821  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mixin Safe: A Convenient and Decentralized Multisig + MPC + Timelock solution on: August 25, 2023, 03:18:52 AM
It looks like you will have to have another review campaign to test changes and integrated improvements  Cheesy

They may or may not have another review campaign. But right now they have got a lot of reviews, around 100 I think, and it is now time for them to read and analyze each one of them, see what are opinions of the people, what things they have done well in their product and what features needs to be improved.

If they focus on the details and upload new improved changes to their Mixin Safe ecosystem, it will further become a good product.
822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we rely on prediction? on: August 24, 2023, 11:48:15 PM
yes, so many people predict the future of the btc price even though in fact we will not know what the future price of btc will be, but of course we also have to individually predict the price of btc in the future, but I personally think that in the future the price of btc will go up high , that's why I dare to invest in btc but I'm also ready if I experience losses from investing in btc. because the most important thing is that we have to enjoy our investment.

In the long term the bitcoin will be at higher price levels so it is easy to predict the price of bitcoins for long term.
For short term no one can predict the BTC price accurate y and it is only the game of priorities.

EDIT:

If in the short term it is still difficult to make predictions about Bitcoin prices, then in the long term it does not mean that it will be easier to make predictions in terms of Bitcoin prices.

I am saying this on the basis of the history of bitcoin. Bitcoin makes a new all time high every four years so it is a no-brainer to make a prediction that Bitcoin will be ATH after 4-5 years. Although it is still impossible to predict the exact price of bitcoin after few years but still anyone who invests in bitcoin, knows this prediction, will have peace of mind that his investment in bitcoin will always be profitable over the duration of a few years.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons Taken from Previous Bull Markets: How Will Your Approach Change? on: August 24, 2023, 07:47:00 PM
learn from all of you while I figure out my own strategy too.

The plan is simply to buy as much as possible because I feel still we are a year for the real bull to kick in if the market acts as predicted so you can buy more bitcoins just like me and when you hear buy bitcoins from everyone that is the actual time to dump your profits and wait for the next opportunity.

Another approach is you can pick the trending shitcoins which can make you millions with thousand dollars as investment but finding the one is like sniping blindfolded after 50 spins.

My strategy is clear bulls-eye so you can choose which one you want. Wink

Whatever coins you want to buy you need to buy them now. That includes the high market cap coins plus the shit coins. The biggest mistake people make is they buy during the bull market and most of them buy at the top of the bull season and are stuck with their investments.

The important thing to consider is to sell your coins in parts in the bull season and not buy any coins. Since we do not know the bull market's top, we need to slowly cash out during the bull season. People often do the opposite; they sell in the bear season and buy in the bull season.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal becomes first major fintech to launch dollar-backed stablecoin on: August 23, 2023, 11:53:50 PM
While the potential is significant, the rationale behind PayPal introducing PYUSD, a stablecoin pegged to the USD, might not be immediately clear. Despite PayPal's extensive user and merchant base, the advantages of this stablecoin are not entirely evident. With PayPal already facilitating USD transactions, the introduction of a USD-backed token might seem redundant. What distinct benefits does PYUSD bring to the table?

The industry giant introduced the stablecoin PYUSD not because they wanted to adapt to the change towards the digital currency but in fact they did not want those people who want to transact in digital currency, to leave their platform. So they introduced PYUSD with the same features that give them the ability to freeze the coins anytime, thus not losing their power on the digital dollar too.

Though people will call it a stablecoin, this is not decentralized at all and those who know will never prefer PYUSD over other stablecoins.
825  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Trade on Binance via ChatGPT! on: August 23, 2023, 11:36:55 PM
I'm excited to introduce our latest innovation: Trading Operator! We've developed a new application that allows you to trade on the Binance exchange through chat-based interactions, powered by the ChatGPT framework.

Do you even know what is ChatGPT ?

ChatGPT has access to the information until 2021 and it doesn't have the latest information about the things / news and prices.

I asked ChatGPT to tell me about the bitcoin's current price and it failed to do so. When a programme does not know the latest prices of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, how can you use that technology to do the trading?

826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW DO WE TRANSFER BITCOIN WEALTH TO HEIRS AND THE NEXT GENERATION on: August 23, 2023, 02:35:01 PM
Hmm, interesting well, as you should know the key is to access the assets, and that key cant be shared if you want security. If you've lost the key or anyone doesn't have it he cant access the Bitcoins in the wallet. So you need to pass the key but there is a huge risk haha, as I had mentioned already if anyone has the key he can withdraw all the funds. More interestingly haha in reality people store Bitcoins for their hiers. I use to keep my keys mostly in a place and few of my family members know where. As you know haha Death is the reality and it can be on the head anytime.

The real problem with BitcoinBTC is that if you share your private key with your near and dear ones like your wife and kids, there are chances that they may misuse the funds and even withdraw them before you die.

On the other hand, if you choose not to share the private key with them, you never know if you die all of sudden like in an accident or heart attack and nobody will know those private keys and hence that bitcoin will be lost forever.

I think, in the future many rich families will become poor when someone in their family dies suddenly without transferring the secret private key to anyone.
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Helped Create Big Changes In Your Life? on: August 22, 2023, 08:36:15 PM
Yeah, of course. I take the example when everyone is limited in terms of local economic activity because of government policies, I look for alternatives to support the economy that had no limits. That's bitcoin jobs, I love this ecosystem, they pay me more than they deserve.
I can't count how many bitcoins I've spent, basically I've bought a few things I've wanted for a long time with bitcoin earnings (although they're not very useful, lol).

Can you share some of the links/places where you are being offered bitcoins in return for the services provided? Most of the famous platforms like Fiverr, Upwork etc do not accept crypto payment as of now.

My financial life is also improved a lot because of Bitcoin or crypto. Although I do not get any jobs related to crypto, but I do convert the money which I get in fiat into crypto and these small investments have proved very fruitful for me.

I think everyone has benefited from crypto except those who tried to become rich quickly by taking high leverages and liquidating their accounts.
828  Economy / Economics / Re: Criteria for Evaluating Potential Cryptocurrencies for Investment in the Market: on: August 22, 2023, 04:15:07 PM
People often conflate investing in a token with investing in a project. They are two different things.

1. Is the token an essential component of the project? In other words, is the project viable with an existing token or without any token? For example, a taxi/ride-sharing app using a proprietary token has no real need for the token.

2. Is it possible to determine a value of the token based on its utility? For, example, the value of a governance token is tied directly to the value of being able to vote. How is that value determined? Also note that the value of a governance token is not necessarily related to the success of a project.

There were a lot of crypto projects which were good and fulfilled all the criteria of being a good project but still, they ended up being scam projects, some of them got hacked (maybe by the team themselves or security loopholes) and others never performed as expected. Most of them do not follow the roadmap but they do gain a lot of hype because a lot is being promised when a project is launched but the project fails as most of these are made to gather funds and investments.

With that being the harsh reality, I think one should be very careful in investing in any altcoin for the long term and allocate only a small portion of their portion to it. The major portfolio should be in bitcoin and your focus should be in bitcoin and/or at most the large cap coins.

This sometimes happens where cheaters try to manipulate forum members through scam accusations against services here, especially casinos. Sometimes it's so hard to know who is right or who is wrong, that's why casinos and the person accusing them are sometimes advised to try to use mediators to settle such disputes like askgamblers or casinoguru.

Scam is not moderated in the forum and so are the scam accusations. Have you noticed that mods will rarely delete posts in the scam accusations board?

that's right, I've seen for a long time that posts in the scam section are never deleted regardless of whether the allegations are true or false, this is a free forum and all members have the right to have opinions (the rules are like that)

the case that I often see is when a player is detected as having another account and when he or she wants to make a withdrawal, his account is immediately frozen, it's difficult to prove which is right and wrong because the gambling site doesn't want to divulge how they detect the alt account of the player by carelessly and it could be that the player did do that but didn't want to admit it, this is my reason for inviting members who are used to playing on gambling sites that are accused of giving opinions based on experience and also the evidence they can provide, that's really really helpful .

So how does a removing a post from scam accusation would help the casino or the player being affected?

As you mentioned that sometimes it is hard to judge who is speaking the truth and who is at fault, so it makes even harder for the forum admins to delete the post as they also do not know who is at fault.

Better to keep everything black and white on the scam accusation thread and the people will judge themselves who is standing at the right side and who is pretending to be right.
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 20, 2023, 07:10:48 PM
BitcoinBTC alone is fighting against so many enemies, yet they all together are unable to control the adoption of Bitcoin.

‘Rich Dad’ R. Kiyosaki predicts Bitcoin to $1 million if the economy crashes
832  Economy / Economics / Economic Crash may take bitcoin to 1M dollar on: August 20, 2023, 07:05:44 PM
According to the Finbold article, ‘Rich Dad’ R. Kiyosaki predicts Bitcoin to $1 million if the economy crashes. This is food for thought for those who are foreseeing the economic crash and are unable to find a safe haven for their investments.

Due to the current economic situation and the BRICS, the crash of the dollar seems obvious. Although it will not happen instantly as the US Government will bail out packages in order to maintain the dollar value, however, the question is for how long?

Some people are of the view that if there is an economic crash, then the stock market and the commodities market will crash and so will the bitcoin price will tremble. This may happen but I think the bitcoin will recover quickly and people will invest in the bitcoin. And who knows bitcoin may not fall at all if all this happens in a slow and steady fashion.
833  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Something like ebay, but with crypto payment on: August 20, 2023, 06:00:13 PM
Hi guys,
Do you know if exist something like ebay, but based on crypto?

-   I just want to ask you mate, what are you planning to buy on eBay? I wonder if these are bitcoin miners? bitcoin collectible coins, Ledger nano, what mate?

I see another aspect of this query too. Maybe he and many people want to know if there are any big stores like eBay that accept crypto payments etc ? Is their stores like Amazon but accepting bitcoin? I don't think any store of that scale exists that accept crypto.

Either these stores like eBay and Amazon start to accept Bitcoin payment directly or we need new big stores where Bitcoin payment is accessible. This may not only ease the online shopping for many people worldwide and will also act as a source of Bitcoin adoption globally.
At the moment, all stores that accept bitcoin as payment are small and with a rather limited range of goods, which are very far from the scale of ebay. The search for OP "something like ebay, but based on crypto" is currently doomed to failure, if we talk about the abundance of sellers and goods.

Amazone and eBay will not allow other online stores to grow to their level, therefore, trying to wait for the appearance of a large store that accepts bitcoin as payment may not be feasible.

Acceptance of Amazone and eBay as a means of payment in bitcoin depends on the legal status of btc in the United States, since these online stores are under the jurisdiction of this country. Undoubtedly, adding bitcoin to these stores would be a very powerful push for global adoption, as btc would then be used directly for its intended purpose by the millions of users of these online stores around the world.

I don't see eBay or Amazon accepting crypto payments anytime soon and also I don't see any new store accepting crypto that can become as big as Amazon in a few months or so.

However, let's focus on the number of small stores accepting crypto and Bitcoin as payment methods. If there are a lot of such stores and having good volume of buyers, then I am sure that it will put pressure on big companies like eBay to introduce crypto payments else they will lose customers who are willing to pay only in bitcoins and cryptocurrencies.
834  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 20, 2023, 05:29:54 PM
Thank-you Elon, I now can add more at a cheaper price! Blending down my avg cost!

Yes, you and i can add more to our portfolio with this dump but there are many who have positions opened in futures and the target was to liquidate them and they managed to do it with perfection.

This market is highly manipulated and volatile. If you know that Bitcoin has a future (and we all know this), then we should do two things to avoid our losses.

1) Do not panic sell in these situations when we are getting negative news and sentiments every day.

2) Keep holding bitcoin in the spot (in personal wallets) and avoid leverage / future trading as big moves against our positive bias, will make us lose our money.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can everyone in the world have bitcoin. on: August 20, 2023, 04:38:41 PM
My question is that is it possible for everyone to have bitcoin with the number of limited supply of bitcoin ?

For a moment think that all the government of the world have declared that they will make bitcoin legal and all the people in the world can so transaction in bitcoin and they encourage everyone to buy bitcoin as future there will be only bitcoin as a medium of exchange / currency.

In such an ideal condition, when you will see the demand for bitcoin will be record high, still everyone can have hold of bitcoin because you do not need the whole bitcoin, you can accumulate Satoshi's, the smallest unit of bitcoin. Let's suppose a single Satoshi is then worth one dollar, or 5 dollar or even 10 dollars but still the whole world can have Bitcoin/Satoshi with them depending on how much fiat money they have to buy bitcoins.
836  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Does it make sense to have mobile wallet + desktop wallet from same brand? on: August 20, 2023, 02:30:13 PM
For example if I am going to set up the wallet on desktop then I will have to enter the Private key there. In similar ways when I will set the wallet on my phone then also I will have to set the private key there.

Is it going to be issue to insert my private keys on two different devices?

For sure, you are doing it because you want to spend the money while at your computer and also when you are on the go with mobile with you only. In that case, it is ok to have your wallet login through private keys on both devices. But keep in mind that you do not store a lot of money (or all of it) on the hot storage and also you need to safeguard your devices from malwares etc.

Air gapped wallets can be bought bro.
No.

If you have an old personal computer, you format it and reinstall the operating system. You remove the WiFi card and the Bluetooth. You have made it airgapped already.

Hardware wallet is different entirely. You can buy a hardware wallet but you can not buy an airgapped wallet, you will make it by yourself.

How about using this software https://airgap.it/ for making your Android device as a cold storage? I have heard much about it but haven't used it.  Is there any loop holes here or using a personal computer without Wifi is a better option?
837  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Multi-sig, Non-Custodial Wallet on: August 19, 2023, 07:46:32 AM
These days there are hackers everywhere trying to intrude on our systems or exploit the loopholes, inject malware and all such hacker stuff.

Still, Some people do not have hardware wallets so in that case a Multi-Sig Non-custodial wallet can be handy.
I heard that using a simple non-custodial wallet like Electrum on your system may be less secure but if we combine it with Multi-Sig, it would be impossible for the hacker to get hold of our funds even if he manages to hack the system Is it true?

Also, I would like if anyone can provide the step by step instructions (any link to guide)  on setting up a Multi-Sig wallet.

 HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY PAKISTAN

We are celebrating the occasion with some amazing art competitions at our local thread.

Let's hope that our wish for a local board also come true !!!

Amazing work done by the community on this Independence day, you all deserve an applause. At the moment Pakistani community is among the top active communities on this forum. When we can get our destination in the form of local board is still not clear but we know the path. The only way we can get our separate board is by remaining active on this forum and increasing number of active members along with good contents.

Lets make a resolve on this Independence day that we will do our best to create a best picture of our country on this forum.

You, people, are doing some amazing work as a community, but you still haven't got your board yet. As I can see you posted this request somewhere last year in December, but haven't got any luck so far.

I just wanted to motivate you that this delay or not getting the board should not de-moralize you. Just keep on doing the good work and keep on enjoying the time spend here. Yes, getting your own local board is like a dream come true but until it is not there, you people can still contribute and enjoy your presence on the forum.
839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SpaceX sold $373M worth Bitcoin, reason of current dump on: August 18, 2023, 05:19:13 AM
Have you see how dumping Bitcoin? If not you are missing red chart. Here is the reason why current dump happened.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/spacex-sold-bitcoin-acquired-2021-2022-report

You can see SpaceX sold $373M worth of Bitcoin. Elon is very harmful for Bitcoin as always. He always supports shitcoins that doesn't have any real value.

Don't know if this news is true or not but Good if Elon Musk sold his Bitcoin and bitcoin moved from weak hands to the strong hand.

Remember whenever anyone sells bitcoin, there is a buyer to buy it and this dump is a temporary one and may not last long. Think for a moment that bitcoin prices again reach the 29-30K range in next few days or weeks and then SpaceX would not have those bitcoins that they just sold.  Where will SpaceX stand then ?

Think Bitcoin reaches all time high in 2024 or 2025 and SpaceX will just witness the flight of Bitcoin regretting why they sold  Cool
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: August 18, 2023, 04:53:23 AM
today i saw the btc market it went down 5% and now it is $26800 and i saw very scared people and many are selling their btc cheap but i will not miss this golden opportunity when people are panic selling so i will buy it. and I'm lucky to still have balance left on my exchange.

Are you also taking advantage of this opportunity, friend?

This is the right mindset to buy Bitcoin on every dump. But unfortunately, people will sell their bitcoins on such dumps and they usually become panic.
Just a 5% move down and we will see all the negative sentiments. However, those who know the potential of Bitcoin and who are looking to buy Bitcoin cheaply, they will never miss this opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin at these prices.

However, one must be aware that bitcoin can further dump from here too, so in case we buy bitcoin now and it goes further down, we should not panic. Also, I usually accumulate bitcoin in the spot so in case the market moves against me, I will not be liquidated.
