Stop your scam talk already! Stagnant over summer? Don't be joking, just look at the chart, we are still sliding down and no indication of change! Gox paying up? Are you completely delusional? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Mark still has his life to live in wealth, he will not be paying back those coins. He will be dumping them along with the other ~500.000 stolen btc. Probably during this summer. (where you claim stability lol..) The effect of block halving is already calculated into the price, many bitcoin fundamentalists are screaming 'moon' because of that already, nothing will happen and upon that disappointment a lot of people will sell off, triggering another big crash at an even lower point. Price flat. Kwukduck talking the price down. Time for another failed thread isn't it?

Supply on exchange equals demand on exchange.
I think this is the phase where bulls just need to hang on.
At the end of a bear market it always seems no one wants the commodity in question. Heavy accumulation is taking place now. Another pump in bitcoin is near certain at some stage given how trivial it is to break the trend and set off a buying frenzy. This time round there are many more on and off ramps. Should make things extremely exciting and the challenge will be hanging on to your coins!

Shorts nearly at 25000.. How many times do they need to get burned? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) How about one? That would be nice. They were burned a few weeks ago.

Permabulls interpret the graph through a 2012 "lens", I do through a 2014 one. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FJutHI4q.png&t=663&c=XOVotOWJaGb6MA) Yeah. Wrongly.

Unfortunately bitcoin will go down ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) In times of uncertainty people will go for the things they know and bitcoin is not one of it. It's like with currencies of developing countries, they always loose out on corrects because stock markets don't trust unstable currencies. Also btc is still dependent on the exchange rate of dollar and euro.Come again?

i got so many anti malware extensions installed in my browser, i can't draw the graphs in those links. so is it a measure of price stability? the higher the spikes, the more stable? yes, volatility is damping down to almost nothing, which is predictably followed by huge moves, either up or down. in this case, after a 1.5 yrs of bear and a 90% pullback w/o outright death, and increasingly good news in the form of Wall St and intl participation, and w/o a protocol "break", the logical conclusion is UP. I concur. Expect a 'shake out' dump just before we start to move up.

all this talk could lead to some uncertainty, which could push price further down, we might be instore for a new all time recent low in the coming months? possible.
damn the naysayers and there need to disagree simply for arguments sake!
sub 200$ soon? can we break 150$? 'Brand new' account In order to get sub 200 you have to first go sub 230. One step at a time little troll.

Hmm... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FPL1MLJk.png&t=663&c=H9Xtxp6fLIhcIA) Fabulous chart. Now could well be in retrospect a time when people won't believe how cheap bitcoin was..Isn't valuation a funny thing ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

So can you explain that on what might have triggered it? The rumors have been going on for the past 3 to 4 days ago and yet again today we are hearing the same thing. It's getting pretty boring. And just to be fair if the price ever goes up again be sure to put out the same announcement like what you are doing right now
It is fairly simple. There is some drama about OKcoin, a Chinese exchange being potentially insolvent. A trader on bitfinex dumped a few thousand coins to try and induce a panic whilst also shorting a few thousand btc at the same time. So far the market hasn't really followed through with any momentum selling because people consider 230 a not unreasonable price to buy at, especially given how far away the 1200 peak is right now. Of course the type of bears who were calling for sub 1 dollar coins in 2011 are now calling for double digit coins in 2015.

Well thanks shorters. A slight discount on my new coins today ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

We appear to have crashed 2 dollars.
Bfxdata showing another 3k shorts opened within that decline.
Cue short covering in 3,2,1!
|
|
|
It has occurred to me that given bitcoin is no longer a shorting opportunity, all the bears and noisy trolls seem to have vacated the building ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I've seen a lot of talk on the rise of USD and US stocks and suggestions of an expected bear turn (at some point, not sure when?). TBH, i don't keep up with USD trends or US financial markets. What i've picked up from all i've come across, is an impending poof! USD, US stocks and possibly other central bank fueled artificial valuations. Can anyone here confirm how true this is? And possibly some guesstimates on when this poof! might occur? Can the US really go back into another recession? resembling 2007 magnitude? I am really out of sync. Also, USD vs local currency rates in East, SOuth and West AFrica - KES, TZ, UG, Naira, Rand, CEdi are all losing value partly due to the dollar appreciates. SO, i have even more reasons to keep track of this possibility. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fuh3sJhI.jpg%3F1&t=663&c=7NslqHxijnT2xA) I know things look bad on USD terms, and while I believe there is impending doom in US financial markets, I don't see and end of USD any time soon. The USG won't relinquish that power yet. They are a huge part of the over inflation on stocks. Once they let up, stocks will plummet and all will be well. At least for a bear like me. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Did they let up NIRP in Japan? How long can you wait?

Current log down trendline at about 277. Will be 258 by end of June.
Will be 1258cny by end of June. Or lower. FTFY If you are looking at the trendline, then you are wrong. If you think the price will be that low, then good luck - bulls will buy any prices below here aggressively. The great thing about the price settling in this range is that one bit of positive news and we could cross the trendline in less than 24 hours - resulting in heavy technical buying. Bears will have to force the price lower to keep it from technically retesting the trendline. They need some shock and awe selling to do that and try and move the price down to a new lower plateau. Each time that becomes more difficult because bulls like me will buy increasingly more coins with every attempt. The longer this boring phase continues the better IMO. Shorting btc stopped working reliably some time ago.
