861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Altcoins are investors buying and hodling? on: May 18, 2017, 03:29:41 PM
i just ended my investment with ripple and got a huge profit. now all of that profit has gone into Litecoin. with their roadmap which was published for 2017 this coin is looking more than good. we are in for a huge rise.

and most importantly in the past few days tha we wee stable at a fixed price, there was always a big buy volume and it is showing all signs of accumulation phase happening.
862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Purchases on: May 18, 2017, 03:21:14 PM
you can spend them on a couple of million things. just google "where can i spend bitcoin" and find all of the things you can buy with it.

you can take advantage of services like gyft to buy gift cards and save up on a lot of money.

you can just holding them in cold storage (if that secure way to keep them you found is the same). and just hold them for a long time and wait for the price to reach a big number (many say 10K)
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: May 16, 2017, 10:41:43 AM
I think the price of ETH $1500 is impossible.

the first thing about price is coming from its supply and demand and that is true for literary anything in the world. from a loaf of bread to the most expensive things on earth.

now bitcoin has only 16 million coins available and will have 21 million after a long long time. and all this time it has gathered a lot of deamand. even big countries are accepting it as a legal way of payment. aka a currency. now bitcoin with this supply and this ever growing demand is barely worth $1600

now lets talk about ethereum. it already has nearly 92 million coins available and it has no maximum amount. until the end of this year it will probably have 150 million coins and growing. the demand however has always been restricted to two things:
1. traders buying it on exchanges. to dump later on.
2. newbies who are looking for profit buying ETH to invest in a scam ICO
both of these demands have an expiration date. and with this supply and this dwindling demand prices can only drop.

in short you can only dream about $1500 for eth Grin
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin *A Game Changer* on: May 16, 2017, 10:32:34 AM
1.Bitcoin changes financial condition of many people who don't have any source of income before joining bitcoin.
bitcoin is just money and people who can make money will make bitcoin too and vice versa. bitcoin doesn't change anything about it.

Quote
2. It give platform to investor to get high profit by investing money.
a trader trades anything, bitcoin, altcoin, forex, stocks, gold and makes money from all of them.

Quote
3. Many people start their business offline by earning from bitcoin.
this also can be done with fiat. if you can run a business you can do it with bitcoin too. and vice versa.

in short none of your reasons sound to me like any "game changer".

however, if you see bitcoin as this decentralized cryptocurrency that you can use safely and without needing any banks or any third party for that matter, then you start getting closer to the meaning of "game changer" and all the things you listed can be somewhat true.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s surge fuels fears of asset bubble on: May 15, 2017, 02:26:00 PM
there are a lot of questionable texts in OP!

but generally speaking everything started with Japan becoming super friendly towards bitcoin and when the adoption of bitcoin happen in a massive scale as a legal way of payment.

that caused the rise in bitcoin. also the internal fight that outside world doesn't know much about caused the altcoins to start their fake rises (the 500% to 4000% pumps) and now everything is bloated.

we can only hope that altcoin market horrible crash in the near future doesn't reach the media. because that can kill the altcoin market for at least 9 months.

i confirm that i have received the payment, thanks.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you storing your ethereum? on: May 14, 2017, 03:37:01 PM
I store my ETH on Poloniex, where i can exchange if i want.
Well, people mostly don't trust exchangers and themselves, so they don't keep money there. Poloniex was down some time ago, by the way, wasn't it?
Anyway, I store my eth in an online wallet (ethereum-wallet.net) and am happy for it. Password, login and e-mail -nothing else is needed. I don't use eth much, though, so I am not sure how fast this wallet operates.

you are correct but there is also one thing to remember, people usually don't hold these altcoins for long, good traders that is.
so they want to have them hot and accessible at a moments notice and as a professional trader you don't want to even miss a second. so you keep it on exchange and dump it as fast as possible to make the most profit possible.

besides running a wallet for most of these altcoins, specially ethereum with its terrible wallet is a pain in the ass and it will eat up your network and HDD so fast.
868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bank Interest VS Bitcoin profits on: May 14, 2017, 03:24:11 PM
If the concern here is for safety purposes? Banks still the best.
if you are talking about the value then you are right since fiat doesn't lose value under normal circumstances.
but if you mean "safety or security" then you are wrong, nothing is safer than bitcoin at this moment. a cold storage is literary impenetrable.

Quote
But in terms of fast profit or income increase? Bitcoin still the best to choose.  Smiley Bitcoin? It's world wide currency. The price is not that stable.
because it is still in the early stages and it is still being adopted and there are a lot more people left who need to adopt it Wink

Quote
The possibility is 50/50! Everytime the price increase and decrease but it's okay. It's a part of it. Sometimes, taking risk is good.
it disagree, it is nowhere near 50/50. the chances of price rise is a lot higher than drop. in long term i  say it is even close to 99% chance of rising and short term obviously it changes for example right now there is a bigger chance of dipping for a correction in price than there is for rising.
869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum beat Bitcoin to an ETF? on: May 14, 2017, 03:05:56 PM
unless the ethereum team (who have a lot of money, and also gained a lot more money by the recent pump from newbies wanna be rich people) are planning to bribe SEC guys i can not see any other way that they accept their ETF in a million years.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will "WannaCry" attacks bode ill for BTC? on: May 14, 2017, 02:59:12 PM
Could this be a false flag to make it look as if BTC is a currency only to be used by criminals?

i think if this was 2 years ago then you were right. but at this point in time we are way past that because to put simply there are a lot more good news about bitcoin than there are bad ones.
and with all of these good ones i doubt the number of people who think bitcoin is bad (a currency only to be used by criminals) are anything more than a handful.
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the following coins long/short term holds: on: May 13, 2017, 02:09:55 PM
since all of these are altcoins i am going to always trade them short term, i always advise others to do the same too. it is less risky and a lot more profitable but at the same time it is time consuming to trade these each day and be aware of the price each minute.

MAID and WAVES and GNT are the 3 coins from your list that i am trading these days. and also since LTC is hot these days i obviously have invested in that too.
the rest, no so much.
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will litecoin recover on: May 13, 2017, 01:51:48 PM
i see only two things in litecoin:

1) a very stable price at the moment which is staying up strongly, and each time it passes the resistance levels it jumps back above it. that shows a lot of buys happening as it gets cheaper.

2) there is a high volume on the charts. which shows there is a big accumulation going on.

so i say it is not over and we are in for the real moon landing this time.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing Faith in Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2017, 01:42:26 PM
we are all angry and sad about bitcoin and how miners are blocking the progress but i don't think any of us is losing faith in bitcoin. specially because we old users of bitcoin uderstand it well enough.
and the new comers are not losing faith either because they just started and paying a higher fee is not a problem when you are coming from a fiat system where you always paid much higher fees.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can LISK hit $1 just like STRATIS and WAVE on: May 11, 2017, 04:35:31 PM
Lisk surely deserves a good rise to a very good and much higher price, the ICO thing is kind of a downside which makes it always look bad but this coin surely deserves to rise up it has a lot of potential and the platform it offers is a pretty good one, i can even say it is 1000 times better than ethereum.

but right now the altcoin market is in a full on dumping phase and Lisk has recently had a big rise so we may see some more drops.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: May 11, 2017, 04:22:35 PM
Diversification, diversification, diversification.

Because ETH is at the root of so many asset backed tokens, the logical approach is to add a ethereum to your basket, and avoid the risky speculative coins, all the while diversifying into other settlement capable blockchains.

I think the ETH is a good alternative to bitcoin.
This a correct, because the scaling problem of bitcoin makes a lot of people feeling annoying with it.

But the point is on the succeded to drive his hardfork to the right way until this time. And the validation of ethereum transaction is underestimated. It's too fast for a lot of people.
It can be main point ether is a good alternative for bitcoin.

I think ETH scaling is worst than bitcoin, if you check their fee and the delays, it may look like fine since there is almost no one making a trandsaction with ETH, Have they tried to spam attack their network for the network thresh hold purpose?  I guess no.  Besides ETH had been centralize token which is lead by its developer and can HF the blockchain whenever they wanted it

actually there has been some increase in the number of trasnactions made by ethereum network because of its pump and all the ICO scams that are running using this platform but you are asking a very interesting question which i would also want to know the answer to.

how will other altcoins (eterum and others) react to a spam attack, will they even survive for one week let alone 2 years?
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Factom still not on Coinbase? on: May 11, 2017, 04:15:25 PM
coinbase is earning money from being a place where people trade cryptocurrencies. so obviosuly they are looking for coins that have the biggest volume in trading to earn the highest amount possible from these coins.

also there are some regulation rules involved which means they are a bit hard on what they add to their platform, it is not like other exchanges that easily list anything no matter what they are.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 11, 2017, 04:10:09 PM
Buying a house was a good decision. No matter if bitcoin continues to up and up who knows where, a house is essential and I would have done the same.

Right now the bitcoin chart looks like a "mother of all bubbles". It needs a correction.

Looks like beginning of a standard S curve to me... The part where we go upwards rapidly....
There will be a correction, but nobody knows if it will be now or @  $11k

One thing I've learned over the years is, don't miss the train to the next level...

I agree. Bought some when was 1200 high a few years ago...then suffered the uncertainty/pain of when it later crashed down below 200...but HODLERS so far ultimately win...so good time to buy is now, whatever happens

that is true but it is always best to not invest after a pump and the first $1200 was obviously a fake rise and a big bubble. the bottom was $300 and it took a long time and price even went lower than that to $200.

i am afraid this time it may be a tiny bit similar situation. $1800-$1900 is a mini bubble. and it may pop and price can go down to $1500 again.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think DOGECOIN is the future of Altcoins ? on: May 07, 2017, 05:37:17 AM
it is funny how each time there is a price rise in ANY ALTCOIN, people start talking about them in a manner as if they have solved all the problems they had and all the pump and dumps,... and they suddenly became good!

then when the unavoidable big dump comes, everyone starts desperately repeating the same things but to no effect.

then when price is properly dumped everyone becomes silent again until the next pump when the coins become "good and future of altcoin and replacing bitcoin" again!
879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin surges above $1,500 - CNBC POST on: May 07, 2017, 05:14:28 AM
it is always good that media is covering bitcoin in a positive manner. and that always helps with adoption and getting more people in. but at the same time it is a little bit scary in my opinion because any new person that comes in would be investing after the rise. and they will surely see the price drop AKA correction side of it and at first it may scare some away.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens when ethereum reaches 100 500 or 1000 dollar on: May 07, 2017, 04:59:06 AM
when and if price of ehtereum reaches above this current level instead of the reality of the current $100 bubble poping and price going down to $10, that means it will catch a lot more attention. the news will be filled with ethe news and that will bring a lot more usage to this platform.

then, that is the time when all the problems this platfom has will show themselves. and that is the time when news will start being filled with all the fails, all the problems it has,...

then worst thing will happen:
another DAO scam will take place, people lose a shitload of money and get angry, ether forks again but once again fails to do it properly and eventually kills the whole thing as people leave and price goes down to 0.5 satoshi.
