^^ Cavaliers could be one of the underrated team I guess. I remember that they somewhat goes up to 3rd to 4th place in the East and then Rubio got injured and so they've experience consecutive losses. And then they decided to get Rondo from the Lakers in replacement of Rubio and it works for them. The Bucks though seems to have a problem this month as they have been struggling to put up a great string of wins and even now on a losing skid.
They are an underrated team, but look what they are achieving right now.

Beating the defending champ with almost a full cast squad, it's only Lopez that isn't there aside from PJ Tucker who already being traded
to the heat. I see good performances from the whole Cavs squad. They are sharing and rotating as a team, very important trusting each
other and building a strong connection that will bind the chemistry of each player inside..
I think at this moment, they have a really good depth of their squad and this makes the rotations easier for the coach and as a result, everyone can stay afresh. 6 players hit the double-digit marker last game  Shocked and Kevin Love was amazing to watch. He was well supported by his fellow teammate Cedi Osman who scored 23 points 4 assists and 3 rebounds. I think they are really getting to know each other and their chemistry is also increasing.

It's a 4th road loss so it's not that bad yet. What's surprising is the Cavaliers gaining the 3rd spot in the East all of a sudden and they are not defeating just weak teams, they are also winning against Nets, Jazz, and now the Bucks with a full star roster playing. They don't even have Rubio and Markkanen yet and if just one of them comes back I am sure it will be a tougher team to beat. It's also the 5th home winning streak for the Cavs.
I'd love to see Kevin Love consistently making this amount of points contribution to the team. 20+ points per game, he did it for the last 2 games.
Cavs are on a great run and that too without a couple of their important players out of the squad. I didn't expect them to win against the Bucks who are the defending champions and if I'm not wrong they even won against the Nets in recent times. I think I'm very hopeful for them this season as they might reach newer heights this time.

There is priorities in life and Ramos doesn't joke about that. First achievement is getting a yellow card, second achievement is getting a red card. Getting that red card after just 5 minutes from the yellow card is another achievement imo. Now after checking the priority list comes scoring a goal Cheesy
A bit serious, I am happy for him and hopefully he will be useful for the team, same goes for Messi.

Ramos has currently scored as many goals for PSG in Ligue 1 as Messi  Cool
PSG's next match is away against Lille, a rare occasion as it will be a difficult match and the bookmakers believe that PSG will only win it with a 50% chance. I hope for an interesting game, and not the usual realization of the advantage that PSG has in terms of the strength of the team.

Regardless of Sergio Ramos's priorities, he does have the same amount of goals as Messi in this season Cheesy lol.

So looks like the emergency striker is not an emergency striker anymore Cheesy, maybe now he is a full-time striker.  Cool

Maybe the team would like to switch his position with Messi's. But on a serious note, I think that Messi should pick his game up and score some more goals. Then the team would look more threatening and will be starting to win convincingly.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 26, 2022, 10:12:49 AM
When we look at the last four seasons of the Premier League, we see that Manchester City became the champions for three times and Liverpool were the champions for only once. None of the remaining teams have been able to win the title. And this will be the case for this season too as it seems. Again, one of these teams will be the champions. But rather than seeing Manchester City, I would prefer seeing Liverpool reaching the title. I wouldn't like to see Manchester City turning into Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. It'd make the league too boring.
Although City dominated enough but what they achieved almost everything done untill a few match only or the end of the competition, and City's dominance never diminished the quality of the matches in the EPL, they remained the most competitive league and the competition between the clubs is very tight, but because you mention you prefer Liverpool to be champions then I too, but I try to realistic it seems like it will not happen this season.
Manchester City is still not very strong in winning the EPL title so far, if you compare it with Bayern Munich's achievements in the Bundesliga it is still not worth it. So far Manchester City have only won 2 titles in a row, have not been able to achieve 3 in a row like Manchester United in the past. So, with his achievements so far for Manchester City I personally still see him as a competitive team and don't dominate the league too much every season, the competition in the EPL is definitely more competitive with a lot of big teams in it.

I don't think comparing City in EPL with Bayern in the German league is fair. Just look at those teams in Germany bro.

No one comes close to Bayern except Dortmund a bit.

But in EPL there are at least 6 teams who are capable of winning the league. I really don't get how you are comparing EPL and the German league. Yes, United won 3 titles in a row but back then EPL wasn't this much competitive. Yes EPL had more star players, but they didn't have well-rounded teams like now.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 26, 2022, 09:52:31 AM
I only know that IPL pays huge money to players and others like BBL, PSL and BPL are no way near to IPL. Overseas players are turning down BBL offers may be because of attitude of Australian players and there backing by CA. I personally don't like how Aussies players behave with foreign players in BBL. Recently M Hasnain faced sledging from Aussie batsman which was fully backed by authorities.

I don't exactly know what happened to Hasnain, but these sort of incidents are reported from Australia very frequently. On top of that, Australia is in news recently for all the wrong reasons. We all know what happened to Novak Djokovic. All this, combined with lower player salaries and extended window makes BBL less attractive to the overseas players when compared to the other franchise T20 leagues such as the Pakistan Super League, Bangladesh Premier League and the Carribian Premier League.

I think the Djokovic incident may be a big factor in this case.
But overall the Australian Govt are strictly following the protocols of COVID which could also be a reason.

Another thing is that so many T20 leagues are being held at the same time period. And As BBL has a lower salary count, overseas players are attracted to other leagues such as IPL, BPL, or PSL because, at the end of the day, money does matter a lot.

I don't really think that nadal is the clear favorite in his semifinal against berrettini. I mean he just came back from an injury, we should not forget that. I saw his match against shapovalov and i have to say that nadal Was pretty lucky that he won that match. He was complete exhausted in the last 2 Sets and i think he really can thank shapovalov that he made so many easy and totally unneccesary return errors in the last Set otherwise i am pretty sure that nadal would have lost that match.
If he is able to get a quick 2-0 lead in Sets against berrettini too then i think nadal will win. If not it will be very hard for him.
I have high hopes for Shapovalov to win that match especially when he can make the match to 5 sets, not thinking that Nadal still has enough energy for this match but unfortunately Shapovalov is too insistent with his service so it becomes a lot of mistakes, that's the weakness of young players often wrong strategy in dealing with experienced players like Nadal.

Sinner vs Tsitsipas, Tsitsipas 2 sets ahead I think it's only going to last 3 sets, his game was very solid this time and Sinner still looked nervous even after 2 sets.

The match had ended and Nadal won the match. Shapovalov did good but it was not enough against the experience Nadal. He took every advantage he could take from Shapovalov's mistakes and in the last set, he won 6-3

And Tsitsipas got a clean sweep against Sinner as he won 3 straight sets and eventually the game. He won 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. A great show match from Tsitsipas. Looking forward to his more matches.

Morocco is controlling the match. But Malawi is more likely to win.
The score is 1-1 now at half time. Morocco to win after 90min is at 1.26, Malawi is at 26. If you really believe Malawi can come back to win, you should put your money on it Wink

Malawi has been playing defensively since score the first goal. It is very annoying to enjoy such defensive gameplay. However, despite playing defensively, they were not able to defend themselves. They conceded a goal in 45 + 2 minutes and drew 1-1 for the first time. From Malawi's gameplay, I understand that if they try and score more goals in the second half they will concede a few more goals.

Senegal vs Cape Verde
In this match I bet for Senegal. Because I know there are some star players in the Senegal team. Sadio Mane is Senegal's striker, he is a key player in the Liverpool team. Idrissa Gana Gueye and Abdou Diallo are playing at PSG. Bouno Sarr is a defender of Bayern Munich. With so many good players, I expect Senegal to win today's match.
Senegal made just three shots in the first half, none of which were on target. Cape Verde made no attack. They probably want to draw with zero goals.

Peter Siddle has urged the Australian cricket board to shorten the BBL window. According to him, a lot of overseas players are turning down offers from the BBL, because it is the second longest franchise league (after the IPL). But I don't agree with his suggestion. The BBL is also one of the largest leagues, with 8 franchises (compared to 6 each for CPL and Hundred). If they cut down the duration, then the broadcasters are not going to be happy. If they want to attract overseas players, then they need to increase the salaries (which remains much lower than what they have in BPL or the PSL).

@Sithara007 as a player he can put forth his views, but will it be accepted by the board I don’t think so because they need to keep the broadcasters happy as you rightly said. Lastly the only way his request could be accepted is if the board found a way to increase the revenues in the revised format, but chances of that happening are rare hence in all likelihood his request will be rejected.

To be honest, in my opinion, Peter Siddle said that because he wants the best for cricket. Playing with overseas players is obviously a very good experience which can come in handy even in the international stages.

But I think we all can agree that this is not going to happen. Just because of the things that were already mentioned. Maybe time to make the BBL more attractive?
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 24, 2022, 11:27:45 AM
Čilić was playing well - but if you lose both tie-breaks you will eventually lose the match. Aliassime was better in the key moments and in tennis that is often the difference.

I knew that this is going to be a close match, and I'm predicting a 5 set match. But FAA really played very well in the 3rd set and then close out Čilić in another tie-break.

I'm most looking forward to Nadal - Shapovalov, Shapovalov was fantastic against Zverev. I will go as far as to consider him a favorite.

With the way Nadal is playing right now, he will still be the favorite against Shapovalov here. Maybe another 3 sets win for Nadal.

Tsitsipas vs Fritz still very close in the 3rd set, no breaks yet. score 3-3, might go for a tie break.

Firstly I have to congratulate Aliassime for getting the win. I haven't chance to watch the match, but from the score, I can say that even though Aliassime had a bad start to the match, he recovered quite well and eventually took the match away from Cilic.

On the other hand, Shapolov seems on a good knock and I think I won't be exaggerating if I said that he might have the edge over Nadal in the upcoming match.

The battle for the last CL spot will really be interesting, we have 4 teams in 2 points. I thought United was safe in top 4 at the beginning of the season but both Arsenal and Tottenham look more likely to get it based on recent performances.

I think the fourth team in the points table will be Manchester United. We have so far despised the United team. Despite having many star players, their performance was irregular due to poor tactics. But if their strategy is right, the coach can fulfill his responsibilities properly, then Manchester United is able to perform well against any strong. Chelsea's performance is now quite irregular. If they do not stabilize very quickly they will go further down the points table.

PSV Eindhoven     vs      Ajax

The biggest match of the league is being held now. PSV and Ajax fight every year to win the title. This year we are seeing the same thing. The point difference between PSV and Ajax is only 1. The team that wins today will be at the top of the points table. But I don't expect it to be a very competitive match. Because, the main goal of both teams will be not to concede goals. Probably both teams will play defensive today. However, Ajax had won the previous match between the two teams 5-0.
Ajax lead 1-0 at half-time in the top match, with slightly better passing accuracy and possession. Feyenoord also won in a superior manner and remains close to Ajax and PSV. Very good, the league remains exciting, even if I think the title will be decided between Ajax and PSV, with an advantage for Ajax.

Ajax played better than PSV in the match and they were able to win the match 2-1. They have attacked more than PSV. With 3 points in this match, Ajax is now 2 points ahead of PSV. Ajax managed to reach the top of the table. I believe Ajax can win the title this season if key players will not be injured. Their team is consistent enough. Ajax will be the champions this season without any accidents.

More and more leagues will be held I'm just worried about the fitness of the players and also, maybe the euphoria that will be there will not be as exciting as it used to be. The World Cup event will be held next year and so will the UEFA Nations League, this makes the match schedule even tighter and even from several teams currently there are many injured players coupled with the current condition which is still worrying about the covid19 outbreak. I'm just worried that this will be very chaotic in the future but yes, hopefully the main thing is that I hope that the situation from this pandemic is quickly resolved first so that all planning for this soccer event goes well and goes normally as scheduled.
I agree with you. I don't think the teams will give too much importance to the UEFA Nations League, it'll be considered as a slightly more competitive friendly tournament. The FIFA World cup and the Euro will remain the big tournaments I think

@hahay, You are right. A player from Barcelona, I'm not sure who it is, it could either be Busquets or Pique, he said that the federation wants to hold WC every 2 years.
What he meant was the higher authority is wanting the players to play more matches without caring about their health. The same case here, more international matches (be it less important) mean more duty for the players which makes them prone to injury.

On top of that they are shopping Westbrook now, or at least that is what was talked about on Reddit, and Rockets were interested in him.
So what's gonna happen, will they trade John Wall for Westbrook again?
This is too funny if it's going to happen but it's all business in the NBA at the end of the day. Both of them have almost similar contracts so the deal makes sense in that regard.

It would benefit Rockets since they can at least use a player they are paying on games.

Lakers could try something new since pairing WB with Lebron and AD isn't really working for them. John Wall could hit some shots from mid-range or long-range at least and they need that.

I think it would be a win for everyone in my eyes.

Firstly, NBA is now a business first and a sport second.
So these types of trades will happen now and then. And I think both the rockets and Lakers will benefit from this trade. WB hasn't been playing that well lately with the Lakers and maybe he could do with a change to his team and teammates.
The Lebron - Westbrook duo doesn't seem like they are clicking with each other and their chemistry is not that good and that was visible on the pitch. Also, the Rockets could do well with WB in my opinion, so I think it's worth a shot for both teams.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 22, 2022, 03:40:32 PM
Cadiz won 2-0 against Levante. Now they are in the 17th position of the table. But I think Cadiz will be able to qualify for La Liga next season. Cadiz's gameplay is better than teams like Mallorca and Getafe. Levante are now 20th on the table. And their collection is only 11 points. They are the weakest team in the league.

Villarreal is now playing against Mallorca. By gaining 3 points in this match, Villarreal will be able to rise two or 3 steps above the points table. If Villarreal is able to score 3 points in this match, maybe the position will be in the sixth place of the table.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 22, 2022, 12:03:01 PM
The odds payout for Freiburg to win the match in full time against Stuttgart is @1.95, I think the odds payout offered by the bookmakers on Freiburg is quite high as Freiburg will be playing this match at their home stadium. With this odds payout offered, I guess this match will have a high chance to ends up with a draw.

Odds seems ok to me,
Freiburg vs Stuttgart is going to be a high-stakes match for both teams because Stuttgart needs to get out of the relegation zone and with this when they can do that but of course, they need to win this. Because their opponent Freeburg is also going to be really motivated to win this match, as a wean for them can boost their standings from potentially to the third place from the sixth place because the points difference is very low with the team which is ahead of them.

And if we talk about a prediction I think Freiburg is going to win because they are simply the better team.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 22, 2022, 11:12:07 AM
India lost the second match, as well as the ODI series. I don't know who to blame, the pitch was good for batting. India did a well start but KL Rahul has given a lot of dot balls while he was trying to build a long partnership with Rishabh Pant. This match would be more competitive if India scored above 300 runs. Indian bowlers are also in poor form now. Seems like India will be whitewashed by South Africa in the ODI series.
I would not be surprised if India will win the last match but it will be of no use. India lost the test and the ODI series against the team which is not one of the best teams in recent times. Both the batsmen and bowlers were not able to show any strength against SA. I think India needs to forget about this series and think on how they can improve and avoid the current mistakes.
After losing test series now they lost ODI series as well without any big trouble South African outclass India in all fields and change of captaincy is also having some big impact on Indian player's performance just Pant was in good touch all others were completely out of way Kohli is also losing confidence management need to give him some time for having positive comeback into team.
To be honest Indian cricket board needs to get their shit together. Because they performed really in an underwhelming way against South Africa. And from my point of view, that is not the players' fault. Under certain situations, even the greatest players can crack. And that is what happened here. We all know that the vibe is not good in the team. And there are more deserving captains who should have captained the team. Right now players' morale is slow and something needs to change pretty soon.

Moreover, Indian players must need some rest as well because having very tough schedule is also having some bad impact on their performance they need to have some good number of changes for test matches and other formats which give some good rest to players those are playing without any break for long time Bhuve is also having very bad time as he is still very good bowler but recently some good number of voices coming against him for having some better performance.
With that said I also think that the Indian team also needs a break. At least until they fix these problems. And with the rise of 'omicron' cases all around the world, there should be a stoppage in cricket for quite a long time I suppose. So it's in their best interest is there fix all of the insidious problems during that time.

Due to a series of losing points, St.Pauli will soon lose their top spot after a long absence. They have lost 2 out of last 4 matches and drawn 2 matches. No other team in the top 5 of the points table has performed so poorly. Darmstadt is heading for the top spot on the table. And if they win the next match, they will be 2 points ahead of Pauli.
Humburger in third place in the points table and Regensburg in eighth place in the points table are only 3 points apart. The position of the parties may change at any time.

Does anyone find out about Bangladesh Premier League(BPL)? BPL has started today and now I am enjoying the second match of BPL. Dhaka is now batting against Khulna. At the end of 13 overs, Dhaka collected 109 runs. Opener Tamim Iqbal is still unbeaten on 50 off 41 balls. Dhaka will be able to collect at least 60 runs in 7 more overs. If they can give more than 160 targets, maybe Dhaka will be able to win this match.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 21, 2022, 09:37:14 AM
India is going through a very difficult time now. The players are consistently playing badly, and from the board, all the players are under some mental pressure. Kohli has relinquished his captaincy. KL Rahul is now the new captain. He is not succeeding anywhere in captaincy and batting. Fans in India will definitely want to see a better innings from Rahul in this match.
I will take the risk of betting for India today. I want to take this risk even if India's odd's is low. I don't think India will make the same mistakes in today's match as in the previous one.
After winning the toss, India captain KL Rahul decided to bat. If the top order is successful, India will be able to give a big target. Because Iyer and Ashwin don't seem to be in good form now. It would be foolish to expect more from them. With a target of less than 280 runs on this pitch, India will not be able to win today. Because the pitch is batting friendly at the same time, the Indian bowlers could not do well in the previous match except Bumrah. So today if India wants to win or dominate the match then they must give more than 300 targets.
At the end of 4 overs, India collected 26 runs without losing a wicket

@Minor Minor, Looks like you're going to lose the bet today. India have lost two of their key batsmen. However, KL Rahul still survives at the crease.
India also lost their first wicket for 63 runs in 11.4 overs. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for 29 off 36 balls. Virat Kohli returned to the dressing room with zero runs. The expectations of the team from Rahul and Kohli are always higher. However, if Rahul can't play well today, and if they lose more wickets before 20 overs then I guess India will lose this match too.
