We happy to launch the " BIG WIN ON SLIDE DICE COMPETITION". Without further ado, here are the rules: - The users that rake in the biggest wins on Slide Dice until Tuesday 7th of April win prizes.
- Prizes are 0.05 bitcoin for the first, 0.02 bitcoin for the second, 0.01 bitcoin for the third. In case of a tie the first user to hit a win takes the prize. No action on your side is required to claim the prize, we track the leaders automatically (there is also a leaderboard on Slide Dice).
- If you make it into position 1 at some point during the competition and you post a screenshot to this thread, you will take part in the screenshot lottery. The winner of the screenshot lottery will win 0.05btc. Multiple entries are possible and increase your chance of winning accordingly. You will be prompted by the website when you need to take a screenshot.
- You have to be a registered FastSlots user to take part.

The exact algorithm to determine the winner of the screenshot lottery will be published tomorrow. Roughly we will concatenate a secret string that I have chosen with the names of the users that have posted screenshots, compute the SHA256 of that string, take the last 7 characters of the hash, convert to integer, take this integer modulo the number of posted screenshots, and that's the winner. The SHA256 of my secret is 8248b52a799e4ce87f816ed2e5c9cff668d0e9ab52ecf55cfa0be68a71ec96aa.

Hi guys, Just pushed an update with a bunch of over and under the hood improvements. The visible/audible changes include: - New sound for Slide Dice and Bonus Dice
- Slide Dice and Bonus Dice are now fully responsive (again)
- More robust implementation of our max win limit protection (we make sure to never offer a bet that we cannot payout immediately)
- Security updates

Yup, the chat is disabled for mobile devices cause I thought that it would take away too much of the screen. Now that you say that though it's clear to me that the best thing to do would be to have the chat hidden by default, but give the user the choice of opening it. Will put that on the ever expanding list of todos :-) Love the design aesthetics of the site great job! I would also love to join the beta testing team let me know what you need me to do when you are ready.
Beta testing? this site has been up and running for quite some time and not in a beta mode, the only thing in beta mode is only the chatbox which is very good already according to me , you are dreaming eh?  As WEBcreator points out correctly we do not have an official beta testing group anymore (we did have the "FastSlots-Alpha-Testing-Group" or something in the olden days :-). There is however a small group of users/friends with whom I discuss upcoming changes. I'll most gladly add you to that list needFREElunch. Just send me your email by pm. I'd be most happy to add anyone else to that group as well. Just let me know (I guess if you made it until here in this longish post you deserve to be in that group :-). K, we managed to push out some updates to the chat today. You can now hide and show it and no one can post messages that are shorter than 3 symbols anymore. Hiding does not work on Fair Fruit yet (fixing that will be a pain) and I still don't know how to deal with very long words that make the chat scroll horizontally. Suggestions welcome... We are also having an issue on chart bet where the chart resets all the time. This issue will only occurs for users that have not made a deposit and does not have an impact on your chances of winning, does impact your chances of fun unfortunately :-( Will be fixed tomorrow. |

Played @FastSlots today and I like everything except black background.
Games are innovative with low house edge. I like Fair Fruit Slot and Chart Bet because of 0.2% house edge
i actually like black background. i think fastslots can do something about it, he can add some more background options so the users choose which they like? Thanks for your input guys. About the black background. I had a plan at some point to make different backgrounds to let users choose from. I even contemplated that the background could change, for example when a user makes a sizable deposit (it would be like going into "expert mode"). Have not had time to do these things yet, bc it takes quite a bit of time to get all the colors right. Might revisit this plan once I have dealt with some other points on our road map... |

Basically I pitched adding a minimum chat size, of about 2 characters (its his choice) to prevent people from spamming blank messages and one letter messages which is currently the case right now.
Let me know what you think about this.

Hey there, I'm happy to announce that we finally have a chat :-) Along with the chat we have done a bit of a design refresh of all pages. We also finally have sound for Bonus Dice and we'll be adding sound for Slide Dice very soon. Hope you like the update and looking forward to talking to you in the chat... One thing I noticed with the chat is many design flaws. With the chat in it almost looks like the site is "pushed" over to the right, hence everything is smaller due to the space the chat box takes up. I would reccomend a chat box which pops in and out of the side and is hideable. Another thing, typing text too long will push the chat div to the right and therefore will be scrollable left and right which is an issue. Received PM and responding now Very good points, thanks. We absolutely need to make the chat hideable. I actually had the same thought but I'm really into launching barebone stuff and seeing what improvements people want to see. The thing with the long words is an issue for which I don't know the best solution atm, suggestions welcome... |

You can now pick whether you would like to have a new random client secret is generated on every bet (in your browser of course), or if the system should stick to one. We have also dropped the requirement that the client secret be numeric, so that you can use any lucky string you can think of. Next up will be a faucet. Coming very soon... |

Short answer: yes, when you lose connection the balance stops to change, even if you have bought a stock. Long answer: What is happening is that every update of the chart is triggered by your browser. Basically your browser says to the server: "give me an update". Then the server responds with something like: "ok, the update for yellow is +10, red is -20, and purple is +100; your new balance is 1010". Then the browser goes ahead and displays the new balance and the updated chart. Then, the whole thing starts over: the browser says to the server: "give me an update"... Whenever there is a disruption of the connection, the server does not get these "give me an update"-requests from the browser anymore. Thus the server does not change the balance, until the connection is reestablished. By the way, the same thing happens when you close your browser, close the tab with chart-bet open, or navigate to a different game. In all these cases the balance stops changing, even if you have bought a stock. Your questions are really helping me to understand all the points that are unclear about chart bet. As I said, will add that info into a FAQ on the page (probably tomorrow). Would be super helpful if you could review that FAQ before I post it. Would it be ok if I send it to you by pm beforehand? speed of " hectic " is good since I dont really like a slow game, but the volatility of "hectic" is indeed crazy enough, someone playing hectic volatility with real money could have got a heart attack especially if he play with purple chart lol

You can check this very easily: When you click on 'verify' in the bottom section of the page you can see the exact code we are using to determine the change of the stock from the server secret or the client secret. Even if you are not a programmer you can see that the code is always the same, not matter if you have bought or not. The difference between the three charts is only their volatility: the yellow one is relatively stable, the red one is sort of "medium-stable", and the purple one fluctuates the most. All three charts have a very small tendency to go downwards over time, this is how we make money. Here is how we compute the change for each chart: from the server secret and the client secret we first compute a positive number the determines the rate of change for a chart. Then, exactly like in a dice game, we compute a second number that determines whether the change will be upwards or downwards. On every update of a chart, the chance that the chart will rise is 0.2% lower than that it will fall.
