781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH surpass BTC? on: August 02, 2017, 04:28:52 PM
Is it possible that BCH can surpass BTC value? Now BCH $489 (75% more than yesterday)
Yes, it is possible  since crypto depends on the market's demand andcomparing theirprice, especially BCH that is increasing quickly, I think it is possible. But maybe, the real question is  How long will it surpass BTC if that would happen? Since BTC has a big community. If they'll all transfer to BCH, will they come back to BTC?  Just a matter of market's demand when it comes to ranks amongst cryptos.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: August 02, 2017, 08:34:59 AM
Some people prefer bitcoin over fiat because on some places bitcoin is tax free. I guess it's not bad to use bitcoin for something as long as you're not breaking any law/rules from your place. There's much more misuses of btc but if we continue this discussion it's getting kinda off topic when the title is about bitcoin and fiat.
I agree. People who chose Bitcoin over fiat finds that Bitcoin has the advantages that they want. Bitcoin is decentralized so it means that they'll be the one to manage their wealth, and also its anonymity. Sometimes it is considered as faster in Fiat in terms of transactions with less charges. People are free tobuse their BTC as thry like since it is decentralized. And as long as the way they use it doesnt abide the rules of BTC , it is okay.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: August 02, 2017, 07:07:30 AM
i do this question because i´ve read in this website issues with bitcoin, slow mining process, high fees, etc. and i´ve read too good reviews of some altcoins, ethereum (smart contracts), ripple (for transfers between banks), dash and nem. these altcoins called 2.0. could bitcoin become just in future virtual gold reserved to companies and rich people?
Ofcourse, it is inevitable. There is a possibility that Bitcoin will be replaced by other cryptocurrency because they all depend on the market's demand. If more people will choose other Crypto other than Btc it will because it is more benefitiary and has bigger value than BTC's. The only reason why Bitcoin remained as the no. 1 crypto is because it has a big community that makes it more in demand.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you expecting after 1st-Aug? on: August 02, 2017, 03:57:06 AM
The most expected, and maybe most important day for BTC  is today. What are you expecting is going to happen post 1st Aug?
Maybe, for the meantime, BTC will experience a demand not as high as it was before since more people are trading their Alts for BCC right after the fork. I am still expecting that BTC will eventually climb uts way up once again. BTC's demand willbsurely increase maybe months after the dumps that we are experiencing.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular Altcoin? on: July 27, 2017, 01:45:56 PM
I remember the most popular being Litecoin but what about now?
I think it is the ETH, followed by ZCash and Dash. The popularity depends on the market's cap. ETH is believed and compared to be the competition of Bitcoin because of its worth. ZCash and Dash, names that are both making noise in the alt coin world due to its potential. These names are  mostly to be mentioned in alt coin world.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should i still gonna need to sell my bitcoins in august 1? on: July 27, 2017, 12:25:06 PM
I thought that it is already a success in bitcoin segwit and no split was gonna happened?
Do i still need to sell all my bitcoins before august 1?
It's up to you. No one knows what will really happen in August 1 , it it'll lead to pump or not. I'll suggest you to wait and observe what will happen after the segwit in order for you to assure and avoid regrets. Lots of people are saying not to do transactions in Aug 1. There are lots of people who are still eyeing for those who will do panic selling, and I'm sure there's a reason behind that.
787  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: July 27, 2017, 09:43:30 AM
Good news dude !
Bitcoin price is recovering little by little .
From 950 $ some hours ago to 1066$ now !
Buy now till it's under 1100$.
 https://blockchain.info/markets
Now that's great news. I feel sorry for those who did panic selling just because of the dipping. Dumps are expected and so do pumps. I'm sure that lots of people took advantage of those who sold their bitcoins early. So excited on what will the Segwit could bring in August 1.
788  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: July 27, 2017, 02:55:36 AM
I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.
You need to first have a broad but systematic researcg about every angle of Crypto currency in order to convince them. You need to identify the strengths and weaknesses of having Bitcoin as a currency. And cite some example where bitcoin shows advantages, more like situations and facts. Research how do the countries that legalized it, feels and experiencing after the legalization.
789  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: July 26, 2017, 04:46:44 AM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
I think the price or value of Bitcoin depends on the market's demand. So if the demand is low, it'll affect bitcoin community. The price might dip into its lowest just because the demand is also low. But if you are referring to a total loss on its value, I really can't tell, basing on its benefits to investors and miners. There are also more people that are being into crypto because it is mote accessible nowadays.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 26, 2017, 04:08:09 AM
So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Normally I tend to make these kind of decisions for myself but since I don't fully understand what will happen August 1st I figured this would be the best place to ask.
It's a bit risky especialky if you are aiming for investing. Indees, no one knows what will really happen in August 1, some will say that there'll be a dipping after the segwit, and others say that it'll be a pump. The best way is to just wait if you want to assure that it'll be in favor for investors. You may gamble a little by buying a small amount compared to what you usually do just to assure that you'll gain after Aug. 1.
791  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Investments in the media on: July 25, 2017, 04:07:28 PM
Do you think it's realistic to find investors-partners for the development of such a project? Alone, it is difficult to pull such a project financially, and for the accelerated implementation of all our plans I made decisions in search of investors.
I would like to hear your opinion: Is it worth it to invest in the media about crypto-currencies and the forum?

Forum.bit.news
I think yes, crypto is a general term, so is the media. Crypto is an emerging currency that is legal on some countries such as in North Korea. While Media is a platform where users are using to communicate and send message to the audience. Both relates on each other. It is okay to invest in media since it is a wide and broad platform that means there are lots of oppurtunities to earn from it, you just need to first, study on how to earn from it through investing.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: July 25, 2017, 02:53:42 PM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
Maybe the real question is that 'why?'. Why do children needs to know about BTC at a young age? Yes, indeed, we are on the digital age but I think they don't need to know about it of they are young. If it's because of the benefits and advantages, maybe you should first start introducing what Bitcoin is, in that way they will have an idea about it, and if it will caught their attention and interest, it will be better. Then the advantages and the likes.
793  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: July 25, 2017, 12:14:14 AM
According to my friend preev.com, as of press time, the value of Bitcoin is standing at $2,351. Though I would say that this still considered as a feat, some are worried because it almost reached $2,800 again after the correction that happened days ago.

I have read that the decline can partly be contributed to newcomers especially neophyte traders who still have to be well-versed on the market...and can easily be ignited to do panic selling once they can fell that anything can be wrong.

Against this backdrop...are you holding on to your Bitcoin or transferring it into another digital currency?
I think is part of BTC's volatility. There are times where dipping occurs and there are also times of its pumps. There are people that do panic selling, there nothing wrong with that because they only want to assure the profit from their wealth. There are those who takes the advantage on those times because they know that its value will again increase, days and weeks after the dump. Still a long way for BTC. Let's just think of deflation as part of BTC's nature.
794  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is that possible to earn bitcoin with Youtube Channel? on: July 24, 2017, 11:55:49 PM
We often earn money from youtube channel by showing ads from adsense and suppose if someone want to earn bitcoin by showing ads on their youtube videos then is there any alternative ad network which provide ads for youtube channel?
As far as I know, there's none,  pertaining to directly earning btc in youtube channel. Maybe if your youtube channel is popular, and there are companies and people that'll pay you btc to advertise and promote something, in that way you can but it is indirectly. Youtube monetization is a way where youtube channels earn. You can earn btc throuh fiat and I think, big companies won't pay crypto for such service, as of now.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 24, 2017, 11:17:00 PM
This'll be great.
Card game nowadays will sound unique to other players because they are engaged into MMORPG . The game is interesting because it is like a new version of card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh and duel master , it is just that it has better graphical content. Hoping for the project's success. I'll definitely trying this one.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin - Scam or not ? on: July 24, 2017, 10:33:00 PM
How to identify whether an altcoin is scam or not?
This happened with me today. I bought ACRN coin from yobit yesterday for 0.01btc and today morning its price was 1 satoshi Undecided Doomed!!
I'll suggest you to first make a research about it before engaging yourself on buying it. Also, look and analyze if the price is close to reality. Further ask those who are old on this 'business', because they know and they are awared of the coins, changes perhaps and the modus, more like consulting. I never heard of this coin that you've said, in this intance, it is suspicious and weird at the same time.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is so volatile right now! Why should I even hold? on: July 24, 2017, 02:06:24 PM
With the price of Bitcoin being so volatile should we ever consider buying or even holding if we have bitcoins?

What are your thoughts??? What should we do??

As it stands today at this moment, the Bitcoin volatility index reads:
4.57% the latest 30-day volatility estimate
3.54% the latest 60-day volatility estimate

The bitcoin volatility index for present day can be seen at: https://btcvol.info/

My opinion of bitcoin longterm can be investigated here in this post titled "Hacks & puppets & forks - how to destroy bitcoin": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1834310.0
It will depend on one's decision. If you want to assure the profit that you'll gain from your btc, it is okay to sell it now. But if you are aiming for bigger profit and can wait for a period of time, it is also good to hold you BTC until its value increase by multiple times. Knowing that its value is increasing week(s)  after the dipping of its value comes to its place, is good, in this way, people will less worry about deflations. Due to the btc's volatility which is sometimes high and sometimes low, it is not impossible that one day , inflation will be continuous, sounds good to those who holds their wealth.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: July 24, 2017, 01:15:31 PM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?
Ways to earn BTC without investing? Joining Signature Campaigns is the best way in my opinion. You can also search for sites that needs service such as freelancing, advertising, web developing, designing and the likes that'll pay BTC in exchange for your service. Also, it will depend on your skills and knowledge regarding the service that you'll offer to earn BTC.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 20, 2017, 09:07:31 AM
Is this token for gaming? There are already many similar projects in the form of gaming projects. But to my knowledge, the gaming project is less powerful. Evident from the number of game-based coins with a very small rate
I think it is. But maybe, it will still depend on how the players will repond , if they will admire it or not. There are projects similar to this that didn't succeed, but it doesn't mean that the same thing will happen to this. Based on the reviews, the service is good that'll be in favor to the gamers, might also be a factor to get other gamer's interest.

Interesting! Seeing the images here reminds me of Yu Gi Oh : Duel Monsters, a Japanese anime series adapted from Yu Gi Oh manga series. They play Duel Monsters card game there, the battles are cool. I think the concept is a bit the same here. I'll be trying the game from playstore. Good luck on your upcoming token sale.

PS. Having an escrow is really helpful
Indeed. The idea is already there, and this kind of game will surely be a blast! Stratigical game with good graphics will capture the hearts of the gamers out there.
