781  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY or SELL bitcoins ? What you prefer ? on: December 21, 2015, 04:52:38 PM
the last few hours bitcoin prices down and I panicked, I fear bitcoin prices well below $400. So i'm sell my bitcoin Grin

Yeah the price is going down now but I don't think it will last long as 2 months back, barely anyone could assure that the price would be $450 when it was $250. Selling all the bitcoins wouldn't be wise though and hence you can prefer selling a part of them as after halving, the price might increase.
782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone know why Bitcoin is down today? on: December 21, 2015, 10:50:38 AM
Just curious.  Thanks.

Not sure.. I'm wondering too.

Th reason for down fall might be some people are encashing their bitcoins into fiat for getting ready for the occasions. More over a pull back is more common in a commodity trading before going forward.

Going down and coming up are two sides of coin and every organization has to accept it. Also there's not a specific reason for downfall of btc. The reason may be users of btc are lacking interest to trust btc as its competitors aims to spread rumours about btc to be a hurdle in its growth.
783  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: December 17, 2015, 07:56:58 PM
A creditcard would help, but first you need to target the audience by something they care about; clothing, bags, shoes.
Have them buy it with a nice discount and you will see that in no-time bitcoin will be crowded by woman.

I too agree as women do need to know about the currency and how useful it can be. If only major online shopping websites and banks adopts this currency, the currency would be dominated by women rather than men. Many women handle their banking work in their houses as they need to manage the budget.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallets do you use and why? on: December 16, 2015, 03:43:05 AM
I myself use 3 different wallets. One is on my Android device, one on my desktop PC and one online.

The one i like the most is on my desktop, MultiBit. I like it because you can quicky generate new deposit adresses and keep track of your incomes and outcomes. I only use Blockchain for some payments, and on my mobile phone i have MyCelium wallet, which i use for mobile/QR code scanning payments.

What wallets do you use and which one do you prefer and why?

I use xapo at first. for my faucets.
then coinbase... for gambling transactions.
and i use coins.ph as my main wallet.
as coins.ph is where i buy and withdraw btc with fiat and viceversa.

I too recently got coin.ph after a friend's recommendation. I found it is more convenient and useful. Their recent added 7-Eleven service also most useful for depositing funds into my wallet in BTC that too instantly.
785  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 15, 2015, 02:22:28 PM
Men winning a million dollars or euro is my dream, if I had that I would buy some bitcoins only 5K worth of bitcoins.
Only when bitcoin is 250 dollars. I know that is not good that bitcoin price goes to 250 dollars, but is cheap to buy.

The difference between dollar and euro is some 12% to 15%. So, I will accept even it's in dollars.  Tongue
But, I will invest all the money into bitcoin and may start a bitcoin mining farm. Surely I will set up a full node to contribute to our bitcoin society.
786  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: December 12, 2015, 02:28:57 PM
Those people who keep on saying bitcoin is already dead were probably people that used to sell all their at a lower rate before and probably they were butthurt and full of regrets right now seeing bitcoin having a good price Cheesy I said that cuz if ever that will happen to me, I will also say bitcoin is dead Grin

Yes, there are many different kind of people who has either missed or refused the bitcoin benefits. Ups and downs are most common for any commodity, so bitcoin also faced a downfall from $1200 to $200 levels. Bit this is not the evidence for claiming bitcoin is dead.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever win something big in demo mode and feel stupid? on: December 11, 2015, 06:57:53 PM
Yeah i have had this happen quite a few times. The thing is when playing with victious money you take a bigger gamble and your win amount increases. So if you win you win more then normally. IT is very handy though to learn the game and see if you understand the rules.

I see it is a learning time. You don't lose, but you win experience.

Experience hardly helps me in gambling. I find everyday as different and gambling teaches me a new lessons always. The demo accounts are mostly profitable for me. But when I apply the same strategy I never find same type of results.
788  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: December 11, 2015, 01:54:50 PM
I think the last few months are evidence enough that btc is not ready to die yet.

Yes, of course. Bitcoin prices a bouncing back to make the rumour spreading people understand how stronger bitcoin ecosystem is. I believe bitcoin prices were heading towards new higher levels above $1200. Then, there will be no point on any arguments against bitcoin ecosystem.

Yes, last two months are the answers for the argument of bitcoin. There is no support for the claim that bitcoin is dead. Bitcoin is getting stronger and stronger each and every day by means of growing bitcoin adopters. So higher value is inevitable with respect to bitcoin growth.
789  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: December 11, 2015, 11:51:21 AM
now im holding only small btc and i will sell my bitcoin if bitcoin reach $1000 it's my long goal Smiley
but we must know some fact (in my opinion) : volume of trading bitcoin can make people interested in bitcoin , in https://www.tradingview.com/ chat about bitcoin is more popular than other currencies

$1000 must be a suicidal target and definitely will make you regret for your actions unless you leave some more bitcoins for future use.
When people will in race to buy bitcoin, only very few will be selling their bitcoins without realizing the true worth of bitcoins. Do not join to those very few people.
790  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: sent btc to a wrong wallet address. is it lost? on: December 10, 2015, 07:03:53 PM
i am just new here because i got a big problem: i sent btc to a wrong wallet address.  Cry    actually the receiver gave me the wrong address and it was not my fault.

OP, have you considered the receiver may just be claiming he didn't get the coin?  To get you to send again?

He got super scammed, clearly. The "receiver" sent him a BTC address, then went "Oops it was the wrong one." *roll eyes*

Please, common.
Yup I feel the same. Whom received his BTC from him If he loyal person. I am sure He ll return it back, another possibility also there If that wrong btc address guy may be Not active using his wallet. This two may can apply for him.

I too guess the possibility of second one.
Because many people are using cold storage wallet addresses and many bitcoin address. So, watching a address is possible only with a expected transaction. Other wise it may take a year too for the receiver to find that wrongly sent amount. At that time he may not recognize it as wrongly received.

This must be a very sad situations if we are unable to contact them through signing a message with another low amount of transaction.
Any way sending a message through a transaction will make him to react even after a year also would be fine. The catch is he must be royal enough.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: December 09, 2015, 05:29:32 AM
If you are a risk taker and potentially have a high amount of Bitcoin to spend on casinos, it may be a once in a while investment. Most people do not make a living off of gambling off of Bitcoin casinos and I would discourage Bitcoin gambling as much as possible. Once in a while might be okay, but all the time is too much. Nobody wins gambling, and the less you gamble, the better.

Yes, gambling needs just dedication to win with a particular skill. So, if we have enough skill to make profits then we can just follow the some idea and stargey to get bigger returns from gambling. The amount of winning from gambling is always big as I have seen around my friends circle.
792  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: December 08, 2015, 07:22:16 PM
Lol, why would anyone pay for porn these days when it can be so easily pirated?
As a young man, that's also my question. I still don't get why people pay for porn which can be easily searched and watched for free. Probably those people who buy porn were old men who know little about the internet Cheesy

Anyways bitcoin and porn will be a great combination for some people, but I won't still buy a porn even with bitcoin.

I also will not be ready to spend my bitcoin and that too for porn?, no chances at all.
Still many people are getting moving along with bitcoin's current price and they are giving more important for living today kind of concepts and enjoying by spending their bitcoin in porn sites too.

Nothing wrong in spending some bitcoins for now in my perspective too.
We earn for our life. Saving for life long would be meaningless. There would be some time will come for spending, I too believe that timing is today. So, spending for porn is not a sin.

Good point. If no body is ready to spend their bitcoin means, we can not see bitcoin goes to main stream.
Spending also will move bitcoin ecosystem forward.
I guess porn industry has many advantages for bitcoin growth like any other sectors. So, we need some people who are spending their hard earned bitcoins for porn contents too.
793  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: December 08, 2015, 07:15:17 PM
I had one bitcoin, then I sent it to a scammer  Undecided

it does not matter, now someone else has one more bitcoin, and anyway seeing how the nature of bitcoin is, not everyone can hold one bitcoin at the end

in the future we would do the same thread but with " do you have 1 bit" instead of bitcoin

Oh I think these are the days we are all waiting for right? Smiley
I mean it is possible to get there but it will take us a long long time, probabaly decades!
How many of us will have the patience to hold their coins that long? Just a small minority I believe.

I guess, we need to wait for decades.
Once bitcoin hit new higher prices then no one will stop it going to moon as our total world will want to embrace bitcoin for their own reasons. At that time one full bitcoiners will be millionaires in my perspective.

You are right. Bitcoins value appreciations would be in exponential growth.
One full bitcoiners will turn millionires in my view too and the world's richest people are bitcoiners and bitcoin would be the prime medium of exchange world wide.
You may see some threads here with "Do you have 1 Satoshi".
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you play loteries ,did you won something on: December 08, 2015, 02:45:55 PM
imho lottery is a pure gamble, and i love to play it.
blind outcome it make something different for me. once you won you feel in heaven. several times won it .

Maybe you're one of the luckiest person down to the earth. Only for the heavenly people can make lotteries winning several times in their whole lifetime.
I tried lotteries many times but never ended in winning it. Winning after many losses would be a great feeling but the losses in several attempts cannot be beared by me.

Yes winning in lottery or any other gambling would be great but not after many losses. But I do not know how people are finding their joy in winning once, even after many losses. This may be the one of the reason gambling houses are most successful and profitable.

Yes. People are seeing their winning moment as the starting point of their profitable life. They believe once winning will crack the entire gambling code so that they can keep on winning every time there after in their rest of life.
But the beauty of gambling is just to give you one winning to keep your hopes alive.

Very nice point you got.
This must be the reason people are enjoying their only once profit even after many losses.
Usually in gambling, the rare profits give you hope to keep you fully engaged in gambling. You will never think of your losses, but you will try to repeat that only once profit again. This is the reason lotteries are most successful.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Behaviors Lead to Gambling Addiction on: December 08, 2015, 02:18:51 PM
I think people who gamble only think about the winnings and chances they get to win. They don't think about the consequenses that comes after losing. They don't realize what they are doing until they are actually losing and by that time they just wanna continue placing bets because they get another chance to win their losses back.

Yes the arrogant behaviour of winning each and every single bet they place money at, they wish to win it. If you place gambling as a fun and a way to entertain, you will never fall in a trouble. I personally know many hardcore gamblers who now curse themselves for gambling earlier in their life. So play safe Smiley

Yes being aggressive, must be the prime factor which is leading to gambling addictions. Many people are intensively gambling to recover their losses or to double their betting amounts. These intensive nature always lead to addictions of gambling.

Aggressive nature in gambling is not at all a good characteristics for a successful gambler. Because when we are unable to control our emotions and being aggressive will lead to not to follow our disciplines and unable to take good decisions at right time. Eventually aggressive nature will lead to gambling addictions for sure.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will you Chinese cause another BOOM? on: December 07, 2015, 12:19:53 PM
China puts it up, then when they sleep everyone else puts it back down Sad

But that's not simply possible in a high volume markets. I do not see only the Chinese hand in down as well only other people for down fall from $500+ levels. When China bought, more people joined them. When prices stated to slide down, the total bitcoin world tried to get a better price.

Yes. No single hand can not manipulate a billion dollar markets. But the group of Chines people across many bitcoin exchanges rapidly bought to make bitcoin testing $500 levels last month. But once market got movement the rest of the world has joined the race. That must a truth, we can not simply ignore.
797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here's how mass adoption plays out in my opinion on: December 07, 2015, 11:55:04 AM
I feel like we're still so far away from $1000. Bitcoin hasn't raised in value that much this year as you are precidicting it will happen next year. I think we'll just have to wait and see what next year will bring, if you are correct about 2016 that's when I'll believe we can reach those numbers in the future.

Yes 2016 is the year for bitcoin is going to bring us many wonderful things. The halving would be a one of the reasons for that. Comparing to 2013 spikes, bitcoin is now in more stronger with more people are adopting it and using it for day to day life.

I guess one of those wonders already happened in 2015 itself.
Till halving, I too believe people will keep on buying bitcoins for their own reasons. It may extend after halving also. Because once the up wave gets triggered it would take more time to get settle down.
798  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where u use bitcoins? on: December 07, 2015, 07:48:45 AM
I'm usually convert bitcoin from my local exchanger. ( usually contact throught BBM service )

Once I got the fiat, I spend some for my school need and some for my entertainment

With bitcoin, I can make more money to help my family

This is the common scenario most of the people are doing right now with bitcoins. I would suggest them to go bitcoin debit cards to save in exchange fees and time delays in converting bitcoins into fiats.
I do save most of my bitcoins just like investments for future use. Rarely I spend for trading alt coins.
Yes, bitcoin debit cards wonderful way for spending bitcoins every where we wish. The fees associated with these debit cards may be a concern for many people, but these are very much reasonable fees if we consider the real use of these bitcoin debit cards.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 07, 2015, 06:08:43 AM
With Amla gone, I believe India will be the favourites.
They just have to keep chipping away.

Yes Amla wicket would be big hope for India to win this test. But South Africa aim for historic blockathon to draw this match. They have quality batsmen to do so. So, I guess still there are chances for draw as well as for India winning.

If South Africa draw this test match, that would be new record. I do not think that is possible for them in India pitch. The new ball has been taken, that would be the new beginning for India hope to win this match to white wash South Africa 3-0 in this series.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 06, 2015, 11:45:25 AM
South Africa still behind 443 runs it will do all its best to push this match as draw but it looking much hard for it stay on the crease for long time.

but amla and bavuma is doing a great job ,,, defending more than 100 balls is not that easy

Even India got 2 wickets of South African openers, the pitch seems very flat and Amla and AB de villers are showing good resistance against Indian bowling attack.
They just need to survive another three sessions to draw this test. It seems possible for them.

No. India just wait for the new ball. Tomorrow the fifth day the story will be completely different from today. India got balanced pace and spin attack to pick the remaining 8 wickets from tomorrow's 90 overs. Very easy task for Indian bowlers.
