maybe but if the prices drop AND I can snag a coupon, then it will be even a better deal (that being said, I am sitting here with 2 T17's in my cart right now....)
7782  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 18, 2019, 02:26:09 PM
I may wait and see what coupons people get and buy some coupons and get some gear then.
7783  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 18, 2019, 01:16:02 PM
and what would they do if the transaction price was higher? make you pay more?

also - does anyone have any valid coupons even? I used to get them by the dozens for prior orders but I have made 4 or 5 orders now and have received none.
7784  Other / Meta / Re: THEYMOS - we want open debate on how YOU are on the wrong path here. on: September 18, 2019, 01:50:47 AM

Allow me. ChipMixer pays BTC0.00075 per post, or ~$7.60. And what you no doubt believe to be suchmoon's favourite cookies* cost $2.69 per 175g, or $15.37 per kilo. That's almost exactly half a kilo of cookies per post! Better pedal hard to work off those calories!

*Sorry, suchmoon. I just couldn't resist. Tongue

I read this entire thread - took the better part of a two hours - had to take a break that involved copious amounts of coffee and aspirin.... and I all I got from it is the above.

I WANT $7.60 per post Smiley
7785  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 18, 2019, 12:43:42 AM
yea. debating it. still in the air if I just ride out what I have until after the halving. I am super intrigued to see what happens when rewards are slashed - will huge farms shut off? will the difficulty drop back under 10? or even lower? how much will transaction fees increase? if they go too high, I can see that as a huge turn off for people trading --- all again depending on how the price climbs as well.
7786  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 18, 2019, 12:25:34 AM

7787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: September 17, 2019, 11:28:22 PM
I shut my Apollo off via the switch on the psu - so that I could get an accurate dB reading on my R606. Approx. 10 mins later I turn the Apollo back on, and it starts up but then just goes with a steady red light and I cannot remote into it.

Before this, it was running flawlessly.

nvm - I removed the SD card and reinserted it and now miner is back to mining as normal.  false alarm.
7788  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Terminus R606 on: September 17, 2019, 11:07:42 PM
What horrible thing happened that you saw 81dB? Around here they're so quiet I have to stick my hand in front of 'em to make sure the fan's still spinning.

lol, note that is the loudest reading, and the meter is sitting right on the exhaust exit. It might be ambient noise too - I should take another reading with the Apollo off - here I will do so now - so look for an edit on this post in a moment.

this is probably a much more accurate reading with the Apollo off

what's the price limit to avoid tariff?
7790  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Terminus R606 on: September 17, 2019, 10:19:05 PM
Your results for Voltage settings 4 and 5 look good.  Curious how you did on Voltage level 6?

Will be doing setting 6 and 7 tonight

update: my results for settings 6 and 7 posted above.

due to the restarts at 700 mhz I set Target frequency to 690 and on setting 7 - will see if that will be stable.

maybe they can provide a test model of the T3+57T for someone here to review?
7792  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Terminus R606 on: September 17, 2019, 01:46:48 AM
RMA was completed and new miner came in and is up and running with zero issues after almost 4 hours of operation so far. Playing with voltage and freq settings presently. will update the post above as I try out different settings.
7793  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: September 17, 2019, 12:50:24 AM
thanks! will give that a spin

to be sure - this is my command line would go when adding the freq change?

Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://bch.viabtc.com:3333 -u MoparMiningLLC.003 -p x --api-listen --api-allow W:0/0 --gekko-r606-freq 750

edit: yes that is what I need to do in the command line - I am on setting 4 with freq set to 750 - i will post results here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5180588.0
7794  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: September 16, 2019, 09:07:47 PM
The button adjusts voltage in hardware only. Frequency is a software setting and so has to be set via command line.

ooh gotcha - I misunderstood then. I apologize. its on setting 7 with 550 mhz and running between 723 to 777 gh/s - overall average is 704.8 gh/s but its only been running 16 mins - I will give it some more time to get a more accurate average.

edit: is there any reference as to what the advantages/disadvantages are of each setting? and what is the freq range that we can attempt to use without breaking the r606?
7795  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: September 16, 2019, 08:58:22 PM
got my replacement today and its been running about 5 mins now will update if I have any issues.

running it with the following command line for now

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://bch.viabtc.com:3333 -u MoparMiningLLC.003 -p x --api-listen --api-allow W:0/0

will look at changing the freq via command line later, as it seems that no matter what setting I set with the buttons it stays at 550 mhz on all 7 settings.

Did you clear all cache and cookies? Granted using different browsers should make that moot but, maybe still worth a try.

yes I did that - it eventually worked again after a few days - forgot to come update here and to close the thread. sorry.
7798  Economy / Computer hardware / Antminer T15 for sale on: September 14, 2019, 04:18:28 AM
listed it on eBay but will share the link here - https://www.ebay.com/itm/333329452976

if there are no bids and someone here wants to buy it in crypto - I will cancel auction and we can work with escrow. but I cannot do that if someone has fairly bid on it on eBay.
7799  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: selling 3 BW - L21 Scrypt miners w/psu on: September 13, 2019, 06:28:56 PM
**bump**

two days left on eBay - these are very similar to the Bitmain L3+ miners

https://www.ebay.com/itm/BW-L21-Scrypt-Miners/333321200934

current bid is $225 for all 3 with $50 for shipping.

I have gotten no responses to my inquiries on being able to visit their location for local pickup.
