761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is only Bitcoin and nothing else on: September 19, 2023, 12:06:27 PM
I was going through coinmarketcap today to see some of the cryptocurrencies I was involved in when I started, I was so surprised to see that a lot of them have even been delisted. I was heartbroken seeing that some tokens who raised millions of dollars, had huge community and were trending even in various platforms just died. I wanted to not mention any particular token but I have to mention PumaPay that raised about $8 million yet could not deliver anything and got investors holding a bag of shit.

If one can turn back the hand of time, and assuming I joined this forum early when I started my crypto journey, maybe the concept of shitcoins would have dawn on me and that would have made me convert those worthless bags to Bitcoin when I could.

I know there are other who would have similar experience too and there are still others caught up in the euphoria of getting rich through one token or the other. Well, if it is not Bitcoin, it is not worth holding.
Why not mention others as well? Puma Pay is a token from the 2019/era, why are you still into this altcoin today? Most old altcoins will get abandoned, this is how things go around in crypto space, the only old tokens you should have are the biggest ones like BNB, Polkadot, Polygon and few others, focus more on brand new altcoins with good team and when a bull market comes, dump all of them, wait for another bear market and buy Bitcoin with most if that money.

It's a fact that Bitcoin is the best but you can also grow your Bitcoin stash more faster with altcoins, I still prefer not putting all my eggs in one basket, if you diversify you only need one or two altcoins to do insanely well, and if you have ten altcoins it's impossible they all go wrong.

Bitcoin will always be my end goal, it's the number one coin that I want to keep for years but having 2 BTC now is almost impossible, but altcoins can get me there faster in a bull market, improve your altcoin hunting skills, and make sure you always take profits.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 19, 2023, 11:04:11 AM
@Jawhead999, $1000 or even $500 is a lot for many people, some can't afford this money, they don't have up to this amount in their bank accounts and when it comes to gambling, they will find $1000 to gamble, either through taking loan or other, only to end up losing everything.

It's not a responsible gambling if one isn't making enough money per month and using all they have to try out their luck on a casino, that's a very bad gambling strategy,  there are many things that comes first before gambling, like savings, emergency money, investment money, if all these are set then you have a responsible life going on, then you can start using some small part of money to gamble.

Losing $1000 to a casino is considered a great loss to someone like me, because I am not making up to $500 in a month, that's why I don't use more than $40 max for gambling and most times I even use less than $40.
763  Economy / Gambling / Re: Aviator predictor app to estimate 1xbet crash game on: September 19, 2023, 10:02:21 AM
When it comes to gambling, there is no living soul that knows what the outcome of a bet will be, all they have is to predict, meaning they are just like yourself, relying on nothing that prediction, so why can't you get this done yourself? Also if anyone can predict the future, they will be the richest person on the earth, more richer than Elon Musk and many other Billionaires, all they have to do is gamble and keep winning on every existing casino online and offline.

So ask yourself, why are those claiming to be good at this looking for people? If they are really good at it they should be swimming in money and they won't teach anyone their secret, wake the *uck up newbie.

Just to remind you, 1xbit are scammers and that have been proven so many times on this forum.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deleting Post can reduce the merit we got? on: September 18, 2023, 06:49:44 PM
Good question.

The answer is NO because your merits will remain the same until someone ends you another, it will only increase in number, not decrease.

I was merited on post that got deleted too and my merit number never decreases, so even if a post get deleted someday and you already earned a merit, it stays the same.

Though there is a saying on the forum that there is no reason to hold your Smerit when you have one, I think they have an expiration date on something, so if you have sendable merits it's better to find good posts to send them to.

I think you have gotten the right answer for this topic OP, it will be better to lock this down or you will keep getting the same answer over again.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 18, 2023, 05:15:12 PM
There is nothing we can do to stop this, many understand that casinos are a centralized and yet they leave money on the platform and keep their funds on them, but not everyone do such, I only deposit money into a new casino if I plan to use all the money for gambling and if I become lucky I will quickly withdraw the money off the casino still.

My plan was never to use more money for gambling than I should per week, if my threshold is meet I will quit gambling, everyone should be able to manage their money well, and they should also stay away from storing funds on any casino.

Traders leave money on centralized exchanges to avoid moving in the fund the next day which will cause them to pay extra fees for withdrawal, but they make sure to move their successful trades off the exchange and leave some money behind for trading the next day, casinos are not good for this, if you have to let your money sleep on a casino make sure it's not a lot of money.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 18, 2023, 01:25:44 PM
You've done more than enough so I appreciate you for that, your information consists of warnings that many people don't want to hear about gambling and it's the truth, someone have to keep creating threads like this one because we keep having new members on the forum from time to time, they need to know, instead of them just rushing into any casino with the hope of making money fast, once they read through such topics they will have the fear and probably do the right things before they get started.

Gambling is no doubt the most risky money play that I know, I have seen so many lives ruined through gambling, something that won't affect the casino itself but the customers, people need to wake up.

I am not saying we should not gamble, I am saying it gets into people's heads the easiest, people easily create fantasies with gambling, like it could come true today or tomorrow, so they will start using all they have to make that dream come true. You did a good job warming people and I will keep doing so too, I have hardly seen anyone having a change of life through gambling, they are all messed up.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 18, 2023, 11:33:57 AM
As time goes on, many new casinos got worn out, at first, they have so many things to offer, bonuses and rewards, but later things starts to not be fun anymore, that's where you should stop using such casinos again.

This is one of the reasons why brand new online casinos are not so reliable, both fake and genuine online casinos will come looking for you with attractive bonuses and rewards, do not let this blind you.

I like new online casinos but I still avoid them, some don't even take very long before they revealed their true agenda, just wait it out and see, it's why many new casinos don't last long, majority of them never meant to do genuine business in the first place.

Old casinos have already built their REP so they are much more reliable than every new casinos, until they take time to build and prove their worth.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 17, 2023, 08:01:06 AM
I think it makes sense if casinos are the ones paying the government, I believe that's what they are doing presently, it's why they are allowed to run their business after they are registered, tax on casinos itself makes sense than tax on gamblers jackpot, anyway, I am not from any of these countries so I will never know.

I am from a country that tax payment on gambling is not even needed, whatever the government wants is going to come from the casino owners pocket, and seriously I don't like exposing how I make my money to the banks, if the bank knows then the government knows too, this is why I don't use Fiat for gambling, I'm grateful that we have crypto for this purpose if not I won't be a gambler or a investor today.

I don't want situations where I won millions of dollars and withdraw that money into my bank account, it's going to be a problem as I will have to prove where that money comes from, any big money is probably a fraud or other illegal cases in my country.

Whatever I do about Money must stay away from centralized entities, they will monitor my life if they noticed my net worth.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very safe coin because of good developers on: September 17, 2023, 07:38:53 AM
Bitcoin hack wasn't impossible when it was new, the longer Bitcoin breaths the stronger it gets, the fear was someone rich or some group of people can have access to the 52 percent of all Bitcoin hashrate, which can make them carry out some attack, or maybe call it manipulation on the blockchain by tampering with transactions.

Like what Investopedia is saying here

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/1/51-attack.asp

Good points by the way OP.

I believe there are simple things about Bitcoin that makes it a good coin.

1. The developer really cares about Decentralization.

2. He understand what true decentralization feels like.

3. He knew that the only way to maintain true decentralization is to become unknown.

To make a decentralized coin survive in a centralized planet, there will be so many hate and war ahead, he got it all figured out, he built Bitcoin without waiting to claim the glory, he became a nameless person for the sake of Bitcoin and it's future.

Today many developers don't think before building, they just build because they have something that can work.

Satoshi Nakamoto is more than just a builder, He is a Revolutionist.
770  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: September 17, 2023, 07:09:14 AM
Hi friend, do you know that some casinos don't ask for KYC for gambling?

My Ans: it's only a matter of time, leave them be for now, when the time is right they will be the one asking, they will be forced to ask KYC because success can't be hidden from the authorities, they will come for every successful casinos, unless they want to get shut down.

It's easier for a brand new casino with zero to no reputation at all keep their No-KYC policy alive, because no one will bother them, but as they maintain the business for a long time and many new customers keep onboarding the platform, the authorities will be alerted and they will either fine you or warn you to start asking for KYC, if your casino is really registered you can't escape the necessity of KYC requirements, it's inescapable.

OP, I really appreciate the effort you put into this, but many online casinos have erased every no-KYC policy that they started at the very beginning of their early lives, it's a good way to attract new people to the platform since so many still want a no KYC casino, but they don't always last long.
771  Economy / Economics / Re: Save your environmental economic cycle on: September 15, 2023, 08:33:56 AM
You have a point, the only thing is I don't normally buy things in my country, because they are too costly, imagine seeing something on Amazon for 10$ and in your country it's 3x of the price, that is way too much, some people are using the advantage that many can't buy from outside country to sell goods in their own country, if they are been mercy with their own citizens they will have more customers.

The problem with such people is they want to make a bigger amount of money from a single product, I remember buying an RTX 3070 ti graphic cards for 1000$ in my country while its 700$ online, it's just ridiculous, now I don't want to buy anything within the country except food items.

I understand what OP is trying to say, but I do wish there is a way I can pass a message to sellers in my country too, if the profits they plan to make from an item is twice as the item itself then they will lose customers.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of advice is worth giving such people? on: September 14, 2023, 09:48:37 AM
There must be something they keep doing over again that's causing the loss of their Bitcoin or crypto asset, if you are using your wallet for online activities like airdrops and free token offers you are not far from losing your asset, you will be the one to give hackers the access to your fund, without you knowing.

It's possible to make mistakes and lost your asset the first round, but if it happens the second time it means you will never learn, there are simple things you must know if you want to stay ahead of hackers....

Do not keep your assets on any crypto exchange.

Stay away from any free tokens online, most of them are scam tokens.

Stop running after NFTs, some will take you to a scam page for claims.

Do not use custodial crypto wallets.

If you browse a lot on your computer, do not use such a PC to store your assets, you can run a Linux OS in a separate drive space and keep every crypto wallet on that drive only.

Try writing your recovery seed on steel with a nail or any sharp object and keep it in a safe location.

Emails and online storage spaces are not meant for keeping crypto wallet recovery seeds.
773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another day to take caution of sim swap attack on: September 14, 2023, 09:06:59 AM
Pray you don't become a victim to sim swapping attack, even if you act very fast and report the issue it's still not the end, There was a story online about a man in New Jersey who was a victim and reported back to his service provider customer care, they fixed the issue and he believed them, few months later they stole all his crypto assets.

If a culprit is working as the customer service in the sim company then this is possible, this was what everyone starts thinking, sometimes, this evil act can also come from those within your circle, someone very close can install some spying software in your phone without you knowing, this is why I don't give up my phone to any family and relatives, it takes seconds to minutes to install something you don't know on your smartphone and they will keep spying on you.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does an online Foodbetting site sound? on: September 14, 2023, 08:09:10 AM
This reminds me of the Chinese hot spicy food competition that I used to watch, it's been years since I've watched it last, it's all about how bossy you are at eating hot chilies, and there are few accidents where you can collapse and move to the hospital, it's a harmful game but fun to watch.

Within a few seconds, you will start sweating heavily and your eyeballs will turn red, You will be given the option to quit if you can't handle it, but you will lose money, To win, the opponent must quit or give up before you.

Such games are not safe but it's fun to watch, food is good for the body but it can turn into poison if you consume them wrongfully, I don't think it's a healthy game, just my own perspective.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australia will ban Gambling through credit cards on: September 14, 2023, 07:24:26 AM
Australia is looking to ban credit card usage in online gambling. The reason they give is that Australia loses 25 billion dollars only in gambling in a year. That is a big amount indeed.

Although the title says, the ban of credit cards but when you read the actual news it says that they will ban crypto usage in online gambling too.

Quote
The Bill, set to be introduced to federal parliament on Wednesday, will illegalise the use of credit cards and digital currencies in online wagering and slap fines up to $234,750 on companies that don’t enforce the ban.

Is this bill means that Australia is going to ban online gambling because if people can't use a credit card or crypto, how will they do online gambling?

More Reading:-
Australia to ban the use of credits cards in online gambling
I don't get, the 25 billion belongs to the Australia government or what? It's more like the same thing in every country where gambling is permitted, what is their own business? I don't get it, I was expecting to read something about fund lose through theft or hack.

By the way, even if the government ban Credit card usage on casinos what about crypto? Because I've never even use Fiat or online payment through a bank to gamble on any casino before, it's never going to happen.

I believe this will be less effective if the government is trying to stop it's citizens from gambling because of the losses throughout the year, people will just look for another means, for like crypto.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having the knowledge of bitcoin without having bitcoin is a waste on: September 13, 2023, 06:51:00 PM
Don't post the amount of BTC you bought here and the details of your transaction, keep those details to yourself as it should be private, i suggest you delete that image.
at a point, I got to realize that what will I gain, if I have the knowledge of bitcoin and I don't invest in it to have the experience on using bitcoin and to also have the experience of holding in long term, so that i can talk about bitcoin from experience.
Having knowledge of BTC without investing isn't a waste, you don't have to 'invest' to gain experience about BTC, so many people invest in BTC by buying it and holding it on exchanges, and some even invest through etf's without owning the keys to their funds, these kind of people have no experience or knowledge, but they are BTC investors. You can test all the features you want to without investing, so also can you spend BTC without investing, you can do all of these to improve your knowledge until you are ready to convert some or a great portion of your fiat money into BTC.
People really need to stop embarrassing themselves because they want to reply to a post, sorry if I sound harsh about it, because I couldn't see any vital information on that screenshot, why are you making it look like it's not safe?

There is no real name on that screenshot.
There is no bank account details, no such thing as home addresses either, so what are you seeing that I am not?

Even if he bought 1 BTC how can you verify that it belongs to a John Doe? Anyone can take such screenshots and pretend it belongs to them, also OPs user name is Ruttoshi, that's no real name, it's impossible to know who he is or she is maybe, lets stop addressing such screenshot like it's a big issue, because it's not.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Preparations for BTC Halving and bull market on: September 13, 2023, 05:30:46 PM
My best advice, in this red market, always have some spare money, some people have already run out of money, they have DCA all they could and they can't anymore, I think this is the different between someone who makes stable income every month compare to someone who make money from unstable sources.

If the projects you are betting your money on are solid you will become a winner, since I've been around crypto for years I don't feel panic like I used to, because I now understand the market better now compared to years before.

Whatever you are planning to do, make sure that before the halving is gone you always have enough money for DCA purposes, your reward will be better than those who DCA twice and waiting on the bull market.

Make sure you don't run out of money.
778  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit - be aware, i was lucky on: September 13, 2023, 12:33:47 PM
I don't know what to call someone like you, if I were in this situation I won't even come on here to make any complaints, you earn some free money, isn't that good enough? You got banned for getting free money based on your luck and it keeps happening, did Rollbit steal from you? I don't think that's it.

You should feel lucky that you are able to withdraw that free money, I am pretty sure there is more to why you are banned, maybe you violated the platform or something, but let's push this aside for a second, you got free money from them and you withdraw with no problem., so what's the problem?

With your accusation of been abuse, some other online casinos won't even grant your withdrawal request.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 13, 2023, 10:02:08 AM
Get over it, this happens to almost every gamblers out there, there are days where I predicted some matches and they all come alive, just like I predicted, but unfortunately, I don't use money to place the bets.

It's all about luck, you just missed yours on such days by not placing the bets, It can also work the other way around, like placing the bet and winning nothing, do not take it to heart, it's very normal for such things to happen.

This is why I hate hoping for money through luck, it can mess your way of thinking up, I prefer doing the hard jobs and learning a niche to make more money, if the money isn't enough I will prefer to improve myself, with a demanding skill  you will be a walking gold bar, as people will always want you to work for them on something, and more money will just flow in.
780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I just purchased my first bitcoin on: September 12, 2023, 09:27:59 PM
If it is not necessary, you do not have to show the public the amount of bitcoin or coins that you bought. One of the first rules about cryptocurrencies is to never show the public your coins.

If you are anonymous on this forum and no Nigerian know who you are, that is fine. But if you are not anonymous, hide your coins. This is a small amount but in case of next time.
How much Bitcoin did this fella bought that will make them become a target? Not enough and also even if this fella is a Nigerian how will other Nigerians on this forum know who he is? The only way this will be possible is if the OP contact other members off this forum himself or herself and that can be a very bad thing to do, because we can't tell the type of people that are on this forum.

I don't have anything to hide on here because this forum has nothing to do with KYC and that's why I am loving it, if verifications are available then it's possible to become a target, also if this forum requires for phone numbers then it's another reason to become a possible target.

Many Bitcoin whales addresses are available everywhere online, and nobody knows who they truly are, OP use a nickname to open his account so I believe there is no way to get your identity revealed, unless you do it yourself.
