base difficulty has reset to very low level. Boom for GPU solo miners and small ASIC USB solo miners.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 30, 2020, 02:24:06 PM
Did difficulty drop again? Just looked in on the one machine I have left mining and I have gotten a ton of blocks in the last couple of hours.
Usually I see a post about it here before I really see tons of blocks coming.

Stay safe.

-Dave

Not yet, the base difficulty is above 17.  I think probably big ASIC miners left and you have Cheetah_CpuMiner running there.  Cheetah CPU solo miners are dominating pretty much all the rewards now.

Past couple of weeks have been tough time for bitcoin and crypto market. ShorelineCrypto has been operating with no major discruption and we expect it will continue to do so. The local
Stay at Home order is enforced as the business is mostly online and working from home is not issue with Shorelinecrypto.

Timestamp miner cheating warning was back, but it was obvious that the timestamp manipulating miner was not getting that much of rewards.

Based on below, from 1348466 to 1348871 height for total of 406 blocks, the below timestamp attacking miner got 34 blocks reward, or 8.4% of total rewards over two and half hours.
This is about 4.5 minutes per block reward.  This was not that much.  A USB ASIC solo miner such as futurebit moonlander 2 right now can get better reward than this on solo mining mode.

Scrypt RandomSpike algorithm is doing well so far as designed on this issue.

base difficulty reset to very low level. Boom for GPU solo miners or small ASIC USB solo miners.  low time for Cheetah cpu solo miners.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 23, 2020, 02:02:45 PM
big ASIC miners seems to have left. CPU Cheetah solo miners are dominating on mining.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 21, 2020, 04:49:48 PM
big ASIC miners pushed up base difficulty to above 7 and dominating the rewards.  CPU Cheetah solo miners are getting better now.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 20, 2020, 06:00:03 AM
Base difficulty has reset to very low level. Another boom for GPU solo miners/small ASIC solo miners.
869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 19, 2020, 02:14:28 PM
It now appears that all big ASIC miners left, CPU Cheetah solo miners are dominating on the rewards.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 18, 2020, 11:45:19 PM
ASIC big miners are in NENG mining pool mainly. More than 2 Gh/s hash rate are right now.   ASICs are dominating the rewards now.  Base difficult at 8.6
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 18, 2020, 01:21:31 AM
I just noticed that currently the base difficulty is very low, almost close to zero.  This is not good time for big ASIC miners on pool because randomSpike algo on top of scrypt restrict ASIC.
I noticed that there are 40 mH/s hash rate running in FindBlocks mining NENG, only getting 3 blocks in last one hour.  By the way, I am running a USB ASIC stick with  less than 3 mh/s hash rate solo mining NENG, less than 1/10
of the hash rate, but getting one block almost every two minutes now.

Just be warned here for any new big ASIC miners on NENG if you are not aware of special algo of NENG.  It may not be smart now to mine NENG on big ASIC rig, which cost lots of electricity and noises.

Just noticed there are more than 100 Mh/s running in CMinor's pool too with poor results. Just be warned on this same issue above.

base diff reset to very low level. Boom for GPU solo miners and small ASIC solo miners

big ASIC miners appear to have left.  Now Cheetah CPU solo miners are dominating on the mining rewards.

any active nodes?

The new version v1.3.0.1 should improve connection on active nodes.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 15, 2020, 06:03:22 AM
got any decent addnodes ?

im re doing the pool so each coin has a dedicated port to save mining other coins ?

im only getting 2 cons

addnode=75.127.136.66:6377
addnode=68.151.225.158:6377

The new release v1.3.0.1 should allow your pool server to have more connections and faster syncing speed.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 15, 2020, 05:57:43 AM
NewEnglandcoin core v1.3.0.1 is released:
https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/NewEnglandCoin/releases

This is minor release, mainly the linux wallet binary compiled with upnp enabled, and new seed ips to allow better wallet syncing.

Upgrade is optional.

Recommended: new users.  Or pool and solo miners that want faster connection and faster syncing. Not required to upgrade if you are fine with current wallet on randomSpike v1.3.0.

There should be many nodes active.

v1.3.0 wallet has seeds of several IPs.

I have added dozen current active nodes:port on the first ann here. Check them out.  Yeah, lots of them are not on standard port.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU MINING][AIRDROP] NewEnglandcoin: Scrypt RandomSpike on: March 11, 2020, 03:13:06 PM
base difficulty rose above 1.  big ASIC miners are dominant now along with CPU cheetah solo miners.

That should be fine. full node wallet has self discovery capability to connect more nodes through the connection.
