Chain is moving nice and fast again Happy holidays all!! If they were still necessary, that other 3 IP: "addr": "173.71.25.161:13876" "addr": "2.31.128.152:13876" "addr": "86.5.28.9:13876" Yes, the interval of the block chain is improving, many thanks. I think he refers to the fact there is a significant slowdown of the blockchain. In some moments there are only 2 or 3 blocks in an hour.
Ill speed up the chain, 24-48hrs is needed for this Very well, thank you. I am curious to see what will be the technical solutions used to do this.

well slow chaining not is a problem for that kind of coin, let's see if this project survive to 2016, but really i feel lots op people is making coins without know what are they doing
Must be admitted that this is a type of event that is uncommon to think, and even more difficult to control at first sight. For example, the block explorer does not show directly the date and time of each block, and then this is information which must be sought with perseverance, or alternative tools. And also the 'classics' wallet are stingy with these type of information. Of these kind of slowdown, the user notices it only when making a transaction and wait over an hour to get the transaction confirmed. And the fact that the blockchain alone can not compensate, can also be a sign that the network is working to lower limits of PosDiff, with all that implies.

Thanks Remy, wallet syncing now with those addnodes. Confused why/how this worked though, was the "super" nodes given in config files supposed to prevent these issues?
Glad to know. Yes exactly, you are right. I did a fast test of supernode by pinging, and only one does not respond. But this is a test that may not be significant, as the ping may be blocked by a firewall, or the server may be on-line on but with the node frozen. Looking in debug.log, the number of IP of some of the supernodes, seems to have been seen not less than 48 hours ago. But also this is a subjective test, not very reliable. Shahim previously had complained about the fact that the hosting service imposed limits on the use of server resources excessively low. So as a mere guess we could imagine that the excess of these limits has resulted in a freeze of the supernode daemon, and consequently also the freezing of the updating of the Block Explorer. But it is only a conjecture. EDIT: I did another test, this time using the wallet, and right now I get repeatedly "connection timeout" on all 5 the nodes. Fortunately, the network is able to go ahead even without the use of supernodes.

DROP DEAD ?
Dont think so, im still here. Drop still on exchange. Chain still moving Price is very stable at the moment no big dumps or what so ever I think he refers to the fact there is a significant slowdown of the blockchain. In some moments there are only 2 or 3 blocks in an hour. Perhaps one of the causes of this slowdown could be due to the fact that a group of addresses, normally very active in producing blocks, has not produced blocks in the last 24 hours. As far i can see, the total number of blocks of the last 24 hours should be around 158, bringing the average interval time between the blocks at around 546 seconds.

Yes have config file running that came with wallet, multiple more attempts and still cannot connect. Nothing else running on PC, still won't connect......only wallet I currently have that I can't get to connect.
Any other ideas how I can get synced?
I normally don't use any add node, and work well. Anyway, you could make this attempt. Only for one time, try adding this lines to your configuration file: addnode=5.230.145.133 addnode=86.173.94.230 addnode=82.19.2.149 addnode=90.206.220.37 addnode=73.246.201.74 addnode=184.167.180.122 addnode=90.203.116.150 addnode=176.154.77.92 addnode=46.238.44.222 addnode=24.231.137.146
And restart the wallet. When they have worked and the wallet will find the new addresses alone, you can remove those lines again. Possibly as a further measure you could also try to move elsewhere the file peers.dat. In this way, the wallet will provide to recreate the file of nodes, using only the ip addresses listed in the configuration file.

Yea i don't see it anymore. That sucks, I looked in the last few days I thought i looked like we had hit our Vol. Terrible. should I say it, at least we still got Cryptsy.
i agree. at least we still have cryptsy. cryptsy is a meat grinder... they'll squeeze u'r profit If it were only a meat grinder, knowing in advance, would also be acceptable, any one could get to their accounts and conduct themselves accordingly. Instead in recent weeks, it is becoming an almost one-way exchange, with the withdrawal of the major coins (BTC, LTC, DASH) which are very slow, and in some cases employ weeks. Obtain a withdrawal of their money is like winning a lottery. Someone could think of to resort to other coins AltCoins, but many of them are not usable because they are in perennial maintenance. The only other currencies that regular work, they have price higher of 10% or worse than the other exchanges, which combined the high fees of WD, make counterproductive its use. To think that the only exchange for XRA with a certain volume is Cryptsy, and Cryptsy in these condition, it makes the moment even sadder if possible.
|
|
|
I think the greater "issue" is the must-trade mentality of some of these exchanges. There is nothing inherently "wrong" with a coin that is intended for long-term holding, other than the fact that a low trade volume will net any exchange less profit in fees.
Bending to that kind of mentality stifles innovation for new and alternative methods of creating and maintaining a blockchain
I agree with you, but of course they look only to their gain, as all. Every week there are new coins that they want a big new exchange and have the ambition to be the best, or simply hope to attract some other fool. So it is natural that there is some form of selection of the coins, but this time I think they threw the baby instead of throwing the bath water. Very sad.

I’m helping the NAV team with the release of their business strategy around the release of the API decentralisation, and helping them get articles on their technology published. Feel free to ask me any direct questions. I’ll be on the forum a bit as well if you’ve got any questions about NAV and how the projects are going.
Welcome Sofia, it is a pleasure to know you. Here you can surely do a lot for the development and for the image of NavajoCoin. I hope you can be here often, and bring here with your talent and your experience, a breath of fresh ideas. For the moment I will not make you specific questions, maybe I will make it later on. You can consider this as a respite, or rather, my personal Christmas gift.

I used to see about 16btc buy support on bittrex, now I only see 5.
Probably someone may have reduced its positions because there is no possibility of arbitrage with Cryptsy, which still has the wallet NAV in maintenance, and that's not the only problem they have there.

Apart from a few movements to and from the exchanges, it can be seen the entering on the top 20 of a new address, which began with a more than 800K Nav, and it is active in staking. Regarding the timing of the intervals between the blocks, times have fluctuated around 29 seconds, and then nothing remarkable to report and no need of new diagrams. (Yes!!) Regarding the PosDiff, there was a sharp fall earlier this week, but it from at least a couple of days is back to the normal values, like a week ago. There are still no trace of the "the black sheep". PS: The official block explorer seem it is taking a nap. Its most recent showed block, has been generated near a week ago. Please Shahim, you could be so kind to bring a coffee to block explorer?

Remy_5 the problem is that some people doesn't check the history to see if the same question was answered in the past, and this isn't the only case that exist in the whole forum and it goes even worse with not even checking the OP in some ANN, anyway seems that who was going to do all this mess changed targed because DROP seems stable at the moment
Yes, I know, but my message was not one complaint. Just give due credit to those who had already given the answer. Also a bit of messages in more I think it is useful to this forum. Probably the guy who wants to win the prize is touring between different currencies. Otherwise it might become too predictable, and always use the same type of coins to the end could become expensive for him. Who knows, maybe in a little while he will return to visit us.

Well i think we have to wait to BTC price to stabilize before we can see Ratecoin price to normalize
do we have some dice site for this coin?
Yes, at least one, its cradle: Yobit

Yes wouldn't you love to have a coin which you can change all of the parameters on the fly with no need to hard fork and get everyone to update?? Sounds amazing to me, so I have started some preliminary development on it. Unfortunately it is a very very busy time of the year for me, so can only do limited work right now.
Unfortunately, today I'm in a hurry. But the idea is fantastic. It would even be superlative if you could add, not only changes of parameters, but also correction code and hotfix during operation, without need of manual intervention. But I think this self modifying code is a kind of taboo. And with good reasons sometimes. But now I am going too far forward. Better a safe step at time.

Sounds like a super idea to me. Also looks like the Vol is super low due to BTC rise on Bittrex we got the dreaded low Volume nasty
What would be the trend of the price if it was expressed directly in dollars or other fiat?

who pump drop in yobit.net ?
that's the question we all have actually. Recently the trade activities on yobit are really weird I think the answer has already been given by MbccompanyX, a few days ago, referring to the peaks of false volume. And I, too, believe it is the most likely cause. He wrote: almost 12btc volume on Yobit. Nice. because somebody maybe faked it so could win the 0.1btc prize for who traded the most

Can someone post more nodes I can add to config so I can transfer my NAV on Exchange, please.
It is usually not necessary to set up additional nodes in the configuration file, for example, I have none. However, if you just need, here is an extract of the nodes to which I am connected: "addr" : "82.19.2.149:44440", "addr" : "86.173.94.230:44440", "addr" : "155.210.85.36:44440", "addr" : "90.206.220.37:44440", "addr" : "5.230.142.254:44440", "addr" : "89.252.99.230:44440", "addr" : "68.173.12.233:44440", "addr" : "46.238.44.222:44440", "addr" : "2.84.168.24:44440", "addr" : "73.246.201.74:44440", In any case, before any transferring, check carefully whether the exchange has his wallet in function, and if it is correctly synchronized. There is some exchange which has *big* problems on his side.
