Any idea on how to promote this coin? the price keeps falling compared to the other ones CLINT is now 280 sat on yobit.

in this time all people focus at bitcoin halving no people interesting with shitcoin will be add to Azure or not The use of the words 'clone' and 'shitcoin' is overused and improper. All automobiles contain 4 wheels, a body, and a combustion engine, but we don't call Chevrolet a Ford clone. Every cryptocurrency is a copy of Satoshi's bitcoin with varying degrees of innovation added, all just different brands of the same underlying protocol. The real value of these coins will be determined by network effect, not bells and whistles. The amount of ignorance and jealousy in this forum is disgraceful. We're supposed to be supporting each other, not degrading the work of others. ~~

is there a any chance to get my coins from craptsy?
I spoke at length with the receivership attorney yesterday and a forensic investigator. They had hoped to reconstruct the Cryptsy website but it appears that Vern deleted the databases and wiped the disks the day of his departure. The problem at this point is determining which coins belong to which users. The hired experts are attempting to recover the databases, but at this point it looks doubtful. We will be asking the receivership to recommend to the courts that the coins be returned to the various communities whereby a system can be worked out to fairly redistribute the coins. In any case, I was told the legal process could possibly drag out for years. ~~ Hey, MG, I'm in no way doubting your exchange with the RA, but was surprised to read an important piece of evidence in this case shared with you (in bold above). I think the upcoming website is going to reiterate this information and go into much more detail. The receiver is determined to keep this case as transparent as possible. I was upfront about my motivations and communicated my intention to share any provided information.

The greatest successes will come from coins that are able to capture the attention of the consumer. This means branding is key.
Anyone not currently invested in GoldCoin (GLD) is sure to miss the largest gains in crypto history. We're gaining steam and will not be stopped!

I spoke with the Cryptsy receiver attorney yesterday for about an hour and also talked with the expert in charge of the UNO, GLD, and various other wallets.
Its looks like Big Vern deleted the exchange databases and wiped the disks during his last day in power. So far, the forensic experts have been unable to recover the databases containing user account data. So the pickle at this point is in determining which coins belong to which users.
An official receivership website will be established this summer where news and case updates will be published. We will be recommending that the attorneys ask the court to return the coins to the various communities whereby they can be redistributed, burned, or dealt with in some fair consensus manner.

do screenshots help? I've got pngs of the balance due to me Yes, if you have screenshots that will certainly increase your chances of having your coins returned. The receivership is also in the process of establishing an official website where information and news will be regularly posted. ~~

Investors should consider coins that are 'aged' and have solid communities, reputable developers, and brandable names.

Yeah. This is going to be something spectacular and beyond comprehension. Life is good in the Goldcoin community! ~~

Cryptocurrency has a brilliant future, but picking the winners will always be a challenge.
Yes, I would advise family and friends to invest in altcoins but only after understanding the risks. My mother has recently started investing in Goldcoin, but I have cautioned her to be diligent and conservative in her approach.
The hidden gems are where you'll find the greatest returns, but also the greatest risks.

with increasing number of financial institutions showing an interest in the underlying technology of Bitcoin rather than the coin itself, could it be possible Bitcoin becomes irrelevant in the future, most people are confident dealings with banks and if they offer similar technology why the need of Bitcoin.
This is an interesting question and one that gets asked a lot! Blockchain technology loses much of its punch when the incentivizing power of bitcoin is removed. In my mind, the true genius of the system comes where the blockchain is public and the network supported by miners working for a token. Banks can harness the underlying tech, but it's the public implementations where the greatest potentials are stored. An incentivized public blockchain is 'alive' and 'self-sustaining' whereas a private blockchain is a dependent application at the control of a switch. ~~

To answer your question, an altcoin is a cryptocurrency just like bitcoin, but not bitcoin. Most of the altcoins are built on bitcoin codebase, with some minor adaptions or enhancements.
That's a good explantion.

Well said. Tiny Bitcoin can still be very volatile, so one should not be surprised by the volatility of microscopic altcoins.
What should concern you as an 'investor' is the long term value of the project.
Exactly. I think those that are serious about building solid, stable currencies, with appealing brands will find success over the long-term. ~~

With hundreds of coins it's confusing and risky to invest your hard earned money in any single coin. I have invested in three alt coins till date and totally lost my investment in two of the coins, the third turned out to be a decent genuine coin. I know crypto investment is more gambling than investing but I am hooked.
I have decided to invest( gamble) once more but this time I want to do so wisely. I want to have a set of criteria for investing in a coin , a set of minimum qualification a coin must pass before I consider it. It is for this purpose that I want to seek advice from you folks, please share your methods of picking altcoins and why do you think it works?
As for me, if I were to pick a coin right now, I will look for top ten coins in market cap as they tend to have bigger budgets for further developments. I will look at the dedication of the developers and the core team of the coin to determine their dedication to the project and last try the coin to see if it's any better than the older coins. on picking ICOs I still have no idea, and would appreciate any advice.
I request everyone not to mention any coin by name as this leads to unproductive arguments, just share your strategy and reasons for picking one coin from the rest.
The first thing to understand is that cryptocurrency value is derived from network effect. And network effect is derived from people. Study volume levels, community engagement, and underlying currency philosophy. Then, once you decide to invest, you must contribute to the coin's success by working for the greater good of the currency. This last step is where most people fail miserably. And remember, it's going to be a decade or more before cryptocurrency enters the mainstream consumer's vernacular. So be patient and smart, focused, and hard working. ~~

People might not post or interact often in the ANN threads, but they are frequented by users looking for technical specs.
Many exchanges, pools, and coin information sites have an obligatory "Forum Thread" link. So when users are looking for pools, exchanges, update information, coin specs, etc., they often refer to the ANN thread as an official resource for helpful information.

Today I received a telephone confirmation from the administrators of the Cryptsy assets that they have recovered the UNO wallet. The big wallet moved today. It was transferred to their control from Bittrex. I would have told you ten hours ago; they called me earlier in the day, but I wasn't around and so they just left a message. And I'm telling you now. This is good news, as UNO is now permanently beyond Paul Vernon's reach. The same thing happened with the GoldCoin wallet. The receivership even labeled the wallet, "Cryptsy Receiver Wallet." http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/richLet's stay on top of this guys and make sure our users have their coins returned safely. ~~ This is a discussion thread I have just started on our forum: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3591.0

Is it stable and what do you think, will the price go up?
It's not really about the 'coin'. It's more about the community, the politics, and the relationships. Have you ever heard the saying, "it's not what you know, but who you know?" So yes, it's stable and going up.~~
