Buy bitcoin .... profit.

Nothing to put in? Sell something in the marketplace. Or services if you can do anything remotely -- writing, coding, programming, proofing/editing.
822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really believe that Bitcoin will hit 1,000,000 on: July 08, 2014, 08:21:50 PM
I'm in the $1,000,000 camp. But I'm not unrealistic. It could take many, many years -- decades -- to get there. I'm patient. Smiley
823  Economy / Economics / Re: Please stop with mBTC, microBTC, ...! on: July 08, 2014, 08:20:14 PM

In third world countries, bitcoin has fresh field, but you have to introduce it to them like mBTCs, seeing that every unit is less than a dollar, it will get sold like hot bread.
People cant afford the idea of buying some currency thats more expensive that his weekly income.

Indeed, and look at the current prices, now imagine if the Winklevoss prediction of 70,000 each by 2017 comes to reality  Roll Eyes those mBTCs

will be uBTCs... personally i don't like that, the Satoshi measurement seems easier to me.

One consistent denomination seems ideal. No confusion, uniformity, simplicity. Question is, what denomination? The "dollar" works for USD.

I see this as an issue for metric applications to bitcoin.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: July 08, 2014, 08:19:09 PM
That's a tough one. Probably selling more coins than I would like to admit in the $10 range. Tongue
825  Other / Off-topic / Re: what makes you feel good ? on: July 08, 2014, 08:15:24 PM
money and masturbation

Money makes me happy in the moment, and depressed in the long run. Regarding the latter, I prefer the real thing. Smiley
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the top features/functionalities you look for in an exchange? on: July 08, 2014, 08:07:18 PM
Strictly in terms of features/functionality....

A high-functioning, low-lag trade engine. BTC-E is the only successful exchange in this regard.
Robust options for types of orders to execute -- limit, market, stops, trailing stops. Bitfinex is the only exchange that got this right so far.
827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitfinex on: July 08, 2014, 08:03:28 PM
High interest rate on bitfinex and high premium on icbit are sign of bullish. People borrowing are expecting the rally will be higher than the interest rate.

Sure, and they might be right. Or they might be very wrong. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I remember a massive short squeeze last November when Bitfinex traders were very wrong about the market. Can't happen in the other direction? Tongue

Thats my market moto: Go against the crowd.

Oh noes!  That means be a bear!   Shocked

But on this forum, people are always predominantly bullish. If you go to Tradingview right now, most people seem bearish. Take your pick. Cheesy
828  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have found the way to drive the price to ATH on: July 08, 2014, 08:02:22 PM
I have asks from $710 - $760 and I don't plan on moving them. Smiley See you on the bounce down from there.
829  Other / Off-topic / Re: what makes you feel good ? on: July 08, 2014, 08:00:15 PM
I feel pretty good after lighting up a fat, fat joint. Is that what you mean? Tongue
830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 08, 2014, 07:21:36 PM
Hobo looks like it wants to break out in its sleep. 200 in bids up at spread and back up to 1800 down to 3800. Come on, let's pump this thing.... Tongue
831  Other / Off-topic / Re: best browser to use? on: July 08, 2014, 07:20:14 PM
I haven't found a reason to switch from Firefox. Tried Chrome for a bit, which seemed to run a bit slower.
832  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your favorite music genre? on: July 08, 2014, 06:35:18 PM
Not easy to pick one.... if I had to, probably hip hop (from the old school 81-93 is the best of course Cheesy). But I love house, jungle, dubstep, breakbeat stuff.

834  Economy / Economics / Re: Expedia Starts Accepting Bitcoin for Hotel Bookings on: June 17, 2014, 05:56:28 PM
If Expedia is smart and a tad risky they would hold those coins and profit from it later on down the road.

No way is any company of scale going to keep 100%, and I'd be surprised at > 1%. BTC economy is tiny, and these companies have real fiat overhead to be concerned with. They are not investors, IMO.
835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is This possible.. Ads to each btc address on: June 17, 2014, 05:54:56 PM
I think it is not impossible, but not many advertisers will be interested in it because very few people will actually view the ads

Personally I don't want to view this kind of ads for sure

I hardly take notice of them when I see them on the blockchain (at say, an address I just sent to), and when I do notice, I would never listen to the ad....
836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New To Bitcoin! Any Good Ways To Earn? on: June 17, 2014, 05:53:51 PM
Hey Guys
Im new to bitcoin and would like to know some good ways to earn it! I can't buy any as i'm 14 and my bank will not allow transfers. I have bought 1Gh on CEX.IO which is very low mining power but will do for now.
Any Suggestions Accepted Cheesy
Thanks!

If you are looking to earn BTC, I would highly recommend against mining with CEX.IO. Very unprofitable, and depends on newbies to keep buying overpriced hashing power.
837  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good, free AntiVirus & Anti-shitware? on: June 17, 2014, 05:52:21 PM
There was a time when Windows Defender was actually decent. For now, I'd recommend Malwarebytes for a lightweight, reliable solution.

No one use Norton security?

Norton is horrible and is way too resource-intensive.
838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Help/Guide on Signature Campaigns. on: June 17, 2014, 05:50:45 PM
newbie here. just want to know how it works and how do i earn with it.

Well, you won't be able to participate with a Newbie account for some time. There are now some new campaigns for Junior Members -- wasn't the case before. So you should be good in a few weeks.
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 17, 2014, 05:48:11 PM
I think Bitcoin is fascinating and has good potential long term. However, if you want the complete reasons why I am starting to feel somewhat bearish in the short term, the reasons lie entirely in this chart.  Don't focus too much on refuting any one thing because there are about 8 things.

Could you explain what the 8 things are, instead of just saying "there are about 8 things"? I can see a couple, but surely you could elaborate.
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Steam accepted Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2014, 05:46:49 PM
I think they'll be implementing Bitcoins very soon. Can't wait to spend my satoshis on games.

This is exactly what I meant by adding some selling pressure to the market. I'm just glad that Bitpay appears to do much of their selling either off exchange, or not immediately.
