81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Taonacoin [TNA] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain | Raven Fork on: June 16, 2019, 12:46:07 PM
Let's start with the basics:

What is this coin for? no way.
What real expansion projects do you have in the future? none.

They have not bothered to make a good presentation in the ANN here, it's just a FORK.

If a currency has no use, and no matter how much use you want to give it if it is not supported by large exchanges and serious projects that use it, your future is null. It is like the rest of the 99% of the coins, they are only speculative. You earn 1% without doing anything of mining, only with what others mine.

The exchanges that have added it, are not official and are purely scam like EMANET that puts false purchase orders to simulate volume.

Having other profitable currencies and with the price of the BTC going up, I am not going to spend mining time on something that I do not know what price it will have nor when I will be able to sell it. You can spend this sweet time of BTC and keep a lot of coins that I can not sell and I do not know when I can sell.

The announcement is not serious, the page is not serious, there is no project for future use, it is just a coin that can be mined and it is already, but right now it is a totally useless coin. As I said right now, a miner can not risk mining what he can not sell or know price, just now that the BTC is climbing. Just now that one can recover previous months, it would be crazy to mine a currency of this type with an uncertain future.

Hey Patrik,

I think I already asked this sometime before, but couldnt show a picture and details because this happens very rare.

- One or more cards are crashed. The mining window is still open, but isnt mining anymore.
- In AM it still shows "mining", but without any informations. AM will not restart that miner.
- The "GPU" tab is empty, also the "Pools" tab.

Is it possible to setup a rule to catch this? Or maybe AM can handle this automatically? I already tried some rules, but none works. Neither a single rule, or combined rules. For example:

- The trigger "Detect Miner State -> Mining" doesnt work.
- "Detect Device Count -> 0" doesnt work.
- "Power Usage -> 0" doesnt work.

I think because there is no miner API established because of the crash, even if the mining window is still open?

Hey Patrik,

just got that situation again with the new T-Rex version in one of my single miners. Will send you the API-report by PM.

I think I know why this can happen:

- The profit switcher switched from NBminer to T-Rex, but NBminer wasn't closed for real. It is already running in the background (but depending to the pool with 0 hashrate).
- So there are 2 miners now and AM can't show the numbers for the T-Rex.

Is it somehow possible to double check (and kill) old unneeded tasks? Tried it with a batch command when NBminer stops, but this doesn't work all the time (taskkill /F /IM nbminer.exe).

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the details. I can see from the API Report the T-Rex doesn't return anything and the reason is likely that NBminer uses the API port already, preventing T-Rex from using this port.

Would it be possible for you to also send me the Remote Agent log file for the time where NBMiner was supposed to be closed? You should be able to see log messages like "Closing process" and maybe even "Killing process".

What Awesome Miner do when closing mining software is to first send a friendly request to close down. Awesome Miner will then wait for the process to terminate (a number of seconds, configurable in the Options dialog, Mining Settings section), and if the process is still running, Awesome Miner tells Windows to kill the process.

Hey Patrik,

sent you the log file by PM and some more thoughts about that problem.

This problem we are suffering a lot of. CAsi always have to restart to work well.

I have a rule for dropped cards if they have 5 cards or less, reboot, when all my rigs are 6

But it would be a good thing to incorporate something that can be launched after each change to limit memory and processes caused by the miner.

I have everything updated to the latest version of Windows both in rig and in the AM computer. The latest security update of cuda 10.1, latest driver. I even launch a VHL at the end of each mining to clean memory. But even so, the teams suffer frequent restarts, it is such, I have had to reduce the number of protocols and currencies, raise the% change so that there are fewer changes per day.
I had some discussions with joseph32 on this topic and one change in the recent Awesome Miner release was to disable the NbMiner watchdog.
The difficulty here is that there often are so many mining software involved and often changes between them so it's not always possible to tell if it's only one our of all mining software that are the cause for the instability.

It is not a problem of NBMINER, it happens with many more miners, ttminer, trex, basically with all, some more, others less. The only weird thing I'm using are the Nvidia Creator Drivers. Because now there are two versions, the gaming version and the creator version that is for heavier processes such as photoshop, cad etc ...

But I think it has more to do with the version 1809 of windows, since since you update all the computers to this latest version, the thing is even more unstable. I can have 20 restarts per hour with 6 rigs, it's hell. I have to work with very few protocols to minimize failures. My simple conclusions

Aftherburner does not affect, I tried it without it and the same thing happened

4 or 8 gigas of ram, it does not matter, the same happens

It all started with version 1809 and its latest update. All my equipment is in that version including the one that has AM installed

The intelibreeze service is called AM, it gets to consume 100% of CPU when it did not before and when it stops mining it sometimes stays at 50% of CPU with that service and when trying to mine another currency, the miner remains frozen and it reboots. If it is true that happens more with NBMiner because now we are mining much Cuckroo31. But also with other protocols x16s x16r etc ... Sometimes it is mining well and suddenly the miner closes and can not do it right until he restarts the machine.

Something suggests that some changes of the 1809 version is affecting intelibreeze. I have more than 150 failures a day, many more, and each failure is at least 5 minutes without mining, the time of lost mining is incredible

Is there a way to apply the GPU overclocking settings by algo and by card ? It sucks to have to change the settings for each card when i switch algos

buying the license for 20 machines you have OC that you can define for each al-go. Smaller licenses do not benefit from AL-GO with OC
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: June 14, 2019, 07:01:46 PM
Here is a preview of what's in the pipeline. Next week you will be able to define a global fan curve where Awesome Miner will monitor the temperature of each individual GPU and adjust the fan speed individually to match the curve. There will be 5 points that you can move in any direction.

This will work for both AMD and nVidia. If enabled, it will control the fan as long as Remote Agent (or Awesome Miner if you do local mining) is running.

When you enable this feature it will completely disable all other fan operations you do via Awesome Miner.

I will try it, if with Nvidia has each fan independent and does his job well, I can erase aftherburner. The fewer things in the Rig the better.

I will comment on the results.

regards

I would like to make a suggestion for AM. The software should make it easy for us to maximize revenue. The problem that I have now in Spain, in summer, is that of day we reach 40 - 42 degrees and at night between 18-24 degrees Celsius. With which a single OC is not the most appropriate. I have a single OC in each profile and in each al-go.

Right now I have a low OC so that by day it does not exceed 75 degrees, but at night the rigs go down to 50 degrees, since the ambient temperature is not the same. As happens in Spain will happen in other countries, against more tropical but it happens. In the countries of Eastern Europe the change is less noticeable.

Then my suggestion would be that in each profit profile and in each protocol, and optionally to be able to choose 2 OC with two hours of activation, for example

X16R day, 70 tdp 80 core -300 mem, activation time 10:00
X16R night, 85 TDP 100 core -300 mem, activation time 23:00

With which at night I have less environmental temperature to be able to extract more power, and to be able to lower day power. Now I only have 1 OC for the night and the day.

In winter it is less noticeable but also useful, it is not the same 13 degrees of day and -5 at night. I take the air from outside to cool and then I take it out again.

I wanted to make a special request that person who knows how to do the following. We have AM option before starting a new mining after a change to execute some file type .bat or Visual basic. What I'm looking for is a file to be thrown at the end of mining a coin that will clean my memory and clean up temporary.

I have detected that many times after a change of currency in auto profit, if I go with 4 gb of ram, the next coin does not enter with all the hash of should. This is noted in some protocols more than others.

if someone has a file of this type, which hangs here, I would be very grateful and I need to do a memory and temporary cleaning between currency changes. What's more, I think it should be something already incorporated to AM to make it even more stable. But if someone already has the file done, I would appreciate it if you shared it.

Does anyone know which pool in Awesome Miner is most profitable for Nvidia gpus lately?
Thanks

try this pool  look for the zcoin pool or XZC

https://xzc.2miners.com/en

zerocoin or zcoin not zcash right now from what Ive found XZC is your best bet with Nvidia cards.

2miners is a large mining group. But for some time, they are having problems when it comes to reading the hash. You send them 108 MHS and hopefully you read that you have 98 MHS, so right now I do not use it much. But if it's a big pool, although to win with RIG, it does not matter if it's AMD or Nvidia, you'll have to always use the pool that hash the most in the currency you want to mine, it's that easy.

The project does not seem bad, it gives me good feelings. But it has hardly any publicity or exposure. The commission to attract people I think that scares more investors, where they are paid by referrals seems a multilevel.

Save those commissions and invest in a better Exchange. Nothing will get you further than being in a more decent exchange. The current one has nothing of volume and only 4 currencies how many buyers can there be?

I do not say binance, but if any other intermediate, graviex, tradeogre, finexbox, safe.trade, the latter will be very interested in listing your currency and do not usually charge to do so, contact them.

As an investor you will get more, you will be seen with better eyes, and for the miners too, you will have an exchange with volume and a certain prestige, the current one as I say, volume 0, nobody buys, nobody sells. The few orders executed are all very close in time as if they had been programmed.

I am very interested in the project, but try to reach a better exchange and leave listed in masternodes sites. That will be what attracts investors and miners. A miner can not mine a coin that only 401 satochis pay for it, and they do not sell it for a debt of 2600, it's too much forks. Without investors in masternode, there is no demand, if there is no demand, the price falls and when the price falls, the currency disappears in a short time.

Better exchange, and page to leave on masternodes.online or similar.

and again, and all day like that. That miner has stayed offline, has reboot and it works. But I already said that I reboot too many times a day, every rig more than 20 or 30 times a day, practically every change. Normally they are the Rig3 and 5 that are 1080TI, but also it happens with less frequency in other rigs of RTX, 1070 etc ...

Or the native OC does not go well with administration, the aftherburner influences, I do not know if the others that happen to him have the same aftherburner, or there some different fault, but that makes this has become unstable.

And having seen that the same thing happens to other people, I insist on the problem.
In addition to my previous response about troubleshooting - I also see that you list quite a number of potential problematic areas.

After you made the troubleshooting I suggested earlier - please also consider to try to eliminate all these factors that could have an impact on the overall system stability. What happens if you modify you overclocking to only be a single percent of overclocking (so the overclocking code is used, but doesn't do much)? What happens if you remove all clocking for one of the miners? What happens if you close down Afterburner?

The OC of winter I have reduced it by 20% for summer, and I have even tried very low OC to see if it happened and if it happens, that was the first thing I did.

What I have not tried has been to remove the Aftherburner until there is a global FAN solution. I can not be defining a curve in each profile when I have 100 or more, and the heat is heat whatever the protocol.

I will try to remove the Aftherburner from 1 machine, the most prone and force several changes. At first you said that it would not affect but it could be.

I ask for a global Fan curve for each rig, regardless of the protocol. That would help me remove Aftherburner.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: June 06, 2019, 12:01:20 PM
Code:
Version: 6.5.2
API command: /api/v1/status

I've only had a quick look so far, but the interesting part is the first few lines of the API report. It indicates the API command Awesome Miner sends to the mining software and the line after is the response.

In this case Awesome Miner sends a request to:
http://IpAddressOfTheMiner:4028/api/v1/status

For this mining software the API is based on HTTP. There are other software where non-HTTP connections are used.

The next few lines in the report are empty - indicating that the mining software didn't respond to this request. One you get to the lines further below (starting with "<?xml version") it's just Awesome Miner that log internal information.

There are two things you can do to find out why Awesome Miner didn't get any API response from the miner:

1) As this specific mining software happen to run HTTP, you could try to open a web browser and navigate to:
http://IpAddressOfTheMiner:4028/api/v1/status
Replace with the correct IP address of the miner.

This suggestion will however not be applicable for all mining software - which is why the point below can be of interest.

2) You could add an External Miner in Awesome Miner, where you select the mining software you want to connect to and specify the "Remote Host" like:
192.168.0.123:4028
Use the IP address of the Remote Agent computer where the mining is running. The port may not be 4028, please right click on the Managed Miner and select View Details to find the mining software API port number in the command line.

If the External Miner shows up as Disconnected, it's a sign that it's not possible to get any response from the mining software.

I take note of these two urls to execute them when I have problems. But in principle it works, because when you reboot everything goes well, it is when you make some change ... It stops working well.

I have it written down and waiting for a failure to see, or I provoke the failure, I will report the ruling here. But keep in mind that it is not a fixed fault, which is sporadic. Because if it were fixed, it would not work or reboot.

Another sample of bugs from the native OC.

If we see the capture, RIG3 would be 6x1080ti, gives the hash of 6, gives the consumption of 6 cards, but then the Profit is 1 card, also only gives the temperature of 1 card.

I have created a rule that counts the cards in case of missing only 1 reboot. But the curious thing that marks me the hash and consumption of 6, temperature and profit of only 1. Something is not right.

He has been like this all night and has not done auto switch because he marked a hash he was not getting. But of course the Switch does it for the hash profile of the currency not for the hash obtained, otherwise X16r would skip all the time.

AM could bring a predefined rule to detect dropped devices.

It is not shown that AM does not get the data right, it can not be working only 1 card and the hash of 6 and the consumption of 6 remain. So I can not make a rule like "if it consumes less than X trigger"

MErcuriex has big problems. They know there is a problem with ZANO and they do not cut the coin in their exchange.

I have lost more than 15 Zano and are not responsible, I even today sent 6 zano with the new wallet published yesterday. The coins still do not enter, blame ZANO, and do not think about returning the coins that have been sent. The volume of negotiations from yesterday to today has fallen drastically in mercuriex.

The problem with these small exchanges, is that they are poorly managed, and in case of failure, even if it is their responsibility, they do not pay because they do not have the capacity to do so, nor do they stop the currency for us to stop sending.

Please do not send anything to mercuriex, if you have sent and you have not received, complain about the chat, because they treat us by independent and they tell us that we have to use a unique address every time, that I do it. They have not given notice that ZANO is wrong and they have continued to receive And now they do not want to pay the ZANO that I or my telegram group in Spanish with 800 members have sent some.

So be very careful with Mercuriex because if something goes wrong, they do not pay, as always the miner gets the worst part, as always. And I'm fed up that whenever someone fails something, the one that does not charge is the miner

I must say that all the zanos that owed me have already entered me.

for a couple of version I have been experiencing a very recurring failure, and almost always happens in the 1080ti rigs. When you change from AL-GO and you go to another currency, the miner mine, I see it in the console but in the AM screen it indicates "Miner offline", but it is working. At the end, the offline mining rule is applied to me, reboot rig and then it works.

It's been happening since the OC was implemented with administrator permissions. It is rare that the miner is mining, but the panel figured as offline, without time, temperature, hash or anything, but in the console you see the miner working. It's clear how the program does not read it, it detects offline, and reboot. It is very uncomfortable.

I see this on one of my mixed 1070/1080 rigs too and very, very rarely on my 1080 Ti rig. So I think its not an issue of 1080 Ti's, but of the used mining software and/or the combination which one will be exited first and which one will be opened right after. Iam sure its T-Rex and/or CryptoDredge, never realized that with different miners.

I deactivated the restart in the Offline-Rule, I only get a message when it happens. Just started logging again and will try to catch that case.

dethating that rule is a patch. Because without a real rig it fails and is offline and you do not detect it, and you are in bed 8 hours, because it is 8 hours of lack of mining.

Also, without these data, they are not reflected in the statistics of the rig. So it's just a patch until stability is again because I guess something Patrike could do to control this problem.
Do you also mainly see this for T-Rex (and possibly CryptoDredge) or is it for all mining software? Based on your other post it sounds like it was mainly for T-Rex, but please confirm if this is the only software you run into these problems.

1) If this is an issue with the API of the mining software, please generate an API report for the miner next time you see the issue (toolbar Tools -> API Report). If the API doesn't respond, Awesome Miner might indicate "Mining" but you don't see any other details. The API Report would be able to confirm if this is the case.

2) (I don't think this second point is relevant in your case, but I leave it here as general information). If you also experience that Awesome Miner considers the miner to have crashed completely while it's still running, please also consider the following:
The Remote Agent log file will indicate the Process ID (PID) when it launches mining software. It will look something like this in the log file "Mining Engine Process started, PID: 11524". If you run into this problem where Awesome Miner doesn't think the mining software is running anymore - could you please compare the PID of the process in the Remote Agent log file with what the Windows Task Manager indicates for the mining software? When all is working fine, they should of course be the same, as Awesome Miner monitors the process with this PID. If no process with this PID is found, Awesome Miner considers it a mining software crash.

I already have the fault. I have tried to ignore it by adding more time to the OFFLINE rule that is by default to leave more margin.

In the screenshots you will see that all the miners have been reset when changing to x16rt but rig3 and rig5 both of 1080ti have failed me. One shows even temperature data but not mine, and the other has remained directly on Offline without doing anything until it has been restarted. After restart it works without problems. Not only does it happen with Trex, it also happens with other miners like cryptodredge, nor do I use a wide variety of miners.

The problem persists even having increased the Offline rule to 6 minutes, time to spare. But the rig ends up restarting.

I attached captures with link to not fill the forum of images and I paste the report of RIG 3, which came to work but badly, and restarted, the RIG5 did not arrive or start the miner. Then it restarts and works as if nothing. This took about two or three weeks, coincides with the administrator changes in the native OC and also coincides with the fact that I use Aftherburner for the fan curve.

I leave the api of RIG 3 that if it worked but badly and re-re-established the same

After 5 minutes later he has made another change and he has also failed, this is the catch belonging to RIG5 that also the api below is just that image. Look how is OFFLINE in AM, no data, but down in console is undermining or so it seems.

Api for RIG5. Belonging to the previous catch
