Unfortunately I'm not entirely convinced any sort of 'fix' was actually implemented. If what Remy_5 indicated earlier is true regarding nav having it's 3rd birthday doesn't the PoS block reward get cut in half at that point? That coupled with the recent network weight increase might explain the major delta we are all experiencing on staked wallets at this point.
Bingo! This is main reason. Since block 2102401, what was assumed to be the first block of the third year, it began operating a new rate of reward, which is now only 5%. So the value of the stake grows much, much more slowly than before and in a more linear way. And that in itself is enough to justify your observations. About the fix, if you have not changed your code, or updated program of wallet, then obviously there is no fix in action. As I see, the secondary triggers reasons, there are still all, the little group of addresses that produce blocks in the future, continue in their slip forward. (It was the so-called group A of the little experiment a few weeks ago). Other indirect reasons, are internal to the code and are somewhat common to all POS coins. The substantial improvement that's been around the 2015/10/10, is due to some circumstances "environmental". Our "whale", has probably restarted his wallet, and its new time-offset is now very close to zero, this has as it were, shifted the center of mass of the times in a more favorable position. In addition, after the re-adjustment of its groups of coins after the change of address, the whale has returned to produce blocks with great frequency, and thanks to its "weight", and the low Diff, he has produced very long chains of consecutive blocks, also 15 blocks in a row. Normally this would be very unpleasant, but in this case, the blocks produced from the same source did not have large changes of time back and forth, and not to have negative intervals gave way at PosDiff to rise a little, pushing the block interval to 12-15 second circa, finally. Instead, the rise of PosDiff of the last few hours, is another indirect effect of the change of interest. There is more to say, for example on how to re-optimize the size of the blocks, but it's late and it's better to know first what are the intentions of the DevTeam. Happy New Year!  |

Two clarifications about these lists, if you will look good in the list are also visible addresses which do not have movements for a year and a half, probably they are abandoned. Also there are addresses that are supposedly "cold addresses" of the exchange, and it is difficult for both of them to express an opinion of any kind.  Besides those, shown above are the amounts of individual addresses, but different addresses may belong to the same wallet, and some person can have more than a wallet. Therefore it is difficult to determine how many are actually real people who are have those addresses. Boys do not fight among yourselves, or you will not have your cake. |

About Alcurex, has already been written. Well, the block interval is still much variable, but in the last hours the most of time is a little more slow, around 12 seconds. (Yes !!) Shahim has just restored the block explorer. What about the volume in general, a few minutes ago there was a spike on Bittrex a little less than 1 BTC. |

In this regard I would like to invite again the Dev Team, but also the foundation or individual investors, to seek an alternative site temporary for block-explorer and the rich-list, the next few weeks I could be busy in other. I read elsewhere that are emerging sites that offer this type of service on a monthly basis. Concerning to the acceleration, the average block interval is about 8 seconds, there are were over 11K blocks only in just 24 hours, instead of the expected 2880. The total number of blocks in the block-chain to more than 2.033.093. The rate of blocks orphans is around 25%, but is a matter to be taken with caution, it is extremely subjective, some wallet may have seen pass a different numbers of orphans. If I can say a prayer at all, it is to go into debug console issue the rpc command "getinfo" and if in the result obtained, the "timeoffset" number is substantially different from zero, I would advise to close the your wallet, check that your system time is correct and restart the wallet, and possibly recheck the getinfo after half an hour. For "substantially different from zero", I mean for example greater than 10, or less than -10, but the more accurate is better for the good of all. And if the number is greater than +-30, then you should be ashamed, or kicking yourself. I am pleased that in OP the link to block explorer was finally settled, and for that I thank the DevTeam. What is really ironic, now that the link after weeks has been fixed is the same official block explorer not to be operational, given that it is still locked to 2015/09/24. Finally, I must unfortunately suggest another change to the OP, I wanted to give a look at the listing of the NAV of Alcurex, and I followed the link to the OP, the result was: "market is removed or not exist.". Apparently in their SOCIAL section, they wrote: "NavajoCoin NAV will be removed soon. Please remove all orders NAV" I do not know if it's a recent thing or or not, I do not remember seeing any message about it here, but maybe just me. So it seems that we have lost another exchange. Strange and somewhat interesting. My wallet has 12 active peers, and nodes navajosupernode3.no-ip.biz [46.28.202.162] and the 5 [.152 *] are operational. If you still have a few nodes, you can do this test: Close the wallet, move the file peers.dat elsewhere, and restart your wallet. Perhaps it will take a bit, but you should be able to find again most of the peers. Bye Bye |

It's a bit of time that I think to ask You something. Some time ago I have collaborated occasionally for another currency. I have to say that certain features of Nav wallet to which I am accustomed, they are not present in the other wallet, and I miss them a bit. So I was thinking to import those specific functions in that other wallet, perhaps with some modification, I refer to the Stake Report, and the Markets Ticker, as you can see are not key functions of NAV wallet, but I think they are very useful. This at the moment is just my idea, I have not yet spoken with PressTab, the current Dev, and then do not even know if for he's okay to add this new functions, but before starting all, first I would like to know your thoughts about this, the Your and of Pakage of course, and if I have yours consent. About Rich-List and Block-Explorer, please Shahim you may check the block explorer, it seems to be locked to a week ago. I understand that this mass of blocks, puts a strain on the entire infrastructure, but the smooth functioning of the block explorer, IMHO, I think it should be ever a priority, especially during this hard time and for many reasons. If now the block explorer is off line because you are working on the site, OK, but perhaps it would be appropriate to operate for a few weeks another explorer separated and temporary, even if it's ugly and outdated, but that it is able to follow the flow of the block-chain. Are you saying multiple addresses of 1500 in wallet better than 1 address with xxx,xxx NAV? Please clarify and if this is the case provide an explanation.
it doesn't have to be multiple addresses, it can be multiple 'chunks' within the same address. I am not sure what the official term for 'chunks' is, but I am referring to a grouping of coins that are the same age. If you look in coin control, a single address can have hundreds+ of chunks in it. I don't really have an explanation other than what I have noticed over the past year and what Remy showed me. Remy did an analysis a while back charting the blocks generated and how many coins it took and how long, etc.... it was very detailed and lined up with what I observed. So no explanation, just observation. Remy could probably provide better details. I'm just regurgitating what he figured out. On that note, a big kudos to Remy for his continued in depth and very intriguing block chain analysis. I believe this sort of analysis is of great importance when looking ahead into the future of Navajo. Thanks Remy ! A good rule of thumb would be to take a look in coin control every once and a while and sort your coins by smallest size as well as oldest age (you will notice some chunks just don't generate a block for some reason). I then send the 'under performing' chunks together to myself into groups of 1.5k-3k. if you keep your wallet running 24/7 and do the above, you should be pretty close to maximizing your POS returns. And if Bocyaj after month continues to regurgitate that old post, you can imagine how difficult it was to digest.  With regard to chuncks, they are the results of individual transaction incoming to the own wallet, and often refers to them with the name of UTXO. I prefer pile, but this is just about me. In this regard, the number that you see listed in the last column of my unofficial richlist, the C-Pile (Coin Pile), indicates how many should be the UTXO of that single address. Each UTXO, has its own independent possibility of generating a stake, partly due to luck, partly due to the value of UTXO and at his age (here limited to 24 hours). All this of course is controlled by the POS-Diff, if it is high, the UTXO of low value have tiniest possibility to produce results, so as Bocyaj wrote, it is useful to send them back to themselves, so to have a single UTXO of bigger value. But.. when it is the POS-diff to be at very low levels, as these days, well ... I recently saw in blockchain also produce a new block in less than 30 hours even by UTXO around 90 Nav. In meanwhile other UTXO with value of more than 1000 Nav waiting for days. Matter of luck, sometimes having many small possibility of lower value, gives better results than a single large probability, sometime not. There are two schools of thought about pile dimension, few bigger or many middle, both with their own reason, pros and cons. The scenarios change, and we must adapt to them. PS: Thanks Bocyaj for your kind word. I try to do what I can, but they are heavy and tedious arguments, often uninteresting for most users. This is another graph of the PosDiff and the interval between the blocks, starting from day 2015-09-09, as you see the values have decreased further.  In making this series of charts, I realized that the times of the blocks jump back and forth too many seconds abnormally. My hypothesis is that these jumps are the secondary reason that pushes down the PosDif, and the interval between the blocks. So I tried to figure out if these jumps were equally distributed between all addresses. With some difficulty and with a little empirical methods, I tried to calculate the average time between the previous block and that generated by a given address, and between this and the next block. These times are generally very random, but considering a large number of blocks, the end values tend to stabilize, and should converge to the normal average time between the blocks. While in most of the addresses this values are practically symmetrical, there are groups of addresses that instead show a strong preference to producing blocks or in the past or in the future, in short they have a marked time offset. This generates the anomalous jumps in time of blockchain of which I wrote earlier. I thought about what "normal" causes could produce a time offset in the wallet, for example, a drift of the system clock, or a excessive memory effect in the mechanism of the median time of wallet. To test these cause I asked to do that experiment, to close the wallet, check the time and restart the wallet, and I took as a reference 12 addresses from the top stacker that were representative of the various groups. Among these are four addresses of group A (generating blocks at least 1 minute in the future), three of the group C (values virtually symmetrical, just for control), the other by Group B (back in time 20 or more seconds). The graph it is also based on windows, wide 24 hours, then also a sudden event, is presented as a gradual sliding, the width of which is represented by two vertical dashed red line.  Although you may notice that after a few hours from the request, the addresses of group C, traces green and magenta around 0, settle on to new values, presumed effect of the request, the rest of the results were disappointing. Especially at global level. In fact, if a positive increase in the POS's actually been, it was short, and quite after the request, and honestly can not be said that it is an effect in the experiment. Possible causes of the failure of the experiment: 1) A few user have read or complied with the experiment request. 2) The primary cause of the problem, the one that generates the offset, resists to the restart of wallet. 3) I got it all wrong. 4) The problem does not arise from "natural" causes. But if you look down at the track cyan, can be seen as an address that belongs to group B (for unknown reasons) at some time has corrected substantially its position to over zero, at least for some time. This would leave thinking that something can be done to correct the offset. All previous observations have been made by taking as the sole reference the blockchain's time. Today I made an observation in real time between the block-chain and a sure time reference, and the results with the inaccuracies due to a smaller set of data, confirm the general data and offset. I personally remain convinced of the initial hypothesis, despite everything. General recommendation, try to reduce as possible the offsets effect. We just have to find a way. Bye Bye |

is there difference of total coin rewards if you stake 24/7 vs just staking whenever you want to?
for example if the interest is 20% a year if i have 10000 coins then if i stake 24/7 i get 2000 and if i just stake from time to time i get less?
I don't know how it is supposed to be, but I can tell you that in practice it makes a lot of difference for me. If you have a lot of nav and can stake 24/7, do it Btw, the rich list has not been updated for ages The real practice confirm the BSPus observation on 24/7. On rich-list, having a indication which shows when was the last update made to the rich-list, IMHO it would be very useful. Hi Guys,
with your help, I would try a little experiment on the field, induce an event
and observe the reaction in blockchain, if any.
I selected a set of addresses, and I would kindly ask to their owners to do
a series of simple operations:
1) Close their wallet.
2) Make sure that the system time is correct (which never hurts).
3) Restart their wallet.
As you can see, these are things that you have done dozens of times before.
No need to wait for a precise time or wait time between steps, simply close
and restart your wallet, even if the wallet resides on a remote server.
If there will be some effect I can see him only with the passage of days,
so please be patient, we have a good workout in this.

Here is another little update, calculated from 2015-08-14 until today.  The average of the interval between the blocks, calculated on windows of 24 hours, still remains between the maximum peaks of 19 and minimum of 10 seconds. The average of the last weeks is approximately 13.5 seconds. Bye Bye |
