no We did not give up Swapped to a large Hard Drive more space.. hashing on it now.

For some reason your miner was not showing up on the pool as hashing. I moved a couple of mine over to test it and they show up fine.

Yea but with p2pool you don't lose your shares so I just swapped to another closer to me.

Your right about the shares , I was just worried that the pool op gave up?

845  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Do You Want in a Signature Campaign? on: February 10, 2015, 11:12:29 AM
I'm interested to know to make changes the community wants to the BIT-X signature campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877765.0).

What would make you change signature campaigns?

Things that are currently in place:
Highest rates
0.1BTC x 10 bonuses to highest posters
Monthly payments
Payments made to addresses from user BIT-X.com accounts

1. Weekly Payment if possible
2. Payment to user select address,

bit-x is pretty much great sig campaign, highesh paying sig campaign up to date by now, hope to join the sig campaign once i hit FM  Smiley

I agree with this!

I also like the idea about limits on numbers of post to fight spam, so as far as I am concerned you can drop the bonus program.

Collusion, Soft Play, Cheating - ZERO TOLERANCE at Betcoin Poker

https://www.betcoin.ag/collusion-soft-play-cheating-zero-tolerance-betcoin-poker

We have been following the play of two players in our cash games for nearly 10 days, studying hundreds of hands and receiving feedback from over 20 players that have played against them. Our findings are very clear that two players are colluding, soft playing and cheating other players. We will always protect the integrity of our poker room and have the best possible environment for our players. Their accounts have been banned and even though neither player has ever made a deposit we are allowing them to keep a small portion of the funds.

The remainder and majority of the funds will be dispersed to players that were cheated and used to host a 10 btc freeroll next Sunday February 15, 2015 to make the message clear that collusion, soft play, and cheating will not be tolerated at Betcoin Poker ever and that swift and decisive action will be taken.

We thank all of the players that have come forward with data and please be assured that we will continue to provide a great place for you to play. We welcome all comments and suggestions below.

The players are drajl and da_killa. If you suspect collusion, soft play or any type of cheating at anytime, please message us immediately. ZERO TOLERANCE at Betcoin Poker.

I know I seen drajl a lot but da_killa I was not sure but after going thru my hand history I see that I played them together on the cash tables. Without spending a lot of time to check if if i loss to them or not will players that you plan on refunding or paying back will get an email stating this? Anyways I am glad you caught them and question when I see a couple players leave a table at the same instant. Good job and thank you for keeping the games fair!
847  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits that direct mining BTC! on: February 10, 2015, 01:53:29 AM
I've had 3 miners pointed to NiceHash/WestHash for when the payout is >3% above BTC and using BitAffNet as a secondary for the lower payout times and it has worked well until BitAffNet stopped paying (It's been over a week since payout and they just retroactively adjusted the payout to the new difficulty resulting in a 7.71% loss!).  I'm now looking for a new pool(s) for my secondary on these 3 miners since I'm done with BAN.

If I stick with PPS, I'm probably looking at a 4% pool and I'd set WestHash to 2% below BTC.  I'm not certain if this is the best (most profitable) approach though.

For those with experience doing so, how well does hopping on/off WestHash work with a PPLNS pool?  It would seem that with high N value it would even out, but the variance does make it difficult to determine.  Maybe speading out across multiple PPLNS pools could reduce the variance/risk from switching on/off WestHash?

What is a good value to set WestHash at when using along with PPLNS?

Look for a p2pool node near you. Set your miners and wait and be patient.
848  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: February 10, 2015, 01:49:11 AM
I moved my small amount of mining power elsewhere until the payment stuff gets itself in order.  I have no beef with the pool but can't be waiting and waitin for payment.

I hope things get resolved as I really like the interface and the help of the irc chat channel.

As for the 'scamdals' mentioned in this post.  "Meh"

Hasn't effected me and it doesn't seem to be valid.  (sorry guy that is posting all the 'evidence')

You have summed up my feelings as well. The only difference for me is I think I will stay with p2pool mining and BAN will stay a backup pool.

too bad slushy pool takes so long to confirm  Shocked
I haven't mined on Slush's pool since I first started mining.  I tried a bunch of different pools before I settled on p2pool.  I mined on GHash, Eligius, BTCGuild, Slush... and always found myself back on p2pool.  Mostly it's because I like having control of things and don't like having to pay somebody else for the privilege of pointing my gear to their setup Smiley
I could have easily written this same thing as I started on Slush and been thru them all. I would stay on BAN if payments were on time, but am starting to like the p2pool.
852  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: February 09, 2015, 11:42:24 AM
So I thought I'd give p2pool a little bit of help finding a block...

WRONG ! statement, not a block, FEW blocks. GL mate.

i'm also doing my part here: *not much but at least something*

Local: 59434GH/s in last 10.0 minutes Local dead on arrival: ~2.8% (2-4%) Expected time to share: 14.5 minutes
 Shares: 234 (21 orphan, 5 dead) Stale rate: ~11.1% (7-16%) Efficiency: ~105.9% (100-110%)
*supposed to have more shares but was away @ nh for couple of hours*

now where's the block Huh

LOL... yes, a few blocks would be most welcome.  If we hit a few blocks in the next 4 hours, I'll be sending a nice donation to p2pool Smiley.

Just rented some more. Hope we find a block soon.

Huh No blocks yet .............

This is starting to hurt... Embarrassed
855  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: p2pool local hash rate question on: February 08, 2015, 05:22:11 PM
Yeah... 460GH/s is passable on p2pool - you can see how my S3s have been faring by looking at the comparison test I'm running on OgNasty's pool (standard p2pool vs a proprietary implementation of traditional front end on p2pool backbone).  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=891298.0

Here is one of my S3's that found a share in less than a hour after restarting a short while ago.

856  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: February 08, 2015, 03:49:21 PM
Picked up a couple hundred TH on miningrigrentals.  Owner of the rig pushed it up to over 600 TH to ramp it up.  It's settling back down to the 200 I rented.  Yes I overpaid for it... But the gambler in me is hoping we hit a few blocks in the next 6 hours Smiley

Just rented some myself. I did good on what I rented the other day when we hit those back to back blocks. Hoping to repeat it again.  Wink

do take note, if possible rent those rigs as close as possible to your own node or whichever node that you may be mining at. high latency no good for p2pool.
I was renting on Westhash which the node is in the Chicago area, which I think would be about somewhat centered as far as east/west.

You have no way of knowing the miner's ping from their location to Westhash, only your node to Westhash. There could easily be an extra 100-200ms that you can't measure.

you might be able to tell by the rejected hashrate, normally it's high

Kind of what I thought. It was respectable so I felt it was good. Seeing that I am mining on someone else's node I can't ping Westhash so I just watched the DOA it was not abnormally high. I am using a node that was ranked high on the http://nodes.p2pool.co/ and I ping it at 50ms -61ms depending on time of day.

We need some block(s)!

It would be nice before my rental shares expire.

Am I the only one with a last payout from a week ago?
stil a 1% bonus on my account tho.... Huh

You are not the only one. It has been about a week here also.

This is what has kept me from coming back with all my miners.....

in Illinois we get chased away to much by game warden to do any dredging i wish we could...
we are scouting old train depots and sheds with Google earth to hit them this summer... well that's the plan anyway  Grin

Indiana has great dredging rules. Either get permission from land owner if private ground/creek or stay in navigable water ways and its legal.
