821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 05:47:50 PM
Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.
No age in particular. Best time to retire is when you are being eaten by gambling itself; not being able to function on a daily basis because of your urge to gamble, often financially struggling due to losses and if it causes you bigtime stress. With this, you should retire following no number concerning your existence in this world. The best time is when you know to yourself that you are creating a huge problem from this activity.
Well for me there is no specific or age limit to gambling, it comes from you that even the elderly enjoy gambling because it seems to be the only way to get rid of their boredom. Yes, there is still another way to get rid of boredom, but if you are a gambler and you can still gamble even when you are old, you will still do it.

I see from my grandfathers and uncles that they always gambled even when they were in their 60-70s. They are the ones who are playing and they are fighting each other, I can see that they are enjoying it a lot, it's like they're bonding, it's like they're just kids, it's fun to watch.
Elders just have more time than us to gamble which makes them an example often whenever it is regarding gambling retirement age. Indeed there are many people who still gambles at age 50 and up but same thing goes with below 30 years of age.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 05:18:43 PM
We have different ways to cope up with emotions in particular with sadness;some would just kill time, eat, be expressive and more. However, there are people who also tend to do things just to divert their attention and gambling is one of the possibilities. Actually there’s nothing wrong with it as long as you know to yourself that your finances could handle the circumstances well. So if you are problematic in such aspect it would be better to find something which would consume your time other than gambling. I’ve read a study before which tackled the relationship between these two variables as well, however in that study there are no direct relationship between these two. If we would view it on a more practical point of view, it will just make the person in a worst situation especially if he would lose his bets.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Promotions Poll on: October 30, 2023, 04:43:25 PM
Welcome bonuses, invitation rewards, free spins, and such would be surely preferred by many gamblers to a gambling site which would want to introduce itself in this industry. But the thing which would make me stay upon checking it would be how the team behind will address issues if ever there are, given that it will just make a fresh start. For me it would matter ‘coz that would for sure reflect to how they would handle future concerns which is definitely a good sign for the platform’s long term vision. This should be a standard to all of the gambling sites not only with the new ones, if I would be asked.
824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 29, 2023, 08:00:37 PM
Only if you’d manage things right; there are many outlets wherein a bitcoin investor could get profit from. Some people are indeed making a living out of this industry but most people are not. Profit is never assured and losses will always be a part of your investment journey. As I’ve said, there are people who made fortune from investing into this technology and most of them have the financial privilege to do so. So if you’re one of those who hassmall capital, then things should be all planned and never be too confident of things especially with regards to profit.
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $50,000 betting goal by 2024. Share Your Thoughts With Me. on: October 29, 2023, 06:23:11 PM
Betting a high value is fine as long as it is inside your betting tolerance. Having a high target pf profit is fine as long as you yourself know how gambling works. There are times wherein as you chase your profit.Bottomline is; nothing’s assured with gambling. You have to manage your expectations in order for you to cope up if things would go out of hand. If you are having that mindset that profit is assured, then be prepared of the consequences.
826  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: The smartest investment choice. on: October 28, 2023, 07:49:04 PM
Crypto is risky for many reasons but don't consider it a safe investment as it can have huge price swings in the blink of an eye. I think Buffett made bad comments about bitcoin because he doesn't like investing in crypto. Before diving into the world of cryptocurrencies it is important to note that cryptocurrencies are highly unpredictable and involve many risks and challenges compared to other investments. You must be patient enough to invest your money in such high risk investments every crypto investor must control their emotions and be as informed as possible before entering the crypto market.
Cryptocurrencies are a good investment choice if profit is concerned. However, if it is best I still believe reas estate and properties would be first in line. Profit won’t be in an instant but atleast it would be assured. There are still limitations for this industry which simply creates risk for its investors. Many countries still are in doubt of its adoption and with that, I do think that other investments would be better which requires less attention over years. Not unless you are financially ready to invest and let it asleep until satisfactory.
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we seen the lowest low of this bear market? on: October 28, 2023, 05:27:42 PM
Hard to tell there are still CME Gaps around $20k which could trigger a lower downfall with its market value. No one has the assurance of how much its market price could get; same thing with wehether its market price would already recover from the mentioned dump. But I guess its price would just go pump and dump until the halving. There’s no strong reason for a continuous pump at this moment which gives me doubt and this could still be a bear trap so better be careful of entering and going all out this early.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Mattress Mack" loses nearly 10 million dollars on Astros Loss on: October 28, 2023, 04:45:06 PM
The point is that he makes a mix of risk and fanaticism, a very volatile mix, but it works for him, and this works for him because he has the money and the knowledge, the bet on the Astros was not so crazy, despite being a fan .

As for the classic question, would I make the bet, the amount does not have to represent my fanaticism but rather the ability to do it within of my bankroll, then, as read in some posts above, the guy bet 10% of yours winnings, okay, I mean, in the equivalent, I would bet that % of my bankroll, if it is $100 or $10 million it is already a question of the size of the bet, and obviously sometimes seeing millions for the average mortal can be a lot but these guys live within those limits.
If they bet an amount outside their risk tolerance then they are foolish from doing so. If we would be asked whether we’d do the same thing and we happened to not have that much of money then the answer should be obvious, a big NO. But if I’m rich as him or Drake or others who bets huge
, then I’d probably do. Drake for example have lost some of his big bets but for sure he earned huge as well with his other huge bets. And they are simply aware of it, no need to worry. This scenario is just a simple representation of why we shouldn’t bet an amount we cannot afford losing, no matter how sure we are.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 28, 2023, 04:03:31 PM
That's why features like "keep me log in" is saving time and less annoying. I guess on this one, it's to each their own.

Some may agree, and there are the others that will disagree. Honestly, it's not that much to think of when the casino asks you frequently about your log in details because there's a security measures through that.

If you find it that it is costing you a lot of time then all you need to do is to find another one or request that to the casino where you're gambling.
There are just time saved log ins are undergoing reset. You may save the address of that gambling site or to manually check each letter and punctuation ‘coz it is where phising sites are taking advantage.Another option is to not store huge amount of money or tomake it a habit withdrawing the fundswhenever you’re done playing to lessen your worries of losing all of it if ever you would mistakenly log in to fake gambling sites. Never be too lazy if you’re afraid of the consequences of such action.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you use your free bets to ensure result on: October 28, 2023, 03:21:04 PM

We're given free bets after signing up to an operator when making a minimum deposit, we claim bonuses with it. I don't normally try claiming bonuses for I know the wagering requirement but I'm trying it this time.

If you are to use them to your advantage and turn it into coins how do you do it? Besides betting on both sides it sure is but you know the math of it.
No ither choice but to put it into bet. Of course, casino providers won’t allow players to get free money in the first place. Betting on both sides won’t give you huge profit ‘coz one would be losing for sure, you’d suffer small loss from fees as well and odd differences. The only way we could do is to just use the free bets as is and hope for luck to be on our side. Result will never be assured simply ‘coz this is gambling, should be an enough statement for us all to understand.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 27, 2023, 06:12:36 PM
It is mentioned in the Bible itself that schems concerning a quick way to get rich, is a sin which already violates the idea of their relationship. Praying to win is clearly a sign of frustration ‘coz every gambler knows gambling won’t be supported by spiritual belief; simply shows that they have nothing more with them which led them to such behavior. Just let things be put in this way; if you’re lucky then ready the bag to put your rewards with. But if you are having a bad day with your bets then just take a rest than to cross your line of spiritual belief. Our God doesn’t gave anything to do other than to just watch how the player or his son decides for himself.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 27, 2023, 05:43:33 PM
Having enough money would satisfy what you want in some things. In gambling, your financial capacity would either allow or limit you to satisfy your desire of betting and taking the risk but will never satisfy the feeling of winning ‘coz no amount of money will determine the outcome. Only fate and luck will guarantee a winning bet.
What do you think, if I have millions I will be satisfied betting thousands of dollars for fear of addiction that will lead to losing my fortune, but I really don't know if I will reach that level of having millions and still be moderate in gambling.
Whoever they are, it is very difficult not to be greedy for gambling. Good financial condition or good financial strength always allows gamblers to bet millions of dollars even if they lose. They will have the intention of recovering their losses by betting another million dollars, and the cycle will repeat itself until they finally realize what they have done.

I don't know how many people have habits like that, but I'm sure they are whales who will never be satisfied with what they have got. Gambling is fun, but I'm sure they don't do it just for fun.
The more money you have means the more you could gamble. The bigger your losses, the higher level of frustration you would be feeling which would expose you more to gamble and to take the risk just to get back with what you’ve lost. On e you reach rock bottom, that will only be the time you’d realize how bad the situation got into.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Sports Betting vs virtual Games Betting on: October 26, 2023, 06:55:19 PM
If it is choosing which would be more thrilling between live betting and virtual betting, then answer should be obvious. Both would cost you money if you would be picking a losing bet but atleast watching it personally would allow you to enjoy the game at least. But to some who do not have that time to go visit and watch the game of course they would find it more convenient to bet online and just watch the game virtually. Eitherway would be good especially if you’re really into sportsbetting. There are just times wherein you would still take a risky bet online more than with live sportsbetting.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 26, 2023, 06:25:01 PM
I don't know about this article what to think as we have some real streamers and some other guys trying to copy what they do,it is difficult to distinguish yet if you see streamers playing at popular casinos it means they are sponsored by them and as such I consider them true streamers while people playing on not at all well known platforms I consider them not true as my distinction between true and false streamers, this for me have worked well as when I want to see a true streamer I immediately see at which casino he is playing,if he is playing in really big well known casinos I watch him,if not I don't.

Most of streamers playing with a special deposit bonus, lets say they deposit $10k and the site will give them 10x or 20x bonus or more from their initial deposit with different wagering requirement including min and max bet amount depends on their followers and their popularity.

Also usually the site who pays for the giveaways, not the streamer.
Many of them using scripted bots to make their channel looks alive or close friends who will win the giveaways.

Not all streamers are bad or fake, some of them are real gamblers either and they are the same with us, just looking for profits with a special deposit bonus and gain popularity to make more money from it.
Most of the streamers who are promoting gambling platforms are just doing their job to earn money and there’s no problem with that as long as minors won’t be allowed to get involved. Those who are streaming platforms are not required to be as passionate as us for this industry. Their goal is to just promote a platform and if he happens to be really a gambler for that platform then that would be better. Some streamers are just making use of their popularity to pronote anything they are being paid for and that’s just fine for me. If they are not really a gambler then for sure they won’t be loved in such title as it is now; they play other games as well for sure which keeps their audiences still there.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Used Our Wedding Savings to Play Bet on: October 26, 2023, 05:25:16 PM
Hi guys and ladies, here comes a very sad and heart-breaking story (true life confession) of a young lady who was contributing money (saving money) together with her husband-to-be (fiancée) in preparation for their wedding. The story in quote ..

Quote
My fiancee and I have been making arrangements for wedding, we are both contributing (saving) money because i know about his financial condition, in fact, i will say that i have contributed to about 60% of the total money in our savings, just for him to use nearly all the 5 million naira (approximately $5000) we saved to play betting and when i asked him about it, he said he was trying not to put all the wedding burden on me, that he thought he would be able to double the money.

I am really speechless and confused, and i think it's best for me to call the wedding off, what will i even tell people that already know about our wedding plans? this is the most disgraceful thing that has ever happened to me.

The lady is not deserving for that reckless Kind of man, he will do more worst in the future, this shows that he's not being transparent enough to his partner, for him to have use that kind of money for gambling is a disappointment to himself and the lady may not find a place in her heart to forgive him or let go, the man should be the one looking for money foe their wedding, but fir the lady doing so means he's an irresponsible man, yet he proved that by using the entire money for gambling.
Simple rule; you have no rights to use someone else’s money no matter what reason you are having. Well, indeed if it won both would be somehow happy but the fact that the man took the risk using not only his money, is rude. Even if it won, things would still be not great to see. It is gambling he engaged himself with, meaning, he was ready to lose the money in the first place given that winning will never be certain. In all aspects I wouldn’t agree to the guy. He’s insensitive from doing so and might fall under addiction as well so he better consult and check himself if he really wants to change for the better. Nit because he has a part of that saving means that he has already a right to use the whole thing; just pure commonsense he is lacking.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling Generally An Illicit Activity? on: October 26, 2023, 04:43:19 PM
In my country gambling is not an illegal activity, I can tell that the gambling industries are doing well and most of the gambling industries are been owned by the government but it is not openly known to some persons.
The only thing that the government is against is an illegal gambling activity or if found in a very bad place and gamble then the otherwise.
Same in our country, Gambling is not considered as an illegal activity however there are some casino companies that are illegal, they are the ones who don't pay the proper taxes and illegal activities such as human trafficking, selling drugs and prostitution are involved not just the gambling itself... Gambling could be seen as morally acceptable if it helps us to develop positive character traits such as self control and discipline. Those People who see gambling as an illicit activity are the one who always look on it's disadvantages. Even the bible doesn't called gambling as a sin
Well technically gambling is an illicist activity especially to countries wherein it is not legal. But given the fact that there are places wherein it is allowe, separates it from drug traffickingand other alike activities. The bible indeed does not mentioned about it but as we all know it would fall under quick way scheme to earn, which is where people associate it with. However, that would be a different thing to discuss given that drug trafficking and other activities which are not morally accepted, are also not. This matter has something to do with separation of church and state wherein gambling is often regarded as illicit simply because it doesn’t comply with government rules. But there are still those which does such as lottery and other casino establishments which quite making it an exception to some places than the reall illegal ones.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a Top-down or Bottom-up bettor? on: October 25, 2023, 06:56:47 PM
I think I’m doing both somehow; I do check the previous matches but I also associate the present to create my analysis and to help me choose which team should I bet. Perhaps with basketball rosters and team 1 is dominant with the games but happened to not have their star players on their finals would I still bet on them? either strategy would be good especially if it works on your bets or that you are winning from doing so. There are orhers as well wherein players are using odds as their determinant. We are all guessing in gambling industry and we just happened to have different viewpoints on how we would take a bet. either would cause risk but what’s important is where you are comfortable using with.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 25, 2023, 06:10:42 PM
Have this been asked before?
But to answer; yes especially since this year. I am guilty of not soing so especially before when I was just starting in this industry. I just tend to gamble and deposit money ‘til I have nothing left with me but when I realized the importance of tracking the numbers, it helped me to become a more efficient gambler. Losing will be always there but at least in such way, I am no longer losing an amount outside my financial tolerance; acceptance of losing at the end of the day is important to limit oneself from frustration and pushing myself to take what I have lost from the games I played. If I won’t be able to control the outcome then I should atleast protect myself before I start playing.
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just like visiting a cinema on: October 25, 2023, 05:33:18 PM
Well, it should be but involvement of money simply  creates a different motive for the gamblers. Gambling is more likely invented for entertainment purposes and it evolved or developed over years of its existence. Many people found joy of betting and staking which adds intensity to the result of every game. Consequences as the outcome makes it more entertaining up until people saw something in it such as a source of income or even as a quick way to get rich especially if you’d hit a jackpot. Cinemas and shopping are different from gambling; watching a movie won’t give you an opportunity to atleast double the amount you’ve spent. Is it a bad thing? Depends on how a gambler would take it or handle this activiy.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 04:45:59 PM
Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.

Even after a terrible start, you got some luck behind you that helped you to recover from the loss.

But indeed it's not a good practice to follow as a responsible gambler, clearly in this instance too what would be your reaction if you lost that $1800 too if luck didn't work?

It's always better to stop at the initial stage itself if you feel the day doesn't belong to yourself or you maybe forced to chase loss.
Celebration is only appropriate if you won something but if not, you just made a bigger problem. Just like with martingale wherein you’d be increasing your bets on each games which simply means bigger tendency to end up with huge loss. In this case wherein OP wanted to get back with his losses he used a bigger bankroll to may e have better chances. However, if it happened that his added bankroll just contributed with his previous losses then that is obviously a worse scenario. The only way to get back with previous losses is to increase your bet indeed but in my opinion it shouldn’t be something to do on a regular basis; you’d more likely just be more frustrated. Check if you are lucky or nor, then let things be. Never force something in gambling. Sometimes setting the goal which is to lessen the amount to be lost for a single day is better than to check for an amount to be used as a revenge from yesterday’s best. That’s just how luck works in this industry.
