It's a combination of both, bitcoin is used like a currency hence the currency in the word cryptocurrency, it's an asset since people are trading it like stocks and stocks are properties so in extension of comparison, cryptocurrency is also an asset.

Those brand logos that OP presented isn't a familiar or famous brands but I can see why there's some resemblance or reminder of the logo of bitcoin. But that's all coincidence or Satoshi or the person who decided on the bitcoin logo might've even been inspired by those very logos.

This is bad but gambling is one of those businesses that really don't need to advertise their service or product because they're still going to get more customers no matter what and what they lost in advertising isn't going to be that problematic.
