Your "Paying our X bitcoins per second" is incorrect.

For example, right now it reads:

13,271.44 Mh/s
Paying out 0.00000000009395808682 Bitcoins per second
0.00000000009395808682 * 60 seconds = 0.00000000563748/minute
0.00000000563748 * 60 minutes = 0.0000003382488/hour
0.0000003382488 * 24 hours = 0.0000081179712/day

I thought, "Hey maybe he just has too many zeros" so I took six off.

So 0.00009395808682/second
0.0000009395808682 * 60 seconds = 0.0056374852092/minute
0.00338249112552 * 60 minutes = 0.338249112552/hour
0.338249112552 * 24 hours = 8.117978701248/day

And at that MH/s you should make approx ~7.731BTC a day, and 7.731 * 1.05 = 8.11755BTC

Hell, instead of doing that math after I took six zeros off, you coulda just taken them off the original answer, or to be more mathematically correct, took it times 1 million.

844  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking For A Buyer That Can Be Trusted To Buy BTC through Paypal on: June 23, 2012, 07:23:04 PM
how about you send me the 16.8 BTC you sold me last week first, before trying to scam others?

Warning about Black_Star, sold me 16.8 BTC, I sent the money, he first claimed he "didnt receive it", I sent him the transaction status and ID from paypal, he then went to stealth mode. Until I get my bitcoins, I'll continue telling people about what you really do here.

Then I would advise people that if your trading with Black_Star, make him send first.

Is people are willing to spend their bitcoin against goods? I saw that a lot of people trying to get in business stop their bitcoin activity…

I have bought lots of goods with bitcoins.

You had me until the "f" word.  I hate fees.
Some prepaid cards (like Walmart money card above) can accept a direct deposit.  Our ACH service hasn't officially launched yet but we would be happy to do a trial run for anyone who has a prepaid card that can accept direct deposit.   Sell us some coins, give us the direct deposit info for your prepaid card and you will have funds in 3-5 days with no "f" words.  You can find the direct deposit info in the online account for your prepaid card.

I would take you up on this but I'm repaying a loan currently. And why is it 3-5 Days? I actually have a Walmart Moneycard and on the site it lists an ACH as 1-3 days.

I noticed this morning that the currency ticker has stopped picking up the MtGox data.
I have mentioned it to Tim Molter (the author of the XChange code that MultiBit uses to get the ticker info).
It is most likely that the ticker information from MtGox has changed in some way.

You can see the raw feed if you are interested at:
https://mtgox.com/api/1/BTCUSD/ticker?raw

I'm still on 0.3.5 and its working fine for me.

Figured Id play some devils advocate:

ABCPOOL
Quote
A block yields BTC 50. The number of shares needed for one block is by definition on average equal to the current difficulty. We take a fee of 1.5% in return for the compensation of invalid blocks and stale shares, and for the reduction in risk that you get. That makes the calculation for the payout per share.

My maths still shows that 1.7% is more than 1.5%+stale shares paid.

Oh, I always thought it was 2.5%. Well, seeing as I use it for a backup pool this is better anyway, because at ABC a manual payout has a fee of .01BTC for withdraws under 0.2BTC. I'll be payout out here as soon as I get to around .05 anyway.

Hi, we are a proxy pool that relays validated miner requests to other pools. We don't need to worry about variance that pools with low hash rates suffer.

In the event the pool we are proxying finds an orphan (or multiple), we will still be able to pay our miners without problem from my funds and the pool's fees.

So your hopping? Or are you trying the same venture as ABCPool?

860  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: new cheap psu on: June 19, 2012, 01:10:53 AM
this 5970 will pull alone 400watts

I would get at least a 650watts PSU for safety and efficiency.

but the money is the problem  Embarrassed i must underclock that card

You should be fine. I have a 5770 running with a 365watt power supply, and the cards voltage is risen. Tongue
