I have some news. Its not official yet as I just got some early test results and day is late so maybe I made a mistake. I want to verify when I am fresh.

I believe I got multisig support added to telepods. This allows combining of privacy with protection of multisig

So, it took me off the fast track to completion, but I think we all agree it is worth a few days delay to get multisig Teleport

James

P.S. The white rabbit will now have N versions of it beamed across random nodes (third onion layer) and then reconstructed at the destination. Poor guy. Especially since my M of N multisig looks like it will handle up to N of 254!

I want to congratulate you on your awesome work, thank you for being such a hardworking and delivering dev. I can assure you that this thread is being watched by more potential investors every day. I think that BitcoinDark will be trading up with the big boys in the top 10 very soon.

Am I actually invested in some kind of future "official" small company that will be focused on engineering privacy back into our everyday lives on the world wide web? That's kind of the sense I'm getting seeing the work done here. It's really amazing. Well done!

Yes, that is what I have been saying from the beginning (I've been here since May) This isn't an ordinary "coin" it's an investment in a company that is building a decentralized privacy platform. Hold your coins for the long term.

BTCD looks very promising. Congratulations on the excellent dev work so far, truly impressive what has been delivered in such a short time.

In my opinion reviewing other coins without their developer's explicit request will cause trouble. If the review is bad the angry mobs of other coins will come in here and start to spread massive unwarranted FUD and cause other problems. A good review might have a positive effect, but what if something crucial is overlooked ? or what if the other coin devs decide to alter the coin's specifications after the review? If the other coin turns out to be flawed or even a scam, it will still have the "XC dev stamp of approval", remember that after the review the coin is out of your control, it's a dangerous situation to be in because any (percieved) connection to another coin can be a base for FUD, should the other coin be in trouble.

Reviewing other coins can be a good strategy, as we have learned ATC's opinion is highly valued by the market. But we should stick to our own business in these early stages in development. I understand the reasoning behind a self initiated review of another coin, but without a fully established market reputation and matured technology it is a high risk endeavour, because the market is still highly dominated by emotions.

Take a look at Digibyte for example, they are the good guy Greg's of the altcoin world. They have helped numerous coins implementing Digishield, have a dedicated following and excellent developers. But all that altruism didn't help them in attaining (warranted) market recognition so far.

We are gradually establishing ourselves by superior technological advantages over our competition. We should remain focused at that, a positive market response should be due to our technical advantage itself and not because of a developer initiated comparison to other coins. Let investors do their own due diligence, they will come to the same conclusion without having to put XC's reputation on the line.

I am not saying we should stick our head in the sand and retreat to our ivory tower, but in these early stages of development we should focus on solidifying our own reputation and fundamentals. We should take the defensive instead of offensive role, after Rev 3 and after we are escaping this crazy crypto realm we could consider a more aggressive marketing approach.

***The XC Daily Update***

Hello all

It's been confirmed by the developers that XChat will include voice calling in post-Rev 3 editions, and video calling further into the future.

So basically we have a decentralised, private, Skype.
**********************************************************************
Massive!! The Devs keep shattering the mold with ground breaking tech! I am willing to bet that when XC releases the post-Rev 3 edition the price will drop. Everytime XCurrency releases something that no other Devs can imagine: the price drops. It happens with every single update. Surely I am not the only person to see this trend.

I keep buying, promoting and holding: eventually the lemmings will see the light.

Yep - this is going to be absoulty massive, some point soon XC is going to just get the mother of all jumps.. We are building a privacy platform / infrastructure which allows all modes of comms to flow through... And at the moment, lots of people seem totally unaware of that...

I like it how there are more long term strategists in this thread. Allow me to repost my thoughts from 6 weeks ago:

After being here for quite some time I see some people failing to see the bigger picture with XC.
This is not just "a coin" it is so much more. The underlying infrastructure is called a "privacy platform" meaning that the coins just enable you to invest in the platform, again (i said this before) the coins are stock and more than just a cryptocurrency.

We are witnessing a company being built from the ground up, providing a service that is centered on privacy.

People can FUD, people can hate, you can call me stupid, delusional and whatnot. But it is my firm conviction that when the XC platform has fully matured it willl eventually be a NASDAQ listed company. This won't be tomorrow, but if there is any "coin" that can grow beyond this crazy crypto world it's XC.

Holy sh** guys,

I just got home and read todays announcement, I am speechless.

I immediately ordered another set of USB drives to back up my wallet on two more seperate drives, again. Yes, paranoid I know but I also know that XC will reach a market cap that is beyond our wildest dreams. Those XC's you are holding now will become very precious.

XC team : you are literally the best of what crypto has to offer.

Normally I try to be more eloquent, but I am too excited for what the future will hold.

I need a drink.

There was an attack on the TOR network

see : http://www.theverge.com/2014/7/30/5951479/tor-says-unknown-attackers-compromised-hidden-services

If my knowledge of XC tech is correct this is actually good news for XC, because it's Xchat functions inside the TOR cloud (instead of relying on the TOR end nodes) which makes Xchat conversations impervious to packet sniffing (the method the attackers used) Furthermore XC's anonymity as a whole does not rely on TOR in general. So XC will function as a safe haven in times where TOR is compromised or under attack. So, even if the TOR network is compromised, the end user of XC will remain anonymous.

Before I put these thoughts out on Twitter, could anyone confirm whether I am correct in the above? I don't want to spread hype or fudbait.

Need about two weeks
More as I get confirmation from some guys that are smarter than me

Is there an ETA when the TOR sticks will be available for shipping? (sorry if this has been answered already, couldn't find it)

0.0003 is quite possible  Grin

Hey cyberhacker Smiley another XC supporter checking in.
I just read into Pseudo and it looks promising, only 2.2 mil coins @ 2.5k ~ 3k Satoshi is a steal, especially considering Pseudo has working anon.

Following this one closely.

Friendly reminder :

Please don't hate on other coins in this thread. Other coins have a similar devoted community like us here at XC. Attacking the fundamentals of other coins is unprofessional. Also, remember that fud sticks to whoever posts it. We pride ourselves in being cool headed and courteous, whenever another coin gains some market recognition, congratulate them and focus on our own task. Remember that on a strategic level all coins that have legitimate development are an attempt to be free from the oppressive banking system and or privacy infringement. We are all pioneers albeit with different stakes or claims, battles should be fought against our shared adversary, not among ourselves.

Regardless if you support DRK, CLOAK or XC we are all crypto brothers.

Take your time, daily price is of little importance in these development stages. We hodl. Thank you for your unwavering energy in making BTCD the gem that it will be (and already is imho)
