A scammer would be very foolish to show his name and face in the media. There are many coins where the creators are anonymous. The intentions are good, maybe some things in the beginning made awkward, but yeah .. the whole crypto coin is new for everyone. Keep in mind that AnonPirate, the guy who created Mazacoin is very much annonymous or so he claims, though there's good indication he's actually Boxxa from NY, Buffalo. those FB posts have already been debunked days ago Herpie..and you know it.the FUD you spread is beyond belief Give me the links to these debunkings you speak of. i am almost positive they were on your thread! and you must of deleted them!..It was debunked and it turns out the lady was the scammer not PAYU..and you know it quit spreading FUD  Nothing about those FB posts has been debunked, I think I was the first to post them here, Also, I gave Harris the opportunity to answer these questions in IRC the other night, he chose not to take that opportunity. |

Even if coin is a scam, still can be traded.
Of course -- trading it is THE WHOLE POINT and that's why it's on so many exchanges. But I can't win against the scammer who created the coin and holds all the cards. So trading is always one way : that's why we see everybody losing 70%, 80%, 90% of their investment trading here. Not strictly true since it is possible to profit on the coat tails of a scammer, indeed this is where most profit is likely to be made. |

I've followed and mined this coin since the moment of it's release and I have to say it is far and away the most professional and (seemingly) genuine alt-coin release I have ever come across. Now it is on an exchange and there are even devs responding to the trollbox! I mean, you seem to have thought of everything. I'll be honest, I've mined quite a few Air over the weeks and my intention was to dump 66% more or less at market launch, keeping the other 33% to see what happens. However, after seeing your courteous and intelligent replies to anyone in the trollbox, I changed my mind, I'm keeping them for a while. my first ever "long-term coin"! Although, I can't promise there won't be a little day trading here and there  Anyway, thanks Aircoin Team, I'm very, very impressed. It's most miners mentality to convert to BTC ASAP, they are mostly a simple lot - I suspect they were expecting an early crash too, which hasn't happened. Hopefully, the less intellectually endowed (ie: the ones who didn't read the thread) have been dispensed with now, leaving more serious and less fractious traders on the market. |

A large part of the problem is credibility and a large part of that is Harris.
He is making hyperbolic claims that just provide others (me) a stick to beat him with.
He should be promising less and then exceeding expectations.
That "first sovereign currency" garbage is still at the top of this thread and the questions will keep being asked until it's gone.
That's without the other, dubious Payu stuff, he's a liability.

Old Android cell phones are cheap.. If you want the people to get phones start doing a cell phone donation program. how many people do you know that have old and still perfectly useable cell phones tucked in a drawer somewhere?
you can put the phones in Wifi only mode and use them as pocket tablets. if you just need them for the wallet app any old Android phone running 2.3 (gingerbread) and up will work for that application.
basically...
Team up with electronics recyclers, cell phone shops, and electronics stores. Ask you fellow geeks and co-workers. you should not have any trouble getting a few hundred phones donated.
Too complicated, you've got to make the coin fit with the people, you can't expect people to carry around some knackered old phone just to be able to use your coin. |
