821  Local / India / Re: India or Bharat on: September 08, 2023, 03:56:32 PM
It was not us but the Britishers named India when it was a unified country. The name India is derived from the Indus civilization, which presently is held in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Another reason to change the name as it does not symbolize our country in any way. The Constitution of India, wherein Part 1 of Article 1 clearly mentions India that is Bharat. So technically our constitution allows both the names, India and Bharat to be used officially.

Yes, the G-20 invitation sent by the President did mention the President of Bharat. That does not mean that the name India will be dispensed officially. It is still unclear what is going to happen next. The government has called for a special session of Parliament and after it concludes we may know officially. At the moment there is suspense on this topic, indications are that the name change can happen. Personally, I think we should completely shed our colonial past by renaming our country as Bharat.

Using the name Bharat makes more sense since we are Bhartiya Nagrik. Bharat humara desh hai.
Have you heard the rumors that once India changes it's name to Bharat, Pakistan will claim that name.
They are saying that since Pakistan has the origin of Indus Civilization it has the right to change it's name to India.
If this really happens I am not sure how it's gonna be. It's really weird.
822  Local / India / Re: UPI ATM! Another achivement in Fintech by India on: September 08, 2023, 03:46:28 PM
You all will agree that the quantum of new tech emerging in our country (especially in Fintech) in the last decade has been unimaginable. Recently a new fintech UPI ATM has been launched. You can use any UPI payment processor like Paytm, phonepe or gpay to withdraw cash from a UPI ATM by only scanning the bar code dispayed on the ATM machine.

Banks were already providing similar service known as cardless cash withdrawal. The problem was that it can only done on that particular bank's ATM using the banking app. With UPI ATM you are able to withdraw cash from any banks saving account and you don't  need to use that particular bank's ATM.

Click here to read the article.
Click here to check the video.

Not only that but banks were also charging for cardless withdrawal from the customers.
I had paid 25rs for a cardless withdrawal the first time I used it and it was the last time.
I didn't know of the charges but it is very ridiculous. I have to pay the bank to withdraw my own money from my account, stupid as fuck.

It's good that we have this UPI ATM. I watched it's video few days back.
The main advantage is that we can scan the QR and withdraw cash from any of our bank accounts without the use of debit card.
RIP debit cards.
823  Local / India / Re: Indian Stock Markets VS Bitcoin on: September 08, 2023, 03:36:02 PM
Recently I came across an article that celebrated the Indian stock market's performance. It seems the Indian stock market has delivered a 10.9% return, which is higher than the US & China.

It is great news that the Indian economy is shining and growth has been straight upward in the last decade. As an Indian, it makes me proud when I recall where we were in 2013 to where we are now in 2023. Within that emotional outburst of pride in my mind, a strange question popped up, which was to compare the ROI both from Bitcoin and the Stock Market.

Let's do the math for the Indian Stock Market. If you had invested $100 ten years back with an ROI of 10.9%, your money would have become $235 approximately by now. Not bad considering not many bank FDs or mutual funds are able to generate such an ROI.

Now, let's do the math for Bitcoin. Again, the investment amount in this case would be $100. In August of 2013, the average price of Bitcoin was $135. Considering the price, you would have bought 0.74 Bitcoin. In August of 2023, the average price of Bitcoin was $27,297, which would result in your $100 investment growing to $20,200 ten years later. That is a 201 times return on your initial investment of $100 or, in simple words, a 20100% return.

Think again - which is better, Bitcoin or the Stock Market? If you are someone with diamond hands, then Bitcoin is the right investment. The potential for enormous growth and returns far exceeds traditional investments.

I don't think this comparison is fare because there are other shares in the stock market which has performed well.
Although it might not have exceeded the returns from bitcoin yet there are few shares which have given great returns when compared to other assets.
Besides that, bitcoin is relatively new and we cannot guarantee that in the next 10 years bitcoin will generate the same or more returns when compared to last 10 years.
I personally think as the price increases the returns will substantially decrease over time.

Is it number of posts just in the August month ?

2. Active users : Increased from 32 to 36.

I wonder who these 36 active users are. If they are really active then the Raffle would have been full within 24 hours of the post.

It is interesting to see how these gaming companies are using social media to their benefits.
Not only they are getting enough data but also personalized data which they can utilize to give a personalized gaming experience to their users.
Ads, promotions, bonuses, referrals etc... all becomes easy when social media is integrated.
Connectivity between users is beneficial for both the players as well as the gaming companies.

/// but also an obvious attempt of trying to justify something that they should not be doing.

It's true that what is wrong should not be justified or distorted. I am not a Muslim, but I believe that the teachings from the church and the Bible have specific meanings and should not be interpreted differently. Not everyone is highly educated, which is why a straightforward interpretation can be easily understood. What would happen if actions that were originally declared as sins were justified as 'okay'? 'Okay' can be subjective and may not always align with what is right or wrong. I think there should be clear distinctions between right and wrong.

Very well said mate. The fact is that there are many people who portrays certain quotes from their religion and convey it's meaning in a different form.
They completely change the actual meaning behind the context of the quote and interpret wrong information for their own benefits.
As mentioned in the video in OP, one sin shouldn't be the gateway to other sins. People should educate themselves and understand what their religion truly convey.
Each religion has it's own beauty and beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

the journey of making money through Alts is full of thorns, stay safe out there.

It's not easy to make money in any category. We can say that making money with bitcoin is like climbing a mountain with stones.
We have to be patient and keep climbing and dodge the stones to reach the top.
We have to hold strong, keep holding while avoiding the minor dumps in between to reach a new all time high.

Some deceive newbies by telling in bitcoin they can easily earn money by just buying bitcoin or on investments they like to join. That's why there are times that newbies fell short especially when they invest on hyip or other scams in this industry. Its good to be realistic by teaching anyone about bitcoin so that they will not expect something huge without doing anything. Research is always important even if we buy bitcoin since its technicalities is also important matter than need to consider.

That is true. So many newbies have fall prey to these scams and lost millions collectively.
This is why forums like bitcointalk are a must for every newbie to enrich their knowledge in crypto.
I think every newbie should visit this forum and read posts in here at least for a few months to get basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies.
Although there are blogs, videos and tutorials for various crypto products but nothing provides as much knowledge as this forum.

It's true that many of the users aren't active on the site despite having an account.
Even I had previously forgot my email and password to freebitco.in account and had to create a new account.
I guess there will be many people with similar case and so the real active number of users will be far lesser than the number of accounts on the site.

I tried to find where I saw the story that some inactive accounts won the weekly lottery... it turns out that some "forgotten accounts" have active referrals that earn them sats, RPs, and of course lottery tickets. At least I remember that, but I can't remember when and where I read it.

Even I remember that conversation. It was said that the freebitco.in account had won the prize but never claimed it or used it.
I guess such accounts which are not utilizing their satoshis directly benefit freebitco.in since they don't have to pay it from their balance.
829  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 06, 2023, 05:17:48 PM
If you look at the current number of users, there are more than 50 million registered FreeBitcoin users, a number that large might have very little opportunity to get the main prize from the free spins, at least don't let me get old before I get 10,000 from the free spins or maybe of course my son who continues my account there is luckier to get it, but does freebitcoin still last that long, lol

The total number of registered users on the site doesn't impact your opportunity to win the top prize from free rolls. Nevertheless, I agree that the coveted 10k on the screen is a great rarity, and I would even say that it is an unattainable goal for those who don't press the roll button hourly. As for how long freebitcoin will exist, it is worth noting that freebitcoin has already existed for ten years, and it seems to me that this site will exist and develop as long as bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are relevant.
Yes, I believe that of the 50 million users, they are not actively turning the round every hour, sometimes there are those who only register but do not continue their free BTC claims every hour, I have a new referral but they are not really actively playing rotating the free round, As usual everyone always wants to make money that is fast and easy especially big, people like that are usually lazy to work.

Btw I know as long as Bitcoin is still there, of course Freebitcoin will still be there and provide free BTC for all new and old communities to stay active on this site, so why there is always hope for me to get 10000 from the free round, although not today there isn't Those who know can be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, always optimistic and believe that luck will definitely come on time. Cheesy

It's true that many of the users aren't active on the site despite having an account.
Even I had previously forgot my email and password to freebitco.in account and had to create a new account.
I guess there will be many people with similar case and so the real active number of users will be far lesser than the number of accounts on the site.
830  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 06, 2023, 05:04:56 PM
Damn, this is really bad.... and it can happen with anybody, because this month Stake gave 3 x Monthly bonuses, so you would have thought that it was one of them.

You should think that a hacker would realize that the 2FA stopped them from withdrawing the money, so they would leave the money ...but it is as if the anger let them deliberately sabotage your account, by betting all of it.

Stake even blocked the tipping of the money without the 2FA ...so they cannot even tip an Alt account to withdraw it from another account.   Tongue

That is really bad. The situation clearly shows that the scammer had no option to benefit from his hack.
At this point he should have left the account but as you said it was pure revenge. It is pure evil.
It's like if the money can't be mine it should not be anyone's. Bad day for OP.  Sad

That is a very screwed up situation and the first time I have read something similar happening in any casino.
The amount OP had in his account was big enough for the scammer to try to steal his 2FA somehow through a targeted emails or social engineering , but the fact they decided to gamble away money which could not steal makes me assume the scammer was not only evil and selfish but also a victim of problem gambling to some extend.  Roll Eyes

The scammer may or may not have a gambling problem but the reason he gambled away all the money was only because of anger and ego.
Since he was not able to withdraw the amount he lost it all in gambling deliberately.
I haven't seen such a cruel scammer.

I just tried normal use of the site and exchanged rp to wheel spins and then used it ok.  Just so you know if its specific or for everyone.
Bit of luck, got the 5000 tier reward on lotto tickets and I didnt buy that many spins so its a win overall  Cool   Stuck in a bit of a small gap for BTC price currently, the base reward wavering slightly as ping pongs around.  Someone had the theory we need to wait for 50 day average to catch up, its descending and until it meets and forces price to move we remain negative below it as some momentum in pricing, hence I will wait for a moment to speculate on price direction.  [Extrapolating rate of descent say 2 weeks timeframe that would equate to.]  I have a small positive bias in my opinion but dont tell anyone it'd be bad luck :p

You must be really lucky to have got the 5k tire reward with just a few WoF spins.
May be now you will consider to keep visiting the site often and trying the WoF spins frequently.
As for the BTC price, the negative trend is still dominating and we don't really have any other option than to wait.
832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face unlock on bitcoin wallet devices on: September 03, 2023, 03:16:43 PM
Most of the wallets I've been using before in the mobile application do not have its security with the fingerprint instead the phone itself offers this kind of feature related to banks/payments/money transactions. For me its ideal to use this feature the fingerprint is unique to a person its hard to manipulate this unlike facial recognition, just a picture of the owner you can easily access the wallets. Lastly not ideal to store bitcoin with the mobile application instead hardware is the most suitable for the high level security.

These days smartphones have a feature to secure almost every app with a fingerprint to access the application.
Then comes mobile wallets which already have protection using pin and password.
So using fingerprint + alphanumeric password is a better protection than using facial recognition from my perspective.

Even I had read somewhere about the vulnerability in WinRar but didn't know it had this much impact.
It's good that the fix was available soon. I still have WinRar on my personal laptop but I use 7zip on my office laptop.
I like 7zip more than WinRar. It's always a best practice to download softwares from official sources and keep them always up to date.

The questions they asked are simple, but some of their meanings are deep, such as those who can confirm bitcoin transactions are only those who own bitcoin (proof of stake), but some questions do not have correct technical answers, or at least they have a generalization of the term.
In general, it is good that we are now talking about bitcoin as a revolutionary technology and not as an investment, a speculative tool, a Ponzi model or even as it was said in the past that it is the currency of the dark internet.

I have downloaded the paper and will review it later, thanks for sharing it with us.

I think the answer to that question is anyone who runs the software that implements bitcoin protocol.
I don't have to own bitcoin to confirm if the transactions are valid. I can simply run the bitcoin core software and validate any transaction I want.
So every node on the network confirms that the transactions are valid or not irrespective of whether their addresses hold bitcoin or not.
These are simple questions yet some of the options are tricky.

Binance, another centralized exchange, offering a peer to peer service, something that should happened between two people only, even if because of successful transaction to be carried out, why centralized entity involvement?

I mean if Binance was decentralized right from day one, wouldn't this be cool? This is why I think decentralization is a complete joke in crypto today, any parties can just come out and they say they offer both.

This did bug me previously but then I thought that it is actually good that the P2P trades are happening under the supervision of Binance.
This is because in case of disputes, Binance is there to help and the P2P experience is better when it is present on a trusted platform.
I know it is not decentralized because Binance does have intervention somewhere but at least things are running smoothly that way.
837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I using the right plan? on: September 02, 2023, 01:31:01 PM
Today I was listening to my junior sibling and a friend of his having a conversation about a Ponzi Scheme that they both have invested in and how the friend to my bro has received his profit after the given number of days you need to wait for your profit to mature for withdrawal, and from the conversation that of my bro is yet to mature for withdrawal.

As the conversation was still lingering between their two I had to get closer and joined in the discussion acted like one with an interest to also invest too, from which I started asking them questions about the platform, the name, how it works and from what channel do they get informations about the platform.

From what they  said::
* The platform name -  KDB
* How it works - that after investing you have to wait for 5 working days for your investment to mature and yield profit before you can start making withdrawal, and for each person you bring in to register through your link you have a 10% interest of whatever amount they invested.
* Channel of information - telegram group channel.

After gathering all those informations from them I wanted to explain to them how what they are into is called a Ponzi Scheme and how it can crash at an instant and they lose their money and that it's a syndicate of scammers that's hiding behind the platform waiting for the right time to elope. I felt like talking to them about bitcoin and how's of guaranteed security than any of those schemes or cryptocurrency.  But when I looked at their countenance about this socalled scheme I was moved to hold my peace and let them learn from the hard way, as it will be more understood by them if they learn that way maybe they will give audience and interest to bitcoin when I'll have to introduce it to them after they must have been stinge by the KDB Ponzi Scheme. Because from their expressions there's nothing I will say at that time negative of the scheme that will sound truthful or make sense and I wasn't ready for argument neither.

I do want to know if my idea or decision on this is the right way?
And also have you come in contact with people that invests their money in any ponzi scheme and tried talking them out and what was their response ?

Meaningful opinions are welcome.

Just when you started explaining the scheme I kinda knew about the ponzi scheme and got an idea where they would have got it from.
According to me, you did the right thing but then again it's your sibling and I wouldn't like if my sibling was to encounter a loss which I could have prevented.
So I would suggest you to tell your sibling about what is going to happen if he doesn't withdraw the money out quickly.
You can show him many such schemes which scammed previously, the most famous one - Bitconnect.
Don't tell him about bitcoin yet but at least prevent him from the scam that is about to happen.
Once he has got his money out or if he got scammed then wait for the right time to gain his trust and only then let him know about bitcoin.

Weekly Lottery - Win Up To $7,500 in BTC on Sunday!

Every week, 10 lucky FreeBitco.in users win a share of $7,500 in BTC through the Weekly Lottery.

These are the TEN LUCKY WINNERS from last week (Round 430) that took home the prizes.

So someone actually won the first prize with just 45 lottery ticket?  Shocked, this is insane and absolutely unbelievable, when will I ever be this lucky in my life? Huh..

Have had my account with freebitco since 2016, and since then I've been trying and trying ,and trying to make it to that first position in the lottery table and have never been able to, but then, I like seeing winnings like this as it seems to give me hope that one day, surely, if I do not give up, one day I will surely get to that top..

Anyways, a big congratulations to the lucky champ, I hope he is throwing the party wherever he is right now, 0.06 BTC for just 45 lottery ticket is the same as money given to one for free since 45 lottery ticket only cost 45 satoshi's.
What?Huh? Only 45 lottery tickets? That is insane. That person had big luck because he/she could win 0.06 BTC.

I thought he/she was not thinking about winning that money and buying the ticket for fun. But suddenly, he/she came to be the lucky person than the others. Congratulate for that person

We see that luck is taking its part and giving the opportunity to that person. Hopefully, you will be the next winner and I will also be the winner.
Thanks for the prayer bud, rest assured I am praying the same for you too.
To be honest with you, I stopped paying attention to the lottery for a very long time now due to the fact that all the years I have played, I've won nothing tangible, the first and last time I won the lottery was with over 100,000 tickets, which got me the 10th position, I was happy then since it was my first, but unfortunately since then, that was several years ago, I've not been lucky enough to win anything again, so I stopped playing though I still a few lottery tickets from time to time most especially when i play the faucet, but I never played the faucet for the lottery ticket, I only do for the reward points..

But right now, seeing that it is actually possible for someone to win the first position in the lottery with just as little as 45 ticket, I feel like trying the lotteries again, maybe my own turn to win that first position is nearby   Grin.

Wow, that's indeed really amazing to see someone win with as little as 45 lottery tickets.
Even I have stopped playing lottery rounds but these results shows that it's good to hold at least 90 lottery tickets for every round.
Now it does not take a big amount to hold 90 tickets and it can be received with just 2 WoF spins.
So I'll make sure I at least have around 100 tickets for every round. You never know when your luck shines.

Welcome to the forum! I hope you have considered some exclusive offers for the community. If not then you won't be getting good traffic from the forum. What your platform is offering is being already offered by other casinos with good promotional offers for us. I don't want you or your casino team to think that by just creating an ANN you would be able to divert our attention to your casino.

It takes a lot of marketing strategy and promotional offers to become a number one casino or number 10 casino of our choice. Unless you have a certain marketing strategy in your business book, I don't think anyone would be interested in your casino for the time being .

Since you have created an ANN without any images. I would suggest you to buy copper membership, as it will help you create an ANN that will look beautiful and also attract fellow forum member to check your announcement page. I do see the first reply on your thread suggest what I am suggesting you to do now. Do think about it.

P.S: It doesn't look like your poll is working.

I personally think OP is trying to take advantage of the popular gambling site 999luckydice now since the domain is available.
He might have taught he can scam users by portraying it as the second version of the site.
But little did he know that the site had many scam accusations against it.

If he is genuine and the site is indeed the second version of 999luckydice then he should resolve the existing scam accusations against it.
If not then he is just trying to scam other users. In both cases, he is in trouble now.
