My FUN tokens which were locked just got matured today and now I have accumulated 12500 tokens which is the sweet spot.
I would get 8 WoF spins daily but I guess I need to hold the tokens for sometime.
How do I know the time from when I will get 8 spins daily ? Added a screenshot below if it helps.

What is this Level 1 and Level 2 ? I didn't get this.
762  Local / India / Re: India is creating a Global database of Crypto Exchanges. on: October 04, 2023, 04:05:03 PM
I recently came across this news on Economic times. All global CEX have been or are being requested to share their user database to the government of India. Every major CEX has made it mandatory for its users to pass KYC, it will be easy for them to collate the data and share it with India. India took this responsibility as it had the Presidency of the G20 summit 2023.

The problem that India will face is that these exchanges are based in countries that are tax heaven, those exchanges cannot be forced to share the data. India has time till March 2024 to come up with the database before the next G20 summit in 2024. Once the database is created it will be shared with the G21 group to fight against crime commited using cryptocurrency.

What do you think will be the impact of this database to the Indian community that are using International centralized exchanges?

Thanks.

So they are planning to invest 200 cr in their development center and improve their infrastructure but they haven't mentioned anything about their development plans.
If there are plans of making development to their exchange or something new in the crypto sphere then it would be great.
Even if they are not making developments in the crypto sphere and making the development elsewhere then I take it as a positive sign because it will contribute to India's growth and boost economy.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting paid on gambling accounts on: October 02, 2023, 04:28:57 PM
I made a mistake of getting paid for signature campaign in gambling platform accounts.
When I got my payment, I thought I would slowly increase the amount by about 5-10% before I initiate a withdrawal. But I quickly lost control of my emotions and ended up blowing the entire balance of my account. This happened more than once, it happened about 5 times as I received money from different sources.
It’s important for me to tell this story so that others don’t make the same mistake I did. This has been a huge life lesson in managing money and emotional self-discipline .

You are in the forum for quite some time now and I wonder how you made such a mistake.
It's sad to know it took you 5 times to understand your mistake. You should have learnt it at most 2 times blowing up your account.
But I am glad you at least acknowledged it now. Change your campaign address to a self custodial wallet and set up a strict budget for gambling.

Can you tell exactly how much you gain money after four hours of Auto bet, and by putting per bet at 5 satoshi ? Also, what is your strategy for this? Do you double the bet on every loss and once you win, you will be back to 5 satoshi per bet ?

I tried this game with the setting i just mentioned above, but even after few hours of play, i either lose all my money or i end up in break even, not losing and not winning much at the end of the day.

He has already posted his strategy in his previous posts. You can find it below.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg62920878#msg62920878

Did you run autobet for straight 5 days? Or were you just playing for 5 days when you had a free time? Once I tried a strategy like that, had my computer turn on for straight 12 hours, went from 0.001BTC to 0.006 BTC, then withdrew 0.005 BTC, left 0.001 BTC on account balance and tried again, won 0.005 BTC and withdrew 0.004. Then, the next day I tried the same with 0.001 balance, lost it, repeated and lost again. My conclusion is that you shouldn't stick with strategies and overall, you shouldn't play for profit. There is simply no way to beat house because it has 100% guaranteed advantage over you.

So, my advice for you is to never stick with a strategy that has worked for you yesterday because there is no guarantee that it will work today.

I run autobet everyday for 3-4 hours, with same strategy. That last time when I lose it all it was my fault. I was little late for that promo( 1 hour left to claim) . So I put 25 satoshi per bet instead of 5 satoshi. That’s why I lose all.

You should have skipped that day instead of going in with rush and greed. May be if you would have avoided playing that day then you would have saved some coins.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 02, 2023, 02:56:24 PM
Stopping to repeat mistakes in gambling is easier said than done. I guess everyone knows some of these spectacular poker hands at the WSOP. That's a great example because most of the time the winner was someone who made a good number of mistakes. There are some of the wildest hands only because someone made a mistake almost knowingly and everybody else knew it as well. Jamie Gold is one of those guys who played really bad in so many situations and yet being the winner was the result. In the end these games all involve luck and you can play perfect poker, make all the moves that everybody thinks are right and yet the chance to win a huge tournament are so damn little. Imagine you play 10 hands in the showdown with a 90:10 chance. If you were to go for these 10 showdowns, the chances are quite high to lose it.

I think in a casino it is really much less about strategy, but I don't know too much about it. Though when I think about roulette, the best chance I can get is a little below 50% of winning per round. There are lots of videos on youtube with special tactics and how they get debunked because it's just not true unless some illegal stuff is applied. If anyone here knows a strategy with guaranteed profit, feel free to share it Tongue

If there was such a strategy then why would anybody share it ? They would keep it to themselves instead and keep making money while they can.
Gambling does involve luck and without that nobody is gonna win. In fact all those you people who win despite by making mistakes are winning because of luck.
But the wise ones are those who identify their mistakes and rectify it the next time.

That is why I made that smiley at the end, nobody would share a winning strategy if there was one, and those sharing those strategies on youtube don't make their money from the strategies they share, but from ads and the people watching their videos.

Aren't you contradicting yourself when you first correctly say that it is all pure luck and then at the end you say that the wise ones identify and rectify their mistakes? Something doesn't add up here...

Yeah, it does sound a little contradicting but what my point was is the gambling does require luck and even if we have a good strategy but if we don't have luck by our side then we will lose the round.
The second part was that while gambling we tend to make some mistakes for example going beyond our budget.
There are many such mistakes we do which we regret later but the wise ones are those that learn from their mistakes and rectify their mistakes.
766  Local / India / Re: Oct 1 | Tax on online gaming & casinos set to 28% on: October 02, 2023, 02:50:16 PM

But the question is that tax rate for crypto earnings is still 30%. So the earnings from crypto gambling sites would be taxed at 30% or 28% ?
I personally think it would be 30% since crypto is involved and the government wouldn't leave a place where more tax can be collected.

Source: Online gaming: 28% GST comes into effect from October 1, CBIC makes announcement

Assuming we go through the legal way, as in you use a crypto casino to play and earn some profits then transfer the winning amount to an Indian exchange. You then convert your winning to INR. The taxable amount after the TDS deduction would be nil as it does not fall under capital gain if you did the conversion on the same day. You won't be paying 30 percent tax as per your earnings as it does not show you made a profit. The government cannot go after International crypto casinos that are based on a foreign soli regardless of you being a verified KYC user.

Unless you buy crypto, gamble it, take the profits and exchange it to fiat again on the same day, it's not as simple as it sounds.
The tax calculation will be complicated when crypto is involved and more complicated when gambling is making losses to us.

Quote
The law only applies to those individuals who are using local casinos with fiat money. This is not quantum computing or something out of logic to understand. This is a simple loophole in which the Indian government cannot do anything. Unless they come up with a law that forces a user to verify their personal wallet. Why I talked about the personal wallet is for you to understand.

Is it mentioned anywhere that the law does not apply to crypto casino sites ?

Is it only on the winnings?
One of my friends earlier told me that they rolled out something like we will be taxed even on our deposits no matter if we win anything or not, he said that this is to reduce the use of apps like Dream11 and all. Btw, I'd also like to mention that they got a notice of ₹25,000 crores for tax evasion and are 1 of the 12 companies to whom the notices were sent, totalling it over ₹55,000 crores.

If things will go this way, no wonder people will do their best to fly away from the country thinking that everything is being tightened up just to let the poor remain poor or become poorer, and the riches become richer as hell.  Undecided

As per the previous rule, TDS was applied on winnings from gaming and so I assume that the new law would be on winnings too.
Yet, I am not sure and so I cannot guarantee the same and further clarity is required for the new law.
767  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading can ruin you on: October 01, 2023, 06:44:55 AM
Trading is most times profitable and sometimes challenging to traders, but it can ruin you just as gambling if you don't know how before venturing into it,  I have had a handful of terrible experience while trading and I discovered that it can return you to square one in terms of your finances if precautions is not taken.

Though am a better trader now, but I still thred with caution,  the best way for newbie to navigate their way in the market is to buy and hold, then sell when the price goes up.
When it comes to future market, newbie should stay off because it's for experience traders, even if you run a poll of people to tell of their experience in trading in this forum, %80 of people will rule out trading as a no go area based on their terrible experience while trading.

So newbie, stay of trading futures if you know nothing about technical analysis or fundamental analysis for not to be ruined.

Buy low sell high is easier said than done. We all have been there and sold the coins in panic.
We should have a strong self control to stick to our targets and stay focused because during the times of high volatility, it's hard not to sell.
Staying away from futures is mandatory for newbies though. Newbies shouldn't go for futures as long as they know what they are doing.
768  Local / India / Oct 1 | Tax on online gaming & casinos set to 28% on: October 01, 2023, 06:24:41 AM
Starting October 1 which is today, new GST rates are applied on earnings from online gaming, casino sites and horse racing.
Earlier, tax was applied on net winnings from online gaming only if the winning amount was more than 10,000.
But then later it was announced that TDS of 30% would be applied on all online gaming winnings.
Now they have decided that it would be 28% GST on online gaming winnings which is a relief of 2% from previous tax rates.
I had also made a post about it earlier 30% TDS on online gaming

But the question is that tax rate for crypto earnings is still 30%. So the earnings from crypto gambling sites would be taxed at 30% or 28% ?
I personally think it would be 30% since crypto is involved and the government wouldn't leave a place where more tax can be collected.

769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: October 01, 2023, 06:07:13 AM
There are some gamblers who come to know about their addiction to gambling even after a long time. There are many people who do not understand the addiction even after gambling for a long time. Gambling has negative effects mainly for those who do not understand the addiction. There are some gamblers who take a break from gambling temporarily when they lose their money and become active again after managing their money. Those who are able to understand them as addicts should share their gambling thought with someone they trust so that he can give him good suggestions to recover from his addiction.

I fall under the category of those gamblers who take a break after losing a decent amount of money in gambling.
Mostly the breaks are for few weeks until I make a new deposit again and start gambling.
I think it is necessary to take short breaks so that we don't get addicted to gambling.
It also makes us a responsible gambler by keeping a track of our losses.
This is good because you can indirectly limit and control the gambling activities that you have carried out because most of the gamblers out there still find it difficult to stop gambling when they lose and they are more likely to choose to continue playing or betting in the hope of catching up on their losses.
When you can stop easily to rest then you have become a great gambler and not all gamblers can be like you.

Moreover taking a break when you experience defeat can make you calmer easier to control your emotions and of course you can come back again in the future full of confidence.

It does require a strong will to stop though. We all know how tempting it can be to just keep trying your luck to win more.
Even I have experienced losses like these once upon a time but then taking breaks made me understood that it will ruin my bank balance.
Once losses go above the budget then the problem starts and the fix was to limit the losses and set up a strict budget for gambling and follow it strictly.

771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: September 30, 2023, 03:02:48 PM
When we gamble what we are looking after or expecting is money which is [profit] and when buy bitcoin and invest what we are looking after is [profit] and when you so many people they skip bitcoin investment to gamble and some uses very big amount of money to gamble whereas the same amount of money will achieve some fraction in bitcoin investment. So I come with this question to know the thing between this option or words I presented the one that done you more harm, if bitcoin  has done you more harm during the times you invested in bitcoin you can tell the public and if gambling has done you more harm by losing in gambling frequently you can also tell the public.

But for me I think gambling is the one that done people more harm than bitcoins investment, because almost every day people gamble with different platforms but its few of people that invest in a day or weekly, I will like us to discuss these.

Lol. I am sure most of the people would say the same thing that it's gambling where they have lost more.
Bitcoin is in fact very safe when compared to gambling. Holding bitcoin for long term has only made profits to me.
Whereas more than 90% of the times I have lost money in gambling.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 30, 2023, 02:50:47 PM
Bitcoin is a very useful thing to many people. It has provided very good opportunities, job opportunity, trading opportunity and lots more for many people to earn money for their essentials of life. Bitcoin halving is fast approaching, giving many people hope of investment, and making reasonable profit at the end. Yet in some countries it is completely illegal. What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?

Bitcoin is decentralized and even if the government doesn't legalize it we can still use it. All we have to do is find a P2P connection that is genuine.
I know it might sound like going against the government but if you believe in something then you should do anything to achieve it.
I trust in bitcoin and holding bitcoin is not a crime. It's just that we shouldn't use it for the wrong purpose.

Anyone can do this if they don't mind getting into trouble one day.  If the government bans cryptocurrency and implements a law that everyone who participated in it can be arrested, then I do not think it is worth the risk of participating in Bitcoin trades because it is labeled illegal.  I won't compromise my own safety just because I believe in something that is not acceptable by the law.  Whether we participate in Bitcoin activities or not, we can still survive.  It is not a matter of life and death that we have to gamble our own safety and freedom.  It is not wise to exchange freedom for another that is a much greater freedom.

If the government is passing a law that people can be arrested just for holding bitcoin then there's something very wrong with the government.
In that case I would be thinking of shifting to another country where the laws are better.
Even if I am not able to shift to another country then I would sell my coins but keep at least some portion of it where the government is unable to track it.
May be in future if the government withdraw the law then those coins would give a boost to my portfolio.
773  Local / India / Re: ZebPay Teams Up with Brave to Offer Rewards Program to Users in India on: September 30, 2023, 02:40:43 PM
I guess this partnership will be a good advantage for both Brave browser and Zebpay exchange.
But I wonder how much were users earning earlier when they were getting these rewards.
I remember my friend taking part in this program earlier but he wasn't satisfied with the rewards.

The current price of 1 BAT token is INR 14.65, in 2021 when the bull run was happening it was INR 132 approximately. They stopped BAT rewards sometime in 2021 before the bull runs. It was better than what it is now, I used to earn somewhere around INR 1000 or more using three browsers in every 2 months time. At the moment it would be very hard to make that kind of money in that timeline. You would need more than 10 browsers to earn a small amount of INR 1000 in just 2 months' time. When the next bull run comes the value of BAT should increase and at that time I am sure a lot of users will use the same trick to earn those tokens.

I did like the tech behind BAT project back then and also took part in it by downloading the brave browser.
But I was more comfortable using firefox right from the beginning and hence gave up using brave.
I did hold on to BAT token for few weeks but then sold it back in those days.
I do remember one of my friends bought BAT token around 4-5 years back and is still holding on to it.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: September 30, 2023, 02:34:14 PM
This has been discussed way too much and I believe there is actually no point in doing that at all because someone would barely change their mind by solely reading such posts or anything and they will still have the same mindset that they've always had. You might school someone regarding gambling and tell them what they should and what they shouldn't do when gambling but at the end of the day, they will just do what they think is the right thing for them.

People don't go by facts or experiences of others but they want to experience it themselves in order to learn, and sometimes, they don't learn even from their own experiences because you may see a gambler lose some money one day and you will see them gambling again the next day without any regrets.

If there are people who are not learning from their own mistakes then they deserve the consequences of their mistakes.
Every gambler is wise enough to identify their mistakes. If they don't stop repeating it then it's obvious that they will end up in a crisis.
That is what has been happening till date. Some learn from their mistakes in gambling and fix it while others end up in debt.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 30, 2023, 02:17:03 PM
Yes, obeying your own rules to limits gambling is indeed difficult if you are already addicted to gambling, but all this can be prevented if gambler are able to thinks clearly and can do it responsibly so that they can controls themselves and still be able to set these limits so that they don't experience too much many losses because they are able to obey the rules that they themselves apply.
and this is very important to apply to every gambler not to overdo it when playings so that they can still create limits when gambling.
Gamblers who are addicted to gambling must begin to realize that they are addicted to gambling so that they can think about what they should do to reduce their gambling addiction. If he can't control himself and instead gets deeper into gambling, he probably won't have the chance to reduce his gambling or even stop gambling. If they could accept the fact that they are addicted to gambling, they might be able to see that they still have a chance to reduce their gambling addiction. If he can be honest with the people around him about his problems, he may be able to get solutions from those people and can start to reduce his gambling addiction with the help of those people.
There are some gamblers who come to know about their addiction to gambling even after a long time. There are many people who do not understand the addiction even after gambling for a long time. Gambling has negative effects mainly for those who do not understand the addiction. One of the biggest issues that I find is that Bitcoin seems to boring of a topic for most people...technology, money, socio-economic issues...
So for the past year and a half I've been working on this piece of art that turned into a newbie-friendly, fun and colorful mini movie,
that takes you through the roller coaster ride of bitcoin's 13-year history Smiley

https://youtu.be/Fvt1Ma1Nep4

I hope you enjoy it, and please help spread the word!

If this art was really done by you then you are really creative at your work. It was amazing.
At first I thought you have drawn it on a paper but as the video went on I found that the drawing is actually on the walls.
Although the information was generic yet I feel it was truly a great video for everyone to watch and especially the newbies.

778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking scams ...How are Bitcoin better? on: September 29, 2023, 02:39:32 PM
The Banks are continuously improving their service with offering that are more user-friendly and easy to use. One example of this are "Contactless Card Payments" where you tap your card for small purchases.

The scammers have figured out how to use that service to their advantage... by simply tapping it continuously (if it is not limited) and if it requires a pin... by watching you and following you after you have made a purchase. (They then take your card by force and physically tap it until your account are empty)

They also use card skimming devices to "clone" your card and use pin hole cameras to capture your pin while you are typing it. They can even bump into you with a device that will initiate a small purchase from your card that can "tap"  Roll Eyes

Your credit card are constantly under attack, when you use it online and your Banking Apps are making you a target, because they only need access to you to force you to enter your pin... then they can change daily limits and transfer as much money as they like. (Local criminal syndicates work with Bank employees to identify potential targets.)

So, I was thinking... How can Bitcoin be better? Can we find better solutions for these attacks and will these solutions still give us ease of use? (No complexity but still user-friendly)

Share your experience with these Banking problems and give possible solutions for this, because we will draw a lot of people to Bitcoin, if we find innovative solutions to problems like this.  Wink

Don't you think that all of these issues are present because of the ease of convenience of credit cards ?
Any person can increase/decrease the credit card limit by just logging into their account and just doing few clicks.
We have physical credit cards so that we can easily make payments.
Further more they added tap feature to make it more easier to make payments without any pin.
All of these are making us more lazy, less secure and more prone to attacks.

Bitcoin is already better by making it harder for attackers since we have to enter the address, the private key/pin, double check everything and then make the payment.
There might be a little inconvenience in using bitcoin (although I don't feel it) but it's worth it considering the fact that we own our coins and it is secure.

It is very important for newbies to know how to own and manage bitcoins in their wallets. They need to explore and get very comfortable using bitcoin.
Newbies should invest a very little amount into bitcoin before they get comfortable using and know how to secure their coins.
Once they become good at it then it's their personal choice and can invest whatever they like as long as they believe in it.
780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do hacks still occur? on: September 28, 2023, 04:21:10 PM
As long as we are using computers/mobiles or lets say any machines, they will be hackable because there is no perfect code out there.
Even the best code can be vulnerable is an expert tests it. Every system has bugs and only the master minds can find it and exploit it.
Besides that, there is a shortage of cyber security employees which is why companies fall prey to such attacks.
