Been working with Velvet most of the day on "the evil key-virus thingamajig". Tried as I might, I couldn't get rid of the positive, and then I tried something completely insane.(after having built three different wallets) I renamed the coin into 331337-qt and replaced any instances of 1337 in the source code with 331337.(which included the name of the registry keys written by the wallet) and recompiled the source into a qt wallet. opened the wallet, so it wrote it's registry key and then ran malwarebytes Guess what?........no more positive in malwarebyte. Same wallet, same code, different name........
So, I guess that means they were flagging a simple string (1337) key label without regard to the contents of the key, which were harmless and the same as any other windows wallet registry key. Thus it's TRUELY a false positive.
Just as a sidenote, the wallet I compiled from the github source code is 700kb+/- smaller than the wallet offered megadownloads.nz.
I don't know and can't say exactly what that 700kb is. it might be simple differences between the two build environments,(libraries and compiler optimzation, etc, etc) but 700kb seems like an awful lot of difference. So I can't say either pro or con with any degree of confidence whether that 700kb was a woolie-booger or not......by I do know my wallets clean. Velvet has a copy of the new wallet I compiled, He'll probably run it through it's paces for a bit to test all the functionality, and then release it. It still throws the false positive because it's still named 1337-qt and it still writes the 1337 registry key.....but now at least he and I know it's a false positive without any doubt.
P.S. if anyone wants to follow in my footsteps to confirm my findings......by all means, have at it, and report back.
Thank you very much Robert for all the work youve done. Im sure some people will still be wary of the false warning but hopefully most will understand whats causing it now. I sent an email to malwarebytes support, hopefully they will look into it. kinda crazy that they would flag something just for creating a registry entry named 1337 lol... New wallet will be posted later today, i added working dns seednodes so you dont need to add a .conf file to the Apps folder anymore, and JustBob compiled it for us. this is not a mandatory update btw, just makes it a bit easier for new 1337 stakers to run the wallet.

I noticed that 1337 has mentioned minecraft implementation. I've been working on an economy based minecraft server that gives the player the ability to deposit and withdraw coins from the server. Everything is fully functional and it's compatible with any altcoin. I was just curious, would there be a bounty if someone implemented 1337 into their server?
sounds interesting. please send me a pm with your skype so we can discuss this further. This will let us add more fun
where do i put my btc addy and1337 addy at for minecraft on the cityfor.me server? there's a withdraw limit of 5k 1337, as soon as you reach that amount you can use /withdraw command and enter your address. if you die you lose all your btc but get to keep your 1337. Happy hunting!

I'm in! Seems very nice welcome yep 1337 stakes like a beast and we're working on launching more services and games around 1337 to give it another purpose besides just trading on exchanges. Hi, stakes like a beast how many days and % to stake ? it stakes 1337% per year which comes to around 3.6% a day. it depends on your weight how fast a block stakes, the bigger the block, the faster you'll get a stake. i was testing out the new webwallet on juststake.online and received my first stake after 3 days with 41k 1337 in it. HTH

In an effort to assist this community, StableCoin is being added to the mining lineup at http://coin-server.com. We will also bring online an explorer for this coin, more to follow. tyvm James, most kind of you!

received my first 1337 stake, all working fine on my end from the looks of it. great job guys!
i had a question, for some coins its needed to make blocks of a certain amount to optimize the staking, for others its best to recombine your blocks. is there any way we could have some kind of coin control as in a regular wallet?

Just an FYI...
We've shutdown the StableCoin blockexplorer at SBC.BlockExplorer.io.
This may affect the SBC network but, without an active developer, we're wasting resources by supporting what appears to be a dead coin.
We're glad to have been able to support the coin through the years but it's time to call it... StableCoin is dead.
a headsup would have been nice. its a bad joke to pretend a coins is dead now cause you pulled the blockexplorer. that being said, thanks for hosting the blockexplorer. lots of blockexplorers to rent out there, maybe start looking around instead of complaining. or did you expect me to pay for it again? not gonna happen, ppl are dumping there sbc at 11 sat to me on topia. theres no purpose for this coin, it failed to be the first anon coin. time to find a new purpose or do a coinswap to another coin and burn all sbc.

ok wallet has been edited, old dns seed nodes replaced with live ones. havent compiled it yet cause i want to make another small change to it but have to do some testing with that first. dont worry, i wont break it

Thanks for looking into it Paul. youre doing a great job so far and testing is all about finding stuff that needs to get fixed or changed etc right so hopefully every bit helps as for the blockexplorer stuff, most coins already have a running blockexplorer, why not just iframe those so people can visit them from your site without having to leave it?

1337 Coin have asked us to list there coin and have offered us a few coins to hand out to the testers so now is a good time to get an account sorted out and get some coins on the system.

sorry for the lack of updates, had some personal stuff to attend. i created a twitter account for 1337. feel free to follow it. i'll be doing a special twitter giveaway on bitcoingarden and other places this weekend. https://twitter.com/1337Foundationhopefully i'll have some nodes to hardcode in the wallet by the weekend so we dont have to use a conf file anymore. if anyone wants to donate a node please send me a pm. i also noticed a small bug in coin control ,which is most likely caused by miscalculating the fee when youre recombining your stake blocks, this will be fixed in the new wallet release this weekend.
