Liverpool have lost points in the last 4 games out of 5. This failure is more reminiscent of Arsenal's finish, absolutely incredible, but just recently Liverpool were leading the Premier League and were favorites for the title, and after today's game they only have a mathematical chance (something like half a percent, not more).

I must say that Leverkusen is indeed very lucky this days and it seems they might end the season unbeaten since they are doing such great comebacks in the stoppage time.
I am also surprised as Dortmund is losing more matches despite their good Champions League performance, and Leverkusen is not having a good performance because they drew their last three matches which two were all comebacks from behind. Is it that Alonso is now playing other players that did not have enough playing time at the beginning of the season so that they can also play? Or they are losing form since they have won the league?
How I wish they end the season unbeaten, it will be more interesting and a good record for Alonso to set.
Unfortunately, Leverkusen's performance seems to have declined and it looks like they almost lost this match. Even though the opponent they faced was a team that should be easy to beat, in reality Leverkusen was under pressure until extra time. Leverkusen was lucky to get a goal from Robert Andrich's kick. Nantes failed to take advantage of a good opportunity when 2 Montpellier players were shown red cards in the 90++ minute. what really made a big surprise in this match was that each of the team's goals came in less than the 10th minute.
Nantes' position in the standings is not safe at all, their chances of falling into the relegation zone are very big if they lose against Brest on the next matchday
They could not take advantage while the two red cards were shown in the injury time by the end of the game. Yet Nantes weren't able to added another goal after they got the draw unfortunately for them since they aren't far from the relegation zone. Tomorrow there will be a match between PSG vs Le Havre and Metz vs Losc, for my bet, i will of course choose PSG and LOSC.

The only match that might trouble City in the future is the match against Tottenham, their other four matches are quite easy to overcome. So on paper the chances of Pep Guardiola fleet winning the Premier League trophy are greater than Arsenal and Liverpool, and I think City will sweep all future matches with a win.
Well Manchester City last match against Tottenham Hotspur ended by 6 goals, three for each team. Their defeats were versus Arsenal and Wolverhampton, I forgot the third. Anyway the point is that Manchester City could lose when facing another team regardless of how good it is if they were not fit that day. Otherwise, missing points by draws is the other problem that made Manchester City so close to gunners and Liverpool which they should beware of. I tend to think that Manchester City is gonna be the winner this season, yet I am not very confident right now. |

Now after this elimination we are having two trophies for the Al Hilal to win and keep their season under well control even they are already having Saudi League into their pocket, but they need to give their best in Kings Cup which is having Al Ittihad in semifinal and possibility Al Nassr in final.
Al Ain is known Emirati teams and tends to finish in top 4 most of the time these last years. This year they are third with several defeats and draws, yet they managed to eliminate Al-Hilal which have a phenomenal season in Saudi Pro League. Losing to Crystal Palace was somehow okay because there was still hope for Liverpool to challenge for the Premier League title. With this 2-0 loss at Everton, I believe Liverpool is out of this season's Premier League title race. Manchester City and Arsenal will use this opportunity to accumulate enough points that would make them top Liverpool with a good point difference, and Liverpool will have no chance of challenging for the Premier League title.
I think things started to fall apart for them from the FA Cup exit, a draw to Manchester United a couple of weeks later, followed by a heavy defeat at Anfield to Atlanta in the UCL. It's very evident that their players have lost confidence and Anfield that was once a fortress is no longer feared by the visiting teams. I think this pretty much sums up Klopp's final year at Liverpool. It's sad, but that's the reality. Liverpool failure in Champions League affected heavily the team indeed.. They took three goals and now two goals against Everton which is not top! That victory made Everton almost secure from relegating and made Klopp leaving the club without successful records these last years.. It is sad indeed. I can't just explain what is going on with Napoli, they seem to be disorganized in the attack. Victor Osimhen is not getting good balls instead most of the players prefer to go for goals and it's not helping the team. They created few chances and will have to win more games if they want at least to be in a European competition. They have dropped to eighth position, which is six points below the rejuvenated Roma. there is no hope anymore for Napoli in this season not to become the leader of the League but to become at least a middle team. In fact, Napoli's performance is getting worse day by day. Napoli's inconsistency in every consideration is very visible. It's true what you said that Osimhen really doesn't get passes and good opportunities to kick or just get the ball. It's quite unfortunate, even though Osimhen is a talented player but is not supported by suitable tactics at the club. So in the coming season it will be enough for Osimhen to move to a club that can really make his performance develop rapidly. When I remember the arrogance of Napoli owner and how rude he was in negotiations about selling Osimhen for a huge price that could rebuild a whole team and the results of the team right now, I would say that he deserved that for taking a risky chance. Napoli will not make anything this season and they need to think about the future a bit and find more efficient players to consolidate the squad.. |

I know a few day/weeks back when Bayern Leverkusen cant beat in a easy way the qarabag team they are not gonna be the winners of this tournament, but well that aged like shit after we see Liverpool going out of the tournament, and plus we are seeing Leverkusen with a ton of luck on their side, man they always score a draw or a winner in the last minutes of the games, like yesterday against Dortmund.
Bayer Leverkusen have a nice record of not losing successive matches in a single attempt and they are increasing this gap. In Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund, it was the mistake of Dortmund to lose since Bayer Leverkusen have nothing left to win in Bundesliga since they already lift the trophy! In Europa League, even though Liverpool left the race, but there is still Roma and Atalanta that could be annoying and threatening. Anyway, Bayer Leverkusen have this title to add to Bundesliga one this season. |

After today's victory of Real Madrid in El Classico, they are one step closer to lifting the title. They need only two victories and a draw in the remaining six games to be declared champions.
Barcelona will have most likely a big zero season with nothing to win. They were close to get a draw against Real Madrid tonight but Bellingham late goal made them unhappy.
Atletico Madrid wasn't successful this round too after the defeat against Alaves by two goals and with the victory of both Girona and Athletic Bilbao, they got a clear warning that their Champions League spot for the next season is not guaranteed!

Lukaku is the kind of striker I like. He was a fast footballer with a strong physique and tall size. But he has suffered too many injuries and has lost his former performance. Now it is very difficult for him to play for Chelsea or teams of that level. I think he will either go to the Arab leagues or to the Greek or Turkish leagues. He is not good enough to play in Europe's elite leagues. But I think this is not a problem for him. Icardi came to Galatasaray and he's had great stats for the last two seasons. If Lukaku comes to Turkiye, he can regain his confidence here. I don't think Turkiye will be the end for him.
Lukaku form dropped a lot since he left Inter Milan and the Chelsea experience was so negative on him and from a failure to another until he found some stability here. Now he is injured again and confirmed to not be able to play in tomorrow's game against Bologna. Even Pep Guardiola mocked him. He thanked him indirectly for missing to score three meters away from the goal! I agree that he might find himself more in another league like Turkish one or just Saudi Pro League were he will find some challenges and more money. |
