8101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] Crypto Currency Endorsement Foundation on: May 09, 2014, 07:18:02 PM
Isnt this a freemarket? Currently, your wallet is your endorsement. Or your mining gear.

For the authoritarians >> they need someone to tell them "this is okay"
For the liberitarians >> yeap, the product is the proof Wink show me /NOT tell me Cool

Design/Layout

Use readable colors. There are a number of new wallets with very similar foreground and background colors that makes reading text almost impossible. Please use colors that make it easy to read balances and addresses.

This is my one BIG wish too.

Colors are ::
white font on dark grey (this is a twek of the defaults?)
and the transactions are in Blue font

This is rough on the eyes, but I do like the fact that the color scheme is different from 90% the other QTs

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=268705.msg3838217#msg3838217

Awesome job on this coin. It might be just Win 8.1 default theme perhaps, but the blue in the Wallet is quite hard to read.
Mini clip below - see bottom right blue text. Any chance this can be made a bit clearer? The cyan type color on the Transactions button may be clearer?

I like

the load screen
the logo and icons
color scheme that is different

8109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the AsiaCoin scam has now taken us to a new level....welcome. on: May 09, 2014, 11:53:40 AM
We have to ask ourselves, who has the most to lose from any alternative becoming successful? Then we have to ask ourselves who determines the success.. Since most alts are valued solely in btc.. who are the gatekeepers?

Its like putting the wolves in charge of the chicken coop.

so few get this

Who has at least 12-15% of the BTC?
How did they get all those coins?

and

Why do all alts rise and fall with btc?

We are [alt communities]

All anti big guys mining and controling within but few point to the well document facts of the BTC realm.

But our day will come my alt friends.  Our job is to have fair and sqaure alternatives to the BTC fiasco.

To anyone that is interested I have found a dev that is willing to take the job we came to a compromise he wants to be paid in BTC but has agreed to escrow  so if you guys are ready to get serious about this please let me know so we can make it happen ASAP
Yes yes YES
 Smiley Smiley Smiley

This is step one and two.

Not that I really know of but I haven't really looked either anyone interested in this let me know so we can get the ball rolling on this what we need right now that I know of is:
1. Community support
2. A Coin dev (that's willing to work for ASC)
3. A Web dev (also that's willing to work for ASC)
4. More community support
5. A media blitz

Action Plan B

1. Community support (that is this right now)
2. A Coin dev (that's willing to work for ASC or BTC but at discount to ASIC offer)
3. A Web dev (also that's willing to work for ASC) ... slow on this one Cool ... ASICs is geeky so we don't need flash just yet
4. More community support via market support
5. More TH ... AND "plan ASIC?" ... why don't we show off some TH/s? ... say a community leading a mining co?
6. More TH ...
7. More TH ...
8. Website + New QT with the best sha algo updates goes beta .. softly on this one Cool
9.  media blitz ... media blitz ... media blitz
10.  but what's the NEWs?  "plan ASIC"

BCC will be POS.... that is fine. But miners like to mine and BCT is a POW coin.

BCC and BCT are two different coins...

Right now BCC has better market penetration and more hype... and has not yet 'Airdropped' However it IS trading and at a reasonable price @ Poloniex... it is also on Europex... The Airdrop could be a catastrophy for the price...

BCT is minable and is 'Airdropping' in a slow and steady way. However the lack of market penetration is hurting...

It is an interesting 'race' as it were....

I will have both coins....

I think the two coins are different enough for both to be successful.....

IF both coins were on C-Cex we could have a BCC/BCT pairing....

8114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MNA] Minacoin | 100% POS | 100% Premined on: May 09, 2014, 09:52:59 AM
The coin will be released in a few weeks once we figure out a proper way to abide by regulation while issuing the crypto-currency.

Do not play the regulator game.

Change the words = save your ass from legal prosecution

"crypto-currency" becomes "electronically issued product coupons"

You sell "products" like any other business.  And the coin is the redeemption voucher.
Just like a gift card.  Same rules.  Keep it simple.

As to us (potiential customers) demostrate in good faith that you

A.  Have and hold the good and it is secured by multiple 3rd parties
B.  Have and hold the cash or BTC to cover redeemption and it is secured by multiple 3rd parties
C.  Publish a very clear redeemption process, with the *option* to settle via epayment 'aka btc'.
D.  describe the "product" in very very exact detail

Coming clean and providing name and address of all liable partners.  Just like any business, if we know who you are and where you are it establishes trust.  And being that you are located in Canada and must conduct business under standardized legal terms is a big PLUS.

It was a mistake, no problem, lesson learned  Cheesy

I don't think DEM will never rise near 20% Of his Max value.

If it were that easy to learn lessons in investing everyone I know would have been millionaires at least 20 years ago.

With the huge influx of "flash coins", do you think there should some sort of foundation/committee to endorse and certify new coins?

Thanks!

BCT is the "foundation/committee to endorse and certify new coins"
after that the market.

Interested if you'd like to polish the process.

Keep the conversation going.
