761  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HOTBIT EXCHANGE BANKRUPT || WITHDRAW FUND FAST on: May 24, 2023, 11:53:05 PM
OP edited the initial post, now it is perhaps the closest to the real situation.
Yes, Hotbit has given a period of 30 days to withdraw funds, which gives room to consider them as non-scam. I see on my account that withdrawal of Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT is currently not enabled. Given that it is no longer possible to do any conversion here, the question is what will happen to the funds of those who have significant amounts of one of these three currencies.
I think they had maintenance on the 23rd, and they updated their nodes. The currencies that can't be withdrawn at this time are BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, USDC, and SHIB; you can try later in the next ten days; they gave a deadline of June 21st to withdraw so rest assured, I have seen a lot of videos of people who managed to withdraw their coins from the Hotbit platform smoothly on other platforms and wallets, what I see is that the Hotbit platform is not a scam exchange platform, but it stopped its services due to the many harsh conditions that it witnessed, you can also submit a request with your situation to their support via this [Link], and I hope that you will provide us with a screenshot of their responses to you so that we know how things will go.
762  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Phishing alert] Kraker Possible Phishing wallet. on: May 24, 2023, 10:30:41 PM
I also was on the way to write in my topic about this wallet and thread.
Thanks go to @lovesmayfamilis for mentioning your wonderful topic. You have made a great effort. I hope you will continue this way and not stop updating it continuously. What is interesting about your topic is that many fake links to GitHub contain Malware and Trojans, whether they are in programs, tools, extensions, etc., The matter is dangerous, as they publish these links in Bitcointalk to target and hack members here by creating ANN topics for them, and we must all cooperate in exposing them and reporting their topics and their phishing links, as the OP did towards Kraker wallet, which contains trojans and malicious codes. Thank you all, and I hope the community is safe.
763  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Seized or Scammed on: May 24, 2023, 09:54:13 PM
Bettercallraut a new exchange recently rugpulled and when you open site , A photo(Domain has been siezed) appears. if someone investigate deeply then one can easily understand that this image is fake and created through image editor. further more the domain is not yet closed which prove the scam of this project. unfortunately the compaign was run by most trusted manager(Royse77) and team not paid last two week payment to manager.
I am not surprised that this new and unknown exchange platform, "BetterCallRaul," has turned into a scam, Even the domain name does not refer to a brand or something like that, but rather to a person, and it is not known who he is. I felt uncomfortable with this exchange, which I saw for the first time being promoted in a signature campaign; Sad for the people who trusted this scam exchange and used it even though many well-established alternatives in the market are popular and safe. Fortunately, @Rose777 will pay out of his pocket to the participants in the sig campaign for the two weeks they worked to promote this nonsense, this is something to be thanked for being also one of the workers in promoting it, and it is also possible that he also did not get paid for being a bounty manager for the signature campaign, There is no conclusive proof, as @hugeblack mentioned, that the platform is Seized. This is a trick that the scammers use to remove the charges from them.
Hotbit on: May 22, 2023, 08:59:50 AM

765  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A Mail I Received Today.. on: May 21, 2023, 12:09:21 AM
And the mail contained a pdf file which they claim contain the details of the transaction, it's my first time of receiving such a mail, and my instinct already told me it's a scam attempt, but I still went ahead to download and open the pdf file since I was on mobile, opened the pdf file and below is it's content..

also tell us if also received such a mail before, what action did you take?.
Your instinct was right. PDF files can contain malicious codes and become a Trojan, and by downloading and running these PDF files on your devices, the malicious code they injected into them will run, and they will be able to hack your devices easily. And if we assume that these PDF files are not injected with malicious code, they can contain links to scam phishing sites by clicking on them or placing your credit card or any critical data; then they will undoubtedly steal you. As for me, I receive many of these phishing messages constantly. It contains PDF files and many temptations, but I ignore them as if I have never seen them. Also, not only PDF files in the mail are dangerous, but any free PDF files available for download on the Internet can contain a Trojan, so what I see is a safe solution for me I open these files are on cloud reading platforms such as Google Drive, and I do not open them on my main devices.
766  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Alert] Someone sending emails "Donate to Bitcoin Forum" on: May 20, 2023, 10:36:20 PM
I have just now received an email with subject "Donate to Bitcoin Forum" from bitcointalkdonations@gmail.com on the email associated with my bitcointalk account with content
Well, the sender email of the scammer is @Gmail It proves that this is a bogus message and this is the deposit address of his wallet; anyone can create an email similar to the official forum mail: noreply@bitcointalk.org with different styles, letters, and domains, so the emails should not be trusted by any person blindly without doing his research, in addition to the donation price to obtain a unique title for the Donator and the VIP are 10-50 BTC. Is there a beginner or mentally disturbed person who can donate this large amount through a message received in the inbox of his email that is full of spam and fraudulent messages? Frankly, I doubt it because of the increased awareness of people and even that these methods are outdated, but in any case, thank you for this topic.
767  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammers on the forum. on: May 20, 2023, 12:00:38 AM
Thanks to you, he deleted his telegram and at least this post won't harm anyone else.
I found other profiles he uses to pull off the same scam.
This brandon6969 profile has complaints about fraud.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=3413799
brandon6969 gives a positive review to another profile used for scams selling the same product that uses the nickname batista6226:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=3517109
In other words, he created a network of fake accounts to give scams selling the same product here on the forum, which makes me think that he must profit just by giving scams on here.
If we look at the accounts that have made positive feedback, we will find their rank Newbie and Brand New, which are new accounts that do not contain posts, except for one post on the topic of this scammer. This indicates a large percentage that he used his alt accounts to publish false reviews and feedback to deceive potential buyers. I feel sorry for your loss, but again, you do not conduct any transactions on Telegram. It is possible through the messages of this forum and through an escrow service carried out by trusted people to guarantee your rights completely.
768  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I GOT SCAMMED. Has anyone been able to withdraw money from Betflip.io? on: May 19, 2023, 11:10:22 PM
here are the scam accusations that I mentioned, if you read them you'll see the pattern they do to scam their gamblers.
BETFLIP.io SCAM ALERT
BETFLIP.IO - scam - 5.5 ETH
betflip.io does not pay me even my deposit amount
BETFLIP BONUS SCAM
I heard about this casino called BETFLIP.io years ago, and there are many accusations of scam other than this, and in other forums and sites, this is a scam and notorious casino, and the strange thing is that it has not been shut down yet, and it is still alive, I do not have 1% certainty that the @OP can withdraw the funds that he deposited on BETFLIP.io since I have seen many similar cases in which the victims lost their deposits in the end, we cannot remain silent on this matter until they continue their crime and fraud in stealing more players. We have to report them to the NameCheap registrar so that their domain is restricted.
769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vastlikes.com - Scam on: May 18, 2023, 11:36:39 PM
Update:

I talked to the Livesupport after i used this page a second time by mistake.. The supporter was not able to find any of both orders i made (i wasn't sure which email address i had used but i was able to tell him the order date and to which account the followers have been sent to) and so he asked me for an actual mail address to send it to the responsible person, who will use it to send me updates about this case.
This case has been ongoing for two years and has not been resolved. Where have you been, man, all this time? I do not see that the @vastlikes user can look into this issue because his last activity was from November 18, 2021, until now. You can complete sending the necessary details to the Live support on the platform or via their official email, and I hope you will try to remember the email of your account through which you made orders, as this will help them greatly. Vastlikes.com platform I have not tried their services before, and I do not know if they have credibility or not. After two years, I hope they will remember that you are still alive and try to send the number of followers of the order you bought or return your funds to you.
770  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: تحذير من محافظ بيدجر on: May 18, 2023, 10:05:17 PM

771  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BINANCE APP Reinstall warning on: May 18, 2023, 09:34:51 PM
1: Why they ask for installing from Playstore instead of contacting other email.

2: Why they didn't give me link of Playstore or Apple instead of giving link looking scam

Of course, this is the scammers' method, they attached a valid and real email to Binance to remove your doubts, but if you look at the sender's mail and the download links, you will find that they are fake. They send this message to hundreds and thousands of Binance customers daily, so it is better to ignore their messages completely and not to download any application for a wallet or platform outside of Google Play or the Play Store and make sure that it is the official application, because in the case of downloading a fake application that contains Trojans or malicious viruses, You will expose your phone to hacking, and they will be able to steal all the phone data, your private keys, recovery phrases, and everything saved on the phone. The matter is very dangerous, and you must be careful and never trust inbox mail messages.

773  Economy / Scam Accusations / [SCAM] Cashskull.com - Ponzi scheme on: May 15, 2023, 08:22:02 PM
What happened:: A scam Ponzi platform that I found by chance in the Bounties (Altcoins) board. It is promoted by a notorious Bounty manager. I found on the CashSkull platform that they offer a guarantee of a quick return on investment to investors and claim that they are the trailblazing and foremost global investment platform ((and their domain has been live for 66 days now)) and that they take advantage of the latest artificial intelligence techniques and investment strategies to achieve swift ROI and risk-free wealth accumulation for their customers. The funny thing is that the platform contains entirely skulls and ghosts as if you opened the gate to hell!!

775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some points that can make the airdrop hunters safe! on: May 14, 2023, 10:40:43 AM
Thank you, guys, for your reading, feedback, and kind words  Smiley

The easiest security tip to people engaging in airdrops is to create a new wallet for almost each airdrop since there are no limitations to the number of wallet one can create on MetaMask or Trust wallet. Once the airdrops pays off you can swap them and probably move them to exchanges or your personal wallet. At least this save one from exposing his coins to the scammers when they are all stored on same wallet
Yes, what you said is correct, thank you, and reduces the rate of loss. The new wallet that the person will create will contain the currency and fees to complete the transaction with, but if the fees are large or the currencies have a big value, their theft will also be inevitable.

Hi, this is a very informative thread. I have not read the thread thoroughly, but at a glance, I think it'll be better suited and appreciated if you move them to begginers and help. One, because people who came here and found this thread most likely has already been scammed and this thread is a bit... too late for them to read, and two, IMO, the scam accusation board is more to --as the name suggested-- accuse an entity, solving a dispute and/or reporting a scam action. Such informative thread like this will be very much helpful and more on-context on the beginners sections
Thank you got sharing these tops OP, I really appreciate your efforts but, honestly, do you think  any of those bounty hunters frequent this board.
Well, I will move the topic to the beginners and help board now, thank you for your kind suggestions, hoping that the topic will receive the interest of members and help as many of them as possible to keep their wallets safe and not fall victim to airdrop scams.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Some points that can make the airdrop hunters safe! on: May 13, 2023, 09:54:17 PM
Hi guys,

In this matter, I would like to share some points that can make the airdrop hunters and newbies in the crypto arena as safe as possible. Everyone knows that scammers have increased in abundance until this year, and they are making every effort to unjustly steal innocent people's money. They can steal anyone's money with just one mistake he makes.

One common mistake some airdrop hunters make is their belief that disconnecting their wallet (MetaMask, Trust wallet.. etc.) from the airdrop site or platform makes it safer and cuts off scammers’ access to their wallet, and this is wrong. Interaction with smart contracts takes place through a signature from the wallet (Approval Transaction), and this signature is not canceled unless the person performs a Revocation Permission transaction.

To protect your wallet and revoke these Permissions, you must go to Revoke.cash - Through it, you can view the Permissions of smart contracts from all networks and all wallet signatures in one place, and you can revoke any contract or signature that you deem suspicious, and the site takes some fees for each transaction.

Or through:

BSC: https://bscscan.com/tokenapprovalchecker
Ethereum: https://etherscan.io/tokenapprovalchecker
Optimism: https://optimistic.etherscan.io/tokenapprovalchecker
Arbitrum: https://arbiscan.io/tokenapprovalchecker
Polygon: https://polygonscan.com/tokenapprovalchecker

Avax: https://snowtrace.io/tokenapprovalchecker

Token Approval:

Quote
What is token approval?
In short: permission for a dapp to access and move a specific type of token from your wallet.

Well, this feature is on the Metamask wallet, and through it, you can put a specific number of the coins that you want to make the transaction with; I do not recommend that you put the entire amount of your coins in the (Custom Spending cap) you can lose some small fees each time if you want to increase the amount of the coins that you want to make the transaction with, but this protects you from losing all the amount of your coins.

Use extensions and wallets that help you detect transactions and changes that will occur to your wallet:

[1] Rabby Wallet: For Ethereum and all EVM chains.  ((Official site))

Quote
Rabby is an open-source crypto wallet in your browser for Ethereum. It is built and maintained by the DeBank team. Designed for DeFi users with a smooth multi-chain experience. Protect your assets with pre-transaction potential risk scanning. Show you the upcoming balance change before you sign a transaction.

[2] Joinfire extension: For Ethereum ((Official site))

Quote
Fire is a free extension that simulates web3 transactions, showing you exactly what will enter and exit your wallet before you sign the contract. All is under control with your current wallet.

[3] Pocket Universe extension: For Ethereum ((Official site))

Quote
Pocket Universe is a free browser extension that keeps your assets safe when you sign web3 transactions.

[4] AegisWeb3 extension: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and more chains. ((Official site))

Quote
AegisWeb3 was incubated by PeckShield, a leading blockchain security company.  It can provide users real-time scam token detection, phishing website identification, and interception. This free cyber security tool protects all types of web3 users from various cyber-attacks and phishing scams that allow you to freely swap, mint, stake, and explore web3 on Chrome.

To detect scam coins on other networks:

778  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: ماذا يحدث لبلوكشاين البيتكوين on: May 10, 2023, 12:00:13 AM
779  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: Ordinals و NFT على بلوكتشين البتكوين. on: May 09, 2023, 11:37:25 PM
780  Local / العربية (Arabic) / منصة بيتركس أعلنت إفلاسها on: May 09, 2023, 11:06:46 PM
[Bittrex]
