I think there won't be a price rise at halving which will kill off the chinese miners THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN.
If the chinese continue to dominate and centralise the bitcoin network then Ethereum will have to take over where BTC failed. As you can see, Ethereum market cap is now $0.5billion and will be $1billion soon.
Good plan except it will hurt non-Chinese miners (who pay more for electricity) more. There's no way out of this trap. Corporate bitcoin mining needs to die. The only way out is going back to hobby mining. |

Bitcoin halving is already priced in. Bitcoin total supply is 21 million everyone knows that so all future halvings are priced in.
Ethereum will grow market cap as bitcoin stagnates. Hopefully the chinese miners go bust after halving which should do bitcoin a favour.

I have not checked ETH charts in 5 days and I see the price! Way up. I am embarrassed at the level I sold at this point.  You should be thoroughly ashamed. I think Ethereum will continue to grow market cap. People are sick to death of BTC right now. There won't be a price rise at halving which will actually be good for BTC in the long run because it will kill off the chinese miners

it depends what you are, are you a day trader or a long term investor ?
Personally I have been accumulating some ether everyday despite price, some days I might pay more for the ether, but in the long term, 1 years time etc, its going to be very profitable anyway, so if you are thinking when to buy but not sure when too, ether at 6$ is still very cheap for the long term prospects.
As a long-term investor, I guess you've been investing regularly since before the bubble then, and not just after price exploded? Strange, because I ran a text analysis on your post history, and the phrases eth, ether and ethereum do not appear at all until 19th Feb... Do me do me lol |

1.V Buterin is meeting with investors and holding talks at the European parliament and shit. There is a whole dev team doing the actual developing.

Ethereum is not just a coin, it is a trading platform that you can create smart contracts. So it is not Bitcoin 2.0 You are a clueless idiot. Ethereum is not "a trading platform" you mentally subnormal cretin. Ethereum can do everything bitcoin can do but does it better. It can also do an infinite number of things that bitcoin can't do. Ethereums market cap is growing fast and will probably overtake bitcoin in just over a year to become the biggest and most secure blockchain. If you don't want to end up as a bagholder for greedy chinese bitcoin mining farms get the hell out of bitcoin and in to ETH before they do. |
