1.5% fee to Cast dev .
1.0% fee to Nanopool
2.5% total
Example:
If i earned $1,038/month ,, $27  goes to  cast+nanopool
right ?

Cast doesnt take directly 1.5% of your earnings, but nanopool does.

How are you guys getting sub 50C temps hashing 2k on Vega 56s?  Are you blowing freezing air on them or something?  I'm at 68-70C doing 2k at room temperature and with a 120mm 5 fan array cooling.

Some of my Vegas hover low 50's while a couple are high 60's under full load @1408/1100.  Either its silicone lottery or just inferior thermal grease/pads.

So to clarify, Vega rigs need to run Win10 as of the moment?

No one is running on linux?

Correct, if you want 1900+ h/s then you need windows 10 + blockchain drivers., and a lot of finessing.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY Rig...Issues installing windows on: November 22, 2017, 06:42:11 AM
So this should be the easiest part of getting my rig setup..but for some reason when I try to install windows it tells me there are no drivers. I have an SSD plugged into the mobo and PSU and windows on a USB stick...can anyone think of why it wouldnt let me select a place to install windows to? thanks

Do you see the drive in your BIOS?  You might have to configure some boot options in your BIOS.

While certainly impressive and great work, what exactly is the benefit of the tent, couldn't you just use the same setup without the tent? Is it for a more efficient air flow? I'm wondering since I thought these tents are mainly used to increase the heat.

Grow tents localize the heat which you can then vent outside.  It is just a better way to manage eat without heating up the entire room.  You can take it a step further and modify them with sound deadening material as well.

The 9 slot board with PCI compute card - now together with the minions at the GPU farm.

Its still with smOS, so I will settle for ~480-490 sol/s with 200/700/120w with EWBF for now.

Tytanick says he will include the dstm miner in the coming build so will wait for that and bump the watts to 150w hopefully that will result in above 500 sols/s per card.

This board looks nice.  You have just enough room between cards they they can breath without having to use passive coolers and push pull case fans.

I thought it was important to never open or use Wattman with the vegas?

hellae

i have some questions for you or anyone who's familiar with this card

I installed 5 vega 56. flashed them and in the windows registry, instead of seeing just 0000, 0001 to 0005, I see 12 folders 0000, 0001 to 0011.

some of the folders mention rx vega but I didn't check all of them.

I ran DDU twice and i still see 4-5 folders and except for 0000, the other folders contain just 1 line of generic info.

if i still see 12 folders again, Do i still run the reg mod file and edit the target folders for 0001 to 0011?

Easiest way to identify which ones to flash is under device manager.  Right click the GPU you want to look at and select properties > Details tab > scroll down to Driver Key.

Looks like this.

The important part is resetting the GPU's to default in wattman after you have used the registry edit on all of them and rebooted.

Here is another informative site to help.

Depends which route you take.  I prefer OverdiveNTool and not even install amd software, but most people start off with wattman.

831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 12x 1080 TI Mining Rig Build (8300 sols) on: November 19, 2017, 10:23:43 AM

Cryptonight on Vega is very high profitability right now, if you can get your Vega doing the frequently quoted 1800-2000 hashrate ballpark (this seems to require use of Windows 10 or PERHAPS LINUX, though I wonder how you get the cards to undervolt enough in LINUX to support higher core clocks without overheating or exceeding TDP).
Forget trying it on Windows 7, even though AMD *CLAIMS* the blockchain driver works on 7 it does not work AT ALL in every attempt I've made to get it working - either constant crashyness on known good hardware, or doesn't recognize the GPUs at all.

The $399 price point for Vega 56 seems to have been a VERY short lived abberation - 2 or 3 days at most.

I have 2 x 64s (Sapphires) and 2 x 56s (GA) coming next week -- so whats my chances of getting these to work on WIN10 ?

Good - and at this point that is your ONLY choice for getting high performance out of them, as AMD is being VERY VERY SLOW about getting Vega support working in AMD-GPU Pro for LINUX.

After much pain and tribulation, I DID finally my 56 to run at high speed on XMR - using Cast as I'm pointing the miner at Nicehash for now and XMR-Stak STILL does not support Nicehash.
It's a major pain having to "disable" and "enable" the card after EVERY BOOT to get it to do high speeds though, but nothing else I tried out to get it to work right gets the job done.

Usage of Afterburner vs usage of JunkWattman doesn't seem to matter - neither support undervolt on the blockchain driver, and otherwise they're more or less equal about getting stuff configured (except that Afterburner STILL blows Wattman away on fan control, NO CONTEST, and is just overall easier to use and work with by a TON).

Sapphire Vega RX 56, not BIOS flashed (though Cast identifies it as having 64 compute units ANYWAY), runs about 1940 hash/s at -10 TDP 940 memclock and core downclocked in Afterburner to 1400 (or -10% core on Junkman).
Didn't play much with the settings, as it seems like adjusting them CAUSES the hashrate to back down to the under 1400 range every time I tried until the "uninstall/reinstall" trick is done AGAIN.
I also noticed that adjusting the settings caused the memory clock to reset to 800 Mhz and NOT BE FURTHER ADJUSTABLE a lot of the time - which contributes to the low hashrate issue.

Not sure how long I'm going to put up with this very unstable BUGGY AS HECK setup, as I have another use I'd like to put the card back to.

I can verify that Cast doesn't seem to CARE about that "HBCC" setting in Wattman - if I had this whole mess to do over again, I'd install JUST the driver and nothing else in the hopes of eliminating some of the buggyness.

832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is "whattomine.com" owned by Nicehash?? ALwasy on TOP but this scam pays shit on: November 19, 2017, 12:49:50 AM
I always wonder like right now for a 6-1060-6 rig NICEhash-equi say's $13/day,

Now I have tried both on zen.suprnova.cc right now if I mine, I get $12, just like they say ( actually I'm getting $18/day today )

But on Nicehash, I get about 0.0001 BTC ( account gimmick per day ), the payout everyday at 5pm, but my 0.001, is never over the 0.0015 they require, so my earnings for that day dissapear, after 'x' days I quit no payout,

They say you can provide your own BTC-ADDRESS where you have the priv-key, but I never see that ( I have spent much time search for this magic choice ), their BTC address they give you when you create an account IS NOT A REAL BTC address its a FAUX accounting key they use,

They also tell U that any money not paid out is flushed to them every 30 days, but I have never managed to get a payout ever, When I google "payouts" everyone say's how great, how they get payous in PAYPAL, and how they can pay their electricity or go the company store at NICEHASH and buy more HW.

NICE HASH IS A FUCKING SCAM

Do they own whattomine.com?

I think so, cuz I know the fees at nicehash at 50% so when whattomine.com shows how much U get paid, that's before fees

WhattoMine.com is feeding bullshit to its users, the NICEHASH is PAID ADVERTISING

This guy is just suprnova shill Troll.

Is it just my rig or everyone else has their AMD setting crash every time we close the Cast XMR?

use the Q key to shutdown miner so it doesnt crash.

I pressed Q, nothing happen O_O

Click the miner window and hit Q just like you pull up the stats with S key.

Will try re-installing drivers. Just wanted to see if this was a common thing or just me.

Many thanks   Cool

DDU, install drivers, and disable windows update.

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on my issue, im switching over to ETC and ive always used claymore.

my nvidia 1060 rigg pushes out the same hash rate 24.5 per card, my amds all went from 29.5 to 19.5. any idea what it can be?

Use amd blockchain drivers from 23 August or if you Use latest version of Windows 10 give a try to latest relive drivers with compute mode enabled.

will this do?

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-Blockchain-Compute-Release-Notes.aspx

Yes this is what you should use until the latest drivers with compute mode is less buggy.

Hello, I have a problem And I have no idea why is that

its only in Neoscrypt Algo

So the power Usage of the Cards   1  and 2   its  unstable and it affects the speed by about  100-150 Each  but only on these 2 cards

the same cards on have stable power usage on Equihash

and it happened I think today  since a month  its fine

but its only in Neoscrypt  no idea why

Screen shot  of Card one with unstable power usage    +stable power usage on equihash

Any ideas?

Rig 7x 1060

PSU 1000

Windows update pushed nvidia drivers today.  Make sure you reset your OC settings or roll back your driver and disable windows update.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 18, 2017, 05:51:20 AM
Thanks. I have already applied the Aug23 blockchain drivers after running DDU. I have tried to disable the card in device manager but it would not allow me to re-enable the card again. I get a code 43 error.

For those of you that have Vega hashing at a high rate can I ask what Motherboard and CPU combo you are running?

I have tried two different motherboards (TB250-BTC, Asus Z270-P) and have not managed to get more than 1350 H/s.
Both motherboards I have tried were running Kabylake CPUs (G3950, G4560).

Thinking of trying out a Skylake processor in case there is an issue with Kabylake and Vega.

Thanks

Highly doubt your mobo/CPU combo has any effect. I have one system using an ASRock H110 and G4600, and another setup with an older P8Z77 motherboard and Core i5 (on DDR3!). All my cards are running roughly 1950-70 H/s avg.

1350 sounds like your cards aren't being properly served by the driver. Make sure you have the August Blockchain driver and that you've reset your cards prior to starting your miner.

If you follow the instructions he gave you with devcon.exe and a batfile it might work.
