at some point you just have to call someone with an ounce of IT skills. You are all over the place tripping on yourself I've got news for ya... I've had a few savvy IT peeps trying to get the miner just to run... using teamviewer & other interfaces.... Ya know who got it to run...? I did... from info shared in here, bit by bit...... amen and btw... its connected to an ethernet switch...to laptop, which uses my android.... many pros said it couldnt be done, and tried to help... and I thank them for that... but fact is... its running now, the ip thing is solved I'm thinking, but simply cant change the miner thru the web interface to "save" the configging... ssl is the only way I am able to access the miner, and physically start cgminer, and physically enter all the info evrry time any hiccup happenz 0.94 indeed stopped the crashing, but hashes just a tad less, at around 260 phoenix, nice to see you mining....saw the struggle for a while....geez.... anyhow, i have read others state about changing the share difficulty to higher than what it should be (unless your pool doesn't allow or sets diff. auto).....I can't explain why, I am sure others could, but that it has something to do with hardware errors and this improves performance.... anyone?  |

My order has been "in progress" since Sunday morning. It is order 199x. I paid somewhere between June 11-17.

do these things default to a 127.0.0.1 address when no DHCP SERVER to assign IP addie???
127.0.0.1 is only for devices to talk to themselves (localhost) Let me re-phrase the question, what happens or what IP address is assigned to a KNC Miner, if these isn't a DHCP server on the network? What would be the resolution to connecting to the KNC miner at this point. Thanks. |

Anyone get a status change on their order that is not Day 1 or Day 2 with a pay date later than June 18th? sbfree, did you ever get a status change other than "in progress"? You're the latest order I've seen so far. I wanted to keep the shipping log updated, but have jack squat for good data. KnC CS is nice, but don't know what the factory is shipping at the moment.

I just checked my acct. on KNC, still 'in progress' and no emails. Arousedrhino, i believe was in around 19xx, and in progress, has said he received tracking number...i think his pay date was june 18th (not sure though), but item hasn't actually moved.... arousedrhino, clue us in, thanks. |

the only thing I can come up with now is that your device has been assigned to you per order#/pay date....but then your unit happens to be defective....now it gets bypassed until new parts arrive for your unit, while the guy behind you lucks out, gets assigned a GOOD unit, and it gets shipped/delivered....and the rest of us suckers get passed on by.....order queue is sacred....so sacred that if you unit is bunk it gets by passed so the guy behind you keeps his position in the SACRED QUEUE? ? well that sucks ...the person whose unit was defective should be entertained first ..basic rule he paid first .... not saying it's right, but I have no other explaination for why one person with a later order #/pay date gets their KNC unit before someone with an earlier order # /pay date..... or why some stay "in progress" while others actually receive units who went into 'in progress' status later. previous .93 and avg hashrate was ~510 with lot of cgminer restarts and FPGA disable... errors. It seems, that the newest one is slightly better.

Upgrade 0.94 has been released.
I'm getting way more hardware errors with that, the miner I update was steadily hashing at 525GH/s (+3 hours average) and its now struggling to keep up to 500GH/s (just a few minutes hashing thou). I'd not recommend upgrading if your miners are running fine. You know how we say, "if ain't broke..." What they added to the webui is the temps, pretty scary stuff, ASIC slots preaking at 70 Celsius thanks for sharing Rampion. edit: are you planning to downgrade the fw was installed before? I updated only one of my miners, will wait 3 hours to check the average and decide then. About temperatures: ASIC slot #1: 57.0 ℃ ASIC slot #2: - ASIC slot #3: 63.0 ℃ ASIC slot #4: 69.0 ℃ ASIC slot #5: 63.5 ℃ ASIC slot #6: - What I can tell you is that for now I'm seeing much more hardware errors and a crazy amount of this "core disabled - core enabled" messages, way more than before. rampion, check that your fans were installed properly...and maybe run it without case lid, even point a fan at it too...bet it improves performance!!! |

Just received my third Jupiter (Australia). to give some indication on order #/payment date Order #: 10XX - Payment Date: 6/5/13 - Ship Date: Oct 3rd - Received Date: Oct 8th Order #: 10XX - Payment Date: 6/5/13 - Ship Date: Oct 3rd - Received Date: Oct 8th Order #: 14XX - Payment Date: 6/10/13 - Ship Date: Oct 4th - Received Date: Oct 9th I was in 1-500 group for a very low order # in that initial range prior to actual orders. so pretty much take the lid off check for chunks of metal, loose equipment, then proceed to connect and power on without putting the lid back on, in fact point a high CFM fan at it too. ok.

also, we should be grateful for the stage that knc/we are at....from what i was told in regards to a bitfury unit, the chinese are partying it up and this has caused a one week delay....
was told the same about a health product made in china, that is has been delayed due to chinese festivities....

so why even change my status to "in progress"??
what does that actually mean? Either my unit is finished and ready for shipping or it's not. In progress sounds like something that takes weeks or months, hell its been in progress since june, when i paid.

Other than those that chose hosting, have any 1-500 orders not arrived in customers sweaty hands?
I think it sort of sux that the hosted miners haven't started hashing.
Maybe the folks at KnC 'listened' to the folks that were whining about Sam working on the Data Center instead of hardware.
The 1-500 thing muddies the waters because pre-registered is a hidden number and some 4 figure order numbers I think are shipping because of it. Yes that's true I paid for one of my pre-ordered 1-500 Jupiters on the last day (6/10) #190x. It was ready for pickup yesterday. Hey Mr. Quote Man, was that pickup in person, or pickup for UPS Delivery man? |
