It's too bad that a good atheist will get damned because He doesn't believe God.

What's really wonderful is that a bad Christian will get saved because he does.

I'd rather be partying in hell with Socrates, Buddha, Gandhi and all the Rock Bands that ever rocked... than in heaven being bored for eternity, while in the company of a bunch of "bad Christians" and pedophile priests

Some hells are worse than others, even if they are called heaven... good luck with that

That's right. The Hell of "Socrates, Buddha, Gandhi and all the Rock Bands that ever rocked" is a fake hell that is called a heaven. The real Hell is the dissolution of this universe... which includes the spirit and soul and eternity and infinity.

The real Heaven is an entirely new universe that is made out of physics laws that can never be corrupted like this one was. The joy that was originally in this universe before corruption entered, will be greatly improved upon in the new universe. Probably eternity and infinity will be expanded and extended in ways that we can't understand in this faulty universe... but without corruption.

Are you like trying to start a new cult or something?

Because, I have actually read the bible, and it doesn't say ANY of that...

I don't know what the "any of that" is that you are talking about

If you have anything in particular that you are talking about, spit it out with particulars rather than with some general "ANY of that."

By "any of that", I mean literally every single sentence in your response... the bible doesn't say any of that

The Hell of "Socrates, Buddha, Gandhi and all the Rock Bands that ever rocked" is a fake hell that is called a heaven

Where is this in the bible?  Got a chapter and verse?

The real Hell is the dissolution of this universe... which includes the spirit and soul and eternity and infinity.

Where is this?

The real Heaven is an entirely new universe that is made out of physics laws that can never be corrupted like this one was.

None of that is in the bible... have you even read the bible?

The descriptions of heaven in the bible consist of only a few sentences talking about streets of gold... none of the stuff you said is in the bible

God, religion was indiscriminate for a long time, because it demanded blind faith, and disbelief was a sin. Now scientifically objective discoveries have changed our view of the world. And religion has to constantly retreat, even the most stubborn fanatics do not want to look crazy. Therefore, religion is trying to find an explanation for the contradictions, so as not to lose its audience. But as the population becomes more educated, it becomes more difficult to maintain outdated mythology. One hundred years and 90% of people will be atheists.

it doesn't provide facts that we know will always be facts:
As additional scientific evidence is gathered, a scientific theory may be modified and ultimately rejected if it cannot be made to fit the new findings; in such circumstances, a more accurate theory is then required.
The same paragraph contradicts what was just said:
That doesn’t mean that all theories can be fundamentally changed (for example, well established foundational scientific theories such as evolution, heliocentric theory, cell theory, theory of plate tectonics etc).

The whole idea of science theory is double talk, designed to make science fiction into science fact in the eyes of people who are not scientists

This is called intellectual honesty... something you know nothing about

Only a fool would think he had all the answers and he couldn't possibly be mistaken about anything

There are some scientific theories, like evolution, to which the abundance of facts and evidence have proven the theory true, to the point where it could not be fundamentally changed (details might change, but evolution is proven true... every living thing on this planet evolves... period... this is a proven fact)... this is what you quoted, and you don't seem to understand it or accept it

The same goes with the other things in that list... the Earth revolves around the sun... all living things have cells... these are facts which cannot seriously be disputed

Denying evolution is as laughable as denying the Earth revolves around the sun... you're a fool if you believe your own nonsense

Your examples of science fact are examples of how a bunch of facts that are twisted to show things that really didn't happen. And the twisting is done in the minds of people who want them to be factual, and who use a lot of words to make them sound factual when they are not factual, or when we don't know that they are factual.

Evolution scientists are fools if they believe their own nonsense.

You used to attempt to make sense... this is just sad to watch these days... why even bother replying with something so stupid?

You certainly won't convince anyone that you are correct when you post shit like this

You only make yourself look foolish

Legal weed is a fair one, I do think that the US fed government should step out of the way (and have no policy on weed) and allow the states to do as they please on weed.

EXCEPT that days after weed's legalized, they're already running out. In good socialist fashion, they now proceed to the modern equivalent of Soviet bread lines.

Weed lines.

And who is it that will come to the help?

The good old USA, with our illegal but capitalist weed.

What did you expect to happen?  There is a HIGH demand for weed (get it?)

When you legalize weed, and 50% of the population wants some... you will run out because yesterday it was illegal to grow it, so the supply is very limited

Do you think you can grow 5000 tons of cannabis overnight?  It will take many months to ramp up production high enough to meet the demand for it...

This is simple economics and has NOTHING to do with socialism or capitalism... don't be stupid and try making this into something it is not

If this is you taking a pot-shot at socialism (sorry for another double-entendre)... you are a fool

The problem with religion is... I want facts and evidence, not baseless claims backed by nothing

I don't trust the words of people 2000+ years ago... everything from 2000+ years ago is full of magical nonsense that we all know is bullshit (even "historians" of the time added magical nonsense to their "history")... why claim this one book isn't bullshit like all the rest?
89  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: October 22, 2018, 02:21:14 PM
I also agree with you that I believe that the real poison is religions, which is the main cause of all human problems

I would agree with this as far as the Western religions go (christianity, islaam, jewish, mormon, etc)

But, the eastern "religions" are more philosophy than mythical beliefs.  Buddhism, for example, teaches a person to look inward for answers rather than blaming everything on some imaginary sky god.  Eastern religions teach that you alone are responsible for your salvation, not some magical fairy in the sky

I'm not saying eastern religions are perfect, but at least they don't go around committing genocide all the time
90  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: October 22, 2018, 07:13:51 AM
better to live your life that God exist and at end you find out that it does not than living your life as if there's no God and at end God exist

This is just Pascal's Wager, which has numerous problems like, "which god"?

Why do you believe in Yahweh instead of Zeus or Odin?  Which god (or pantheon of gods) should I worship?
91  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The difference between science and religion on: October 20, 2018, 11:36:23 AM
The difference between science and religion:

Religious answer to anything = "God did it"

Scientific answer to anything = "Let me show you how it happened", or "I don't know"
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: October 20, 2018, 11:18:39 AM
Contrary to popular mainstream Atheistic rants that religion or specifically Christianity is poisonous to society, I want to argue that Christianity has done and will continue to provide society with many great social positives.

If Christianity has provided society with "many great social positives", it was purely by accident

Most Christians have no idea whatsoever what the bible says (because they didn't bother to read it)

Case and point: https://thestateoftheology.com/data-explorer/2018/12

When Christians are asked to agree or disagree with the statement, "Even the smallest sin deserves eternal damnation", only 23% agree and 69% disagree.

The bible actually says all sins are equal:

Quote from: James 2:10
For whoever shall keep the whole law and shall offend in one point, he has come under the guilt of breaking all.

Judging by the numbers, I would estimate that at most 23% of Christians have read their bible

Out of 34 questions in the survey, no more than 70% of Christians agreed on any single question...  If this was a test, the entire class failed!

Now world religion is a controlling tool of spreading war. They are not following even what religion said.So political is binding with religion and they using it for improving racism and separate people. As humans we have a huge responsibility to minimize this problem. We must spreading humanity except racism.Religion must not going to parents to children.People can be choose what they following or not.

Religion doesn't start war, its a facade - people do. That said, blanket statements about religion are rarely ever helpful considering the vast array of religions out there.

Semantics... religions do start wars

Wars are started because people refuse to settle differences through talking... religious people have no interest in settling differences with people of other religions... the majority of "holy" books (Bible, Quran, etc) state that you are commanded by god to murder anyone who even tries to convert you to another religion, even if it is your own family, parents or children trying to convert you.

If you don't believe that religious differences have started wars... you are willfully ignorant

Also, there is not a "vast array of religions out there"... I can count the religions of the world on 2 hands... 1 hand on a good day (jew, christian, muslim, hindu, buddhist)

When are you guys going to realize that BADLogic lacks intellectual honesty/integrity, and has no interest in a debate that might lead to actual answers?

His replies will always be bullshit, supported with no facts or evidence... there will never be a link to a scientific article backing up any of his claims

Why bother arguing with someone like this?

Just let him go on with his nonsense, but please stop feeding the troll

God invented religion. He did it in the way he religiously created the esrth in 6 days.

Were you there?!?

Pics or it didn't happen!

You don't know all the science that you talk about is true?

Science takes pics... science provides experiments, which I can repeat myself, to demonstrate the truth of their claims

Can you demonstrate the truth of anything you say?

All you have demonstrated is that you cant spell the name of the planet you live on

Let's see the proof for evolution.

That's easy

Scientists use mathematical calculations to PROVE the existence of God

You can't seriously believe that can you?

Not only that he thinks that his God created humanity in his own image.

More sane explanation is that he created God in his own image. In his mind.  But that goes without saying.

I actually read that brief article, and it doesn't even make such a claim...

This is the closest thing they said about it, and it isn't even grammatically correct so I have zero clue what they are even attempting to say here:

But two computer scientists have used computers to run such complicated which they say confirms that the equation does indeed add up.

So, 2 guys say the equation adds up?

Can you explain what "used computers to run such complicated which they say confirms"... means?

Can you explain why your source didn't bother to proof-read their own article?

This is bullshit, not a proof... this isn't even close to how science works... try again

On watching most of the debates, although I would have liked Bernie to be the Prez, but I guess the election boiled down to two liars and the one who could do so more convincingly won.

I blame Hillary for that one... she didn't even try

Trump said all these things that were obvious lies, but at least he said them... not everyone knows a lie when they see it, and he convinced enough dopes that he would be a champion of LGBT rights, etc... obvious lies

Hillary on the other hand, didn't even try... she didn't even pretend that she would be on the side of the working class... her only message was "vote for me, I have a vagina"

Posting something you don’t own is against in any religion.

I’m calling the attention of OP to check post like this one so that the merit won’t just long gone for nothing.

I don't get what you are trying to say...

Are you saying I plagiarized this thread from another website?

I've never seen that before, and don't even agree with all of it... I certainly didn't copy anything from it

Sorry for confusion and nope it’s not you, but someone you’ve merited who’ve posted here in you’re thread.

His life was written eighty years after his death, by people who had not directly known him.

That’s a phrase from what I reported to be plagiarised. Not on my personal opinion.

Strange... I didn't realize it was illegal to copy and paste something you found on the internet

Typically plagiarism only applies to an academic setting, or if you are trying to make money off someone else's work... neither of which are being done on this forum

There is no requirement to post a link or give credit to a source someone copied from... is there?

Also, I'm not here to babysit anything someone posts in this thread looking for plagiarism or whatever... that's just silly and a waste of time... if you want to waste your time doing that... that's on you
