821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accidentally sent BCH instead of BTC on: September 05, 2019, 04:29:25 AM
I have done this too. I sent 1 bch to a btc address on localbitcoins. The problem is they can't get your bch back because it would compromise the security of their system to extract a wallet privatekey just for you.
This is what I was told. I guess it does make sense.

it doesn't really compromise any security if it is done correctly and by the right person. a lot of cases on different exchanges have been solved this way in the past. the problem is that it is a lot of work to recover these coins so exchanges rarely bother with it unless the amount is significant enough to justify the effort.

It's not dangerous if done correctly, but despite having done correctly thing, still not rule out possibility for hackers to infiltrate their system. So, when they extract one of private key, they are a little stretching their security to access private key, well we will never know that hackers took opportunity at that time. If value isn't too much, I think it's better for user to just let it go, but if it's worth a lot, the platform should help restore it.
822  Economy / Economics / Re: China says rejecting physical cash is illegal amid e-payments popularity on: September 04, 2019, 02:11:26 PM
This is something that is understandable offcourse.
The only decision of China that I agree with , physical cash is very important , you cannot just take your cards everywhere with you even when you are going in street spree .
This is really helpful for the people who are old , or the young kids who doesn't really have any connections to the e market.
It's a harsh truth but we are taking away their freedom doing this * doing everything online *
This is good what they did.
But this time it looks like most the people are using the e payment system. My brother is 10 years old and he has already used e payment system. That depends on the environment itself. Cash is really important to be used in our daily transaction but that remember with the development of technology there will be a possibility to pay anything without the fees. I rarely used physical cash and always used a digital payment system to pay anything. It's good while at the same time it doesnt seem good too.

That's because your government and environment fully support digital payments. Everyone transacts from store to store, if everyone who owns a business does not play an active role in developing digital payments, then it's useless for government to support new generation. Digital payments are more developed in developed countries, because on average these countries compete with other developed countries, so inevitably government must encourage all businesses to switch to digital payments.

But we cannot force everyone to use digital payments, because that is right of each person. Especially people in villages far from the city, most of them are technologically illiterate.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Don't follow news XRP will hit its all time Jan 2014 low on: September 04, 2019, 02:33:26 AM
Where did you conclude that XRP would be at lowest price again? You did not provide clear facts about bad news on xrp. At least you provide some logical facts that price of xrp will actually fall. I honestly don't believe that, xrp is still good enough for me, coin has been supported by several banks and I don't doubt it.

XRP is not a coin that can be stored for the long term is very risky and if decide to buy when the prices hit the lowest price still not recommended things to do because the price can be lower than 0.001 USD.

I think XRP is still suitable for long-term trading or investment, xrp is not much different from other altcoins where when bitcoin pump comes, it will also be pumped by buyer. Everything still depends on movement of bitcoin, so I think it's better to monitor development of bitcoin from time to time.
824  Economy / Gambling / Re: OneHash || Mutual Sports Betting & Casino 🎲 || No Registration or KYC 💰 on: September 04, 2019, 12:24:29 AM
But why is it that you are not highlighting the FIBA Basketball world cup?
As far i remember onehash always be supporting bets options for big tournaments for particular sports and FIBA world cup was available to bets today so just visiting their site and went to sports categories that i saw several game today such as Italy vs Angola and Venezuela vs Ivory Coast
Yes, they are supporting FIBA World Basketball Cup. But I'm saying is that why they are not giving highlights to it on this thread just like other big tournaments that have past.

I always check their site and looks for a match to bet and I've noticed those matches were open for the FIBA but that's not my point.

Maybe because there are a lot big tournaments going on, they can't highlight too many tournaments. So what I have noticed so far, they are more focused on highlighting their new features and some the season player rankings in their platforms. If they have to highlight each match I think it will be more pr for them, but that also looks good and professional, but that's my only opinion, I hope they will do as you expect.
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: September 03, 2019, 04:51:15 PM
What gambling requires is consistency. I think we should just call consistency the secret of successful gambling. We find out that we are improving and getting better by the day with our games, this has been my new discovery and I have been making some very good wins of recent and it was never that way.
I am a great advocate of patience in gambling but it’s important to be honest sometimes and hit the nail straight on the head.

Let’s be frank bro, gamblers have been consistently loosing and as well exerting patience believing it’s a game of chance and that the chance probably isn’t in their favor yet but we all know that this is a total waste of time and trust.

No amount of consistency would make any gambler to suddenly become rich, they would only become better players, avoid some minor loses while maintaining the same profit making level. To have a breakthrough, there is a secret code, those who toiled round gambling sites before finally having a big win, discovered it.

Indeed consistency won't make a gambler suddenly rich and @lixer doesn't say that, he say that with consistency gambler will get better. Consistency is forerunner to success in gambling, at that time as days go by, more experience in managing gambling. And keep in mind that what you say about working hard for big win is actually not entirely true, hard work without being accompanied by smart work will only lead to greed and emotions.
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Premier Cryptocurrency Exchange of Bitcoin.com’s Is Live Now on: September 03, 2019, 01:15:07 PM
I think it was due to user carelessness. They must double check the price and name of coin before trading. Besides, if they buy wrongly, they can still sell because exchange is still high in liquidity.
I don't think this will be a big deal, it's just a coincidence.

Yes and no. Yes, I definitely believe that people should do their research onto these stuff before actually trying to buy bitcoin just so they won't be tricked somewhere along the way(like buying BCH instead of BTC), but at the same time, it doesn't make misleading people like this okay. Making BCH the first option before BTC is ehh, slightly more understandable because Roger is a BCH advocate(though I definitely prefer if BTC is first), but calling BTC Bitcoin Core? That's BS.

Yes, but what Roger Ver is doing is taking sides with what he supports, even though their subdomain is under bitcoin.com and bitcoin is a pioneer of BCH and other coins. Roger Ver should remain neutral towards bitcoin because bitcoin is not his rival, no matter how strong coins he supports will never match bitcoin. It's a little funny.
Maybe it's a strategy to keep BCH in top rank of BCH SV, haha
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about investments I've made on: September 03, 2019, 07:00:33 AM
No, both KCS and ETH is not stable coins. Both coins depend on bitcoin price to moves. And if bitcoin increase, both coins will be down for a moment but then will increase again. That will happen over and over, but in the long-term, I think ETH can back to the higher price while in KCS, I don't have any clue. If KCS is a potential coin, then I guess KCS will have a chance to increase, but if it's not, then KCS will get down for more.

I agree with your statement that KCS and ETH are not stable coins, but I don't agree if you think KCS has no potential opportunities. If we look at ranking coinmarketcap, KCS is still included in top 50 coins and in my opinion it is still a potential coin. It's just that altcoin is now still consolidating because bitcoin seems to be in a sideaway period. So all altcoin is still unpredictable, but if bitcoin is pumped again, then top altcoin will become a potential opportunities and pumped too.
828  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟Bits.game 🌟 ⭐ New "PvP" Jackpot Lottery game ⭐ on: September 02, 2019, 10:58:30 PM
~snipp
Bots? that isnt  a good solution or feature to put on.You cant be sure that those bots are siding the house itself and basically it cant be considered as PvP since
you are playing against a bot.
Casual thing that do happen among Lottery sites no matter how attractive it is or what system they are using they do really end up on having no players due to lack of interest thats why we cant see Lottery sites that do succeed even up to now.

Yeah right, bots are not right choice and certainly with bots they have a standard on their bot system, so if bot is always on side of host then gambling will be useless, players will always lose. At least they should be able to attract gamblers to use their platform, any way. There are many ways to get money to grow a business, they can borrow to add interesting features, it's just that they have to look much better.

I myself will try their platforms when they already look much better with new features which are certainly very beneficial for gamblers and not playing with bots.
829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Profitably - while getting shit done. on: September 02, 2019, 11:37:12 AM
Most full time trader who has chosen the line of trading as the only source of income often neglect some of those other things you do, and they probably get a nanny for I and also do not engage in other physical woks, so if you want to trade like that, you have to apply that method also, but as a short term trader, just learn to always make use of your take profit and stop loss tool, or you make use of BOT applications.

Using Take Profit or Stop Loss is highly recommended, but if you use bots I think it's better not to because bots can never analyze fundamentally, bots are only a representation of trading logic that we make. Sometimes our logic is also not supported by other analyzes, so it is very risky.

831  Economy / Gambling / Re: What happened to SatoshiDice on: September 02, 2019, 04:38:49 AM
Competition just killed them. If I am not wrong they were sold for like thousands of bitcoin at the first time and that created a huge news cycle where a business on bitcoin worth that much, nowadays we get that type of valuations and mergers or acquisitions all the time but it was the first time. After websites like primedice and others came up satoshidice were just old style and stopped getting attention.

That's right, dude. Their site began to be abandoned after emergence of gambling sites with a new style and which is clearly much better than SatoshiDice.com. After site was sold, developer did not provide a very good development and lack of development of features so they were abandoned until stalled. No one has developed it until now.

Same here, didn't know or heard this dice site. It ain't long enough to play dice game right now because there are new dice sites created and also legit. I wonder why those dice player still bet on the dice site even though there's not much bet and the issue that the site have like the question that the op is asking.

I dunno, it seems like those who still survive on gambling site because it has its own comfort in gambling there. What is felt by us is sometimes different from what is felt by other people or they are all fans bch haha
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excited for a Chinese cryptocurrency? on: September 02, 2019, 02:30:01 AM
I have heard this news of china cryptocurrency for a while now and I must confess to you that I am not excited at it at all because I feel that it will have some impacts on the price of bitcoin a little bit. We all know that china is the biggest country that we still have, and if china diverts attention of most of their citizens into that coin, it would really be a success, and china has a way of actually controlling things over there with technology, so they could just ban any site that has to do with other cryptocurrency and chance people would not be able to have access to it.

I think this news will only be interesting to them and not to many other people who are not citizens of china because it would not pay them. The only way I would accept their coin is if they are paring with bitcoin.

Well, it is right that this could be a big disaster for bitcoin if  Chinese government really was able to divert people to use their coins. It might have a temporary effect on bitcoin and then recover, but we must be prepared to pump bitcoin harder when Chinese investors turn to their new digital coins.

Regarding banned sites, I don't think it will affect crypto holders in China, because they have many ways to keep using crypto. The only problem is concern that  new coins will have a major impact on bitcoin.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good website or source for price predictions on: September 01, 2019, 11:53:18 PM
Hello, could you kindly recommend me some good website where I can get real research-based price predictions for cryptocurrencies?
An example of what I am looking for: https://twitter.com/change5168/status/1124538188507205632

Very much in my opinion, sometimes news sites also provide such predictions. But my advice still don't believe too much on predictions  any website because most them only direct you to sell and buy so they get profit from it.

It's not all websites are like that, but of course sometimes they do naughty things. It's okay to believe, as long as with careful consideration.

Try some these websites:
https://walletinvestor.com/
https://tradingbeasts.com/
https://cryptonaire.com/
https://longforecast.com/
834  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Next coin that will be listed on Binance on: September 01, 2019, 09:24:29 PM
~snipp

It would be classed as leaked information, we know that coins that get added to binance usually gain upto 10x they're price, so it's just a heads up

Right, this can be leaked information, but also events like this often occur on some exchanges when they just listed. Sometimes there are also projects that provide  flexibility to make a deposit first before trading opens, I have ever met such an exchange. However, this can be risked if you buy it now, price may go up later, but market conditions are also not good.
835  Economy / Economics / Re: First biological theory of money supports Bitcoin on: September 01, 2019, 06:15:42 PM
I can agree that fiat has a way of interacting with our minds or gene as money because fiat is money and that is what it is used for but bitcoin isn't used only as money but other things too. So where is the connection coming from.
I think bitcoin is still connected with fiat money and there are many more that are still hidden inside without you knowing. just understand the general nature of bitcoin so you don't get complicated.

Indeed, all forms of currency created are actually connected with fiat because fiat itself is a base currency. Even bitcoin has a very high value because of fiat, if fiat doesn't exist, then where can bitcoin be pegged to? Well that's about concept. And true, that general nature of bitcoin is certainly not far from fiat,  only difference is that it adopts a technology.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 01, 2019, 11:28:03 AM
Why would they urge Philippines to ban online gambling?? It's not Philippines' fault if Chinese citizens would work illegally in the Philippines, as if they're forcing them to do so. I know Philippines especially Duterte are being kind to China but that doesn't give rights to China to interfere about Philippine government and their action towards an issue and the country.
There's separate laws between this countries and yes I agree that they can't interfere whatever decisions PH will decide to this matter, they should be strict sending their people here and work with illegal gambling activities, though since this  two leaders have good bond there's also chances that it will be grant by the president if this issue  also will affect the nation.

Well, their sovereignty is different, even though  two leaders are very close, but if Philippine leader take  action requested by China, there will certainly be many protests from  people. Each country is free to regulate its own country without governing or governed by other countries, I think Philippines must remember that.

I think  two countries are better off making agreements that are specific to Chinese citizens who are in Philippines alone, if they violate, extradition legal policies of  two countries will apply and these offenders must be prepared to be deported to China. It is unfortunate indeed if  Philippine government also prohibits all forms of gambling only because of Chinese citizens while  population of gamblers in their country is very high.
837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it worth for me in my situation to start btc trading? on: August 31, 2019, 12:29:24 PM
Very feasible, but it's a bit difficult for you if you have to start trading from scratch, especially within a month because trading requires a lot experience. But you can try that and add to your trading experience every day and of course in a month you cannot become a pro trader, at least you know  basics in trading.

And keep in mind, that to get profit in trading a little difficult, even pro traders are not always able to maintain their profits in trading.
838  Economy / Economics / Re: Global economic and trade crisis on: August 31, 2019, 07:51:06 AM
There are many ways to reduce impact of coming crisis but keep in mind that we cannot avoid coming global crisis no matter how it is because all will feel impact, not only in financial sector but in other sector. From now on, I myself am preparing an investment that is able to keep my wealth like gold or try bitcoin if you are brave enough.

To be honest, I don't make any plan on how I can avoid the global economic. I only prepare myself and try to be ready for the worst thing that can come in the future. We cannot avoid the crisis if it's happening in all countries because we will get the effect of the crisis whether we like it or not. But maybe we can prevent not to get the biggest impact by taking care of ourselves from the chaos if there is happening. But I think that will depend on the government each country on how they can prevent bad things.

It is true that this will all be determined by respective governments, because government will be responsible for coming crisis. When government takes wrong steps in a crisis, the worse the country's economy is, fate might be like Venezuela.
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell now at 9.5K or use emergency cash? on: August 30, 2019, 08:45:17 PM
I think you should still fix your current car, wait until the price goes up and buy a new car from your friend. If you decide to exchange Bitcoin for a new car at present is the wrong decision. Prices may rebound to $ 11,000 in the following days. Think carefully before making your decision. I believe you will make the best choice.

But OP does not have cost to repair car, damage to piston ring requires a very expensive cost, therefore OP wants to sell its BTC to repair car. I think OP's decision was right, car was too old to be used, it should have been replaced, if it continued to maintain its old car same thing could have happened because OP had experienced something similar second time.

OP is right because we can sell our BTC when things are urgent, daily needs are more important. I understand what you mean by that BTC might return to $ 11,000 but BTC is currently just break in support area and I think it's better to sell BTC for more needed things. If OP have leftovers, it's better to reinvest.
840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie looking for some strategic advice on: August 30, 2019, 12:31:04 PM
You say that you have budgeted $2000 to start trading, how if you use $100 to try trading? You can try with short term trading, or you call "swing trades" so you can know the feel of trading. The important thing here is you should practice what you learn so you can get experience in trading. You can use $100 to buy various coins but don't buy the expensive coins because the increase in the price will not be too high as the cheap coins price. If you can do that over and over, I think you are succeeding for learning to trade, and you can move to the next level of trading. But if you cannot make a profit in every time you trade, then you should continue learning and practice.

Right, a newbie should not have too much capital to trade. Well I used to also capitalize $100 to trade and increase amount as my analytical skills increase. It is very risky when directly with large capital because we will never know what we have not learned. If it is felt that knowledge is enough then increase investment capital gradually, I think that learning to trade is quite safe.
