Looking good! Can the next one be "Cat De Nip"??  Cheesy
You're right, how could I forget about cats! Hmm...let's see what I can come up with... Smiley
That would definitely be a cool one to see. As long as it has catnip.  Cheesy

The pricing is interesting though. According to this:
Quote
Price: $100 + shipping and handling ($7 to USA or $20 to other countries)
Unless the Bitcoin mint disappears, the effective cost of the piece is $7 (since it says that mint would buy it back for $100)?

How about this?

Correct. My intention is for each piece to be enjoyed and then, instead of being "consumed" or discarded, they are then shared or traded with someone new or sold back to the Mint. By providing a buyback provision this also guarantees a minimum value and provides me an opportunity to buy some of these back in the future.

Creating a piece of art is like having children. You have to let them go out on their own but you hope they come back and visit once in a while. Smiley

85  Economy / Collectibles / [ANN] "Soupe Du Jour" Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 31, 2017, 06:08:22 AM
The Soupe Du Jour series is a tribute to the iconic pop artist Andy Warhol and his famous 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans.

This series will chronicle the price of Campbell’s soup – in “bits” – over 1,024 days.

There will be 32 pen & ink drawings of each variety of Campbell’s soup creating the opportunity for 32 “complete” collections. The first, “Tomato”, is dated “Jan. 30, 2017” and a new drawing, each an original, will be created every day for 1,024 days at which time the series will be completed.

Availability: First two are sold. Next up is "Feb. 1, 2107".

Each piece is 8” x 10” on acid free paper with archival ink. Suitable for framing or display in a presentation book.

Each Art Wallet contains an unfunded bitcoin address and corresponding private key. Pre-orders for future pieces are accepted.

Price: $100 + shipping and handling ($7 to USA or $20 to other countries)

Repurchase Policy: The Bitcoin Mint (BitcoinMint.com) will buy back this original artwork at any time for $100 U.S. Dollars (or $100 worth of bitcoin at the time of tender). The piece must be in good condition with the holographic seal undisturbed.

Payment Options: Cash by mail or bitcoin.

These can be purchased at http://BitcoinMint.com.

How these pieces are created:

1. An unfinished master is created by hand-drawing the piece in black pencil/ink.

2. This is then reproduced at a professional printer.

3. These drawings are then hand-finished with additional black work or mixed media.

4. The date, bitcoin exchange value, hologram & bitcoin keys are added below the drawing.

6. Once everything is complete, I add my final signature to the drawing.

Trader Steve can we buy your art from all parts of Europe or we cant because I am from there.I will get my money after 2 weeks to my bitcoin wallet and then will be more arts for sell?

Yes, I can ship worldwide and plan on continuing this series (and others) going forward. If you have a special date that you would like to reserve, just let me know. I will never do more than 10 pieces per date, per series and, right now, I'm averaging about 3 per day. Once a date passes, I will do no more for that date.
87  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 29, 2017, 09:38:59 PM
It looks really nice but for what we can use that paper picture money,is it like a picture or we can use it to pay something.Maybe I shoud buy it and maybe I can sell later to somebody for more money.

Yes, that is one of the ideas...art that you can trade. Art that also tells a story about bitcoin. You can always trade it back to the Bitcoin Mint but it will be more interesting to see what other things people trade these for - and document on the back of each drawing. It is a way to enjoy the art and then pass it on to others while reflecting on the meaning of money, art and bitcoin.

These are pretty neat but I'll hold out for a doodle that holds a bit more interest for me.

Assuming they aren't all going to be USD notes Tongue

Stay tuned... Smiley

Who is this man drawn on the note Huh

Whoever you want him to be... Wink

Attempt #2 from me: Is it this small detail? It doesn't seem to be in either the 26th or 27th, but on the 28th.

And we have a winner! Congrats! Please PM me your shipping info and I'll send out the #58 medallion straightaway! Grin
91  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 28, 2017, 11:55:19 PM
All three look the same to me. What gives.

The three from the 28th have what the 26th & 27th don't have...  Lips sealed
92  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 28, 2017, 11:53:32 PM
Is it that one piece has 0.1088, whereas the other two only have 0.108?

Good guess, but not the one I'm looking for. Here is another clue: The 26th & 27th pieces are missing something that the 28th has...
93  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 28, 2017, 11:49:44 PM
Error guess #2.

The hologram is now serialized.

Good guess but, still not the one I'm looking for... Huh
94  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 28, 2017, 11:47:16 PM
Error is the serial number has 5 digits to the right of the decimal for the 26th.
The ones from the 28th have only 4.......

Good guess, but not the one I'm looking for...keep trying!  Smiley
95  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 28, 2017, 11:23:47 PM
I've just posted 3 pieces for today's date (Jan. 28, 2017).

These have some additional colorization and they do not have the "error" that was in both the 26th & 27th pieces. Can you see the difference? First one to point out the error gets a FREE, Limited Edition Medallion (#58). Each piece is slightly different but there is only one error I am looking for. Post your guess below.

It would be nice to have it laminated and hanged somewhere, but storing these types of collectibles is always problematic. Good luck with your sales!

Thanks! A coffee table binder would be a good place to display a collection that showed the price change ("transition of power") over time.

97  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 27, 2017, 07:38:48 AM
Any idea how many will be made in total?

Each one is unique in multiple ways - they are each one-of-a-kind with a common theme. No more than 5 to 10 per day and will likely change over time to keep them interesting.

98  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] New Bitcoin Art Wallets on: January 27, 2017, 07:00:34 AM
I think having the buy back option is really cool. But doesn't that mean it could never appreciate/depreciate over under $100 if you will always have these for sale?

Edit: how would these art works be shipped? Would you ever consider doing it on a hemp paper? What if I laminated it, would you still buy it back?

There are a limited number created for each calendar day and each one is unique in multiple ways. The buy-back just creates a "floor" price so it can never drop below that. It also creates some interesting possibilities as a tradeable asset.

They are shipped securely in a photo mailer and will be replaced if damaged. Yes, we will buy it back if it is laminated. :-)

EDIT: I just saw the question about hemp paper. I think that's a great idea. I will put that on the list for future pieces.

How these pieces are created:

1. An unfinished master is created by hand-drawing the $100 Bill in black pencil/ink (with parts left unfinished).

3. These drawings are then hand-finished with additional black work, colored pens and pencils.

4. Signatures are added to the face of the bill.

5. The date, bitcoin exchange value, hologram & bitcoin keys are added below the drawing.

6. Once everything is complete, I add my final signature to the right of the bill.
