Well for me the best religion is christian catholic. I think that because for me it is the true religion. It is the true religion because I believe that God the father, the son and the holy spirit are the true god. They are three in one person.  Pics or it didn't happen! |

In my opinion, religion is just a guideline as to how you should live your life, with the essence being, don't hurt others, your self or the community in general.
Do good and be a part of humanity and work to make it a better place.
I would just call it "common sense", not religion. And I follow to the same principles, as an atheist. You do not need religion to be good. Religion isn't about being good... it's about "fake it 'til you make it" Religion is about being an asshole, but God forgives you anyway The bible/God says that owning slaves is ok... rape is ok... homosexuality deserves death... eating a cheeseburger deserves death... cutting your sideburns = death... (yet people only hear what they want to hear) Cherry picking hypocrites... all of them Most religious people have different versions of God because none of them actually read the bible... everyone just creates this image of perfection in their head, and that is God... to them... but not anyone else... everyone's God is different... if you watch two christians talk/debate, it's like they don't agree on anything... as if there is no objective God, and its all subjective... because there is no god Christians say things like, "God says homosexuality is a sin"... well... that's not what God said in the bible... God commands you to MURDER them... personally... God tells you to MURDER homosexuals (because for some reason he can't do it himself)... if you are not murdering them, you are not following God's command... Your sky god is evil, don't do it! |

An organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god and i think its good to believe in god i think religion is very important part of the lives

Who will go in hell if christians claim christianity is the true religion but muslim keep on insisting. WHHAAAAAATT? So you mean killing babies instead of directly killing the pharaoh in Egypt is just? What's seems to be the fault of a newborn baby in a conflict that your god and pharaoh had?
Of all the fictitional characters ever invented, the god of christianity is one of most evil! Jealous and proud of it, a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak, a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser, a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully (R.Dawkins). That is why i could never get the idea of christianity. everybody says that the god is compassionate,but how is he lol? if he erased the whole Earth while big flood ? ... What generally happens here in response to your very valid observation is either: A) Your concern is ignored and swept under the carpet. Bl) Your concern is addressed but only with a hand-wavy blurry response, that actual raises more questions than it answers. C) Your told how great their god is. D) Believe or burn in hell. Or sometimes you'll get a cobbled together mixture of the above. Ahahahah, I got b), c) and d) yesterday. I especially appreciated the last one. God is too complicated for you to understand... now shut up... give us money, and do what we tell you |

When I hear "religion", I think about people believing things with no evidence...
So, I imagine the "religion of the future" will be something similar... basically propaganda... like establishment media, or pseudoscience like "climate change"
Claims like "most climatologists believe it, so you should too" is not science... that is not how science works... science is not based on how many people believe something (or it would be religion, not science)... science is based on EXPERIMENTATION and EVIDENCE, not opinion!

I hear Obama drones kill the wrong person 90% of the time... that would piss me off if I had a relative killed by a drone... just sayin'  |

The problem with the death penalty is that once you kill someone, you cannot un-kill them...
Many people have been convicted of crimes and then found innocent years later
If there is a death penalty, I think it should be done publicly, and people should be forced to watch at least once... like the good old days
I would also like to see the guillotine make a comeback... who doesn't love a nice guillotine?

Many atheists fear religion because they are not very intelligent.
All God pushers are afraid of the truth, they cannot think for themselves, they have been indoctrinated, hypnotized, these are same people that watch soap operas, and think its real life, they also believe everything they read in the newspapers, they even quote Wiki, the biggest piece of crap in the entire world, well it comes a close second to all religious books. I am free from all that. Are you saying pro-wrastlin' is fake? Kill the heretic! |

Bringing this kid to Rome... At all costs and it ain't a few judeans barbarians who could have stop Pilate... If you doubt what I just wrote it's because you don't understand anything. What does the Quran reports on those miracles... Good question...
Ps if you wanna see a miracle watch a bird fly and remeber it came in an egg ;-) like the alligator! (And the fish too).
You have first to understand Jesus's mission. He came to save not himself but all humankind. So, his goal never was to save only himself. In fact, his victory was spiritual, not external. We celebrate his resurrection, not death.  |
