ok - I asked this before and I might be getting confused - if I order this T17 the price is 818.00 shipping is 123.95, brings it to 941.95 - then I use the coupon of 150, which drops price to 791.95. In reference to tariff limit of 800 - which is used to calculate tariff? a) 818.00 (base price) b) 668.00 (base - coupon) c) 941.95 (base + shipping) d) 791.95 (base + shipping - coupon)

my first t17 was purchased right before coins jumped in april 2019 was a nice cheap price it has run pretty much flawless since april. my second t17 will arrive on monday the 23rd . I am hopeful this one is just as good.
I agree - mine has worked flawlessly. my first one was expensive - bought in May, was 1400 but I used a 368 coupon so that helped. this last one was the cheapest one I have had so far at 805 as a side note, all the T17's I have bought were listed/sold as 40TH/s units, they are averaging 42-43 though so I am also happy with that.

My T17 order came today - Ahead of schedule. Was supposed to ship on 21st and it arrived on 21st miners up and hashing

he ordered 1 t17 which was about 980 he paid 250 tax so I am guessing he paid 25-27.6% tax.
I have one coming next week from DHL his came from UPS. I will mention my charge when I get it. I have paid over 2500 in import duties this year. enough for 2 s17's.
Between buysolar me and the warehouse owner we are over 4000 in import duties and over 900 in New Jersey Sales tax. maybe 5200 all told enough for 4 s17's.
the miner was 805 and my tax was 259.97 or very close to 32%. question - the limit is under $800 to avoid tariff - is this the net cost? or gross cost? for example, a T17 shipping in Jan is $818 and $124 for shipping for a total of $942, then if I use a $150 coupon, the net is $792 shipping included or $668 for the miner and $124 for shipping for a total of $792 - as that is under $800, do I avoid the tariff? or will they count the value before the coupon? what value do they use? $818, $942, $668 or $792?

and yes I called UPS and asked for this person directly - got them and provided the information.

I have paid the tariffs before - but this is the first time I have received an email asking me for my TIN: On Thu, Dec 19, 2019 at 7:55 PM < scoles@ups.com> wrote: Dear Customer, Recently the United States enacted a series of Trade Remedies to be assessed on certain products from China called Section 301. Your commodity falls under Section 301, as the country of origin is China, and therefore is required to make Formal Entry into the United States even though the dollar value is below $2500.49. Accordingly a Federal Tax In (EIN) (SSN) is required to clear your shipment through Customs. For your convenience I have attached a copy of your invoice for your review. I am highly interested. Do you have Skype or email? Also check pm I ve sent you
you do realize that this post is from over 2 years ago, right? and OP who posted on behalf of UDAX and claimed to be the one building the units and even claimed to be one of the guys that started UDAX has the following to say about their ex-business partner - they have also listed another effort of doing an exchange (link is on OP's profile - that site is also non-functional. What happened to udax? I’m sure any serious potential investor would like to know about your other ventures.
This is a very GREAT question, I was hired (never paid) by the person in charge of the name and domain name to build a working exchange platform, this being a close business partner that ultimately decided once the website generated over $108,000 in successful revenue that he would just change the domain name away from my servers and discontinue me the ability to process orders and transactions on the site I BUILT because he was too much of a cry baby to pucker up and kiss the fed. I even registered the exchange with FINCEN (circa 2016) the financial crimes enforcement network. I kept backup copies of the sites I built and made sure I collected all the financial data accordingly and put it in a place that was safe. At this time I ceased all business with this person and pursued working with other people who "actually had financial resources to accomplish this". 50 state bonds were needed and there was no way this person was going to provide the liquidity or the real estate to back up the bond so I bounced. On top of this, the functionality of a self service exchange was needed so that after a client passed the KYC/AML process they could deal with their crypto currency of choice on their own report. As of writing this and spending a ridiculous amount of time coding and testing, we are getting close to a beta that we can publicly test however it's currently a process that requires liquidity. The capital I'm looking for helps us A. pay for the servers for a year and B. helps us pay our legal team to qualify and register the bitcoin exchange in the US for people to use. Some of the staff associated with speeding this process along are members of existing massive financial systems which I can't name until after an investor signs an NDA. So as you can imagine, it's a bit complicated, but not lawfully doable. I have invested most of my BTC proceeds into developing and launching this process. More information is available by request, please by all means fire away your questions if you have any. Our law team also takes Bitcoin, so the investors have no need to pay me anything directly. They will ultimately watch us go to work right away. The target is zdax.io, it's on a block of 255 IPV4's, ready to expand into JBOD's etc. Dubbed: Zeitgeist Digital Assets Exchange LLCInvestment Covers:12 X Dual E5, 64GB RAM, IP Pooling Similar to the current machine Backups, Management, Hands and Eyes (For novice techs: It's basically A MASSIVE SETUP OF ***KVM Virtualization*** ) Legal Fees For Launch After everything is correctly registered, there is 15,400,867 USD to collect at fair percentage sitting on the system right now. This helps me settle accounts receivables and repay some smaller existing investors. Legal Fees and Servers are expensive. After consulting with the SEC's criminal investigation unit to understand the ramifications of employing independent brokers they broke down the requirements to employ staff around this exchange so the plan is to register with the SEC. We have a tier 1 credit card processing system available to us underwritten for our bank with verified by VISA and MASTERCARD secure code fraud protection passing industry standards. for people with AM licenses, is there a way to access the firmwares without paying dev fees? and how does that work for those that solo mine? is the dev fee 3% of the time? 3% of the hash rate? 3% of payment - when/if they get paid?

I know what he is talking about, we are talking about -5 and below.
I'm seeing the same problems, probably at the same location...
ahh so super cold - gotcha.
|
|
|
purely anecdotally, S17, S17pro (even more so) and even T17 are locking up in colder temperatures, maybe a thing to consider if you are using ambient air and are in the Northern hemisphere. I am done ordering and unlikely to resume, unless they give me a huge discount.
what do you consider colder temperature? I have had ambient temps drop to 40F and had no issues with my T17s so far - knock on wood.

man they are getting complicated as hell....
as big as they are - refunds/credits should be much easier accomplished. I am now at 22 days since they stated they would issue refund and I am still waiting.
