841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Bitcoin Miners Reach Scaling Agreement for SegWit Upgrade + 2MB Blocks on: June 01, 2017, 01:17:49 PM
I am strictly against hard forks. A hard fork must only be done if it is really really necessary like a bug in the code or something. Also they keep pulling back the release time and are trying to release the hard fork as soon as possible which means the code wont be thoroughly tested which is absolutely necessary in case of hard fork. I dont want an early segwit with bugs. A delayed segwit would be better so that more people can go through the code and verify it.

Bitcoin has been stalled for years...now you want it stalled more? Those corrupt Core developers really fooled you guys good. Can't wait for miners to take back bitcoin for good.

Bitcoin development was never stalled. New features are released on a regular basis. This problem however does not have a good solution. What the core developers want is a good solution. Increasing the blocksize is a horrible solution. Also there were a lot of bugs in BU's code which were fixed later on which destroys their credibility. Handing over bitcoin to miners lead to centralization which is horrible. If core devs were corrupt, they would have already forced segwit on everyone which they didnt do. Miners however want to force BU on everyone and are asking for hard fork.

Well, they're the ones forking, we stay on the original chain and we keep the name. Cheesy

I advise everyone to read this:

843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Noob here (SiaCoin Noise) on: June 01, 2017, 08:57:59 AM
Imagine all the users of dropbox, amazon aws, google drive, etc.

All of those are potential customers of Siacoin. Siacoin offers a cheaper and more secure alternative. Need i say more?

But will they be able to compete with Pied Piper?
844  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MillionDollarBitcoinPage.com - Be a part of Bitcoin Revolution! on: June 01, 2017, 08:49:24 AM
So this page is a giant advertisement, from which you get all the ad revenue?

Do you really think that advertisers will clamour to get space on this grid of yours with no actual reason for visitors to go on the site?

Back in 2005 a guy made a website with 1,000,000 pixels and eventually sold all of them and made $1,000,000, since then a lot of people have tried to replicate this selling pixels on websites.

Meanwhile this article came out, I advise everyone reading it, at least you know what you're in for when 'investing' in an ICO.

846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best way to explain ICO to critics & potential investors on: May 30, 2017, 02:57:22 PM
If you need to explain to someone, probably, those guys should not be putting money into ICOs as it is the equivalent of gambling.

BTW, if people are taking money and all they have is a pretty site and a 'whitepaper', it's a scam.
I don't agree with you. An investment is an investment, nothing more, nothing less.
If someone has money and is looking at investment options, ICO might be a good option. There was a time we didn't know about Bitcoin and couldn't invest, but if someone came and explained it to us we might. We should explain it to people and let them decide for themselves.

Bitcoin is not an investment, there's no sales pitch, there's no company behind it, there was no crowd funding, no one to run away with your money.

All these ICOs are just the new name for all these crowd funding scams and failed businesses, go read about Bitfunder, CryptoStocks, BTCTC, HavelockInvestments, check what happened to all the projects getting funding in there, the same will happen to the vast majority of ICOs.

848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MSM Needs to take their dirty Paws off our Bitcoin & Crypto on: May 30, 2017, 01:17:16 PM
It makes me very uncomfortable seeing Articles on Bitcoin from the Mainstream media whether they're against or in it's favor.
Their insecure sponsors have very unhealthy obsession for power and would most likely do anything possible to control the Blockchain.
Let all Crypto fans be aware that Blockchain/CryptoCurrency was created because of these corrupt people. We all need to do everything possible to protect it from them or we'll be doomed again

I kind of feel they are trying to penetrate, control or destroyed the Blockchain with "if you can beat them you join them" tactics.

In my country reports on bitcoin are quite positive even when it's about something bad, like ransomware, you see people talking about how they pay the ransom with bitcoin and saw something positive because in that because they learned about bitcoin and found it fascinating, but usually is just about price up, price down, and bit of information about how it works.

Don't know where you're from, but probably the problem with media is not confined to bitcoin.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 55 ETH STOLEN FROM MY JAX WALLET TONIGHT, NEED INPUT PLEASE on: May 30, 2017, 08:45:58 AM
'Windows', there's a problem right there, do you install software downloaded from pirate websites?

There have been malware found in drivers by main manufacturers...

Do you have any remote desktop software installed?
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: International Money Transfer on: May 30, 2017, 08:19:07 AM
SEPA zone bank transfers costs me 52 EUR cents, outside SEPA zone I only buy stuff with Paypal and it costs me 0.

Bitcoin has other advantages that make it worth the transfer cost, dark market shopping, capital control evasion and mainly as an investment, it makes no sense speaking in bitcoin for cheap remittances or online shopping.

853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: May 28, 2017, 05:40:13 PM
Trading with btc - eth, I buy too high ( 0,082 ) and today I sell all on 0,077. Before that trade btc - ripple ( xrp ), make mistake buy 0,0002150 so today I sell with price 0,0001200. I decide to sell all because my patience is finish. I have loss almost 40% from my money, my question is simple ................. stop or continue?

Dude, you suck donkey balls at trading, Ethereum at 0.078 and 0.08 24H high.

You should play with a very small amount like $200 or so, and read a lot, learn a lot, you ain't gonna get rich over night, there's a lot to learn to succeed, you just learned an expensive lesson, don't forget it.
854  Economy / Securities / Re: Neo & Bee talk (spam free thread) on: May 26, 2017, 08:58:28 AM
Any news from Danny?

I saw an article last year that said he intended to pay his creditors back. I spent 100 BTC on NeoBee shares, which I actually still hold.

Anyone been in contact with him?

You can contact him anytime you want, he is active on Twitter.

He took our coins, 'gamble' with them, lost some and just scammed us for what was left, we ain't seeing a satoshi back.

856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Critique my Long Term Portfolio I'm putting together on: May 26, 2017, 08:38:11 AM
My bet for the next 10x up coin is SJCX soon to be named STORJ, they just got $30 million ICO, they have a working and already lunched product, similar projects already €200+ million market cap like Siacoin and MAID while SJCX just around $30 million market cap.

Plus moving from bitcoin blockchain to ethereum blockchain will enable transactions to be made smoothly.

Anyone also shares my opinion?
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Critique my Long Term Portfolio I'm putting together on: May 25, 2017, 08:22:12 AM
I don't believe this is the best time to take positions, specially on altcoins, this is the time to sell altcoins.

I believe you could make better buys for those particular altcoins if you wait some time.

859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling alts for euros on: May 24, 2017, 10:36:48 AM
Some alts can only seem to be traded for bitcoin which can make realizing profit difficult. Anyone know where I can sell the following coins for euro or pounds?

reddcoin
synereo
bitshares
factom
io digital currency
rubycoin
voxels

Thanks

Do you want to do that for tax purposes?

Because otherwise you can sell for bitcoin and then sell bitcoin at your favorite exchange.

Here's some motivation and great advice.  Cheesy

I type d that tyitle twice because I knew it was wrong the first time.  Still wrong.  w/e.  GF's out at a lesbian bar, BTC crashing WHY AM I HOLDING? I'LL TELL YOU WHY.  It's because I'm a bad trader and I KNOW I'M A BAD TRADER.  Yeah you good traders can spot the highs and the lows pit pat piffy wing wong wang just like that and make a millino bucks sure no problem bro.  Likewise the weak hands are like OH NO IT'S GOING DOWN I'M GONNA SELL he he he and then they're like OH GOD MY ASSHOLE when the SMART traders who KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE DOING buy back in but you know what?  I'm not part of that group.  When the traders buy back in I'm already part of the market capital so GUESS WHO YOU'RE CHEATING day traders NOT ME~!  Those taunt threads saying "OHH YOU SHOULD HAVE SOLD" YEAH NO SHIT.  NO SHIT I SHOULD HAVE SOLD.  I SHOULD HAVE SOLD MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY SELL AND BOUGHT MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY BUY BUT YOU KNOW WHAT NOT EVERYBODY IS AS COOL AS YOU.  You only sell in a bear market if you are a good day trader or an illusioned noob.  The people inbetween hold.  In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell.

so i've had some whiskey
actually on the bottle it's spelled whisky
w/e
sue me
(but only if it's payable in BTC)
