81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: November 17, 2017, 07:33:09 PM
OmiseGo had a really good start, but I think that's mainly down to timing. Not only was it right in the ICO hype a few months ago, it was one of the ICO's that had the "Vitalik stamp" and therefore couldn't fail. However due to so much hype the price went hyperbolic and now some investors are realising it might be overbought. The Vitalik stamp doesn't work anymore, just look at Kyber. I would pick up some OmiseGo, but I'm not feeling these prices.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio? on: November 17, 2017, 07:30:40 PM
I just keep it simple with Blockfolio on my phone. I've also used CryptoCompare online which is cool, but they don't have an app which is a real shame as it is better software. The best thing about Blockfolio is you can set alarms for highs/lows which is handy for good and bad emergencies!
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in altcoin still worth? on: November 17, 2017, 07:29:14 PM
It's always worth investing in altcoins but you have to do it at the right time. There's no point buying alts when they are at all time highs like 2 months ago! Be patient, wait, and when everyone is bored of a coin pick up a few on the cheap! Then HODL until there's some good news and the price surges. Just make sure they are not real crap coins, or you might not ever hear any good news  Cheesy
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins to buy today and why on: November 17, 2017, 07:27:17 PM
Today I would probably pick up Stratis. It's breaking from a recent all time low and has huge potential over the next 12 months. I actually have a developer friend who told me he preferred learning blockchain/dapps etc on Stratis over Ethereum due to the documentation they have produced. Very bullish as that's who they have been targeting and they have done a good job. Around $3 now, was $7+ a few months ago. It's also very low when traded against BTC!
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying altcoins on: November 17, 2017, 07:24:33 PM
Yes! Well, I was. During the recent dips I converted some BTC to IOTA and Stratis. BTC has gone up even more which sucks but I know at some point next year when they spike I will have made the right decision. I haven't really bought any alts with fiat though, just my BTC. Now time to play the waiting game!
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long since you entered the crypto market on: November 17, 2017, 07:19:46 PM
I joined in April 2013 and bought 1/2 a Bitcoin. I held for a few months and the price didn't do anything at all so I sold it. A few weeks later the price hit $1000. From then onwards I knew to never make the same mistake again. I also realised how powerful this technology is and the good it can do for society and economies around the world!
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spectrecoin Reviews? on: November 17, 2017, 07:15:16 PM
I hold some XSPEC, I bought it a few months ago. It's a good coin and is moving forward at a steady pace, but the pace is slow. Don't let this put you off though, I'd rather a slow and steady development than devs that stick around for 2 weeks and disappear. I think they have recently released a new roadmap, so worth following to see if they are sticking to it.

If they can do as well as Cloakcoin the past few months, I'll be very happy from an investment point of view.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Raiden Network is very bullish at the end of November. on: November 17, 2017, 07:12:25 PM
All of Raiden's credibility went down the pan when they did an ICO. I have no problem with ICO's, but come on, not for a scaling technology that was talked about like it was free for months and months. You wouldn't see BTC doing that with the lightening network would you?!
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bittrex going to give us our Bitcoin Gold? on: November 17, 2017, 07:11:08 PM
Guys, you do know that BTG is a real shitcoin? As soon as Ledger Wallet let me have mine I'm gonna dump them straight to HitBTC. I think HitBTC are one of the few that let you deposit and trade BTG, most just let you trade.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: November 17, 2017, 07:09:32 PM
I never really supported Ethereum, but what I do support is insane profits. You can't ignore that Ethereum has taken a good part of the market share and made a lot of investors rich. So even though I still don't really support them (I prefer BTC), I don't blame the investors who do  Cool
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: November 17, 2017, 07:08:03 PM
Definitely check out Semux. I know they did their first airdrop to forum members who participated in the signature campaign, but they have a second airdrop coming soon based on your total BTC holdings. Good community too, worth a look.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum haven't really moved.. on: November 17, 2017, 07:06:42 PM
Yes, Ethereum has definitely been lingering lately and can't seem to move from the $300 mark. However I would consider this a good thing for those invested, it's remained calm and stable while alts and BTC have been all over the place. I think it will surge again, be ready for it.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: November 08, 2017, 11:59:07 PM
so many FUD here , if you think this project not fair ,you can pass it ,why balabala say some words which you not like.

People are doing this because they don't get SEM, so we don't have to pay attention to him.

The thing is that we like the project, but we don't like you, fucking scammer.
Ok, let's check balances of Frieda and kelly19:

This will be easy to do because most of your multi accounts go right one by one.
Hacked Bitcointalk accounts, fake Russian twitters if you follow those links.

So where Frieda, who really like and believe in this project. Frieda, who suggests us to stay away if we don't like unfair distribution.
Where Frieda transferred her coins?

https://semux.info/explorer/account/0x2a631015aaa6103a2ae3d708fbec083f48ee3935

Frieda transferred coins to the same address as tens and hundreds of other fake airdrop memebers.
Welcome abcde and lkingss - both have 47,000 SEM for each, almost 100K SEM in total.
Both received them from hundreds of fake airdrop account.

I won't be surprised if this is also crimealone, since they appeared together with him and all of them are trying to support scammers and sabotage this project.

I'm wondering if this scammer really succeed to steal 500K - 1M SEM during Alpha and Beta Sad Sounds very bad..

Excellent post.

Devs you've really got to do something about this..

Tried to claim but says my email doesn't match, and provides part of an email in brackets that is nothing like mine. Contacted the email, hope they sort it, I worked hard for this campaign.

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VSX] Darksend - POS 3.0 - Obfuscation - Masternodes - InstantTX [VSYNC] on: October 31, 2017, 05:32:13 PM
So I've read through about half the thread, checked out most links on the 1st page...I'd appreciate if someone could talk about the project in a bit more details as I'm having a hard time evaluating this coin.

I don't get what this coin wants to do. Like so many, it's always about "super privacy" and "cutting edge technology" and so on. These terms are so generic.

Some say it's the next PIVX. Why? How? Where's the roadmap? Is there a whitepaper? Use cases? Who's the team? What makes this coin different or better than the other coins?

I'm debating buying the 250'000 coins to create an MN as it annouces roughly 1000USD yearly on masternodes.io.

PS: I've never been on discord, if that's where I need to go, I'll go.

All legitimate questions and concerns. This will all be addressed Q4/Q1 as the new website and roadmap and are launched. Good things come to those who wait.

In the mean time, I've just set up a MN as there's no doubt the price will continue to rise with 1/2 of all coins already locked up in MN's. The marketcap can easily move up very quickly.

NOVAEXCHANGE is CLOSING in a few days! This coin should be listed elsewhere...

Move your coins if you're on nova. Other exchanges with VSX are coinexchange and ccex.

Can't believe VSX is under 100 sats, it's only up from here. Looking forward to 2018  Cool

$50k for a masternode of a new, untested coin? Seems a bit steep.
