781  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Charlie Shrem is scammer, watch out on: March 13, 2016, 07:29:09 AM
BUMP

Charlie out of prison??

I doubt it,
because if he was out, he would have already said hello here and return me my coins Smiley

I came across this thread somehow and damn....it sure made a rainy day feel like summer. So Charlie's still in the pen escrowing his rectum? Good for him, and bracek, you should've sold me those coins Grin
It looks like you left Charlie a negative rating claiming that he stole 50BTC from you while escrowing a deal, however this is the first time I have seen this kind of claim.

Do you have any kind of documentation to backup this claim? Why did you wait until Charlie has been in jail for ~a year to call him out on this?

The people involved in this can verify my story, specifically otoh and you can ask bracek who got scammed by him he can verify that Charlie stole my deal between him and I, if he had sold me his coins he wouldn't had to deal with Charlie and lost a ton of money.

I've also sent out PMs to 10-20 different escrow members to help me flag him and I remember PMing Dannyhamilton, psychoticboy, and others. I decided not to push the issue because I had lots of coins to sell and didn't want to get a neg from Charlie because he was so godly back then.

djjacket can confirm this as well, maybe blazed too but it's been such a long time ago and I dont have any PMs to prove it (deleted them)

**** to clarify he stole my potential profits from deals that I had made and using him for escrow. The exact amount I can't remember but it was north of 10k USD
I dont go there anymore, but Charlie was on Teamspeak/Whaleclub quite a few times just before he was locked up. Maybe he is active again, on there.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are BanxShares as good as GAW Paycoin? on: March 12, 2016, 07:35:47 AM

So please make sure you run to your buddies and make sure they publish that we have moved to Bitshares. I am sure there must be nothing else you have an issue with.

Mark

Pathetic. Its like you are awarding yourself some credit for making Banx tradable after holding your shareholders hostage for god knows how long.
BTW, how did trying to control an ICO for over a year work out for you/Banx? What were the benefits that you were trying to achieve, and would you recommend that a business claiming to be genuine and viable, do what you did? Wondering (again) why its to your advantage to post here?? Dont tell me, you have something to 'promote' and theres no such thing as bad publicity, eh?

Hey, feel free to publish that evidence you have continuously failed to supply, that Banx is actually a business worth promoting

9 months left for HMRC. Will Banx still be around?

What is the point of this thread
Theres an evil gang of thing peddlers, out there. Please report any suspicious toothbrush activity. Apparently, Batman was called.
784  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ebay/Paypal's ridiculous fees on: March 10, 2016, 10:09:35 AM
If only we had some kind of... Oh, i don't know a "bit-coin" of some sort.
Surely, that would never catch on.
785  Economy / Collectibles / Re: . on: March 10, 2016, 08:39:25 AM
What was 'very rare' about the 25BTC coin?
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XCH] ★ ClearingHouse - Freedom by Blockchain ★ on: March 05, 2016, 01:44:27 PM
Isnt this a candidate for 'takeover'? The dev's actions, or lack there-of, are the actions of someone who has given up on his original goals and aspirations for this project. The fair thing to do is to hand as much of whats left of this project, over to someone else to have a go at 'developing' something with it.
The people just hoping BTCDrak will give any more meaningful time to this, and pulling something out the bag, are simply holding bags of valueless hope IMO.

Time to roll out the scammer bingo card:

"FUDDERS. They are to blame"
"If I wanted to scam why am I still here?"
"People said bad words about me"
"We wuz haxxord!"
"Whoops. Soz!"
"Dev went rogue"
"I have no fucking idea!"
"If you send me money now, I'll give you some of your coins back"
"Bad guys threatened my family"
"Who are you again? What year is this? What is this thing you call 'beetcorn'?"
"I can't remember the password to the wallet"
"I tried but it didn't work out. Soz."
"You try making a business work!"
"Hey, plenty of businesses fail."
"You shouldn't have invested more than you were prepared to lose"

etc. etc.

Any more?
"my employees mutinied against me"
"Jon gave me a Bitcoind virus"
"It was a Russian plot"
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BARR] The Only Cryptocurrency Earned by Burning Multiple Altcoins on: February 28, 2016, 08:40:26 PM
dependency may not be a big issue. Maybe Jl777 will be giving an example soon!

Er, how can dependency not be an issue when it's all dependent on what jl777 wants to do? As BARR notes, there's nothing to stop it happening all over again. It's a shame that realisation came so late.

Quote
How do you see the better approach, for BARR?

I don't agree with BARR's impoverished and unidimensional view of altcoins. BARR is exploiting disgruntled people who consider themselves to be “bagholders”, a sadly self-serving label that absolves them of all the responsibility that accrues to an investor in an endeavour. All they can see is short-term petty gain, not long-term deep influence and are condemned to be ever on the short end of the deal. I would think “good riddance” except for the deleterious effects on the coin supply wrought by artificially restricting availability, thus deepening the stagnation that the approach is supposed to relieve and deepening the divisions between the different interests that comprise an altcoin “community”.

The altcoin scene is corrosive and poisonous enough without further divisiveness being introduced and given a fake moralistic spin.

Cheers

Graham

No. You misinterpreted. Its irrelevant what jl777 wants to do. I was using his intentions as an example of whats possible regarding dependency. But as BARR_Official has posted, dependency has been accounted for.

Er, negative much. I agree with some of it, but cant for the life of me see where BARR fits into the above narrative. Kinda wrong thread.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BARR] The Only Cryptocurrency Earned by Burning Multiple Altcoins on: February 28, 2016, 05:34:13 PM
what will be CHC/BARR exchange rate ?

Hopefully it will be pretty good.  We'll try to set the rate on or before the 7th.

Hard to see how you can maintain that stance, given the developments in Nxt assets. The Nxt dependency was always my biggest objection in principle to your approach.

What vote?

Cheers

Graham

I take your point re NXT assets, but dependency may not be a big issue. Maybe Jl777 will be giving an example soon!

Please read first before being stupid.
Actually, stop being stupid all in all (y)
There needs to be an app for that. Would certainly address a need, around here.  Roll Eyes

I can't believe that people have sent these guys over 600Btc, I literately can't believe it. I could be mistaken but I just see all these other people out there, actual developers, who could do everything better, so why should these guys win? :/
What does this mean?

The latest post by James in this thread is dated 1.5 months ago. That is certainly not what investors expected a year ago. At least the price is stable for a long time now.
EDIT: Not complaining (only added some), just missing those days he would cheer us up occasionally.
I suspect you will be hearing from James very soon, with some major changes coming........ https://nxtforum.org/core-development-discussion/nxt-2-0-design/msg210298/#msg210298

Why don't you just contact Mark directly, like a grown up would.

I can just imagine how that would go:

ecotone: Hi Mark, please could you show me a wallet which contains either your bitcoin or Banx Capital's bitcoin?

Lyford: You're a troll! We've been plagued by trolls asking questions about out business. If you want to get involved, buy Banx. If you want to ask questions then you are a troll. I don't have time for this I am building a business. If you want to buy then hit me up. Otherwise you are a troll.

ecotone: Perhaps we got off on the wrong foot. Listen, I just want to do my due diligence before I invest. I would do the same if I was looking to buy IBM or Facebook or BT shares. I need to know there is a profit-making business with some money in reserve before I risk my hard-earned on an investment in your company.

Lyford: You know, this is starting to sound like a paid-for campaign against myself and Banx. Who paid you to troll? Who are you? Where do you live? We are a real business in real offices. Come to the office and see us instead of asking ridiculous questions about earnings and cash reserves, that's a trollish thing to do.

ecotone: Mark I would be a fool to blindly buy Banx shares without finding out if there is any chance of losing my money. Please can I see some evidence that your company is earning profits and not simply paying the existing shareholders with more shares.

Lyford: I've had enough of your trolling. Karma is a bitch. Hit me up if you're serious. I'm working 20 hour days to get this company moving (apart from when I disappear for two months). We've got real offices. I used to have 32000 porn sites. Hit me up on Skype.

ecotone: Are you still involved with Remittio? Your picture has disappeared from the website.

Lyford: Troll! Karma! Hit me up!

spot on. that's exactly what would happen.
Yep. Spot on, and word perfect.
And Mark still wonders why the above strategy makes his ideas of business, a failure.  Cry
799  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2016, 08:24:55 AM
investing it into scams... realy stupid Smiley

I see a lot of people saying their biggest mistake was investing into scams... What are these scams? Are you talking about the small p2p loans being done on LoanBase and BTCJam? or something else?
[/b]

Are the lending sites the scams you guys are talking about? Are those p2p lending sites the HYIPs we are told to stay away from?
