81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lovecoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake on: May 27, 2014, 04:36:32 PM
Well the truth is nobody is currently mining the thing. So why rush to an exchange. Or is it that you guys are the Lovecoin Paperon de' Paperoni
The coin is proof of stake not proof of work there is no more mining

Questions about the Block-Explorer and Rich List.  So if a wallet has too many transactions (because of POS payments), it won't display the actual wallet details but will display a message saying "I'm sorry, this address has too many records to display."?  Is there a way around this?

Does the balance of your wallet (on the rich list) only show current coins in the wallet that aren't staking?  For instance if you have a total of 10,000 DRM, but 2,000 are staking, does it show up on the list as 8,000 DRM?
This would be a question best aimed at datsource he is the one that built it and i am not an abe expert

still around folks. the people involved in dream seem very solid right now, and that's always a huge part of my consideration before I buy into anything. unfortunately I have to wait 6days (for payday) b4 I can purchase some dreams of my own. however on two separate occasions, yesterday and today I have noticed the price of Dream jump to $0.12 and then back down to below $0.04. would much appreciate someone to shed some lite on these crazy spikes, , a comment from johnny_non would be appreciated, but anyone with any insight?? I strongly suspect a friendly whale type investor who I won't mention by name, maybe he is attempting to get the attention of potential buyers? the reason I ask is because these sudden spikes resemble pump n dump spikes I have seen on blatant shitcoins, which am sure this is not, (in truth I have also seen this on goodcoins which were temporarily manipulated by unscrupulous individuals) anyone have any insight??
I don't really know who is doing this in the market, it's not something i have any control of. I don't have any coins on any exchanges. You could be right it could be some whale or somebody trying to stir the pot as it were. My address is in my signature if it makes you comfortable feel free to monitor it. I do know that Myfarm bought a bunch of coins driving the price up and wanted to us to pursue his vision for the coin and then dumped out when we didn't go that direction. That's probably the major spike you are referring to. In all honesty I couldn't sell out all other dreams for one mans dream no matter how big an investor he was and you can fault me for that...
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DRM] Dreamcoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake 15% Stake Rate on: May 27, 2014, 10:35:02 AM
This is something I think the community should look at and think about. I would like to hear feedback. It would take a real group effort to accomplish getting Dreamcoin accepted, but would be greatly beneficial https://coinkite.com/ Also if we treat Dream like a grassroots project and try to be a leader in crypto education and outreach platform of public awareness. Creating flyers and forming localized groups. A large percentage of the population barely know what Bitcoin is and have no clue that there are alts.
I don't think that I am alone when I say I wish us to be more than an inflated hype balloon. We want to attract long term investors, not quick dollar day traders.
We are the foundation of something greater and can play a pivotal role in economic history. With community effort Dreamcoin has the potential to become a household name.
This will take time. It won't happen over night. It will take patience and perseverance, but if we are willing to work for it . the future can be bright

Thank you Smiley I assure you I couldn't have done it with out this great community's help. We have good people here and if we work together we can do great things Smiley

One of the primary things to get things moving is a Multipool up and running. I am personally losing patience with the one that has been "under development" and i keep getting responses from them that keep pushing the date back further. I have sent out messages and am looking for others to build one. I will keep the community informed with progress on this front. Also i submitted dream to be in the next public vote for the coin payments network, I will also keep the community up to date when the voting gets started. Elsewise I've mentioned the coinkite network should be another target goal this will require deeper community debate and participation.
From here progress is a lot based on community efforts to spread the word about Dreamcoin and build the social network.
I have other marketing plans and ideas that will take time to develop however there are some technical details that need to be worked out with some of them.
As POS coins have a bloat when coming to mobile wallets that eat bandwidth and memory. Anyway I'm staying vigil on several fronts of development at the moment...

How much is the tx fee amount hard coded into the wallet?

and when is it triggered to occur?

Thank you.

Anyone?
sorry it should be this
For transactions that take memory less than 1MB
tx fee is 0.00001 DRM

Transaction fees are paid whenever there is a transaction
getinfo is telling me 0.00000

we're reviewing the code

After reviewing the code

The minimum fee 0.00001 DRM is enforced for freshly received coins.
Once a coin has aged a little in the wallet the fee is voluntary
as long as the transaction is less than 1MB

Thank you for the quick reply.

I see you mention .00001 as the minimum, is there a maximum?

Would there ever be a tx fee that was .2 DRM?
There shouldn't be that i am aware of did you make a huge transaction?
I can do further review i have some other tasks to attend to though at the moment.
it should usually be .00001 unless you're moving more than 1mb

No, I did not. Just hypothetical at the moment. Please carry on with the other tasks you need to accomplish.
Again, thank you for the quick replies.
No worries sorry it took me so long to get the first reply to you i had started to reply and then my get info threw me off so we went to review the code to make sure there wasn't an issue...

Let's not turn this into a battle thread. Hippie has valid concerns. He may go about it in an adverse and disruptive manner but i can see that his concerns are valid. I am willing to discuss any and all concerns. I also agree we don't want negativity it benefits no one and there is no reason to be childish.

I'm disruptive ?! LOLz

The truth must give you PTSD from the sounds of it. Cheesy

This means very little when its coming from someone who has yet to fully acknowledge the puppet devs faults.

Who cares about the morals the dev has when you have EASY MONEY you so desperately want to make.
I think you have me wrong. I'm not making easy money. I've lost and given away far more than i have made. As previously stated I'm not here for the money. Perhaps these are your motives, which far from me to judge. I already said it's about change. Yes there is money to be made it's a fledgling industry but there's a difference between a quick buck and have some sort of integral value and looking at the grander picture. no post traumatic stress disorder here. If you can't have a civil conversation and must hurl insults your credibility weakens.

Subject : Re: really what is your issue
Honestly?

This PM wasn't neccessary. You should have posted it here.

Please elaborate on how you believe this, or any ponzi shitcoin, does anything to foster a positive image when presented to the public at large ?
First off this isn't a ponzi or scam I have never dumped on anyone if you take note i don't have a donation address in the OP nor am i offering bribe bounties.
I am curious at which coins you personally support as it would seem to me that you are anti crypto. Do you mine or trade?
I will never yell pump or "too the moon". I won't tell people to buy and always advise never risk more than you can afford to lose.
I am not out to get rich. Personally i feel the the awareness of crypto is important by design they can level the playing field against banks and governments that have exploited the public for decades and longer. I shouldn't be your target. I understand you have something against the original dev. I think we all do.
I wish to foster a community and grow awareness. Now if the idea of trying to back peoples dreams is offensive or miners mining coins is a heinous offense. then i think you're in the wrong forum entirely. However I'm not seeing it in that light. I know that there are several coin launches a day and have had the misfortune of mining some true winners (sense the sarcasm) Now i can't give you a full on over scope answer for every coin. I'm sure you should know i can't because i agree many of the coins launched today are crap.
Which would also lead me to believe that you would recognize when some one is trying to make the best of a bad situation in a legitimate manner with some hope to create something better than what they were left with. Sure Dream is a clone. We know that I don't think anybody has an illusion otherwise it has a fair solid base a nice stake rate and a reasonable coin cap. Beyond that our innovation will be in marketing strategies. Much of which are in a pay it forward mentality. Everything here will be democratic, community driven and transparent.
Like I said I don't have your answers. I just wish to be a small part in a larger revolution.
I thank you for your concern.

johnny

I'm still waiting on word about the multi pool i have contacted another dev we'll see what he has to say and I believe that one of our community members made offer to build one as well In the meantime i will be working on making contacts and trying to expand the reach of dream while maintaining a vigilant eye on the development progresses of a couple other coins.

I think community discussion at this point should be what types of promotional ideas they are wanting to apply effort to...

Once again I am proud to lead such an awesome community

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake 15% Stake Rate on: May 26, 2014, 02:12:17 PM
Tread lightly peeps.

carsen/dreamcoin/hashx11 is desperate to "pull one off" and is likely trying to revive this failcoin.

Why anyone would want to be associated with someone who has clearly shown his/her complete disregard for other's personal safety, is beyond me.

Regardless of who is who's sock or not, those willing to overlook such indignant behaviour, should be avoided at all costs.
I am not Carsen nor am i associated with him in any way and have never directly spoken with him at any point in time.
The past activity by him should not be a reflection upon the present team or community therein. He threw a tantrum and abandoned ship.
Once again iI kindly ask that you refrain from bringing your negativity to this thread.
I appreciate your desire to clean up the crypto community as I myself am on a similar crusade.
However we take different paths on this course you feel it necessary to kick when people are down where i offer a helping hand to their feet

Thanks to dasource we now have our old block explorer and rich list back
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake 15% Stake Rate on: May 26, 2014, 12:58:25 PM
Dev, I setup the block explorer and rich list for the original dev. PM to discuss.

Very interested in the rich list.

And what exactly you are looking to find from richlist? I could give you a little hint. Big (and smart) whales do not have only one account.  Wink
Richlist is pure BS. Nothing more, nothing less.
I think it's more about knowing where we strand ourselves than the concern of what others are holding.
Now I don't know what you hope to gain from harassing this community, but I would like to kindly ask you not to
we are not a group out to scam pump or dump. So please find another place to place your negativity
 thank you
johnny
