With all the design stuff, as you get larger of course you will have to add more features to your site, so you have to be careful. One of the favorite parts of your site is the design, and as you add more features and add more buttons, notifications, elements, it might get cluttered and thus not be clean or simple anymore.
Yeah, feature creep is really hard to avoid. Please let me know when it gets started on FastBets. It's sometimes harder to notice from the inside... When it gets too cluttered I will be sure to complain here lol. When you spend SO much time designing things its hard to see flaws because you have been looking at it so much. I have designed many sites and some flaws that are VERY obvious are missed by me. I know exactly what you are talking about :-) |

Just wanted to let people know about our latest feature update: The bet sizes now adapt to your balance more dynamically. Basically, whenever the balance changes by a factor of 2 (up or down) the bet sizes are adjusted accordingly. Of course we always warn users when we change the bet size. This might sound like a slightly boring technical change, but in practice I think this this will allow you to gamble about 5x longer (depending on the size of your deposit) for the same amount of money and will give you more time to recover from a loosing streak. Like almost everything we do this feature has been suggested by our users. If there is something that annoys you on FastBets, just let me know and we'll try to fix it. :-) Not boring at all. I hated having to refresh the page when I won/lost alot because all the options were either too small or too big. It should also auto update which I believe you just added, because refreshing to update is not fun at all. This was a good decision, you shouldn't notify when the bets are being chanced unless the user is betting fast. Cool, great to hear that you like the feature :-) The old version was really annoying. I think we will have to stick to the warnings though, otherwise a user might submit a bet that he/she has not intended to submit because he/she did not notice that the bet size on the button has changed. I'm not sure if the threshold is configured correctly though. If these popups happen too often or the bet size does not change often enough, just let me know and I can adapt. Maybe something without an accept button. Something that pops up and makes a noise for 1 second, so you notice it but its not intrusive, having to press accept or close a popup whenever you win/lose a bet. Your site is very clean, keep it that away, I am a personal fan of clean designs like that. Yeah, something like that would be better. Will think about how to do it best, but keep it this way until then to not trick anyone into an unwanted bet. And thanks a lot for your compliment about our design :-) Much appreciated. |

Wow, of course he will win the lottery, LOL.  It's crazy, I think Hexinary submitted 25 of 27 screenshots. Would have been quite brutal if he had lost :-) As with all provably fair or luck based games, anything is possible. So if somuchee is REALLY REALLY lucky, he can win, with a kick ass payout from the lottery. Of course there is a MUCH larger chance for hexinary. Did it cost money to enter this? I haven't been on the forums for a while and have not really been following this thread up to now. Yup, somuchee could have well won this lottery with a bit of luck. However, as Somuchee made the first place in the main competition, so he won some btc anyways. About the cost, nope, did not cost a thing to enter. All you had to do is win big on Slide Dice. Do not worry about having missed this competition functotry :-) We'll have a new one quite soon. Just a quick update. I have finally had some time to optimize our page load times. For me page load times are now 2x as fast as previously (2-3s down from about 6s). Our goal is to have all pages load in less than 2 secs, so we still have some work to do in that respect. Bets have remained as fast as they have always been. :-) During the security review in the past weeks someone has pointed out to me that the way in which we compute rolls might be susceptible to an length extension attack ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Length_extension_attack). For this reason we have now moved to a more secure algorithm that is similar to the algorithm that site like prime dice and just dice use. Our roll-computation-algorithm has always been open source and that will not change. You can find our new algorithm below. Anyone should feel free to use that code to their liking. So, he tried with a smaller amount, and it went through. That kind of explains some of his weird actions.. Yeah, I guess title is the perfect way to call that, just that I didn't get it :-). Thanks for pointing that out. Will be fixed with the next update (either today or tomorrow). As for the withdraws of the hacker, you are right. He never withdrew more than 0,5, most likely out of fear that we have such a system in place. In fact, we did not have such a system then, but do now... :-) Good Luck with the Restart.

I will suggest to go far some good security provider like mcafee as they pay compensation if your site gets hacked if you are protected by them. There can be other security providers too that I wrote for explanation.
I dont think they will work with bitcoin and they must question what kind of currency is that, but its worth a try and if they agree I guess this site must be the most secure and surely got many people playing this site, since this site is just coming back online ... Have shortened my ramblings here :-)

I notice that fastslots.co still works but it doesn't redirect visitors to fastbets.io. So if some of your players haven't visited this bitcointalk thread recently, they won't know aboout the rebranding and will keep using their bookmarked link.
Great point. I will have to add some sort of popup that informs users that we rebranded. I'm guessing many people do not even notice at this point cause the names are quite similar.. I'm really disappointed that your site was hack.
If you site is hacked please give us some information about it either in opening thread or link a link to the all information you know about the hack

I've been pretty open about this whole issue to be honest. Just have a look at my previous posts in this thread and you'll find a lot of info about what happened. You are right though that I should get this into a more digestible form.
