861  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: August 11, 2023, 05:47:09 AM
A lot of people dont realize how big business work. From their point of view, when you start or buy business, you are obligatory to get profit the next day after purchase. People dont know that there are lots of companies that work with losses for years and decades, and feel fine. People dont know that even if company ends financial years with a loss, that company might have millions and billion in turnover, have lots of supply funds frozen in fixed assets and debtors. Until Twitter announced themselves to be bankrupt, Twitter hasnt failed.

When someone buys a platform, he will surely bring changes to the platform and some people may not like the change and they will be of the point of view that the platform will fail. But with the passage of time, if there is no loss of traffic and activity at platform, it means that the platform will not fail.

Some people may not like the name change etc but believe me no one is leaving twitter.

Today X has paid many people. X has now become a place where you can get paid like twitch. This seems like just the beginning. The application is very open to development. Elon can add many different things to the X application. Elon has such an opportunity.

I think it's too early to talk about the value of implementation X yet. Because many innovations will come to the application and there is no other application that can compete with this application.

I don't think Twitter which is now X would ever fail. There are a lot of people using X and they will continue using it no matter if there are changes in terms or addition of new features.
In order for Twitter (X) to fail, there needs to be a better platform than X, which does not exist currently.
862  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New idea looking for contributers in team its revolution in crypto ways on: August 11, 2023, 04:39:42 AM
Let's cut the short strory short

It will be like cryptocurrency insurance or credit service when you pay monthly for example  30$ and after 5 months you can start using this service fully.
You can remove some % from the account for example your limit Will be up to 5% per month of your total ammount you payed.
If you go over the limit you remove more money from your account for your personal needs your monthly subcription Fee price going higher.

Who and why need this service ?
We all might need sometimes we never know when we need extra money for not expected situation or it's just great way to save.
It's like mix of the 401k + line of credit + insurance.

It's good feeling that when you know you have non sovering insurance and when you need extra funds you can use it.

The problem with this model is the trust and these days it's hard to trust anyone especially when it is linked with the crypto currencies.

As you told, people will be paying something like 30$ per month for 5 months and then will get certain percentage after the 5 months, as i understand this. However, most of such insurance companies will collect money from the public and will run away once they have enough funds.

Honestly i wouldn't risk my money by giving them to the insurance companies and then asking them to return me when i need it.
863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Price in Respect of News on: August 10, 2023, 11:47:04 PM
News have significant impact on the price of Bitcoin and in most cases news help push the price upward and when there is fud it will be downward drop,  this is a noticeable feature in the Bitcoin market and that is why bitcoin is a speculative assets that one need proper guidance as to what to expect from it price.

On a second note you mentioned that the FEC consider bitcoin as a currency in your statement,  but the link you shared does not mention anything like that, but if Fec truly approve Bitcoin as an asset or a currency that will indeed impact the value of bitcoin and most other assets that are pegged to Bitcoin.

No doubt bitcoin price is influenced by the news. Good news may pump the market, but bad news will definitely dump the market.

In my point of view, this is not a good thing and it shows an immature market. The sad part is that even false news or fuds also cause the bitcoin price to dump.

This also shows that the bitcoin market is very new and there needs to be more adaption of bitcoin. When Bitcoin will be distributed to many people, it will be hard for the market makers to make up the news and move the market in their required directions.
864  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accepted crypto for trading on: August 10, 2023, 05:33:55 PM

A few months down the line we have a couple of countries that have recognised crypto to be legal tender, which means you can trade or buy it freely...but even without these regulations at play I think we have several other countries that are neutral on this issue and you can still buy crypto without any problems unless you have problems with payment processors and the alike.

There are still many big countries which allow their citizens to trade freely. UAE is a country where every exchange has opened crypto office and everybody can trade crypto their. Some country have legalized crypto but they charging fee is high like India while some country (Pakistan, Bangladesh, China) are going to ban crypto. we are using P2P trading because buying through credit card is not legal and very risky to do this. we are buying for six years and didn't faced any problem yet.

Yeah, Dubai is one county that I know where you can freely use crypto without any issues. That is the reason we see a lot of startups in Dubai related to cryptocurrencies. A lot of crypto YouTubers who publish crypto content regularly have recently moved to the United Arab Emirates as it is crypto-friendly.

Also, I do not consider the China ban serious because these Chinese people keep claiming to ban Bitcoin BTC, but that is just temporary.

And if crypto is not legal in your country, better avoid it because even if you survived the 6 years, someday the law enforcement agencies may just find you and then they might put you on trial of court for using the banned product (crypto) for so many years,
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked Wallet please help - Bounty Offered on: August 10, 2023, 04:00:53 PM
~~snip~~
It's a very sad incident since your 98.9 Ethereum hacked. But you acted like a fool using Metamax wallet basically you had a lot of funds. And since you had a lot of money, hackers hacked your wallet. If you had used a hardware that was safe for your money, you would not have faced such a loss and hackers would not have been able to hack your money. But instead of doing them, you put your money in a software wallet, because of which hackers hacked and transferred your money very quickly. We know that if cryptocurrency transactions are transferred to a wrong address, it is never possible to get them back and it is never known to which person's wallet they have been transferred. So it will never be possible to fully recover your money that the hacker has hacked, it's really sad for you.

I was really interested to know how did the hacker was able to hack the meta mask wallet? Did the OP share his seed with anyone, or his computer was malware effected?

Funds lost from the crypto wallet are not recoverable, so no matter how much OP offered the bounty, no one can recover his funds. Also, after making this post he never returned on the forum. Sometimes if you face so much loss, you can have heart attack or something like that because of a shock or traumatization? I hope OP is alive Huh
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to DCA 1.000.000 $ into Bitcoin on: August 10, 2023, 03:05:25 PM
lets say someone wins a million dollar and wants to dca 50k weekly into bitcoin.
What is the smartest way to do so?

I know nothing and would send 50k to binance each week and set a limit order every monday. Is there a better way?

Thx Smiley

This is no hard and fast rule to DCA and everyone has their own technique for DCA bitcoins.

If I was in his place, I would have the market buy 50K every week into bitcoins. In this way, my average price of bitcoin would have been averaged out at a very decent rate and I think this is the best way to DCA.

However, just keep in mind that you do DCA in the bear market or in times such as now where the bitcoin price is not at all time high and also it is in no way near to its ATH. I prefer DCA in bear season and do not buy Bitcoin at all in the bull market when the prices are very high.
867  Economy / Exchanges / Re: *warning* Huobi insolvency rumours on: August 09, 2023, 06:21:43 PM
According to the latest news, Justin Sun inject a ton of money into Huobi recently to help solve this issue. Let's see if that will work out or not.
Can you please share a source of this news? My bad! I'm not following any news lately due to having a busy time in real life. If I can remember correctly, when FTX collapsed, Justin Sun was trying to do the same as you claimed for Huobi. That would be interesting! This guy is involved with heavy manipulation in the cryptocurrency space. He has been accused of being involved in a pump and dump scheme.
If your claim is true, I'm sure Houbi is going to follow FTX lol. I'm now confused about whether Justin Sun is doing good for the community or the biggest fraud  Grin

Justin Sun is the sort of person who always tries to remain in the news, He was there to help FTX but never help. Similarly, he may be willing to save Houbi too by saying such things to remain popular in the news, but when it comes to actual 0n ground helping, you will find  Justin Sun and tron foundation nowhere.

By the way, if Huobi exchanges also become bankrupt and/or scam exits, this will be another major set back for the crypto market and again we may see another temporary dump in the market, however due to halving hype. do not expect the market to remain down for a longer period.
868  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Invoices through Crypto on: August 09, 2023, 06:00:16 PM
While I agree with @bitmover that invoices in crypto are unnecessary, I can also think that people or businesses may want to get "a paper" certifying, in an easy and understandable way, a payment.

I've super quickly scanned through that "advertising" page (which is much better than what OP posted here) and I find the 1% fee for that excessive. As said, no matter how fancy it is or how god it may (or not) be implemented, the information this "service" relies onto is publicly available.

Also, there will be companies coming out with such solutions only to get money from people who are ignorant of the fact that Bitcoin and crypto transactions do not require invoices. They will target the audience by using fancy words like "Crypto Invoices" and may pay to some high-traffic blogs and on social media to further advertise their services.

Anybody using these paid services is only wasting his money as everything is transparent and clear in blockchain and we do not need proof as invoices.

869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Came back from long haitus on: August 09, 2023, 04:54:19 PM
I came back here on Bitcointalk from a very long hiatus due to personal reasons. I wanted to start offering again my services such as participating in signature campaigns but I don't know where to start. Can some tell me what are the current qualifications to join some campaign and how/where to get them? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I understand that you are back after a long time so you may not know that you need to be active poster and need merits in the last 120 days etc but you should know "Where to get the signature campaigns?"

Being a hero member, you should be aware in which section you would see the signature campaigns and in which section you will find bounties. Nothing changed in that part but your asking this question makes me surprised and i wonder many suspicious things in my mind:Smiley

Either this account is hacked or newly bought by someone new to the forum and doesn't have an idea on how things work here.

Has the password been changed for this account? I don't see any notification of this in his profile.
870  Economy / Exchanges / Re: *warning* Huobi insolvency rumours on: August 09, 2023, 05:00:36 AM
Do you want their users becomes like what FTX users? Waiting to get refunded,.....
Better to be safe than sorry. Close all trading positions in Huobi and get out while you can.
I can't agree more on this and i do know now that the best practise us to withdraw funds as fast as possible and i should not say that but i was also in confusion that if we all will try to withdraw funds will it not bankrupt it? So i should change the tone back in my post but i made mistake. Thanks dear members for the correction.

If you do not withdraw your funds from the Exchange that has rumors of bankruptcy, then you are doing bad to yourself, as otherwise, people will withdraw their funds and those who are late will be left behind with their funds stuck at the exchange.

Even if you have very few funds in the exchange, you should withdraw them as that is your money and you do not want to throw it away, do you ?

In case, everyone gives a withdraw command, the exchange will surely stop the withdrawals because they do not have the funds to pay to all. That is why they are near to bankruptcy but at least you should give yourself a try and maybe you are the lucky one getting the finds out before the exchanges closes.
871  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 63$ Loan defaulted by [Rohan Kotkar] on: August 07, 2023, 10:30:56 PM
If that is true then why CYBER_COWBOY will create a scam accusation against Rohan Kotkar. I do not think anyone will destroy his/her account without any valid reason. If both accounts are operated by the same person then there is no necessity to create a scam accusation and destroy the account.
Probably to gain some trust ad merit as a new sheriff in town. If I remember so well, elmanchez also used to do the same thing. I think he posted in the scam accusations board and reputations a number of times before exit scamming.

There seems a lot of twist in this Scam Accusations and let's see in which direction this case will move.

That is really strange that in order to gain some merits or feedback, the person will sacrifice his one account and create all this drama. As i recall all this, Rohan Kotkar took the loan from CYBER_COWBOY, then he asks to extend the loan, then he asks CYBER_COWBOY to buy his account. I can't believe that both accounts belong to a single person, and they are doing a drama here, for God knows what purpose Huh

872  Other / Meta / Re: Is resetting a BTT account password bad? on: August 07, 2023, 09:22:39 PM
In the context of his post, I also do not think that a new thread is need for this. But generally speaking I have seen people hunting other users because of password change. Whenever there is a password change or an email change, they'll immediately allege that it is an account changing hands.

Changing the password is the right of every user and it should not be taken as a negative thing. However, if any user changes his password, and then we see his posting habits changed considerably then there might be a possibility that the account changed hands or the account might be sold.

Anyways, for a genuine user, this may never be a problem as the original owner of the account can always sign a message with an old address and satisfy everyone that there is no change in the ownership of the account.
873  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay are scammers.Scam 665 USDT (8638 TRX) on: August 06, 2023, 05:34:43 PM

You already attached the link to their profile which means you already saw that big red trust feedback warning shouting to their account profile. Coinplay is known scammer here for not honoring the dispute which askgambler already rule out as valid issue agaist them instead they decided to abandon the forum and keep operating without fixing all their pending scam accusation here.

It’s too bad that you knew this forum after you get scammed or else you will avoid them if you are active here.

I don't know if he had seen this profile before he deposited and played at Coinplay or he found it after he have been scammed by the casino. If he has seen this profile before, where there is so much negative feedback, he should not have deposited in that casino.

Maybe there are still platforms, forums where there is their representative and he is active?I wrote a review on Trustpilot.

Anyhow, now the damage has been done, you have been scammed and nothing can be done to recover the amount. Writing the review at Trust Polit may save other people from playing at this casino (if they check the review before playing) but for you, it's a hard lesson learned.
874  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PST.NET IS A SCAM!! HOW I LOST $27,000 IN BTC. THREAD BELOW on: August 06, 2023, 05:12:36 PM

We have already explained why we are obliged to check all the incoming transactions and how it is done, and we would be happy to communicate with you and your lawyer on this matter through our compliance department, as this is where we can provide most up-to-date information about the legal matters for this case. Moreover, any information from your side about how your retirement bonus became 100% high risk crypto will be most welcomed and would help much the investigation process.

Does OP need a lawyer for this case? OP just mistakenly sent his money and he even offer $1000 so you will send it back to the sender's address, there are too many explanations, I don't think OP created a fraud for him to go through this strenuous and depressing process, this will ruin your business and it will cause your bankruptcy because it's an honest mistake that you cannot correct by sending the money back.

Let's see in the coming days if OP will give us a positive update, I hope OP gets his money back, there's no fraud here, it's just an honest mistake.

I am little bit confused here. Have the PST.NET have returned the amount while keeping 591$ with them or did they scam the whole amount $27,500  Huh

Also, OP wanted to sent 120$  , the mistake which any human can make is to put an extra zero or two zero, making it 1200 or 12000$, but how come OP did a big mistake of sending 27500$  Huh

If they are a scammer, they will never return this amount and believe me this amount (27500$) is not a small one and they will make every excuse in the world to keep this amount with them.
875  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What Wallet Do You Store Your Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2023, 04:50:15 PM
That's also my thinking before when I was still quite new to this market. But OP soon you'll understand why it is important that everyone here will tell you that it's best to hold your Bitcoin with the wallet that you're holding the private keys. Especially if the amount you've got is already a lot and already a life savings of yours. You know that these exchanges are vulnerable to dynamic changes and policies that's why you can't trust them wholly with your funds thus, the worst comes and they get hacked and you have no assurance you'll receive a full refund.

Yes, if you are holding the wallet where you have access to the private key then for sure you are better than keeping your coins on exchanges or any other wallet where they do not give you access by username and password.

However, still, you need to choose the best wallet like in my point of view, electrum is my favorite wallet and I don't trust the Trust wallet and here both of these wallets give you access to private keys.

If for any reason you do not have a hardware wallet, I will only prefer the Electrum desktop version to store my bitcoins BTC
876  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Mixin Safe - Decentralized Bitcoin Custody Solutions | Review Campaign on: August 06, 2023, 10:39:26 AM
Bitcointalk username: virasog

Review:-
Thanks for the opportunity to review the Mixin Safe.

I started by preparing the Owner Wallet. For this, i decided to use the Mornin Key. Since it was all new experience for me, i took help from this tutorial. https://support.mixin.one/en/article/how-to-use-mornin-key-to-create-mixin-safe-1u1rf36/

I installed the Mornin Key and created an account easily. It asks me to secure my account and i did it by confirming my Mnemonic phrase. The process was clear and easy to understand until this point.

The next step is to download and install the Mixin Messager. Since i have an Android phone, I downloaded it from the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=one.mixin.messenger
After verifying it from my mobile number, it asks me to create a pin which should be at least 6 digits. I verified my PIN several times before it was successfully set up. I checked my wallet and it supported all the major cryptocurrencies. So finally my Mixin Messager was also ready.

Now I will test the deposit and withdrawal through the Mixin safe. I opened the link https://safe.mixin.zone/
First, I would need to create the Mixin Safe and it asks me to scan my Mixin Messeager. It quickly verfied and i was able to login.

The dashboard was clean however there a warning type note on top that
Quote
This is a beta software and to ensure the safety of your assets, it is not recommended to store more than $1,000.
. So i wondered when the full version of this will be released.

Next i go to the URL https://safe.mixin.zone/accounts/new to create a safe. I choose LTC and the other option was Bitcoin.

First i needed to upgrade my Plan. I opted for the 2$ plan as i am testing this and it fulfills my purpose.

On upgrade, it took to me to the mixpay site where I choose LTC for the payment. It took around 3 -4 minutes to confirm the payment and my plan was upgraded.

Now i moved to the safe section in order to create a safe. I had to scan my Mornin Key. Although the scanning was done instantly but it took some time in order to activate the wallet.

Although it showed here it will take only 1 minute to complete but it took a lot of time but the Active button was not Activated.
At that time i was thinking that maybe this is the default behavior but later i realized my mistake.

I waited for about 10 mins and nothing happened. Then I realized that i had to scan my Mornin key again in order to activate it. Scan the QR code and it activated instantly.

Now i deposited LTC. I checked that the minimum deposit was 0.0001 LTC. However, decided to deposit about 10-12$ worth of LTC.
The deposit arrived quickly then i expected.

Now it was time to test the withdrawal and to check if it asks for at least 2 approvals' before withdrawing. I opted to withdraw and i confirmed that it asks for the members approval which i did by scanning my Mixin Messenger and then i had to do the owner approval by Mornin key.

The process was completed successfully and i was able to withdrawal. I really liked this application and hope to use it in future too.

877  Other / Meta / Re: Community Vote: Add "Cybersecurity & Privacy" board to Bitcointalk. on: August 06, 2023, 02:45:28 AM
Your vote: Yes
Have you read the OP of Discussion: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll before posting?: Yes
What is your opinion on adding the board to BitcoinTalk?: Cybersecurity & Privacy is a very important subject and it becomes even more important for us when we are dealing with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as hackers are always looking for ways to exploit any loopholes in the security and hack our data/money. A new board Cybersecurity will help to create awareness among the people as how important it is to secure your system and save yourself from any financial loss.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud in the market and bitcoin volatility on: August 05, 2023, 11:59:23 PM
More pressure on Binance, I think CZ has become familiar with this, I don't expect it to have much impact on the market.

Not only CZ but people who are trading in their platform.  If ever CZ is found guilty and the SEC release a ceased and deceased order for Binance to shutdown, I believe the users will be given enough time to withdraw their funds from the platform.  Besides Binance is not the only exchange where people can trade, there are lots actually.

Another thing is that people who are into cryptocurrency are also used to this kind of FUD tactics of SEC and other government.  The China's hot and cold treatment of Bitcoin really makes a good practice to people on how to react on the news like the @OP's stated.

as they know about such scenario will happen, i strongly believe that CZ and his team is already prepared for this battle. they have all the resources to make things right, so i don't think their case will push thru to a very damaging one.

No matter how strong the CZ and Binance is at the moment, there is always a possibility of a bad sworn event and therefore we should be cautious about it.

We have seen FTX collapsing despite the fact that they were considered one of the emerging and 2nd best exchanges after Binance. SAM was considered to be a strong trusted person and FTX was considered to be an exchange with enough resources to backup but everything failed.

So anything can happen with Binance too especially when SEC is after them with full force. What is required from us is to keep our funds out of binance so that if any mishap happens, our funds are not frozen or lost in the exchange.
879  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto news feed on: August 03, 2023, 03:24:00 PM
I do not know if we can get the choice to filter out the news sources. I haven't made the account on this site so i also do not know what additional benefits we will get once we create an account there.
There are two filters, the first is according to Trust score and the second is according to Sources. I don't know how trust works, but the results are still random.

Unless and until we have a clear option to select and deselect the news sources, i don't think it will be of much interest.

Think for a moment that we can scroll through twitter and get all the relevant tweets which we follow. If there was no option of "following", everyone would be getting random unwanted tweets. Same case applies on the OP website.

We show interest more than @OP since he did not answer any of our questions.

Well, he was last active on 31 July so he did not see our messges / replies. If he ever comes back to his thread, i hope he will reply to our quieries.
880  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: August 02, 2023, 05:57:21 PM
Inflation is not wat is only being felt in some particular regions or countries, it's a global challenge we cannot do without as long as we are running under thesame economy run by government and centralized Institutions, the fiat currency we also uses does not help the situation in any way because we can't depend on a currency that depreciate in value over time due to the effect of inflation over the economy, these have served the more reasons you discover people running after the decentralized economy that cannot depreciate with the role of inflation or economy clampdown, instead, it's independent of the government controlled system of traditional fiat currency, this alone is bestowed upon the adoption of bitcoin un cryptocurrency and no other alternative.

Well, the best thing about our community is that we all know about BitcoinBTC and understand the future of BTC and also the fact that it is a hedge against inflation.

Of course, we cannot control inflation, but we can minimize the loss of our savings by converting all our savings into Bitcoin and gold. This way, we will be least affected by inflation and moreover, investment in Bitcoin means that our wealth will be increasing over time instead of decreasing.
