Nobody can use the asset exchange at the moment because miners with the most stake are still on Qora versions less than 16.
If you try and make an asset, you will fork and eventually join back on the longest chain that does not include the asset.
Can the big miners switch to v16 already?

What are you talking about? The longest chain is on v16 and we only faced fork problems in the first day of AE and never again. AE is working fine for me. This is correct. Big stakers are on v16. |

My balance alone would kill the voting for most of the people requesting it.
I am in the process of trying to speak to qora about what he wants to Do. Right now we know he is working on wallet upgrades and then we should vote again at that point as it is the end of his vision.

On 2014-09-21 13:59:30 i transfered 800k Qora from poloniex to my account. In my wallet briefly shown this amount. Then drop balance to zero. Now this amount qora is gone. Where? There is no sign of any transaction under wallet transfers. Blockexplorer didnt show anything. Any help?!   Please raise the issue with Polo since they must have been on a fork at the time. |

Alright guys i need a bit of help. I am getting a cartoon video made to explain Qora.
I will include the following:
New gen 2 coin written from scratch.
Password protected wallets that can be recovered/generated from seeds.
New Proof-of-Stake algorithm.
A JSON RPC API to directly communicate with the client.
Naming Service: allows the user to register a key-value pair which can be used for various purposes (URLS, addresses, …).
This Naming Service will also include an exchange where users can buy and sell keys.
Voting System: Allows voting inside the client to make community decisions such as which feature will be implemented next.
Colored Coins/Assets.
Arbitrary Transactions: a simple feature which allows users to send any payload they want over the network.
This can be used by third-parties to build additional features on top of Qora (data storage, chat)

Qora dev will open it when the community decides it should be opened or when the dev himself decides to?
It was a bit of both. Originally the investors said not to open source and that is still the concenus of the big holders but Qora left a cryptic note saying that the direction wasn't working so I am not too sure what that means. Either way we are gaining traction and if people started doing things to promote Qora instead of feeling sorry for themselves it would help. |
