He doesn't respond now. Mooncoin.info is offline.
I've tried to contact him, too.
Yes, also tried it on different channels. No answer.  Sad

I'm afraid something happened with deaconboogie,
That would be really sad.

or he decided not to participate in MOON development any longer.
Then a short message from him about that would be nice. So we can build up the team and take over the relevant places like here, reddit and mooncoin.info, to carry it on in a professional way.

Anyway let's be grateful to him for this bright coin he created for all of us.
Yes, definitely.

Edit: Just tried to enter 100.000.000 MOON in the wallet's amount-field for sending. But there are only 8 digits possible to enter. So 99.999.999 seems to be the limit, indeed. My question now is, where to find this limit in the code?

I don't know any crypto with higher limit. Probably it's better not to change it. Price will be 100 times higher, and this limit will not matter then.

Right. So it seems that at the moment it is only a "luxury-problem".  Cheesy

Made some updated logos was just messing around Moon should have a modern logo - to represent the Crypto it could be i like the last - but give feedback.

<3

Er, no, not really.

Edit:
BUT: It's really nice to see people thinking about Mooncoin and being creative for it.

And about logo: the best one is the first one, created by deaconboogie.
People remember it. I mean people who were trading MOON at the beginning of year, when MOON BTC trade volumes sometimes were higher than DOGE volumes.
And it's not bad in fact.
I suggest to keep this logo at remembrance of MOON creator.

That's what I think would be best, too.

remember this! their use creates value. buy moon and give away to your friends!  Next important step is found dev for another mobile wallet android and ios apple...

For that we need to advertise a bounty, most probably.

i'm moving 2bn out from cryptsy to a new wallet i created  Grin
I don't want to have tentation of sell them when it reachs +60 litoshi.

I only sell on satoshi  Cheesy

Edit: Its hard to withdrawal 2bn because you only can withdraw 99.999.999 on each transaction  Angry

Yes, it's really time-consuming ...
But not the fault of Mooncoin. Only Cryptsy's own limitation.

I think you are wrong, in one of my desktop wallet i tested to send more than 99.999.999 and its impossible....

Have to check it out. Until now, I only tried it from Cryptsy to my wallet.

Edit: Just tried to enter 100.000.000 MOON in the wallet's amount-field for sending. But there are only 8 digits possible to enter. So 99.999.999 seems to be the limit, indeed. My question now is, where to find this limit in the code?

With a small amount of maintenance and branding moon in the future could easy surpass Doge -

As you mention it: I'd really like to see some ideas, what all of you think Mooncoin should stand for?
Which brand values should Mooncoin imply in your opinion?

For me I'd like to se it presenting itself as a very stable ever rising currency. So to speak the Moon for the cryptocurrency world (if you refer to the function that planet Moon has for the earth). I'd like this image very much.  Smiley
Mooncoin should be immune against pumping and dumping-"attacks" as much as possible, that only upset everything but don't really add to the value of a coin.

Why is everybody always buying when it is has already doubled? Less room to increase your holdings..
What do you mean exactly?

halving in ten days !

Moon mining rewards will be cut by half in 10 days !

Not exactly by half. But like this:
Now: Blocks 200,001-250,000: 0-600,000 MOON
To:   Blocks 250,001-300,000: 0-350,000 MOON

P/S : for those planing a hard fork, please give exchange and everybody  2 months to get their new wallet ready to prevent nasty thing happening

2 months is a little bit high of a setting.
I've been following some other hardforks for different coins. They most of the time did not have major problems with time-frames shorter than that. Often ~4 weeks was working well. The problems most probably won't be on the side of pools and exchanges. If they are maintaining their end correctly, they should not have a problem with upgrading their systems in time. If they don't, even 2 months wouldn't be sufficient.
If there are occurring problems, they will most probably rather be on the end of users, who did not use Mooncoin for a longer time, then opening their (then outdated) wallet, trying to do a transaction and wondering, why the sent coins don't arrive at the other end.

The P2Pool-scanner-link in the first posting seems to not work correctly. Leads to a "forbidden"-message.

Just found this one: http://just-wegi.de/myriadbounty/

Maybe we should setup something similar, so we can organize bounties efficiently for special tasks regarding Mooncoin?

However, when I launch it for use with apache2/fastcgi I get into trouble with it... Or at least launching bitcoin-abe doesn't want to launch.

Have you checked out, if you have everything installed for Apache and Python regarding FastCGI?
http://www.electricmonk.nl/docs/apache_fastcgi_python/apache_fastcgi_python.html
https://docs.python.org/2/howto/webservers.html

Don't know, which distro you are using, but this could be helpful, too, for you to have a start:
https://packages.debian.org/squeeze/python-flup (here for Debian Squeeze, should install via apt-get or aptitude)

I'm running this on Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS and vaguely remember something about +ExecCGI with /usr/lib/cgi-bin, but can't say if that was the solution or not. I don't remember bumping into this 301 status before. It's so annoying that all the snapshot tree got destroyed Sad I just could have doublecheck the configuration with it ;_;
Anyhow, I've been checking and double checking what I did with the instructions and there's no difference at all. Except last time, with Virtualbox, I ran postgresql iso mysql, but that doesn't matter.

I might just revert this to the previous "clean" snapshot and try again.

Check this one out:
https://github.com/bitcoin-abe/bitcoin-abe/issues/140

Might contain helpful information for you.
Only at the very end of this lengthy thread it turned out, that he copied code that contained spaces, which led to the system not working ...  Wink
What does your frontend show, if you try to access it?

Wow i totally forgot about this coin. Whats the current float?

Nice to have you back here.
To "get onto the float", maybe this is right for a quick overview: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389403.msg9040668#msg9040668 (only the maintenance of Cryptsy's wallet has ended, so you can send and receive Mooncoin to/from them again fast).

Other than that, just spread your ideas here.  Smiley

MOON/LTC with a 24 hour-volume of 6.38 BTC on Cryptsy. That is even more than VTC had combined in both markets (BTC and LTC), for example.  Shocked

Edit: 8.14 BTC volume now (3 hours later) ...

DUMPING INCOMING, PREPARE YOUR LTCS TO THE AVALANCHE!!!!!!!
I have 130ltcs at 7

It seems this will be a hard...Lets wait.. Wink

If Cryptsy is acting responsibly, they are letting this go into the market only in tranches over time. Let's hope the best.
