I completely missed the group stage of IEM Sydney, not used to the difference from the usual EU/NA tournaments match time. Seems we got some upsets and interesting results there: Vitality not winning a single match, also BetBoom and Complexity made it to playoffs. Must be caused by CS2 and MR12 changes.

The odds for today's playoff matches are interesting, almost equal with ENCE and Complexity as the slight favorite. Guess the market still have a lot of uncertainty with the teams performance in CS2. I'll bet on ENCE and BetBoom, my first CS2 watching experience will be enjoyable.
This is exactly why Complexity won their playoff match today against G2 Esports knocking them out with a 2-0 win.
G2 didn't know how to respond to the new format when Complexity were up 7-5 at the half then won the following two pistol rounds getting them to 9-5. Once it got to 11-7 they were only two rounds away from the victory when G2 is still imagining they still have time to mount a comeback but you have already run out of money at this point to even start one.
Faze clan easily dispatched MOUZ Esports with a dominating 2:0 win aswell.

So the Grand Finals are all setup for tomorrow with Faze against Complexity for the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: October 21, 2023, 04:31:17 PM
^^
That is some huge news to drop from a case that the whole entire cryptocurrency space has been waiting to hear about the result too.
SEC dropped the legal case against the founders of ripple but there has been news that Gary Gensler can still appeal at a later date. So it is sort of a mute point since it doesn't mean much if SEC decides to go this route.
The cryptocurrency markets did respond to it when it initially was released a couple of days ago but has recessed a bit now of hearing such an appeal can still be in the works.
It is stalling tactic that the SEC and Gary is known for so don't be fooled.

Great post @rohang as I had already mentioned on the Sportsbet.io UFC discussion thread:
This UFC 294 Main Event will be the biggest one of the year!
The Ceremonial weigh-ins are about to begin and the link to the face-offs are on the above mentioned thread.
So those who are interested in the UFC and MMA scene don't want to miss this event happening at Abu Dhabi within about the next 24 hours!

@ralle14 Was that MOTD for euro basketball because the score needed to be over 157.5pts. Don't usually bet on that kind of basketball because they have different rules than the NBA&WNBA.

Today's Sportsbet Special is for a league we are all familiar with and that is the Bundesliga!
I have noticed some action being discussed here by @owengtam09 so i am taking a wild guess and going to say they have also noticed the interest in the league and have delivered!

Something came up and it looks like Usman's knee just popped.  This is according to this Twitter post https://twitter.com/Sa_Gwang/status/1714670633798324417
Gaethej confirmed this too.

A bummer to see there will be a fight to cancel and apparently it's the one that we have been anticipating. Less than a week of notice seems not possible. If they however going to push through with Usman vs Khamzat, it's really an odd that we have not seen before against the top fighter.
Seemed to be a nothing burger because he was at the press conference and looked alright and also did the weigh-ins for this event which just ended about 3 hours ago so we will be having all mentioned fights on this card finally confirmed and accounted for.

UFC 294: Live Weigh-In Show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUwKoYPdzBU
Two fighters missed weight. One being the one I had a screencap of when the fight card was announnced:
Viktoriya Dudakov - She can not shed 6 lbs so she will give part of her purse instead so the fight with Frey will go on.
https://www.mmafighting.com/2023/10/20/23924939/ufc-294-weigh-in-results-islam-makhachev-alexander-volkanovski-official-rematch-one-fighter-misses

As a precaution UFC also has Mateusz Gamrot weigh-in even if he is not on the card but as a backup fighter which Dana White had mentioned weeks ago if Oliveira or Islam pulled out which happened but Alexander took the fight on such short notice.
https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2023/10/ufc-294-video-islam-makhachev-vs-charles-oliveira-mateusz-gamrot-backup-fighter

We still have the Ceremonial weigh ins to see before this major UFC Main Event kicks off for this weekend happening in less than an hour!

Faze clan beat Navi in lack luster fashion when I had a glance of the final rounds of the third map. They were up 9-7 and took the pistol round so went on too their 11th round. So you would think they would easily finish it off with only 1 round to go. But Navi took the next 3 rounds.
Yeah kinda expected since S1mple had to be substituted by B1ad3. Actually quite surprised they are still able to win some maps against FaZe and Mouz
I had also missed the playoff matches yesterday because of the timezone difference. Just as I was going to bed I saw BetBoom was just taking the stage to go up against Complexity. They lost when i got up to head out to work.
Actually both teams went a solid 2-0 with Faze taking out ENCE in similar fashion so now we have the outline on how the semis will playout for tomorrow:
G2 vs Complexity
MOUZ vs Faze

Then the Grand Finals come Sunday or very early in the morning Saturday for those who are also in the Americas timezone.

Ohh , long have we waited this day bro ? DOTA 2 IS BACK <3 !
Spirit vs VP and I have a feeling that VP will snatch 1 map from TS and push the series to 3 maps.
Liquid vs Talon , ez 3 maps right ? 23savage will find a way to win at least 1 map.
LGD vs 9 Pandas should be the game of the night where really anything can happen between these 2 teams.
Nouns vs Azure Ray , is that type of the series where the underdog kinda beats the favorite right ?
Bring it on! It has been along time so we are all ready for it.

This is some amazing news for the F1 Academy and it also is important to mention they have announced that all races in this women's F1 driving will be fully televised starting new year for their 2024 season.
Where they have been only showing highlights of each of the races having been taking place. Which I found strange as well.
So each race only was shown for roughly 25-30 minutes or less and only available online.

With the debacle of friend-tech recently, the cryptocurrency users of these nft-based rewards blockchains have seen how maniacal the whole & entire space can become.
As anyone can see the nft marketplace has also suffered and is not going to recover to what they were a few months ago.
Same will occur with these ordinals inscribed on the bitcoin blockchain.
They are just a passing fad and with recent events had been confirmed of adding no substance to cryptocurrency as a whole.

We have F1 returning this weekend at the circuits of the Americas in Austin Texas with a couple of sprint races.
So anticipate another few unexpected results with Max already closing out his season.

Tomorrow guys Game 4 of the WNBA finals.
The score is 2-1 with Las Vegas Aces in the lead and they need just one more win to end this series and be the 2023 WNBA Champions. But, they will still be playing in the New York Liberty homecourt and it won't be an easy task to steal the game from them.

Here are the odds for the game tomorrow.

New York Liberty  - | Moneyline @1.42 | -5.5 @1.88 |
Las Vegas Aces - | Moneyline @2.65 | +5.5 @1.82 |

Suddenly the Liberty are the favorites even after they were the underdogs in Game 3. The reason is Chelsea Gray. In game 3 she hurt her foot and tried to shake it off but she couldn't.
Checking the injury reports, she is listed as "out". So, I'd be careful if you are rooting for the Aces to close this one. The odds offer is sweet but it's a big disadvantage for the Aces. Gray has a big impact on the Aces from her playmaking to the mid-range shooting that she perfected, it will be a different floor for the Aces without her.

Good luck everyone.
The odds are highly in the New York Liberty's favor due to that injury to the Las Vegas Aces superstar player Chelsea Gray as I seen her hobbling from the bench to the locker room late in the 4th quarter from game 3.
If they manage to tie up the series 2-2 then it could flip back in the Aces favor since they will be playing back in Vegas for game 5 and the deciding matchup to see who will be champions of this best of 5 series.

Didn't think it would swing this way but in basketball it sometimes always comes down to certain key players for them to go on having those teams in winning the title in the finals.
The thing is I remember the announcer saying the Aces couldn't sub in anymore players and Plum had to stay in to play out the rest of the match since all they were left were starters on the bench.

Lillard is still struggling in the preseason. In the game against OKC, they lost by 23 points, even after winning two big games earlier. He's shooting 2-11 and only managed to score 5 points in 24 minutes of play. I don't know anymore; it really feels like the system is taking a toll on his stats. His three-point shooting has been really off, with no makes out of 5 attempts.

The Bucks need to sort this out early since the regular season hasn't even kicked off. Hopefully, they'll find a way to get the old Lillard back and make some major adjustments if needed. After all, they brought Lillard in for a reason, and if they can't maximize his potential, I'm worried they might end up with the same fate as last season in the playoffs, or maybe even worse.
I don't believe he is completely comfortable playing with this team and the other players just yet. So this feeling out period is still needed because those numbers are quite poor to say the least for the amount of money they paid for him.
Seeing him in green just didn't feel right to me as I was a Blazers fan and will always see him in red.
Will wait and see next week if things will improve when the regular season kicks off on the 24th.

This is what I don't quite like about the MR12 format. It does seem to be shorter and highly unlikely to produce exciting CS battles with overtime.

The biggest fight so far this year is arriving UFC 294 not soon enough for some coming over the weekend!

I was thinking about adding the 49ers to my slip 💀...but decided against it. With the injuries to McCaffrey and Deebo, as well as the missed game-winning FG, i'm sure folks who had the 49ers in their survivor pools, or parlays are now beyond pissed. I didn't see it coming.
Good job on avoiding a bullet from the 49ers. The bookies are probably cashing in on that upset when i've seen so many bettors share their parlays that include the 49ers.
I'm still going for the same betbuilder play (alternate handicap+ total) because I still like the under for this match but on a slightly higher number in case the Bills' offense can't be stopped.
If the Bills won then people were thinking all this was going according to some sort of script for the NFL or something. Just kidding of course.
But having the two only undefeated teams lose on the some day and then the best team in the east going down the following evening match would make any bettor who had nearly dead even odds on these matches question what was going on over the weekend in the NFL.

Really good choice in your bet for MNF as I was backing the Chargers if I had put in a bet since the match from last week still left me doubting Dak and the Cowboys intentions this season.

So good call on the spread ralle14!

The last 5 races of the season start this weekend, I just checked (I'm already too far behind to get any further) but the TOP10 at Superbru are close together and with a bit of luck anyone can still win.

Anyway, it was the first time for me to take part in such a betting game, even if I won't be able to get much further ahead this year, I still hope that this game will be back next year and that I will make an effort this year and with a bit of luck get a bit further ahead.
The top 10 in the F1 pool for the forum are indeed very tightly packed together in points and it will come down to these five final races since we had a few races cancelled during the season so it does make it harder to catch up in the standings.
Yes, it is fun to participate in these forum pools and it is a bit of a bonus if you end up winning something at the end.
Just as long there are enough interest associated with them as shown in the number of entrants will they continue to have them sponsored thus having entry available at the start of each season.

While we're off for a few days with Dota 2 games. Who is watching now the match on CS2 - IEM Sydney, Lynn Vision against Cloud 9? C9 took 2 maps against LV.
Also live now is ENCE and Fnatic.
Saw a bit of these Intel Masters series late Sunday evening since they are Australia it was Monday morning.
Watched the trailer for this tournament it being the first major to transition to full source 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtxxF0W1tI0

Watched a few maps during day one and still not use to MR12 but it does speed up maps.
Wondering now if they decided to change to this format of maximum rounds so not need games go into overtime. Still haven't watched enough of teamplay to make it a valid enough argument if this is where they were directing the use of this method for gameplay.

Here are the opinions of source2 from some of the professional players to CounterStrike:

^^ Nice looking betslip and it looks like it will win cause the Bills are looking solid just like the Dolphins.

You were lucky enough to leave off the 49ers and now the Eagles who just lost to the Jets after Hurts had another interception with under 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
So now there are no undefeated teams in the NFL anymore after the New York Jets beating them for the first time in franchise history. Which found it hard to believe when I first heard it but there you have it.

But right now I really don't know what may happen if USADA splits with the UFC but for sure the UFC has ready themselves and announced that they will have their personal Drug testing for their fighters.
You were right! They did already announce they would be going with another drug testing organization.
Drug Free Sport International, the same ones who do the testing of athletes from the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball and the NCAA and others.

Here is the article I read up on this which will begin for the new year when their contract with USADA ends:
UFC creates its own drug-testing program in wake of split with USADA over McGregor
https://www.foxsports.com/articles/ufc/ufc-creates-its-own-drugtesting-program-in-wake-of-split-with-usada-over-mcgregor

Edson Barbosa looks very muscular but he is 37 years old. It's kind of a fair fight, the event is not for a title fight this is sort of a regular fight night.
Barbosa acted like an experienced fighter and did not let the first round near K.O deter him and went on to win the fight.
It was one of those fight nights which anything could happen and did.
Jonathan Martinez after his win against Yanez even called out Merab which nobody really expected because before tonight I never really seen him fight.
Jonathan Martinez Octagon Interview | UFC Vegas 81
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8ZcghuIkqc

The biggest upset for me was the co-main event where Viviane Araujo defeated Jennifer Maia.
There was a betslip I viewed from one of those UFC experts who had every single fight predicted corrected expect for this one. She looked very bad in this fight and it will affect her rankings for a title shot.
