Bitcoin had no use for a long time either. Monero leads CryptoNote tech and is a market leader, it'll soon have a very good GUI wallet and will become a standard choice for people that want real anon without the countless attack surfaces of other competing coins. Bitcoin was the 1st and is the most widely adopted. It will be number 1 for a very long time. |

Dark is definitely draining BTC out of entire market now.. however that is because Darkcoin is unique.
Once they release src, there will be 100 clones.. because why bother investing in Darkcoin, when you can get exactly the same thing with the next best thing..
And perhaps even before then we will see PoS + anonymity.. I'm sure.. and that'll be the next big thing. Maybe it can be added to BC, who knows.. I still believe in PoS as more important of an innovation than anonymity.
POS only is bad as the initial investors win bigtime, it's great shortterm but for mainstream adoption it's terrible, but hell we are far from mainstream adoption for cryptos anyways. |

DRK winning the altcoin market and it's a coin that won't vanish as it is one of the few legit coins out there. BC falls in the same category, but BC is losing this fight, if you don't see this you are deluded. you'll need to come up with very good reasons for people to pull out their money from DRK and back into BC.
if you think BC will survive this trend in longterm, my best wishes to you. best chance for an uptrend according to many here seems to be coinkite. i don't share this mind
Right now it might seem DRK is winning but infact there is no real clear cut winner in the alt coin market. All that is happening is btc trades shift from one coin to another. Mintpal being one of the biggest exchanges probably has about +-5000 btc in btc at anyone time, the alt coin market is tiny however if 200 000 btc were to start coming into the altcoin market then we would see real winners. |

It's Multipool dumps going on.... perfect time to buy - IMO this will be worth at least 5BTC/1 SYNC in a few weeks... Thanks for the reply. I m not tech astute but wasn't he aim of the multipool to keep hight the price? Different type of multipool - the ones that mine sync and payout in BTC hurt us. The ones that mine other alt coins and payout in sync help us. One sells massive amount one buys massive amounts. Once the pow (mining period is over) the first type are no more a threat, therefore the price will rise up and up from the second type. Hope that makes sense. So the price of 365 would be a lot higher if it had a multipool backing? Right now 365 is worth 0.82, so the multipool is what separates the 2 coins. |

Look I think this could be one of the best PnD coins of all time but I am in for practical use, so would rather stay in BTC because I am sure the price will be over 1000 again by the end of the year. |

How long was this coin on mintpal? Only 1 day or so ? as i can't see a longer period graph Also can somebody explain why the red line at the start ? from 3 to 0.x ? As the price on bittrex was nowhere near that at the moment? This thing looks interesting to buy in but this whole price thingy is a mess right now , or at least i see it like this. 1) 18 hours 2) Yes, 18 hours 3) Somebody bought something like 0.0001 sync at 3 btc the price then continued to fall as more people rushed to sell hence a decrease from 3 which is why they use a red line (Green when price is increasing) 4) Yes 5) Price on Bittrex is close to the price on mintpal at the moment (Bittrex 0.65 Mintpal 0.655) That answers your questions in the order they appear, the whole price thing being a mess as you see it makes no sense as you ask a bunch of questions that show you have no idea of what your seeing. When a new coin hits an exchange people always try to sell at a very high price as they are the first to get their coins listed without competition, as more people get listed the price will find the mean. As there is still new coins being mined, some miners will dump to recoup their cost.... The fun should start when it switches to full POS especially if that 240GH follows over to the multipool! It will be interesting to see what happens here but noways in hell would I even pay 1 btc for 1 sync, I can see a few people sitting on 80% of the sync market once the POS starts. |

Let's do a quick recap of Sync since launch since it differs from most coins.
1. Smooth launch, pools were ready for the most part.
2. Dev present before and after launch, used their actual account and not some random noob account.
3. Sync blew away the most established x11 coin's (dark) total hashrate by huge amounts.
4. Dev promises block explorer and multipool, we now have both!!! People I can't tell you enough how rare it is to have the multipool before PoW ends. We can help protect value and earn more coins while others dump for pennies.
5. Sync is awesome, bottom line.
This is a good point. Libertycoin is still struggling to get their own mulitpool and have even a 1 BTC bounty posted today to encourage it. At some point people have to realize that not all coins backed by multipools can win. There is going to be losers somewhere but at this stage blackcoin offers more in real terms. |

keep on selling, spread the coins, everyone wants to get in ! dont keep them all for yourself ! marketcap is still incredibly low  and well i guess when the MP gets x11 we can expect some heavy mining power there, i will put all my rigs for at least a week to support the coin. Actually i have a suggestion to the multipool owners, start a x11 SYNC mining week right after POW ends, make some levels and put in some rewards. Like : if pool has 1 gh, there will be a draw in which there will be 3 lucky winners splitting 0.1 sync each, if the pool has 2gh the price is 0.25 each, 5gh the price is 1 sync each ( i am just giving random numbers ) . Set up a donation address for the rewards + put in 50% of your fee into that. I am 100% sure we will get the coins for this ! This will be a really good motivation for the miners ( again, this is just an idea i got right now, if some one has a better idea for the x11 mining week right after POW it would be great ) According to Mintpal, this coin only has 5 days worth of mining? The new coin is Sync! With just 1000 coins in circulation and 5 days of mining only. The new market will be live very shortly. I am talking about the sync multipool which is mining other coins and paying out in sync bro. Thanks for confirming, will be interesting to see if this kills blackcoins multipool volume. I think this could end up being the best PnD coin of all time, obviously won't be used in the real world beyond trading, too few coins but will be fun to watch. |

I am new to the BC community, I once gave iCoin a try and unfortunately that coin never got off the ground. I have been weary of trying other alts but blackcoin does seem to be moving fast with development.

1. How many coins were part of the POW?
2. Regarding question 1, there will only be a 1% POS yearly on that POW total?

What a waste, this coin showed such promise. Seems to me a lot of these new coins go the same way - Developer claims he/she is moving house/broken legs/car accident etc etc They clearly make their money at the start with the pre-mine, then disappear, stringing us mugs along for a while by drip feeding us with 'exciting announcements' and 'pending updates' Big shame, I feel especially bad for the genuine people - Captain Hook to name one, who have tried their best You do know Captainhook was the only person with the premine and the person who got btc from IPO'ing premine? He also broke his leg when the coin was not doing so good. So maybe if you used your brains a bit you would realize the only winner here was Captainhook even though he was a small winner. Do you think Captainhook is going to deliver on the scrypt to X11 change? |

I also have some more bad news for everyone , I don't believe it is possible to switch from scrypt to X11 without resetting the blockchain, if Captainhook pulls this off then he can make himself a lot of btc as other coins will buy his expertise.
