7547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ❤ BDSM ❤ and ❤ Fetish ❤ Mining 30th September 9 pm BST ❤ on: November 03, 2014, 03:19:31 PM
you said UNO Smiley

i'm not smart enough to understand the difficulty thing ... meaning more hash power more coins produced?  It may work but calculating future SHA256 asic capacity, say in 2017, that's a wild guess.  You need super math skills to figure that out Tongue

I favor fee only.  No reward.  Slap on some POS at 0% but can get trans Fees as reward.  Small time SHA miners will provide a safe networkhashps in the small TH/s range to protect network integrity.

And yes merge.  The more people at the party the better the party.
7548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: November 03, 2014, 02:30:32 PM
Starcoin (STR)
Network Hashrate: 128.64 MH/s
Block Reward: 50.00
Blocks: 1,470,435
Block Time: 30.00 second(s)

vs.

Worldcoin (WDC)
Network Hashrate: 11.72 GH/s
Block Reward: 39.90562543
Blocks: 1,539,731
Block Time: 30.00 second(s)

What's your intention of this post? Showing us that these coins are quite the same, but the total hashrate really differs, in favour of Worldcoin?

You can see these stats the way you want. The way I look at these stats is that StarCoin thus really has some potential Wink. As it's appears to be easier to mine some StarCoins than WorldCoins, although I'm not familiar with the difficulty yet (but I make this assumption on the data about hashrate).

you forgot POS, no?  Cheesy  .. that puts booster rockets on stars potential.
7549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SPUDS] PotatoCoin: 100% backed by real potatoes on: November 03, 2014, 02:29:36 PM
After some brainstorming among the development team, we have decided to increase the premine to 50% to ensure farmer control of the cryptocurrency. We will distribute these coins over a number of years in various countries, as opposed to all at once in Kenya.

this is brilliant!

1.  Where ever potato farmers are in most need + ability to 'linkup' then they can get potato chips?

2.  Slow distro, prove it works, document it case by case, get a well tested program of organizing local farmer groups/markets/local area coordinator. etc.  Why not start with a potato farmer nearest to us?  Swap them real potatoes for crypto potatoes, then in the spring they sell the cryptos to fund growning the next crop.

3.  basic crypto dev 101 stuff ... working code, active exchanges, growing community.

4. the international potato bank - spuds on deposit everywhere on planet Earth - "We'll Feed the World" (long term)

I would suggest you prove this a real deal.  There are ways to 'verify'.

And last the premine needs to be held by multi sig.

Still interested.

1.  Is there a SPUDS charity committee?
2.  Who holds the pre-mine?  addie?

I hold the premine. Makes most sense since i'm also the face of the coin, with most of the responsibility. There's not really a "committee" per se, but we do everything at Bitember as a team. I'm Lifeofcray on the IRC if you guys wanna chat with me.

there's http://gyazo.com/118252bcac626f1d88e3d38e78014148 @ potatocoin.net. There's also a block explorer at abe.bitember.com

thanks.  but later down the road the coins need to be distributed or secured by multisig.

just the way it has to be ... trust no one with all the goods ... for more information see magicaltux, ryan green, mybitcoin etc.

The Einsteinium News which will be soft-launched in a couple days will have a whole section dedicated to cause-coins.  There are two stories featured in the inaugural issue, they could be viewed at: www.Einsteinium.biz

If you want to contribute a story about a cause-coin concern we would be happy to publish it.

yes - will do - PM pls when ready :]

@BDSM-Fetish

i think BDSM / Fetish should be party to this cause summit ... you do touch (pun) upon a part of humanity that gets vilified without just cause (philosophically speaking no victim no crime) ... please you bring debate to table.

I do think that M.  I do.

Our style : brilliant and tight : works for the more mature coiners.

Step #1 -- They do their homework and can clearly see that amongst the fair and rare coins UNO shines the brightest.  Just on numbers alone.  They discover UNO via trading and will see our books are sound.  UNO offers stability.  Clearly.  See the chart is all we need say.

Step #2 -- checkout the resource.  We are a bit weak in flash/hype/mediacoverage.  But this should not matter to the wise ones.

Step #3 -- checkout the community/dev.  Here we are strong.  And the more mature coiners whom have spent hours in the threads ought be delighted at the level of maturity expressed on the UNO discussion thread.

so ... we score 2/3 ... I'm not sure if any coin scores 3/3 yet.  And our weak link is the easiest to setup.  Also after nearly a year of being 'killed' by flashy websites and promises of cutting edge new technical features, most investors are burned out and see thru the cosmetics of any coin.  Most have an eye now for seeing the pig under the lipstick Smiley

Once we achieve 0.015 stability, I think most of us and I will certainly, commit $$ to up grading the cosmetics.  So no rush and no worries is my humble opinion.

What is the better investment in terms of UNO projects?

The asset backing projects. (beer,silver,emus)
Hedges and In House trust networks. (OTC)
Network integrity plans of action. (Merge mine-able at 180sec / ready to roll if needed)
Early adopter uno shareholders expanding into side project coins. (UNO Sachs & Synrgy)
Community expansion, and rise of reputation. (The isle of stability)

our style is brilliant: it’s tight: bitcointalk, a bit of Reddit; fabulous in-house tech support and mining analysis and Un-Ex. Our position on CMC is our best ad. Play to that.

And Unobtanium -- Straight to Ale would (ahem) be a fine fine test-case. Can someone RING them?

Gonna get into the garden, and feed Eric and Uno.

agree.  we not built on flashy websites, media/twitter pumps.  Nor 500 page thread of mostly HUD/FUD.

we are however one of the most active/friendly/insightful coin communities on bct and hanging onto nice CMC positions.

our style is brilliant: it’s tight ... naturally it will draw some attention, and we need to be ready-made for the media.

@V500

1. list of crypto-media from the awards ... yes please
2. Frequently informing newsmedia with reports about uno could be a good idea.  (hounding)
3. When they say "Fine we'll look into" Then we say "Here's a ready to publish report"
4. Everyone can write a report.  We just keep collecting them, edit, fine tune.  (then see point #2)

Topics don't have to be "pump UNO" ... exactly.  There have been several good posts on 'inflation' ... BTC is gonna be kicked like a street dog at years end by the media as a popped bubble ... that's our opportunity to stand out.

Also the Blue Crypto ... We can shine shine and sparkle.  By doing follow up reports.

1.  BCT is  a charity coin ... bit dusty right now but happy to work with all ethical coins

2.  Is maza moving towards a market platform for native art/artisans ?  Seems too be?  GREAT IDEA

3.  Is there any formal write up on the disto to the Lakota?  How it is happening?
