761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Air, Water, Bitcoin on: January 28, 2020, 05:09:43 AM
If you talk about being safe, I don’t really think that cryptocurrency is 100% safe as some people think it is. The only good thing about cryptocurrency is that it gives us freedom, apart from that freedom if you talk about security , it is good but not completely perfect.

We know for sure that Bitcoin has been manipulated a lot of times and apart from bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies in the market are not an exception, they have all been part of it. I have even seen people that believe that Bitcoin can help stop crime seriously, there is nothing like stopping. Bitcoin doesn’t do magic, it won’t magically make the economy better or stop crimes and make the world a better place. Making the world a better place is up to us.
762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bot trading domination: Time to panic? on: January 27, 2020, 05:41:31 PM
It is not actually difficult to understand the manipulation of the trading bots. Even those bots use some algorithm to place various orders so why can't we learn using that algorithm to place orders opposite to the bots?

Bots are usually useful for various people who never have time to speculate the graphs 24*7 and this gives them the ease to easily make profits from the high volatile markets just by setting few bots onto the exchange by linking them with the API keys. This is something which would save time for each of the trader and hence it might be considered useful. In this running academic year, I guess more bots might be developed which would acquire the markets.
763  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paxful or LocalBitcoins? Which one is better and why? on: January 27, 2020, 03:46:12 PM
I have discovered paxful recently and was surprised to see some buyers are willing to buy btc at much higher price than market.
I have seen buy order upto $17,000 per btc while market price was still $11k.
I wonder why would someone buy at such a high price when he could have bought it at market rate Huh

scam
they buy
receive the bitcoin
remove the bitcoin
and so with dozens of users
Then they ask for a refund in the payment method
and they keep the bitcoin and the money
I don't find this reliable. Paxful too has an inbuilt escrow service on their platform so how would they allow something like this happening on their platform? This might even ruin their reputation amongst the market competitors which would leave a negative impact.

Exchanges like localbitcoins or paxful take majority care of such things and they would never anything like this occur in their markets. Even on localbitcoins, there are some orders which are usually much higher above the normal price but it depends on the margin of profit set by the advertiser and the price displays accordingly. They have hardly any sale due to such high prices.
764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: localbitcoin steals me? on: January 27, 2020, 03:14:36 PM
Hey OP, can you specify which new terms and conditions are been implied by localbitcoins to you? I do not really think that localbitcoins might imply any inappropriate terms and conditions to the user account so why are you not ready to accept those terms and conditions?

You should always try to follow the rules and regulations of each respected exchange so that you never face any problem of rules violation over there and for it, you should go through each terms and conditions before starting with the exchange. Localbitcoins does not seem shady to me and hence they might release your funds if you have no shady activity over the account.

Pornhub added Tether, and the number of wallets with balance over 1 BTC continues to grow

Pornhub is now accepting Tether

One of the world’s largest adult sites added USDT tokens support. Pornhub blog says that it became possible thanks to cooperation with TRON, and if one chooses to pay for the website’s services in USDT, it is recommended to use TRONLink wallet.

Two months ago PayPal stopped supporting payments to Pornhub’s models, which made the platform add new payment system. Justin Sun, Tron’s CEO, said that introduction of payment in Tether is a “a brilliant way to support the victims of centralized payment platforms like PayPal”.

The number of wallets with balance over 1 BTC is growing

Glassnode company experts calculated that number of addresses with one or more bitcoins rose by 10% over 12 months. Now their number is 784’000.

According to the analysts, this key metric shows the number of retail trader. Since the beginning of 2015 this number has double which demonstrates the growing interest to cryptocurrencies.

“The steady rise is the result of accumulation by retail buyers. The rising number of addresses accumulating greater amounts of BTC is a sign that adoption as a store of value is increasing”, — the report says.

Mostly the pornhub community was been payed with wire-transfers or paypal/perfect money, etc but most of those ways were stopped being payed and hence pornhub decided to give cryptocurrencies a shot. Tether being a stable coin gives them them a ease of access for easy and quick transactions worldwide without worrying about the transaction fees and the fees is comparatively much smaller than paypal, etc.

This would surely make them stand on profits for sure so they would continue starting to accept few more reliable coins which would make them more popular. Perhaps, the pornhub models might be facing problems in cashing out the tether and your platform might give them the ability to cashout instantly by finding some better exchange.
766  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hackers and their use of mixing services on: January 27, 2020, 02:05:14 PM
I've already think that this would happen a few years back, however they can't mixed a large amount of stolen bitcoin since for what I've known mixers only have a minimum amount to be mixed a day.

But this is the first time I heard that it was really used by the hackers, well maybe I just didn't focused on news that's why maybe I missed some news regarding this kind of matter and if this is the case I don't think we're be able to track them down.
I do not really agree with you that the mixers have a minimum amount of limits to mix the coins. These mixers can even mix larger amount of coins instantly. There is not a single mixer for which the hacker has to rely onto to mix his coins each day in some intervals, but instead there are a number of mixers which would allow the hacker to mix all his coins in a single day and keep on mixing them until they leave no track behind.

This has attracted a lot of hackers and scammers into the field of blockchain as they feel these transactions are secure for them. There some be some aid for this problem. This is what keeps bitcoins or any other cryptocurreny far away from getting legalized.
767  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with USDT or BTC? on: January 27, 2020, 08:50:24 AM
I trade on exchanges that support both. Then I can use BTC as my regular collateral and switch to USDT in volatile periods where I don't wanna take extra risk.

Right answer, i think people can simply do this thing because maybe (cmiiw) trading pair in BTC is more choice than in USDT pair, and price is almost same i think. If people afraid with volatile, just sell bitcoin to USDT after our trading executed and don't need to worry about volatile anymore.
It all depends on the current market perhaps switching from USDT to BTC or vice-versa will make you a good amount of profit. you can also trade a lot of altcoins that are propotional to its trend for USDT or BTC. Trading should be fun if you know how to spot the possible trades.
This might actually be a good way of trading. You can find a coin which has trading pairs in both Bitcoin as well as the Tether. You can than make purchase in bitcoin in the bearish trend and sell of that coin in USDT so that you can gain some instant profit.

There are a lot of opportunities for arbitrage trading which would work similarly and would give you good profits if you are quick and instant in buying and selling those coins at the approx time. USDT gives us a stable income as the price is not much volatile but it might also not give you excess profits which BTC would give you. Bitcoins have high volatile price and hence they might give you higher profits by keeping bitcoin in your trading pairs.
768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors? on: January 27, 2020, 08:15:03 AM
I can see Bitcoin SV in the list. But mostly investors are holding bitcoins at the first place. Any investor you introduce and ask them to show their portfolio, you would find bitcoins in it. Each investor has bitcoins in his/her portfolio which are been holding for years. There also some some major altcoins which might give profits for the long run so investors also diversify their investment accordingly.

People are starting to have faith in bitcoins back which leads to a better future of bitcoins. Big whales too have accumulated the markets so we might really see immense growth in some of the top coins and that's the reason why makes the investors hold coins for long term in their portfolio.
769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You CANNOT trade successfully without RISK-MANAGEMENT on: January 27, 2020, 05:30:43 AM
A good backup plan or you can say the plan B of trading is very compulsory. Trading is not traditional as other jobs. In this you do not always get what you actually think about. Instead of crying on our lose and completely blank mind you should use extra precaution and be more intelligence in the time of loss. The decision made at that time would predict your future, if you have a positive plan B, may be that return your whole loss, if you will sit blankly, mourning on your loss that would break your heart permanently from trading.
Yes, we should always have a plan B in case we need to face any loss. There always should be a backup plan which would save our money in case we are on an edge to have loss. Proper money management would always help us from facing higher losses as we would only loose the money we have excluded for a particular coin.

Markets are highly volatile which would never guarantee you profits but would also keep a constant risk of having loss and a back-up plan in this situation would be a life saver one. You could instantly change your trade if the price starts dropping by implying some of the useful strategies which would never make us bear any loss.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery In Your Place on: January 27, 2020, 04:42:24 AM
Gambling through lotteries is never an investment. It should not be treated as an investment. That would be a wrong approach. An investment will have to have an ROI. Joining lotteries has none.

And lotteries do not only require basic luck. It requires that you are lucky to hit one combination among millions of others.
There are millions of people to buy those lottery tickets and the price itself depends on the number of the ticket holders so you really have to acquire a strong luck. Without luck, I hardly think you could even win the lottery. Lottery tickets too is an addition to some community and they spend 40-50% of their income in buying these lottery tickets.

I have personally seen some similar people who are huge fans of the lottery tickets. They would never miss a single lottery ticket to buy and these perhaps they might win a single lottery from the hundreds of lottery tickets they bought. Actually winning a single lottery too can give us huge profits no matter how many tickets we bought and perhaps this might be something which is attracting people towards the lottery.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 26, 2020, 02:14:20 PM
i do for many times,i sometimes use half of my weekly wages to use in betting ,things that becomes our quarreling issue with my partner.
my financial status turns worst as i am getting closer on addicting that is why i stop dreaming of achieving my financial goal in life as gambler instead i work hardly to feed my family and reach my goal,it may take long time before i made it but at least i am a dedicated man now and gambling teaches me many things in life.
Gambling is actually not meant for people who already have huge financial loads on their back and have not yet stabilized their economic conditions. Gambling is much addictive and hence we might lose the funds we are holding on hands. Gambling is actually meant for people who have excess funds kept aside and would never matter them if they even loose that entire amount.

But for us, if we want to earn a passive stream of income than gambling would never be something for us. Gambling would become most addictive in our lives which would always make us lose some percentage of our hard earned money. Even I consider working hard for money rather than depending on gambling entirely.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 26, 2020, 01:33:13 PM
Lebron James literally is said to spend 1-1.5 million dollars per year on just to preserve his body, that is not to say he won't age one day but that dude can be 40 years old and can still dunk on people and none of us will be shocked, he is 35-36 years old right now and he is still playing like nothing happened to him, his play style had to change as much as for his body but also the game itself as well. When he first came into the league for 5-6 years the game was build around playing slow and having hardcore defense, I think it was his first year where Pistons won and they were known to keep their opponents under 80 points many times that year.

So, it is equally important of him to start shooting more, start passing more, start using screens more and not just focus on driving inside and dishing back out anymore because the NBA game in 2020 is totally different than 10 years ago as well. Sure some parts can be attributed of him getting older and trying to not force his body too much but it is not just that, it is the game changing mostly, dude can still and even sometimes does still go in and dunk on people.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: January 26, 2020, 08:46:05 AM
Those would remain the same factors. Marketing makes the altcoin gain more exposure and it than creates higher demand for the altcoin which would boost it's price. Market making would similarly grow the price for altcoins by expanding the demand.

Technology is behind the development of altcoin and it would always allow us to generate newer and advanced altcoins for the betterment of the community and it would keep on boosting the price for those. Cryptocurrency markets depend on the demand and supply factor as well know and it always derives the price for them above if the demand is higher. We could see the similar in the bull and bear markets.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Institutional Investors Bring in the Next Wave of Hype to the Crypto-Sphere? on: January 25, 2020, 05:19:10 PM
How do you even know whether that’s true or not? They have been saying this since 2018 that we need institutional investors and they would be the ones to make the market grow, and till now I still haven’t seen any much changes and the last price movement upwards I wouldn’t say has anything to do with institutional investors.

So this means they are no better than whales? It just feels to me that activities like this just drain money away from people. I think it can affect the popularity though but assuming people also enter the market the same way as these investors instead of buying bitcoins themselves, yeah, doesn't really do much good for adoption.
I believe that guy is right. I have thought of the same thing, those institutional won’t even be buying bitcoins rather they will make use of platforms like Bakkt to be betting on it. Even those of them that gets interested in investing direct into Bitcoin will still be the same as the whales we already have, manipulating prices and ripping money off the market.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!! Disaster for BitCoin... Who Stole all of PETER SCHIFF's Bitcoins ??? on: January 25, 2020, 09:28:11 AM
I’m confused, what do you mean that someone stole his Bitcoin?
But, he said that he lost them and they were not stolen, so how do you arrive on your idea that it was stolen? You even said it here that it was as a result of a software update that made him lose his Bitcoins.

Let’s just take it like that, he made a mistake and he lost his Bitcoin, there’s nothing we can say about it and there is no way he can recover it and we also feel sorry for him. On his Twitter he even wrote that he knew owning Bitcoin was a bad idea but he never knew it was this bad.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO]The Nasty Secret of Bitcoin Exposed on: January 25, 2020, 08:27:36 AM
The video explains how Bitcoin turns your ownership into membership, which is exactly how classical fraudulent schemes operate.

https://youtu.be/dVIXcnbpRMg
There’s nothing I haven’t seen people say about Bitcoin. I don’t really know what’s this guy is trying and I didn’t even stress myself with watching the video to the end, it doesn’t make sense for me to be watching because I’m still not going to believe whatever he has to say, as long as it’s not something good about Bitcoin but only to label it a scam.

First I have seen people say that Bitcoin Ponzi, that was the popular and I have also seen others try to explain it in other ways, all they are doing is just to make believe that Bitcoin is scam. So, I don’t have that time.
777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Tips for Traders here on: January 25, 2020, 07:41:37 AM
Before you begin read, I am not an expert nor am I here to turn anyone into professional. So the basic aim is to just add some sense that I was lacking when I started my trading career.

So for traders, all I say is follow these tips https://www.latinpost.com/articles/142690/20191123/tips-for-the-perfect-day-trading-strategy.htm, as I said these are some things that I was missing heavily in early phase of my career, so I hope youngsters can learn from it.
Most of the tips mentioned in that source as common ones. Traders can not really depend on those tips in order to start their trading(here, by traders I mean newly joined traders).

Any individual who wants to start his/her trading career really needs to spend most of their time in learning about trading before they could start with it. It includes, studying and analyzing TA, compiling graphs with various strategies and patterns, etc. Once you gain basic information about such phenomenons than you can move onto paper trading or demo trading which would give you more detailed information about the markets and also you would be able to personally experience the flaws in the markets.
778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Options is a bit overwhelming for me. Any Suggestions to make it easier? on: January 25, 2020, 06:59:11 AM
Here is my suggestion. When you feel you are difficult to learn trading options for some time, and you cannot get a profit from trading, it is better not to continue trading. You can try with the other type of trading, for example, you can try with crypto trading, which will be easier than the trading option. Crypto trading is not too complicated than the trading option, so I think you can learn the lesson of the crypto trading, and you can try to make a profit too. But both trading options and crypto trading need the experience to get the profit, but in crypto trading, you hold it for a long time, and not doing trading every day.
Technical Analysis is always an important factor to study no matter how advanced you get or which trading strategies you use upon. Understanding the trends in the market graphs are made easy with the TA and also it might give you a brief description about the coin you are investing into.

There also are some news platforms which do share daily news about the markets movements which makes it easy for our Technical analysis and also it does give you a lot of general information about the coin you are investing into. Learning new strategies and patterns is an interesting thing for me. I spend most of my time in learning newer strategies which makes me better at trading each time so I would suggest the same to you too.
779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss, A life saver or a evil? on: January 25, 2020, 06:24:14 AM
Hello,

I had this question in mind, since many of my trades with an adjusted stop loss got triggered, but then the market goes in the direction I wanted, but since it got triggered basically im out. I know this is due to big fishes messing around.

What do you guys think, is stop loss something or, or not so good?
Maybe you didn’t set the stop loss the way you’re meant to set it. You shouldn’t be setting your stop loss at random levels, you should be setting it in a position that will allow some fluctuation, that means you have to put it below the swing low, which what you have just explained here : the price of Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency you’re trading can fall and also bounce back, that’s why you have to make sure you’re following the trend.

Making use of stop loss is not really as easy as some think it is , I have seen a few people complain the same about missing out after their stop loss cancel our their order.
780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the ways i can cash out Bitcoin in another country? on: January 24, 2020, 05:14:58 PM

If i ever go to another country and try to cash out Bitcoin,

what are the ways?

Only two things i can think of...

1. Make certain bank account where i can cash out Bitcoin

2. In person

1st option may not be possible though at certain country...

Any thought?

Bitcoin ATMs or if your country that you go have local exchange which able to convert cryptocurrency to fiat of their country you can use it.
I think the exchange option is better compared to bitcoin atms which known takes too high fee for redeeming our crypto to fiat. But if the bitcoin atms is the only way, you should use it.
Bitcoin ATM's entirely depend on the availability. I do not really think each of the countries might be having bitcoin ATM's around each corner of their state so this option might seem not applicable here.

If OP was already aware about the bitcoin ATM and if the place he is living currently has any of such ATM's than I am sure until now OP might already have been used such ATM's as using those ATM to in cash our bitcoins is always a better option in foreign countries as we hardly have any local documents for verification onto any of the local exchanges so it might not be a suitable suggestion for OP.

Bitcoin ATM are convenient to use but what we lack is the availability of those globally. Most of the countries do not even know what actually bitcoin ATM's are and they have not yet seen any of such regulating so there needs to be awareness about those globally.
