This may not be of interest besides the name but Scottie Pippen Jr. has been waived by the Lakers. He wasn't able to make most of the opportunity given to him and I think the preseason game against the Bucks had a big role in the management's decision since he played quite poorly. 

That's just the way it is, if you don't have something to put on the table, you are out because everyone has their own contribution to the team, and since the Lakers is a championship team, their standards are high. Therefore, he should really work hard because his competitors are not gonna miss some chance to prove their worth and they have been practicing a lot so when they are given a chance to showcase their talent, they execute it well and impress their team.

I don’t know… I’m not all that sold on the Lakers roster. Pippen Jr just isn’t good enough to be in the NBA. The Lakers gave him and Shaq’s son a try out of respect but neither of them were ever going to get real minutes on the floor. It’s things like this that make a franchise popular with players though. Loyalty is always big.

Herro had an hand injury if I am not mistaken, it was broken finger or something like that, can't remember what he broke but it was a broken something in his hand. That is going to be a tough one, I am sure that he is doing alright but it may not be always that great, when you break a bone, even cold weather could make it hurt, even after getting better, it is not gong to be the same.

Yup, he's got it.

Everyone knows his potential and would love to see him grow together with the Heat. But we don't know when an injury gets him badly but hopefully there won't be that much of it.

I even think that if he's there during the finals against Nuggets, there can be some bit of upgrade from the performance while him is inside playing with Jimmy.

But that's it and it's done and looking forward for the opening of this season. We're just about to see the ending of this preseason within the next days, immaright?

On paper.  These guys have to play a large chunk of games.  Without lebron amd/or AD out there the team is rudderless.  That's the story with a lot of the teams that are built like this with star vets.  Can they stay on the court will decide how theor season will go.  NBA is just too harsh to bet on that so I'm still thinking Lakers are a playin type team.  Maybe squeeze in the 5 or 6 hole but there are definitely better teams than them in the west.

They are the main star of the team so expect that heavy minutes are for them and if they get injured expect that Lakers will get heavily affected since their design plays are for there stars. For sure there's a lot of adjustment will happen on their absence so they need to stay healthy so they can survive the heavily stack Western conference this season. To many teams are more stronger than Lakers remember that Nuggets core still intact and Suns have good addition in presence Beal which is a high scoring player.

West will be more exciting again and we can't predict on which team will win the championship for next season.

I watched a little bit of the NBA basketball preseason in between watching the Monday Night Football game last night.  I can't believe that we are already at the pre-season mark for the NBA as well as the NHL having already starting.

I can't wait to see how the Chicago Bulls do coming out of the gate.  No Ball is still quite depressing and I hope he starts to make progress but I feel he may be done for good.

I just wait until the regular season to come as well as the in-season tournament and what might be excited to watch would be on West C and East B, (I've been doing some bets already even it's only the preseason). For West C we have that two 7 footers Victor and Chet and they are fun to watch even in their preseason match just recently, flexing how they dominate the court. For East B, I think it would be excited to watch Bucks and Heat. I wish he will recover, what a waste of a young rising star if he'll be gone for good tbh.

The Bulls lost against the Nuggets, and the difference was pretty noticeable. Of course, I also should mention that this was a preseason game. So probably we should not think much about it. The next preseason match for them is against the Raptors, n it is ongoing now. to be honest, I am not very much excited about these preseason matches. I will actually give my time to watch some games after the season starts.

Watched the Suns game, between Durant and Beal and obviously Booker, they have a very good offensive team but I am feeling like they are going to have a huge problem come playoff time with their defense. They do not really have a proper defensive player. I am not saying get JJJ for that team, which they can't that would be way too much, but they really needed some defensive players here and there so that those players would cover some ground. I still do not completely understand why they wanted to get rid of CP3, he would have fit that team like glove, he would be their point guard and would feed everyone and would be great defensively for them too.

I don't usually give merits in this thread knowing that posts like this are very common (I might've did some nonsense posts here in the past), but making me laugh deserves a merit.

Being waived isn't the same as being banned from the NBA.

This is almost the same situation as Miles Bridges. Domestic violence, got banned for a year, and now he's coming banned (though not at the start of the regular season). For KPJ's case, he just got traded, then waived, but isn't banned in the league, so basically other teams can still get him... or not knowing that the league isn't tolerating this kind of violence against women. I don't think that he will come back at least this season. Next season maybe? Well, the GM of the Rockets said though that he's already banned "FROM THE ROCKETS" only.

Nevertheless, he's one of the players by the Rockets that's developing, but one mistake changed everything. It's sad to see yes, but I think it's the correct decision, or the reputation of the league will be affected negatively.

Acquiring Victor Oladipo doesn't seem like the right move to me. Oladipo's not the same player he used to be; he's been battling injuries and didn't make as much money as he could have after turning down that max deal from the Pacers, if I remember correctly.

Now, as for Kevin Porter Jr., he might be out for the season, but looking at his stats with 19.2 points per game, which was an improvement from the last season, I don't see why no team would want him. Don't forget, he's still young at 22 years old, so we can definitely expect more from him in the future.

Honestly, after I watched that game I'm starting to think again that the Suns may have secured their ticket in the Finals. But then again, that's just a regular season let's see what they'll bring come the regular season.

I think it's one criticism against Kevin Durant, but when he was with the Warrior, he try to improved his defensive skills, got some chase down blocks and really didn't sleep on defense as compare to the likes of let's say James Harden. Even against one of the great defender in Pat Bev, they have some scuffle and Durant is not going to back down. Yes, those 3 are lethal scorers and it remind us of his Warriors day with Klay, him and Steph. But we will see in the regular games, they still need to play tough defense it they wanted to win. And what kind of adjustments they will have if let's say one of their offensive weapon got in early foul trouble and how the opposing team will take advantage of them since there's no Ayton to man in the middle.

I think it's more of his age, and in his last season with the Suns, he was injured and so the team had a hard time in the playoffs even though they already have Durant that time. Chris though has put in some impressive numbers with the Suns, going all the way to the finals. But they lack the experience back then that's why they didn't win. And in the next season, they set a record for the franchise if I'm not mistaken for the number of win in a regular season. But still they fell short again in the second round. And then last year it was a disaster for him as he got injured. And then they have to let go of their coach as well. So maybe the new management wanted a fresh start and so they have to let go of CP3.

Chet and Victor would not be such a big factor for their respective teams' performance this season I would say, perhaps, more so for OKC than San Antonio Spurs because OKC already have such an incredible squad with SGA, Josh Giddey, and Jalen William, the latter, who seemed to have improved a lot during this pre season and he's been a such very good choice defensively too, so despite the addition of Chet being a complement to squad and bringing about a better dynamism to the roster, a lot of the teams' play would still have to go through SGA and Giddey. As for Victor I really don't have a perfect picture of how the season would turnout for him, but then I think the hype and the expectation might be too much for him for his first season in the NBA.

Things have taken a sudden turn for Lillard. This guy could drop 50 points in a game with his incredible 3 point shooting, but it looks like he's still struggling. Despite getting decent minutes, he hasn't been able to make the right adjustments to make his team look more exciting.

If his struggles persist, and his performance doesn't improve, Giannis might have to carry the team on his shoulders, which is no small feat, considering he's done it in the past. But I doubt it will come to that point, because Lillard is a born competitor. He won't allow himself to play at a lower level, which is the exact opposite of what he did back in Portland.

Adjusting to the new team may take some time for Lillard but definitely the Bucks is one the teams to beat with Lillard's addition to the team. Lillard and Giannis' pick and roll play will be deadly once that machine start rolling with two shooting guards waiting in the wings for the kick-out pass as every now and then someone is going to be open for that open rainbow shot.

The only cons i see of Lillard's addition to the Bucks is his defense. We all knew that he is a liability when it comes to that department so i'm thrilled on how the coaching staff solve that problem.
