VIP or not the guy deserves his custom name. I enjoying every time we meet at the unofficial bitcointalk discord server. This is a good reward for a one of the first users joining the server Smiley

@LoyceV, you need to ask for this somewhere else  Wink

Thanks! I also enjoy our discussions on discord!

@MoparMiningLLC: is your Custom Title fixed, or can you edit it yourself?

In case the user can still edit it: theymos, while you're granting wishes, can I have one? Cheesy

fixed - I cannot change it - my user name is still technically Stryfe as well.

this is how it is shown in my forum settings.

Username:   Stryfe
Name: This is the displayed name that people will see. MoparMiningLLC
6551  Other / Meta / Re: Is MoparMiningLLC a VIP account? on: June 12, 2020, 12:30:51 PM
very simple. My forum name was "Stryfe" which was registered in Dec 2017, I simply put in a request to have my forum name changed to match my company name without having to create a new account as I do provide escrow and reshipping services and did not want to create a new account because of this. Mopar Mining, LLC is a registered LLC in the state of Florida - My EIN is listed below my Avatar - I have also purchased land and am working towards building a facility where I can offer co-location services for miners as well as hosting my own miners. It is going slow - partially due to all this COVID-19 stuff and because I am not a rich man either lol

Anyways, I submitted the request and it was reviewed and approved - I did have any expectation or guarantee that they would do it but figured there was no harm in asking. The aka Stryfe is simply to allow people who knew me as "Stryfe" to validate that I am still the same person.

6553  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Platinum, Gold, & Silver @ spot on: June 11, 2020, 07:51:02 PM
I will be putting an order in for a couple before the end of the month.

Please do not order more than 1 gold round at a time from the shop. I have very few remaining and it might complicate things if I can’t fill your entire order.

oh I am not rich enough to buy those lol I will be buying some of the silver ones.

6555  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New s9 upgrade thread. some info is up. on: June 11, 2020, 05:40:36 PM
well when you can get more - i would be wanting 4 boards - I have 2 s9 cases would do 2 boards per case. the S9 boards I can sell or even donate to sidehack to use for his r606's maybe.
6556  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB List- New and Updated on: June 11, 2020, 05:12:26 PM
for your number 7 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5253996.0  though not sure if it is the Chicago style or not - I am not familiar with the book, but I did see it matches the title you listed.

It was a special edition made for the event, "Voice of Blockchain"

ahh, very nice! thanks for the clarification. I love the knowledge base here!

Yeah this was given out for a special event that was in Chicago. I had planned to go but something came up, and the tickets were insanely expensive.  I know they were $300 plus at minimum.  Still on the hunt for this since the meeting was hosted. Surprisingly I've yet to see this thing pop up on ebay and I check often.

I bought 10 of the regular ones - was fairly cheap will prolly keep one sealed, read one and give one to the grandson whos starting to love crypto and toss the others up on here. but I would also like to find that one above.
6557  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] ALL ABOUT BITBILLS on: June 11, 2020, 05:06:40 PM
these are great to add to a collection - I have been searching and they are hard to find. I will keep looking though, I dont hope to get like you have, but I do want to find at least one to add to mine lol

They are extremely hard to find. That's both fully funded/bitcoin intact as well as those that have had the bitcoin redeemed. One place to check besides on here ( obviously ) is on redditt.  From time to time I will see people posting BitBills asking about how much they are worth or if anyone is interested in buying them.  Worth a check now and then.

will do - depending on their prices, I would even go for an unfunded. just to have for the collection.
6558  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] R4 $150 Shipped CONUS on: June 11, 2020, 03:57:59 PM
thanks for the info - will let my grandson know - he is looking to step up from usb miners lol  at my 5 cents per kw, this would lose about 11 bux a month but that wont kill me and he will be hodling the btc anyways - he was wanting to buy an r606 but those are 350 and only 1 th/s --- he just wants something quiet because his miners go in his bedroom lol and not too power hungry. I might have to charge him for the $30 in power this use per month lol
6559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: June 11, 2020, 03:29:36 PM
After a power outage this past Monday, the miner on my Apollo will no longer start. The node starts just fine, but the miner is offline and fails to start... with no error messages displayed when I attempt to start it. I've tried fully shutting down the Apollo, disconnecting the power, and powering it back on - but the miner never starts (only the node starts).

My Apollo (and the official PSU) is on a pretty hefty surge protector, so I don't think it sustained electrical damaged. (Plus, it seems unlikely that electrical damage would leave the Apollo partially functional like this).

My guess is that the issue was caused by it failing to shutdown properly during the outage (during which time the power flickered on and off several times).

Any ideas? Do I need to reimage the SD card and start over?

I'm running Apollo Web v0.1.0 beta.

if the node is working - I would leave the usb drive alone as it stand now, and just try re-imaging the sd card.
6560  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] R4 $150 Shipped CONUS on: June 11, 2020, 03:28:14 PM
damn if it included the psu - i might be tempted - do you recall what the power draw is on these? I can look it up when I get home but if you know, please list it here.

~850 watts. If you need a more accurate number let me know I'll have someone at the data center pull it from the rack and plug it into a separate power supple and put a meter on it.
Might take a few hours. Don't know how busy they are.

-Dave

that is close enough - so it can easily run on 110v would an apw3++ work for it? I have never seen an R4 up close to see what the connectors are like.
