Less than a week ago, user HAKJ landed a handsome $10,000 payout on our Plinko. Thirsty for another taste of victory, he took the plunge and this time, the ball landed on a 1,000x which means another W of $5,000. Congrats!!!

884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 4090 and others on: October 13, 2022, 01:01:21 PM
According to a video posted by the popular YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, NVIDIA's rumored RTX 4090 Ti was likely to have been released as the RTX Titan Ada. However, its development was recently shelved for multiple reasons, including its voracious power requirements. The channel cites a reliable source claiming that the card has a massive TDP of 600-700W and comes with twin 16-pin power connectors. In addition, the card, which would also have the full AD102 chip rather than the reduced version found on the RTX 4090, is said to take up four slots on the motherboard. It's so large that the folks at NVIDIA would reportedly mount the motherboard on the card rather than doing it the other way around.

Apparently it melted itself as well

It just doesn't feel right to adjust your posting for a signature campaign.

This.

Burst posting is not against the forum rules. PP's posts (regardless of timing) are not shitposts and in general are positive contributions (IMO) to the forum.

Asking someone to adjust the timing to fit the advertising needs may work for shitposters - they can easily smear their shit around in thin layers with no impact to the already abysmal quality. Asking a non-shitposter to do that is counter-productive, because they're usually replying when and where a reply is appropriate, whereas replying one hour later may no longer be relevant, result in repetitive posts, etc. I can't imagine that being any better for advertising but what do I know, maybe shitposting is good for advertising.

Yes, I'm aware that ChipMixer has the same rule and I think if I'm asked to adjust the timing of my posts then my response would be similar to PP's. However I always thought that burstposting rule was there to discourage users from trying to max out their quotas by making 50 posts late Friday, not to police their otherwise healthy posting habits for better ad exposure.

Well, I feel that the anti-BP should not apply provided the user continues to post on any other day of the week.

Perhaps set the cap to 5 daily? Anything more won't count for the day. Of course there will be those that try to max out on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th but it's up to the CMs to tally to what they feel suits them.

After all, shitposting or burstposting is still exposure so assuming I'm an advertiser, I'd love to retain my campaign on this forum as long as the ROI is good. Campaign manager gets paid, more brands are interested to advertise and they get the customers they want. Win-win.

I wish that coffee in my country would be so cheap Cheesy. Well, you can get 2-3 cups for $2, but I don't think that it can be called coffee.

In third-world countries especially where I live, coffee shops or stalls are very common mainly due to economic values so we prefer to savor our drinks with toasts, pastries, noodles or rice, or simply by itself.

Once you give it a try, you can forget settling for your cuppa Starbucks Wink

In my neck of the woods, you can get two cups of coffee for $2 only by making it yourself.  Cheesy

DIY is always cheaper, but sometimes you would rather let someone else do the work haha. I grind mine as well but somehow I either opt for an instant packet or just heading off to a nearby shop Grin

Do you have a preference for any?
888  Economy / Gambling / Re: which casino has a lot of action on their Plinko game? on: October 11, 2022, 02:22:59 PM
Very interesting. Considering that many casino games only provide plinko games to see for yourself, while on this site we can see many players. Really useful information for anyone, both users and innovations for other casinos.

I agree it's interesting to see this kind of Plinko, looks exciting, I don't remember I played multiplayer Plinko before! Definitely worth trying... especially that "Plinko battle"

Definitely feel free to give it a try! Sometimes we have admins playing as well if they feel like challenging the players Grin

Yeah, that's interesting like a small amount for one, could be so important for others. If you live in North America or West Europe, it is easy to start ignoring amounts you transfer/use everyday.
Even looking for a thing like a signature campaign - in many many countries income from signatures covers a lot of daily expenses (or maybe even all of them). I wonder if we have on the forum people for whom it is a "daily job".

True that. I'm from one as well, so every dollar counts Smiley

I'm thankful signature campaign is another form of advertising. Rather than having to become an influencer, the entry barrier is less demanding to begin with.

891  Other / Meta / Re: Does Forum Advertising Considered as a Formal Work? on: October 11, 2022, 01:06:49 PM

Maybe for you (and me), but for some people coming from 3rd world countries having this as the only source of income this "job" is as real as it gets and it even demands some hard skills, like being able to write in a foreign language. I mean, there's bunch of altcoin bounty hunters who see that as their job, so I am not surprised at all when people come and ask questions like OP did.

Honestly speaking, I'm from a third-world country as well while being involved in a signature campaign. In addition to my day job, I juggle between a few sides to help supplement my income Wink

This got me thinking: how many other forum activities would you add to your resume? Pornhub? Reddit? Facebook? Twitter? In most cases it's simply irrelevant and personal.

If one's a community/ social media manager, that'd help alot in their career paths like marketing or PR.

PornHub on the other hand...  let's just save that's for another industry Grin
892  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [FREE] Set-and-Forget Passive Income Apps eBook for some beermoney on: October 11, 2022, 12:44:05 PM
good book with genuine ideas that can actually make you a little side income without much effort!

pm me if u have any more ideas like these, even if they're not passive and require effort.

need some good ways to earn money online but can't find anything worth doing.  Undecided

Hey IIrik,

Thanks for the feedback! The book contents will be updated along with the link once I find more, don't worry.

Yup, those apps you see are not meant to replace your day job. You can try GPT sites like ySense if you need more side income Smiley

Yes I was excited at first because I thought I won that 0.001 prize and from the excitement I pressed the volume key before pressing it together with the home screen and making the screenshot.

I know it is 0.2 but I forgot about the prize and I thought that I were in the time where Bitcoin was 40-60K,only after seeing the replies here coming back on earth at less than 20K.Nevertheless a good overall feeling as I said.

I mean, $2 is still $2. In my country, that could get like 3 cups of coffee Smiley

Sadly i think the silence speaks for itself. I love freebitco.in, over the years i've made a great profit from referrals and interest, but it seems behind the scenes it is just a two man operation. Kind of amazing to think they are handling hundreds of millions of dollars worth of bitcoin. I pulled some of my holdings out yesterday. It's a shame as their interest program was basically free money, but on the slim chance something goes wrong, I would lose a lot of money.

Always remember the golden rule. Not your keys, not your Bitcoin.

There are always risks associated with hot wallets and online services. While free money is always nice, there's no such thing as a perfect world.

I lost my Bitcoin just months ago on an exchange. Got myself a cold wallet after that
895  Other / Meta / Re: Does Forum Advertising Considered as a Formal Work? on: October 11, 2022, 05:50:38 AM
It may be wrong to talk about signature campaigns as a form of employment for anyone who participates in them, but I believe that there are a lot of people for whom this is the only source of income and they consider it their job. Although some will not agree that this way of earning should be considered a formal job, many people today do their jobs online, have flexible working hours and are paid for their work like someone who goes to a factory every day and works 8 hours or more.

Of course, signature campaigns are not something that should be taken as a job in the literal sense, but there are rules, pay rates, payment dates and in some countries, you even have to pay tax on this form of income if you want to do everything legally.

True, but still signature campaign posts are not counted as a real job as there are no hard skills involved, besides filling in the weekly quota. Side income, yea but that's about it.

If the employer decides to press on further, I can imagine OP having a hard time trying to convince what he/ she could bring to the table:

Employer: Tell me more about this signature campaign
OP: I get paid to post on the Bitcoin forum
Employer: What have you learned from all of this posting?
OP: I get paid weekly to submit 25 posts, including 5 in the gambling subforum
Employer: What kind of posts, if you don't mind me asking?
OP: Just reiterating what others have said
Employer: Okay. So you gamble as well?
OP: No
896  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is the performance of gambling tokens compare to other altcoins and btc on: October 11, 2022, 05:31:45 AM
Thanks for all your replies, now I understand that most gambling tokens lack real utilities, if they are been stable in a worse market condition like this it means that adoption rate is very low and the use case is not good enough, by the way I think having tokens make no sense, I don't know why they still do it.

It's hard to see them being used outside of their casinos. People mainly invest in them is just for the rewards and price appreciation, nothing else.
897  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 11, 2022, 03:18:23 AM
After playing for so many time daily I finally hit the 2 dollar prize with a single roll,of course I would have preferred much more to get the 20 dollars or the 200 dollars prize but I am still happy with it and thought to share here,1000 satoshi is a good prize for a single roll I believe.

Congrats! Did you squeeze your phone in excitement including the volume rocker as well? Grin
898  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cashback VS Bonus on: October 11, 2022, 02:58:28 AM
Is there a casino that will refund their losing players?

If technical issues arise such as from null and void matches, the bets are returned regardless of the outcome.

Not for deliberate mistakes like "My dog bet all on (color)" though

Indeed!

Both could really be applied and as you mentioned which bonus could be given when you do deposit and after playing then this is where cashback would happen.
Therefore, there's no need to choose if both things would be applied.

Honestly, im not really that a fan of bonuses considering the wager requirements on this one.So its a personal choice which one you would really
tending to engage on.Rakeback or cashback is always been best. This is what we do love on seeing.

Exactly my thoughts. But some casinos do offer non-sticky ones so your balance isn't held hostage, which is a good initiative.
899  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: October 11, 2022, 02:54:41 AM
Can bonuses even be withdrawn? This I think should be a valid question if you plan to do the same since some of the casino don't allow you to withdraw these bonuses but you need to spin them. This is kind of a tricky experiment for casinos for its just to lure you to register and deposit.

Definitely comes with strings attached.

Tricky you might say, but you lose nothing as long as the bonus is non-sticky. Initial deposit still intact
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A painter received $50 worth of bitcoin on June 2013. on: October 11, 2022, 02:41:05 AM
Moral of the stories is leave your coins on exchanges since it's much easier to retrieve your old account, if you leave your coins on hardware wallet and you forget your seeds, it's done /jk.

When the CEO of the largest crypto exchange mentions this, it should instill a state of confidence among us hodlers Wink

And yes, that's a joke as well
